Trick-or-Treat Sweeties!!

Happy Monday my favorite stampin' friends! Did ya have a terrific weekend? Our's was pretty darn good even if we did end up getting more rain, hee hee! On Saturday, hubby took our son to the Open House at our local airport to see old bombers & war planes--they had a blast & got to go on many of them. Hubby called and asked if he & Riley could go on an actual flight on one of the bombers for $800--LMBO--I said "no way Jose"! Are you kiddin' me--we could all fly to the West Coast for that much money! Once they got home, we all went and finished up all the school shopping (hurray) including school supplies--only thing left is to get Alexa one more pair of flats for school. Yesterday we just hung around the house and enjoyed the almost fall-like weather (gasp--not ready to say goodbye to summer yet)! The kids have eye exams, dental appts & school orientations this week---nothin' like good ole' mom cramming everything in the week before school, LOL! Gotta fit in haircuts somewhere too--although my son says he's growing his hair out "a la surfer style", not sure about that but we'll see!

NewsBitz:

-my new demo video on using the "Bow Easy" can be found on my sidebar or HERE! Such an easy, quick way to make perfect bows everytime (including multiple loop bows) & they're only $5! I made the video because the info out there was less than adequate & I was confused when I got mine, so I was sure I wasn't the only one who needed better visual instructions, LOL! You can buy your Bow Easy right HERE!

-Susana's Store has all Shimmerz Products on SALE at 30% off--that's a good deal! Go HERE to buy yours!!

*************************************

So today I have 2 Trick-or-Treat cuties for ya! I just ADORE & LOVE these new Fall SugarPlum stamps by CC Designs (available HERE on September 7th)--each one is just too cute for words! On this lil' pumpkin card I used the girl Sugarplum and made her costume a "giraffe", but she would be cute as a lil' "cow" as well!

The pumpkin was made using my largest oval nestability to make 3 ovals & then I shaded the edges. The middle oval is attached with dimensionals so it pops just a bit. The vines were made with my scroll punch (love this punch--buy yours HERE) and then I free-hand cut out the stem. She's colored with copics & then I added stickles to her tummy and the stem, the pumpkin bag got a coat of diamond glaze & then stickles on top! The sentiment is from PTI's "Spooky Sweets" set--perfect for this lil' image! Isn't she cute--I just love how this one turned out!

Side view of my pumpkin card--I simply scored a 1" scor-line across my cardstock using my Scor-Pal & folded & attached to the pumpkin with Scor-Tape to make the card. Easy Peasy!

Second fun card uses the lil' Sugarplum "mummy" image (available HERE on Sept. 7th)--too cute I tell ya! I used my Nestabilities Mega Labels 8 to make the cool shaped card! I forget who the bat dp is by (from last year's scraps) but I created a faux "mummy wrap" by cutting strips of PTI's shimmery silver cs & attaching to the dp. I added some actual medical gauze behind the image for fun & texture & the bats are from a Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment is from PTI's "09' Halloween Tags" and I used my smaller pinking circle nestabilities as a back mat.
Even though he's a cute mummy he had to have a lil' bit of shimmer a la Suzanne style, hee hee! So I gave him a good coat of Pixie Dust Shimmerz on top for just a soft shimmer. Spooktacular I say!

Have a Boo-tastic Day!!

Harvest Time!

Happy Saturday friends! Whatcha' got planned for the weekend? We're finishing school shopping today (ack) so please pray for me, hee hee! After that we have nothin' planned for the evening which sounds good to meeeee! Plus its supposed to be dreary & rainy here again today, so its a good day to snuggle in w/ a great book! Sunday, hubby & son are going to our local airport for an airshow of helicopters, bombers & other 'guy' stuff while Alexa & I stay home! Hopeful to get some craftin' in so my week isn't too crazy--the kids both have their 6th & 8th grade orientations this week and we might try and go away for a few days for the holiday. I want to go the the Maryland Eastern Shore and hangout for a few days & eat lots of yummy blue crabs (my favorite food evah') & relax before the new school year starts & holidays appear fast on the horizon!

NewsBitz:

-haven't had enough sun to shoot my Bow-Easy video & new Copic tutorial, but hopefully will get that done on Sunday! So stay tuned!

-In "Suzanne's Book Reviews" for ya (LOL)--I just finshed Karen White's "House on Tradd Street" which was FABULOUS--her new one will be out in Nov.! Another one I finished yesterday which was great too was Jennifer Weiner's "Goodnight Nobody"--I love her books! Her "Certain Girls" is a great one too! And I'm counting down the days until Sept. 15th when Dan Brown's new book comes--I will be taking the entire day off to read it, hee hee!

*************************************

Just one card for ya today--sorry no postie yesterday but I didn't have internet until 9 pm last night & wasn't able to get it done :o( (but I did finish my book, hee hee) This card uses the fabulous Lockhart Stamp Co. "Harvest Angel"--isn't she fab!? Karen has done a few of these angels for different seasons & they're all lovely. I colored her w/ Copics and used my new Nestabilities Labels 9 to cut out my angel & cs layer. I used my Bow-Easy again to make my bow, and the sentiment is from PTI's Autumn Abundance set. I punched scrolls out w/ my fave punch & added some fun rhinestones to the centers. And of course stickles on her leaf wings & diamond glaze on the hurricane glass! Perfect for fall holidays!

Alrighty, have a fabulous weekend & I'll see ya back here on Monday!

Denim--1 Sketch, 2 Ways!!

Hello everyone & Happy Thursday to ya! Wahh--it's not Friday yet? I'm sooo ready for the weekend I tell ya! Tomorrow I'm off to lunch with some girlfriends so that will be fun & get me outta the house for a bit w/o kiddos! And then me & the fam have movie nite planned for tomorrow night. We're ordering Bertucci's pizza (my ultimate favorite--with prosciutto, carmelized onions & mushrooms--YUM) and watching the "Wizards of Waverly Place" movie that's premiering on Nickolodeon Friday nite. Yes, I admit I do love that show--that & George Lopez reruns make me laugh I tell ya, hee hee! And I LOVE animated movies too--can't help meself--all that innocent fun!! We all need some good laughs--I love to laugh & if you ask my dear daughter, I laugh WAY too loud for her liking, hee hee---that makes me laugh LOUDER, lol!

NewsBitz: I still have some SU stamps available HERE if you're interested!!

****************************************
2 Cards & 1 Sketch

So today I've done 2 cards using different images but all the same elements & same sketch--I love to do that! Since you already have the supplies out, you might as well make another project right?LOL! The layout for both was yesterday's SCS Sketch #243 & all the papers are from Stampin Up! (the tan cs is Coredinations)

This first card uses a fabulous Sarah Kay image called "Elodie in her Garden"--available here! I LOVE Sarah Kay images & I haven't inked one up in forevah'-isn't she a cutie!! I colored her with Copics and then added some stickles for sparkle! The doily border was done w/ a Martha Stewart punch and the charm was from a gift pack I got--but find similar ones HERE! And that FABULOUS BOW?? Done with a wonderful new tool called "Bow Easy"--you can get yours at Susana's store HERE & it is super easy to use (you can even make double & triple bows, and different sizes). I'm doing a up-close YouTube video to show how to do it for ya tomorrow--you will lovee it & it's only $5!

Up close shows the diamond stickles on the water & bees and some "new paint" on the watering can that is (soon-to-come to Susana's store, stay tuned for details--you will lovee it)! I just love her cute lil' self!!

Second card has all the same elements except this time I used the fabulous Lockhart Stamp Co. image "Delphiniums & Peony" available HERE! (I love this image--it's one of my faves that Karen drew) The image was colored w/ copics & the watering can has a coat of diamond glaze on it, the flowers have diamond stickles (my 2 fave products, hee hee)! The buttons are all from Paper Trey Ink and the bow was made w/ the Bow Easy too! So the next time you have your supplies out, make 2 different cards that are similar--it's fun!

See ya tomorrow!

Some Like It Hot!!

Happy Wednesday my friends! Some Like it Hot--hee, hee!! Do you? I like my weather hot, my shower hot, hot chocolate but NOT spicy hot food, LOL! My son on the other hand likes spicy food ALOT--last night we ate a restaurant that has varying degrees of hot wings & he ate the hottest, YUCKO--just the smell made my nose hurt, hee hee! He gets that lovely trait from his uncle & grandma (my mom & brother)--the rest of us are wimps when it comes to spicy! I mean Riley's favorite snack is a jalepeno pepper--ewwwwww! My idea of a snack usually involves something gooey with chocolate & caramel inside-LOL! Although Jillian Michaels is not too happy with me since I haven't exercised w/ her in 2 weeks, YIKES--she might come kick my butt, hee hee! But I have been running still, just gotta get back into a better workout routine once the kids start back to school. We've been all over the place this month with crazy bedtimes, meal times & such that somedays I don't even know what day it is! (well actually that's any day for me, hee hee) Anywho, my HOT projects today only involve my fave color combo-Hot Pink & Black!!

******************************************

So for all of my projects today I used the same dp from Paper Trey Ink (raspberry fizz & basic black)! For this notecard set I used the fabulous Lockhart Stamp Co. "Strawberries"--isn't it fab & you can get yours HERE!? I didn't really color my strawberries true to color cuz' I wanted them Hot Pink & fabulous, hee hee! My layout is from a sketch from last week's Verve Anniversary Challenges--love the faux quilt background ( I used my one inch scalloped square punch to make my cut-outs). The strawberries got diamond stickles & the bowl was coated w/ diamond glaze! The soft pink edges around the image were done w/one of my favorite tools that I use all the time on most of my images--the Ranger Inkssentials Blending Tool (buy extra sponges & tool here)! I just love this tool & in one of my YouTube videos I show how to use it (the Cardmaking Process video on sidebar)--very easy & gives such a soft effect!

I made 2 of these cards as a set (hard to part w/ I must say, hee hee) & they are for sale on my Etsy site if you're interested in them! Personally, I love how they turned out--LOL!

Next up is a birthday Magnolia card I made for a very special friend (it's making it's way across the country now, hee hee)! I decided to keep the theme the same & did strips of the dp instead of squares. I used a fabulously cute Magnolia from the "Pet Collection"--this is "Tilda w/ Cat" and she's available HERE at Magnolia-licious! I colored her with Copics to match my color combo & added some diamond glaze to her fun pink shoes! The dp, ribbon & sentiment (from Vintage Picnic) are all from PTI & the flowers are stacked Primas! The fun charm came from my friend Nikki of Bunny-Zoe's blog store right HERE--she has bunches of fab charms & super fast shipping :o) I hope the recipient loves it as much as I do--she was so much fun to make :o)

That's all for me today--I'll see ya tomorrow!

Girly Rulz!!

Hiya friends! Whatcha' up to today? I have errands to run & some craftin' to do & laundry (not necessarily in that order, lol)--aren't I exciting! Someone made a comment the other day saying our neighborhood should be on that reality "Housewives" show & I laughed--definitely wouldn't pick me as I fly low on the radar & don't really do anything newsworthy, hee hee! I think viewers would fall asleep watchin' me in action :o) But that's okay with me, cuz' I wouldn't want to give up my privacy & peace that's for sure--no amount of money would change that! I'd always be filmed or photographed in my workout clothes or jammies, LOL--they'd be askin' does that women ever get dressed!! No, actually I do dress NICE when I'm actually outta the house, but if you're just hangin' around craftin' & doin' chores, Who the HECK cares, right? I am not too proud to wear my jammies (you've all seen my Copic videos & most were done in my jams, hee hee)--I wear them out with the dogs & to the mailbox, LOVE THEM! And Jammy days are the best I tell ya--if you haven't had one lately YOU SHOULD per Suzanne's instructions, LOL!

Try It Out Tuesday Challenge #33

So today is "Try It Out Tuesday Challenge #33" for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design and I challenged the DT to make alter or make a notebook/book cover! Of course I couldn't stop there & decided to make a matching card & 2 cute lil' purses (more on this fun technique below) that can hold a note or candy! This whole idea (projects & papers) were thought up the other night while I was in bed trying to sleep, LOL--I love it when it comes together even bettah' than I imagined! All of my dp is from Stampin' Up's new "Razzleberry Lemonade"--I love the colors & patterns in it! And the fabulous stamp is from Victoria Case for SCACD "Hearts & Hugs Series 2" line--isn't she a cutie, her name is "Aud" (after one of our fabulous DT members)! She is perfect for so many events & occasions I tell ya (and only $7)!!

I used this past week's Friday Sketcher's Sketch #66 for my card layout--a fab one indeed IMO! I used more Prima Caboodles (love them), a scroll punch, rhinestones and a Cuttlebug Embossing folder!
This is a pretty large notebook & has tabs inside too so someone can have different sections if they want--I picked them up at Target last year (of course, lots of big ones & small ones too, lol)! I covered mine with more cs & dp using my fave Scor-Tape to adhere it with so it's super durable! I used the same embellies that I used on the card--the letters are from some Sizzix dies I have & then I embossed them w/ my CB "swiss dots" folder. The entire notebook got a healthy spritz of baby's breath Shimmerz Spritz!

So I was going thru my new Spellbinders dies the other day & saw two that I knew would work perfectly to make small purses!! I used Nestabilities Labels 6 & 7 for these 2 purses! I just cut them out with my Cuttlebug using the largest die in each pack, folder them in half & added handles. For the pink one I embossed it & cut a half circle out for the handle and added a Prima flower too. The patterned one has ribbon handles, a Prima & it stays closed with a magnet. These are perfect for party favors, lunchbox notes or place settings--they can hold a note or small piece of candy. Wouldn't these be cute sitting on a table as place settings w/ nametags on them for a ladies luncheon or girls birthday party--FUN I tell ya! And easy peasy to make too!

Isn't "Aud" just the cutest? I just love her! I added diamond stickles to her sweater & purse, diamond glaze on her boots & eyes & some small rhinestones on her hairbow (and yes she's colored w/ Copics)! Cute I tell ya! And the whole set is up for sale on my Etsy shop if you're interested in it (on sidebar)!

Now make sure to stop by the store blog "Follow Your Heart" to see the rest of the DT's delightful projects today!

See ya tomorrow!

Pumkins, Pumkins!

Happy Monday everyone! Did ya have an awesome weekend? Ours was pretty good minus the hurricane drenching rains & storms we got Friday & Saturday! Wow--we got 4 inches of rain here, we needed rain but NOT that much, LOL! Even with the rain we braved it & headed to Tyson's Corner Mall (our big, gigantic) mall with hubby, son, duaghter & daughter's friend! ACK! We figured everyone would stay away due to the awful weather, but OH NO--they were ALL there at the mall with me! ARGHHHHHH--I HATE CROWDS OF PEOPLE!! We did manage to get about half of our shoppin' done but I still gotta go again---lord help me & provide me with lots of ADVIL!! LOL--I hate school shoppin! So to recover the Dean Family had jammie day yesterday, hee hee---my favorite activity in the whole world :o) But I did manage to sell the majority of my SU sets (yay) & work on some new projects for this week! I've gots lots to share with ya this week that's for sure!

NewsBitz:

-A Happy, Stampendous Birthday Shout-Out to Diana Crick today!! She's a wonderful boss, stamp store owner, super talented (she invented the Scor-Pal ya know), kind & amazingly generous lady I tell ya! I had the wonderful opportunity to have lunch with her at CHA last year & she is EVEN nicer in person :o) Happy Birthday Diana--I hope it's a "Magnolia-Fabulous Day"!! Drop her a line at the Magnolia Store & give her a bday wish 'kay!!

-If you haven't gotten any of the NEW Victoria Case for SCACD stamps yet--whaddya waitin' for! These cuties are a steal at $7 a piece or the whole sheet of 8 stamps for $40 (that's $5 a piece--a total deal)!! They're a must have I tell ya!! Get yours HERE!

-And I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to those of you who buy from my Etsy shop!! Some of you are my "regulars" hee hee & I just really want to let you know how much I appreciate you buying my projects! I hope they give you as much joy as I have making them! It's great to have supporters buying handmade projects--if you haven't checked out Etsy you really should! They have so many fabulous goodies of all kinds (cards, shoes, fashion, housewares, etc.) & they're all handmade, which makes them even more special. You can see them all HERE!

*************************************************

So today I have a fun project for ya! A bit ago, Christine of All That Scraps (& fabulous illustrator of the CC Designs Sugarplums stamps) had an early pre-order of their Fall Sugarplum Stamps & of course I HAD to have them, hee hee! Now these stamps will be available on Sept. 7th right HERE if you want them! I will have a couple more cards done with them this week--they are stop-ur-heart CUTE I tell ya! The dp on this card is new from PTI along with a sentiment from CC Designs Fall Sugarplum stamps their new set "Fall Elegance". I say "pumkin's" (not misspelled, hee hee) cuz that's what my son called them when he was little & it always cracked us up--so to tease him now every fall we always say we're goin' to get lotsa pumkins!! LOL

I used quite a few stamps on my card today & below is a slideshow w/ instructions showing how I paper pieced this cutie in case you don't understand or know how to do it!! I paper pieced her apron & headband and colored the rest of the images (girl & wagon, pumpkin & fence). Remember to color your image FIRST before adding the paperpieces--much easier & you can still add shading to the paper piecing with your copics so it doesn't look flat!

Another "Suzanne Tip of the Day"(LOL) is my nestability shapes--I used the largest Scalloped Square Nestability (7 Kids has these nesties HERE & others for sale for $16.99--a deal for sure) to go behind my image but I still wanted a darker color behind that but didn't have a larger nestie. So I cut the same size scalloped square out of my darker cs & then cut all 4 sides off in strips & adhered them to my scalloped square so they peeked out just a bit!! Now I have a 2-toned scalloped square!! This makes all of your flat-edged nesties much more versatile for ya!

I cut the main part of my image out & popped it with dimensionals in front of the fence and then added another cute pumkin! The pumkin's & her shoes got diamond glaze on them & her dress has diamond stickles for some sparkle! So cute!

See ya back here tomorrow!

Some Sunshine for You!!

Happy Saturday friends! Hope you're enjoying the weekend so far! We've had lots of rain(which we needed) & storms yesterday & today! I want to state that I HATE "Murphy's Law"--who came up with it & why does it even exist? LOL! I swear, I left the house yesterday afternoon & it was bright AND SUNNY! No sooner did I get to my 1st destination & it started pouring & thundering (the kinda rain you cannot see thru) & I got drenched! I get home & no later than a half-hour, the sky clears up & the friggin' sun came out! What gives, LOL? It couldn't have waited for me to run my 2 lil' errands, oh no--so I had to get new clothes on & re-do my hair & makeup for date nite w/ hubby, hee hee! And then what does it start to do AGAIN when we're getting ready to leave for dinner---yeah, you guessed it, it POURED AGAIN!! I was ready to just have a drive-thru dinner, lmbo! It was like a rain cloud was followin' me, I swear! Anywho, that's enuff about my exciting events yesterday, LOL!

NewsBitz:

-Don't forget to enter for my Halloween Blog Candy on THIS POST with all the details! You have until August 24th at midnite (EST) to do so!

-If you haven't checked out the NEW Victoria Case for SCACD stamps at Susana's Store HERE--you need to I tell ya! They are C-U-T-E!!

-I also wanted to share that I got 2 more projects published--wahooo! And one of them made the COVER!! They'll be out early next year--I'm soooo excited, still dancin' around the room!!

****************************************

So today I've got some sunshiney projects for ya to chase away that rain-cloud, hee hee! Both of my cards were based around this fabulous wire ribbon I found at Michaels--I just lovee it! First up is this fabulous Lockhart Stamp Co. "Peaches" image! I even googled a peach pic to make sure I colored it correctly, hee hee--I love fresh peaches but not as much as my MOM, she has bowls of them every summer! I used PTI's fabulous "summer sunrise" cs & dp cuz' it matched the peaches so perfectly. I added some diamond stickles to that fun lettuce bowl & a few Bella Baubles in "oyster" to finish it up! The scalloped border is done w/ my SU border punch! Summer Fabulous!

Next card uses a fabulous new image from Stampavie done by artist Tina Wenke--she has such cute images--see them all HERE! And that sunflower is so much fun & matches my ribbon of course :o) I used some nut brown Flower Soft on the center of it for lots of texture. Some diamond stickles got in there too after I colored it up with my Copics! And can you believe it--I used NO PATTERNED PAPER on this card, lol! I just used cs from PTI & embossed the blue cs with my Cuttlebug "Perfect Paisley" embossing folder!

The sentiment is from a new PTI set "Autumn Abundance"--great set! Those fabulous sunflowers are from my friend Nikki's store HERE! Just 2 fun & fabulous summer invoking cards for ya!!
Aren't they cute? Love 'em!!

Alrighty I'm off for the rest of the weekend, hee hee---gotta get some rest! Have a great one!

Alot of Somethins'!!!

Happy TGIFriday to you all! I'm so excited its the weekend--yay! Hubby is taking me to the movies tonight to see "Julie & Julia" cuz' I finally finished the fabulous book (yes, he does love me that much, lol) & to dinner w/o kiddo's--yeehaw! Now I lovee my children but I CANNOT wait until Sept. 7th to get their lil' bums back in school, hee hee---they're driving me & each other CRAZY!! I am ready for some peace & quiet in the house that's for sure! And other than that we have absolutely NO plans for this weekend other than some pool time! After last weekend we're still recovering, LOL!

Anywho, I've got a very long blog post for ya today--so make sure & go all the way to the bottom of this post so you don't miss a thing (maybe some blog candy, hmmm), 'kay?!! A Magnolia-licious Blog Hop & New Victoria Case for SCACD release!

*************************************************
First is the "Tricks-n-Treats" Magnolia-licious DT Blog Hop!

So today the Magnolia-licious has a very special "Tricks-n-Treats" BLOG HOP for ya today! The Blog Hop starts at the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog HERE & then you can hop along to see all the "frightfully fun" projects! But after me you need to hop along to Kerry's blog! The entire DT has made some fun fall cards & treats/favors for the hop today! I used the fabulous new My Mind's Eye "Boo To You" dp & embellies for all of my projects! All of the Magnolia stamps can be found HERE at Magnolia-licious!

First up this fabulously bewitching lil' "Tilda w/ Spider" found HERE at Magnolia-licious of course! I just layered a bunch of the dp to make stripes and added some fun spiderwebs with my Martha Stewart punch & added glitterdots to them for corner adornments! Tilda got some diamond stickles on her apron & diamond glaze on her witchy boots & hat! She's just so "witch-fabulous", LOL--love her! The sentiment is from the new PTI set "2009 Halloween Tags".

Second up is this fun boxy-bag from the Scor-Pal site--you can find the instructions HERE (its called a window box). I altered it by eliminating the top so it was open & did a ribbon handle instead! I used the Dracula-fab "Halloween Edwin" found HERE for the front of my box-bag! The borders were done with a fiskars border punch & I added some stars with glitterdots too. Edwin got some diamond glaze on his shoes & cape for shine as well. I filled the box-bag with pixie stix treats--I lovee to make these! Basically you just take 2 pixie stix & sandwich them in between 2 scalloped circle cut-outs & attach w/ Scor-Tape (which I used on all of my projects along w/ my Scor-Pal). I layered different colors of cardstock all cut out with my Nestabilities (Scalloped & reg. Circles & Pinking Circles) & then attached some more of the PTI's "2009 Halloween Tags" to the centers. Just a fun & quick treat & the kids love 'em!!

Just a side-view of the boxy-bag & the fun lil' tags I added to the side! Those spiders are from another Martha Stewart punch I bought last year ( I get mine at Michaels).

Last but not least I have another candy treat holder from the Scor-Pal site--directions for this are HERE(called Peek-a-Boo Treats box)! I used a Nestability (Labels 3) to cut the center & attached a transparency to the inside--inside is a bag of jellybeans! The front was covered with some more fun dp & a cute lil' spider embelly that came in the My Minds Eye "Boo to You" paper kit HERE!

Now how would you like to win ALL of these fabulous Halloween projects put together by me especially for you, hee hee!
All you have to do is leave a comment on my post today telling me "What your favorite Fall activity is?"!! Got it? You have until August 24th (midnite EST) to leave a comment on this post only!! And if you participate by making your own fun project & uploading to the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog you will have a chance to also win a $10 gift certificate to the Magnolia-licious Store!! How fun!!

Now keep on hopping along cuz' fabulous Kerry is next on this hop!

***************************************
Now up is the FUNTABULOUS NEW Release from Victoria Case for SCACD--"Hearts & Hugs Series 2"! That's right ladies, these cutie pies are available right now HERE at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design store exclusively!

Once again Susana's Custom Art & Card Design DT has samples featuring all of the new stamps on their blogs today (links on my sidebar) as well as Victoria Case's DT (find links HERE)! Today I'm showcasing the fabulous "Game Night" stamp--isn't this girly a cutie w/ her lil' buggy friends! I used some of my favorite DCWV "Citrus" dp--so bright & cheery! I colored this image up with Copics to match & added some diamond stickles to her skirt & the butterfly. The cute lil' grasshopper got a coat of diamond glaze (yes these are my 2 most FAVORITE products, lol & Susana keeps me supplied). Those fabulous flowers are Prima Caboodles found HERE--they're so pretty! The layout is this week's Verve Mojo Monday Anniversary sketch--Day 3! Can't wait to get the rest of these cuties inked up! Make sure & get yours so you can play too 'kay!!

Wheww, that was a long one today---LOL--I'm done now & off to run many errands :o) Hope you enjoyed all the projects today! See ya!

Suzanne

Time for Autumn!!

Happy Thursday Friends!! How's everyone doin' today? I still feel half dead, hee hee--but I did go out to dinner w/ hubby last nite which was nice. I hadn't been outta the house since last Friday--I love my new craft room but I don't wanna be in it ALL the time, LOL! Glad you all liked my room too--if you had seen what my other room looked like, aye-yi-yi! No storage areas, no walls (only big windows) & everyday I was sure I would die a sad death being taken over by craft products (not too bad a way to go, hee hee--but I'm too young for that)! So now I breathe easier knowing I won't die a "death by stamps", LMBO!! :o)

Here are some answers to some questions I got yesterday about my room:

(1) My white cabinets came from Lowes & hubby built them (all of them were $650 together)
(2) Paint is Valspar from Lowes called "porch swing" (low VOC) matches SU's "soft sky" perfectly!
(3) The only stamps I have in CD cases are my PTI's, Gina K's & CC Designs, the white cabinet holds clear stamp sets and in my closet I have large sterilite drawers that hold all my red rubber stamps (separated by company) & my wood stamps (Lockhart & etc.) & of course all of my "Maggies" (Magnolia's & they are separated by theme)
(4) My ribbon in the pantry racks have stick pins in the rolls to keep the ends from flappin' off

Today I get to show you my favorite of them all "Autumn"--isn't she cute & fabulous. I love her pose & her fabulous UGG boots with pom-poms! I colored her w/ Copics to match my dp by Chatterbox & Daisy Bucket! The layout is from this week's SCS Sketch #242 which was perfect for this image! The sentiment is a SU rub-on! And those are fabulous Bella Baubles at the top of the card too.

I added Diamond Stickles to her sweater, leaves & pom-poms for lots of sparkle! No card is complete in "Suzanne's World" w/o sparkle, LOL! Her eyes got some Diamond Glaze too--Victoria's images are perfect for this! I just adore her--she reminds me of my daughter when she about 8 yrs old! Of course she still wears UGGs though :o)

Now make sure & hop around the DT blogs to see all the fabulous stamps that will be released tomorrow!

New Room & Matchin' Card!!

Hi friends! Hope your week has been swell so far!! I seem to not be getting rid of this nasty sinus/head cold stuff very fast--ugh, it's still hangin' around! But I did eek out a card for ya today and I have some pics of my new craft room!! Only 2 things left to do in my room--hubby has to hang up my toile plates & put the silver handles on my large cabinets & it's done--hurray! I really love it--so pretty, clean & most of all super organized! I love organization---makes me sooo much more productive! And for anyone who is curious, the quote on the wall above my shelves is by "me" that I had custom made by UpperCase Living--great company for making words & quotes for your walls! I have had this quote & a bunch of others for over a year now & have just procrastinated on putting them up, hee hee! Good thing I waited or else this quote would be in my other room :o( & you can't move 'em once they're up!! Anywhoo, movin' on for the day! **PICTURE SLIDESHOW OF MY CRAFT ROOM BELOW**

So today I have a Magnolia card for you that I made to match my "new" craftroom, hee hee, no lie!! I wanted a pretty card to display on my shelf that matched & yes I am anal that way :o) I used this fabulous new "Tilda w/ Birdcage" available at Magnolia-licious HERE--isn't she adorable? I used yesterday's Verve Mojo Monday Anniversary Sketch (Day 2 HERE) for my layout which I just loved! The black/white dp is from PTI, as is the ribbon. The cardstock is retired SU soft sky (I adore it, hoard it, matched my room paint to it & need more--if you know anyone who wants to get rid of some, let me know) that I embossed w/ a Cuttlebug Folder(textile texture)!! The sentiment is from PTI's "Wishing You" set!

I added some diamond stickles to her dress & hairband & then coated her shoes & birdcage with Diamond Glaze for shine. I made her lil' birdie a finch cuz' I liked the pop of yellow :o) I just adore her & she is happily sitting on my black hutch in my craft room, hee hee!

Below are pictures of my craft room and here are some quick answers to any questions, hee hee!

-my Rubbermaid X-cubes are available HERE or HERE!
-PTI stands for Paper Trey Ink
-my paper cutter is by Tonic & available HERE (the best by far-never needs new blade, sharpens itself)
-toile curtains I've had but they came from Country Curtains
-Upper Case Living is fabulous for quotes for your wall--see HERE for more info
-I did not show the inside of my closet--it is super organized but not worth showing, hee hee-I have lots of space to grow into
-My ribbon pantry shelves I got at Lowes but I think Target & Home Depot have them too!
-Any other questions, lemme' know!
-And big huggies & lots of love to my hubby who persevered with me all weekend to get this room completed--love ya!!

Back To School!!!

Hiya Stampin' Friends!! It's a happy Tuesday for ya! I will try and keep this short & lovely for ya today cuz' I'm not feelin' so hot. I think I'm getting another sinus infection-ugh-must be from cleaning & dusting out 2 rooms really good. Isn't it amazing at what hides down below furniture even though you vacuum regularly--GROSS! And it can't be the new paint because I bought the low VOC paint from Lowes which was fab & no smellies! But my head feels like it might explode at any moment & my ears are poppin' away, ugh! So I'm gonna rest a bit today & see how it goes!

**********************************************

Since it's Tuesday that means it's another Try It Out Tuesday Challenge for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design Store! This week I challenged the DT to make a Back to School Gift for either a student or a teacher! I decided to make a student gift with a card & a lil' backpack to hold a small treat or gift! You can find the instructions for the backpack right HERE--it's not hard to do but it does take awhile to get done (or at least for me cuz' I didn't feel so hot while I was making it, LOL).
I used Pink Cat Studio's "Dress Up Lily" & "Lily & Billy Accessories" & YES Susana carries most of their line in her store--one stop shoppin' ya know! All of the fabulous dp is new from Imaginisce's "Teacher's Pet" line---so stinkin' cute (did you see those lil' apple faces, so fab)!! I cut Lily out & then attached her lunchbox & apple with dimensionals--then they got a good coat of diamond glaze for shine along with a few stickles. Had to add some fab buttons including that cute lil' apple (I just cut the shank off of it).
I have been wanting to make one of these cute lil' backpacks for awhile now--they're perfect for a note in the front pocket & a treat inside! (Instructions for it HERE) Both of my flaps close with a brad & magnet closure and I used 2 colors of ribbon for the handle & back straps. How cute would this gift be to tuck into someone's lunchbox the first day of school or leave on the table in the morning with breakfast! This is for sale in my Etsy shop (on sidebar if you're interested)!

I'll see ya back here tomorrow hopefully if I'm feelin' better :o)

My Favorite Gal!!

Hi Friends & Happy Monday to ya! Just a short post for you today cuz' I am busy, busy today. My room is soooo close to being picture perfect ready for ya, but a few more things to do first and then I'll share pics. Needless to say, hubby & I are exhausted from moving furniture, painting & carrying stuff up & down stairs. My old craft room will soon be hubby's study on the main level (it was downstairs in our basement (finished area))--his study will be Riley's new "playroom/hangout area" and I took over the old playroom upstairs on the second floor--whewww! Next weekend we'll move all his huge, heavy study pieces upstairs & organize but we're tuckered out---plus we need help moving that stuff, too heavy for me! But I must say I have too much stuff, hee hee--but it's all organized & put neatly away & I LOVE my new room! So clean & fresh---tiffany blue & black/white toile/zebra print! LOVE IT!! LOL! Most importantly it doesn't feel like my stuff is going to fall on my head & overtake me anymore, hee hee! Ack---my old room was a MESS I tell ya! Hope to have pics for you on Wednesday!!

NewsBitz:

-New Victoria Case for SCACD will be released this Friday at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design! Blog Candy will be on the store blog HERE starting this Wednesday, and the DT will have Sneak Peeks on their blogs starting Thursday for ya! They are CUTE!!

-Stampin' Up Stamps for Sale HERE still! I am adding more to my list for tomorrow (alot more, hee hee)

**********************************************
Today's card was made for this past week's Friday Sketcher's challenge #65--great sketch! I used the fabulously cute "Emma" from Elisabeth Bell for SCACD line! The dp is by Basic Grey's "Eva" and the flowers are a mix of Petaloo & Prima roses! She's got a little bling on her sandals & headband with diamond stickles too! And those lovely pearls are actually Bella Baubles in Oyster found HERE! I "FOUND" some (ok, alot) of unused stamps that I had (gasp) and one of them was a fabulous sentiment set from Hanna's Stamps--such cute handwritten sayings!

Just a lil' closes-up of this cutie--love the lil' kitty :o) The Copics used to color Emma are all available at Susana's Store HERE and they are in the NEW SJD Copic Bundles that I've put together (New Blonde, The Pinks, & The Greys")!!

That's all for me today--I'll see ya back here tomorrow!

Suzanne
