Hello everyone & Happy Sunday! It's supposed to be snowy here today thru tomorrow, so hopefully we will still be able to get to DC safely to see the Washington Capitals play! I worked all day yesterday to finish up all my projects so that I could relax tomorrow, and I'll be bummed if we can't go! So we'll see....first day of March and it snows, isn't it supposed to be spring in 20 days (ha ha)---Murphy's Law I guess, LOL!
Today of course is the first day of March which means Project of the Month time for Whiff of Joy!! Katharina challenged us to make a "savings box" or piggy bank as we call them here in the States! I used a Nestle Quik container for my piggy bank--perfect container for it! My dp is all from SU's "Sweet Always" paper pack--love these fun sherbert-y colors together!
I used "Willow with Sunhat" from Whiff of Joy's Spring Collection--she's so purty! I cut her out and popped her up w/ dimensionals. Those fun, sparkly flowers are from a K&Co. pack that I got at Marcella--they matched perfectly!
I used my Word Window punch from SU to create a template on my top & then used my Tonic scissors to cut it out! Large enough for dollars & coins!
Thought I'd share some pics of 3 of my 7 furbabies for ya! Above is my cairn terrier Casey (she's 8 yrs old) who is in her favorite chair in my craft room staring out the window--this is her favorite perch during the day so she can see what's goin' on in the neighborhood, LOL!
And this is one of my 5 cats (yes 5--all rescue cats too)--this is Tucker or otherwise known as Tucker-Pie in the house! He is as cute as he is mischevious---into everything & never listening, drives me insane. And when the UPS man comes with a new box, oh boy--its cat heaven, hee hee!
Beautifully made project Suzanne.
ReplyDeleteWe call 'em piggy banks too, or money boxes.
