Folk Art Fun!

Happy TGIFriday folks!  Its the weekend whoot whoot..its been a long week! We have a busy Saturday picking out new carpet for the basement (due to the flood) and paint for the walls so we can get that underway.  And of course its SuperBowl Sunday.  This is the first time in years we haven't had a party or gone somewhere fun for that day...but I'm tired LOL. Sitting at home with a few friends and eating some nomnoms is about all the effort I feel like making this year.  Plus I don't care who wins although I am leaning towards the Broncos...last year the Ravens played so we had a bit more vested interest ;)

Anywho, hope you have a great weekend and stay warm.  I have some new posts on my other blog here in case you missed those...including concert pics from last weekend!

Today I'm using this beautiful digi "Folk Art Bird" from Carmen Medlin for SCACD. You gotta check out all these beautiful digis (oh the cats & whale are more of my faves)...so fun to color and use on all kinds of projects.  I wanted mine to look a bit like a Delft China piece so I kept the colors monochrome in blue and white.

If you came to my blog via Alaine then you are on the right track...scroll to bottom of post to see who to hop along to next!

My project was inspired by the beauty of Delft China

My papers are from Bazzill Basics...love these monochromatic color paper pads! The window frame die and small scroll is from Spellbinders/HeartFelt. I distressed most of my papers and image a bit. I layered some flowers and white cheesecloth in each corner.  And some pretty pearls finish everything off nicely.

Little Birdie is colored with Copics: B39,B37,B34 and B21.
Then I added some Stickles, pearls and white Sharpie poster paint marker.
I lightly stamped a text stamp around the image in baby blue as well.

That's all from me today...now you need to hop on over to

Have a great weekend!

A Catch 22

Happy TGIFriday friends!  I am off to Richmond, VA today with my family (and teen's friends) to attend Redskins Training Camp.  I got myself a VIP pass so you know Suzanne will be ALL OVERRRR that park and trying to meet my fave players..I have NO shame ;)  If you follow me on Facebook you know I'll have a few pics up there if you want to have some laughs at my expense.  If there is ONE thing I'm good at...its getting up close & personal to those I want to meet hee hee.  And I plan on meeting RGIII yes'm!  We want to see Alfred Morris again as well....we met him last year before he was a for-sure thing on the Redskins and he was so humble, nice and kind...even when I was poking his muscles to see if they were real :)  So we have printed out our pics of Riley with him and hope to get him to sign them...who knew he'd be such a breakout-star-rookie...MEEEEE helllooooo!  So that's pretty much our weeekend and then back home on Sunday for some rest.  This week has been nutters with Alexa's Senior pictures (sob) and doctors appts and getting Riley geared up for next week's start of football practice.  He will going Mon thru Sat from 8:30 til 3 everyday which means mom will be running lots with sweaty boys in her car ugh!  So hope you all have a fabulous weekend as well!

PS---see my last post below to see what I've been up to this summer and vacation pics!!

*******

Isn't she a cutie pop?  And her sentiment cracks me up...right up my alley!
If you came from my friend Susanna Boyd's blog then you are on the right track!
This is "Catch 22" from the new digi release at SCACD and she comes with the sentiment.
Best thing about digis is resizing them to your heart's desire, flip them, layer them...have fun with them!

So I used these sweet papers from Simple Stories because I loved the Shabby Chic feel and the fun colors together.  I distressed and inked all the papers which always brings another element of texture to projects...I'm big on layering and lots of texture...adds that extra ZING to everything :)  The die I used is by Memory Box and some buttons and flowers from my stash.  I trimmed the plaid paper into a fun arrow accent with my scissors and a right-angel ruler.

Catch 22 was colored with Copics:  RV000,R20,R21,R22 / BG18,BG13,BG11,BG10 / Y11,Y15.  And accented with a few Stickles here and there for sparkle.  I used a swirl stamp to add some interest around the edges too.  The sentiment says "Does this bow make my butt look big?" LOL!!

I'm last on the hop today so if  you are starting with me make sure to start at the beginning at
Alex's Blog or go to the Store Blog to see all hop participants!
Enjoy your weekend!

Owl Be There!

Happy Friday to you all!  Hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July if you celebrate it of course!  We are in DC and still on vacation thru Sunday...then real life will take place again LOL!

********************

Owl Be There

This card was created for my Grandmother who turned 92 on June 10th!  She LOVES LOVES LOVES owls...I kid you not LOL...she has them everywhere!
So I had to use this NEW stamp from SCACD "Wise Owl"from the MechAnimals line for her birthday card.  The stamp comes with a sentiment but I chose to leave it off of this card.

My grandma is the BEST...she can still race circles around me most days...was farm-2-table cooking long before it was "instyle" and can bake most people under the table.  Riley and I are visiting her and my family later this month for a week.  We always like to get up there in the summer for a bit and Riley loves it up there.  Alexa will be in Florida at SeaWorld during that time and James will be home alone...gasp LOL!

But I knew she'd love the image and I kept the colors bright and happy, perfect for my Gram!
The embossing on the white cs was done with a Couture Creations embossing folder "Super Powder Puff" (now 25% off)
I embossed the main image "Wise Owl" from SCACD in white embossing powder on the hot pink cs.  I added a few bling-y rhinestone as well.  The white die-cut is from Memory Box.

Fresh, Fun & Modern...perfect for a Birthday Card!

Time Can Fly!

Happy Friday to you all....its TGIFRIDAY....well its been that for us for the whole week since we are on vacation in the Keys LOL.  We are enjoying the time off that I can say for sure :)  We have been having a BLAST...and although its hot & humid here at least we are used to it coming from VA!  So far we've toured Truman's Little White House, the Butterfly Conservatory, the pool (lol), and yesterday we did the Dolphin Research Center which was awesome.  Alexa was able to talk to some of the trainers there about college studies and such which was good for her and of course the dolphins are super sweet too ;) Most of all we are enjoying the time off, being together and just hanging out and having fun.  Lots of laughs, memories and good time being had by the Dean family!  TODAY IS A FUN SCACD RELEASE...so check it out below!

love the aqua blue waters down here, gorgeous

the view of the Gulf & sunset from our master bedroom in the
townhouse we have at the resort...kids have own bed/bath so its nice!

***********

This cutie is from the NEW Oddly Sweet Curiosities set and his name is "Tick Tock"...cute eh? I love an aqua, black and white color combo and the papers from 7Gypsies "Industrial Gears" which fit in perfectly with this project.  All papers got a good distressing as well.  I added some die cuts in black with SCACD Die "Classic Timepiece" (one of my faves).  The sentiment "Time Flies" comes with this lil' guy too.  **the aqua paper is from PTI and it is usually just white polka-dots but I took a small dot stamp and added some black dots to the paper to customize it to my needs to match**

Tick Tock was colored with Copics:  W9,W5,W3,W1,W0 / BG75,BG72,Bg11,BG10 / R20.  Then I added Diamond Glaze to his talons, the clock face and the bells on his head for super shine!  I stamped around him with some Tim Holtz stamps lightly in pale gray and then inked around the image with BG00 & BG0000 copics.

That's all for me today...now I'm the last on the hop today so if you are starting with me, hop on over to the beginning of the BLOG HOP and get more hop details at the STORE BLOG HERE!

It's MY Party!!

Happy TGIFriday everyone!  Yay its the weekend...we have no real plans which is nice cuz next week will be tough.  Trying to prepare for our 2 week vacation and I have a ton of things to get done.  We also have 2 birthday parties for hubby's Grampa who will be 90 next week...one of the parties is at Nats park in DC for a baseball game so gotta love that :)  So other than yardwork I plan on doing NOT much of anything LOL.  We are going to the mall tonight to pick up some stuff and get a new carry-on as Alexa pretty much wore hers out over the years and the zipper totally ripped off one side.  So gotta replace that and hopefully I can snag a pizza dinner OUTSIDE the house LOL so I get a break...I love to cook but every cook needs a night off eh?

And let's talk about the weather...UGHHhhhhh!  We've had so much rain the past 2 weeks in Virginia that we have flooding and trees down everywhere, its no longer a helpful rain here.  We literally don't need rain for a month...my backyard is a soggy mess that I joke is trying to suck me down into the underworld...although I may mean it LOL.  And yesterday we got awful winds and rain again with a bad storm...we need a break.  Chicago area likes to send us some nasty storms...they need to cut that crap out;)  And those out west need the rain to beat the heat and put out the fires YET they get none.  Strange summer weather I tell ya, no fun!  If you've never experienced an East Coast summer storm...well you are lucky LOL...terrible winds, loud thunder claps, hail, lightening...its crazy.  And I grew up with it but I never underestimate the danger of them, they are still scary and can cause a lot of damage.  And the summer weather is supposed to be real bad this summer with all the hurricanes & tropical storms predicted...EYUCK!  So stay safe & cool wherever you may be!

*******************************

Floatin' Away
(I hope to be doin that in another week yay)

This cutie from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps is called "Margarita" and she's at SCACD...I call her "Summer Suzanne" ahhahahaha!  As soon as I saw her I knew I HAD to have her.  I hope to be doing a bit of floating and sipping some yummy Pina Coladas on my vacation real soon...I envision my bum in the sand reading A LOT ;) The new summer KK stamps are just too cute!!

The paper is new from Fancy Pants "Down By the Shore"(10% off)...I love the fun colors and more graphic patterns...a bit modern and fresh!  The flowers were layered on top leaves from the Memory Box "Cottage Leaf" die (20% off)...I always ink the edges of the leaves for shadowing.  The navy die cuts peeking out from the corners are by Memory Box "Prized Chrysanthemum Outline" die.  The sentiment is from a PTI set ALTHOUGH the stamp comes with its own sentiment, it just didn't fit where I needed it LOL.  Then some buttons tied off with twine finish it off.

She got colored with Copics....I colored the floatie-inner tube to match my stripes in my paper.  It is not actually stamped like that...just something fun to add.  Then I stickled her bathing suit and water for pretty sparkle.  Her eyes and glass got some Diamond Glaze for shine.

Hope you liked this cutie & see you back here next week!
I have new posts on my "Bitz of Me Blog" if you wanna check those out ;)

Monster-riffic!!

Hello everyone & a Happy Wednesday to you all!  I have been busy tearing through the house doing projects and more lined up for next week.  Today I have the vet coming to give dogs their shots & yearly check-ups....we are lucky to have a vet that has mobile service so they come to the house and the dogs aren't spooked or upset too much.  Then I have my new family furniture being delivered...finally after 3 mos of waiting...I'm so excited to get it.  Our family room furniture is over 10 years old...its held up really well but its time for it to be retired.  Still hunting for a new chair to replace the older one, but have yet to find one that fits "my idea" LOL.  I'm going to put the couch and an almost-like-new Lazy Boy chair on Craigs List and see if I can sell it and get rid of it.

Next on my list is to paint my mudroom/laundry...its the ONLY room in my house that has never been painted is SCREAMING for color and and some fun decorations and organization.  I'm doing some batten-board on the longest wall with old hooks to hang stuff on.  I'm excited to start on that next week...and yes Suzanne is doing it ALL by herself ;)   Then we will get Riley's new bedroom downstairs done and painted and all set up.  So lots to do!

And this weekend is da-da-da-dum.....PROM...so lots going on this weekend too...no downtime for this gal!

**************************************
Monster-riffic!

I made this card for my hubby....he's been so great lately with stuff and I just love him to bitz..he really is my best friend and I'm so happy I got to marry him.  We have a fun quirky, banter, joking and loving relationship...and the sentiment "Do You Believe in Love at First Sight? Or Should I Walk By Again?"...is SOOOOO something I would say LMBO!  Cracks me up!  So this is my love card for him and I snuck it in his briefcase yesterday to find at work...just a small way to say I Love Ya and was thinking of you!  And these monsters from SCACD "Oddly Sweet Curiosities" and this cutie is "Loves Me?"  It just makes you smile doesn't it?  :)

Check out the NEW Art Anthology Colorations Mists at SCACD and all the NEW yummy paper pads too (that b/w Authentique is MINE)...mmmmm!

I used some fun papers from Echo Park "Paradise Beach" and kept the colors fun and bright...perfect for anyone including a guy!  I like the circle theme...I pulled in circles with buttons, polka-dot paper, and Swirls CB embossing folder.  The large orange circles are a cut file from Silhouette Cameo "Background Lace-Circle" and I cut them apart to add a few around the image.  Diamond Glaze on the monster cutie for shine and some Stickles on the scales and background for a sparkle factor :)

So hope this one made you smile or chuckle...hubby liked it, so I'm happy!  Enjoy your day!

Red, White, Blue & Cute!

Hello Friends!  Hope your week has started off well so far!  I got my Invisalign braces today and I must say my mouth is SORE and my jaw is throbbing...makes me not wanna eat...guess that's a good thing huh? LOL!  I had braces in high school but when my kids were very small my dentist took out my permanent retainer I'd had in since the braces had gone away.  Well in 15+ years time my teeth have mostly moved back to where they once were...the top isn't so bad but the bottom...oy vey.  So 9 months of these babies...new ones every 2 weeks and best part is you can't really tell I have them in.  So I figure I carried 2 babies for 9 months right...I darn well can do this for 9 months LOL!  After I'm done I will wear a permanent retainer at night for the rest of my life....so I NEVER have to do this again ugh!

In other news its a busy week...when isn't it right LOL?  Alexa's birthday is on Thursday and we are headed up to Baltimore's Jimmy's Seafood Restaurant for the Raven's Draft Party...we get in early, meet the players and eat some yummy crabs.  Did I mention the part where I embarrass the CRUD out of Alexa while we are there...oh yeah baby.  Her fave player is Torrey Smith and he will be there...so I'm gonna ask him to sing Alexa "Happy Birthday"...shhhhhh don't tell hee hee!  I will be videotaping that :)  I still can't believe she will be 17....where does the time go huh?

**And starting on Friday the CMC Classroom kicks off its 3rd Birthday Bash festivities as well.  So all can join in on the fun....lots of fun challenges, games, a blog hop and awesome prizes!!  I will have more details on Friday for ya!

Red, White, Blue & Cute!!

Today I'm using another cute NEW Elisabeth Bell for SCACD from the "Fairydust Collection" and this one is called "Little Acorns, Big Dreams'.  Isn't she a lil-wittle-cutie?  My papers are a mix of PaperMania's blue pack and Bazzill Basics in red which is 15% off now (this Doodlebug Stars & Stripes paper would be a great alternative too).  I got new dies...I got new dies...lemme do the happy dance now ok hee hee AND I used them.  I used two of them anywho and both are Memory Box dies "Prized Chrysanthemum Outline" and "Lavish Branch"... I added some Stickles to the branch's flowers as well as inking them.  The sentiment die and sentiment are both from PTI.  Then I used some fab PTI ribbon to tie it all off.

I'm entering her into the following fab challenges:

She's colored with Copics:  B39, B34,B21 / R29,R24,R22,R20 & W5 / E11,E00 / E50,E25,E31.  Stickles on her wings and trim and leaves.  I paper pieced her apron with matching paper I used on the card and then shaded it a bit with W3.  Diamond Glaze on the bucket for shine.

That's it for me today...see ya on Wednesday!

Fairy Dust Magic!!

Happy TGFRIDAY....and phewwww what a long week...I am so glad to see it come to an end I must say.  Its been crazy busy for me and the world...sigh...the US is suffering right now that's for sure this week.  Thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected or hurt in Boston and in Texas...and let's not forget the horrible flooding & sinkholes that are occurring in the Chicago area too.  So sad and heartbreaking...so many lives changed forever...I pray for peace for them.  And then our area high school had a bomb threat yesterday...just not good...and if you follow me on FB you know why I'm just a tad outraged.  I won't go into it here but let's just say the school and school board are hearing from this gal today...and they ain't gonna like what I gotta say...and I say too darn bad!

So I'm looking forward to a hopefully "non-eventful" weekend of finishing the garden and getting some chores done.  We have mulch on order and have picked out 2 trees to be planted so lots to do still this spring.  And at some point I gotta get my bum to the mall to get some prezzies for my daughter's 17th birthday on Thursday....egads...I'm BEHIND!  And then my birthday is a week later...let's just say I will be 39 this year (for realzers)...and next year, and the next & the next ;)  Got it?  I already sent hubby my wish for my birthday...we shall see if he agrees LOL!  So I hope you all are blessed this weekend with peace and fun and laughter and rest!!

***NOTE:  My Little Darlings Guest Post is below this post today if you want to take a peek at my fun project there.  I will be re-posting it on Sunday as well!  Thanks!**

SCACD Release Today!

Today SCACD is introducing the Fairy Dust Collection!!! These are 6 sweet and sassy Fairys that just make you smile and brighten the day :D  Elisabeth Bell sprinkled just the right amount of cute, charm and gorgeous on to these special little fairys. These are stamps for right now but also classics to use years from now :D

So today is release day at SCACD and we are introducing these beautifully cute stamps by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD called "The Fairy Dust Collection".  They are soooo cute you will want all 6 trust me!  I'm using "Me & My Shadow" and isn't she sweet with her lil' snail friend?  So the DT is having a fun Blog Hop today to showcase them all...make sure to hop around to see them!  If you didn't come here from Sandie Dunne's blog then hop to the beginning at Kathi's blog here.  I'm the last stop on the hop today!!!

I used papers by Carta Bella "So Noted"...I kept the scheme to white and aquas for a soft look.  The background white cs was embossed with a fabulous folder by Couture Creations (these are bigger folders and them emboss deeply...love 'em)...I love the look of white cs embossed, so elegant.  The branch elements at each corner and then under the flowers are a new SCACD Die "Breezy Branches Statement Die"...I LOVE to cut my die cuts apart and use them in different ways, makes them more versatile!  The sentiment is from PTI, flowers a mix and pearls to finish it off.

I'm entering her into the following challenges:

Isn't she a doll?  She's colored with TouchTwin Markers and then I gave that mushroom cap a nice thick coat of Diamond Glaze along with the snail.  Why do I pick Judikins Diamond Glaze out of all the glazes out there?  Well to me its nice & thick and wherever I put it...IT STAYS...it doesn't leak around and is easy to control...love it!  Then I added some Stickles to her wings and the snail...they needed sparkle KWIM!! LOL!

**These can be bought at Quixotic Paperie for overseas customers as well! **

That's it for me today...I'm the last on the Hop...have a great weekend!

Rrrroarrrrr it's Friday!

Hello everyone & Happy TGIFriday!  Yay its the weekend again LOL..how can you not love the weekends right?  I have a friend coming for a private Copic class tomorrow, and I haven't seen her in AGES so it will be fun!  Then our friend Marti is going to come over for a bit to hang & chat.  James is taking Riley & a friend to DC for a Capitals hockey game that starts at noon tomorrow.  And Alexa has so many plans for tonight & tomorrow that I'm slightly confused as to what & where she will be doing LOL.  One of her BFFs is moving to Atlanta on Sunday so they are all trying to cram in as many activities before then as they can.  They've all been buddies since the 5th grade so its kinda hard on them all, especially since its right before their senior year...no fun!  And that's pretty much the gist of our plans for the weekend...nuttin' too exciting!

I also want to note that my friend Jami Bova is doing a MS Bike Ride (150 miles in 2 days, wow) with her husband to help raise money for the MS Society.  Most of you know this is a cause that affects me directly & is near and dear to my own heart...so I won't blab on about my own story.  BUT I would love if each one of you could CLICK HERE to visit Jami's blog and read her story and make a donation of ANY size to the MS Society, every dollar counts for something, someone's health, someone's mobility due to research that it will help fund.
**If you do you get entered to WIN A NEW KINDLE FIRE...whoot...I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Kindle Fire and highly recommend them to anyone I talk to LOL!

AND if you donate come back and leave a comment on any of my blog posts and let me know you pledged for Jami or her husband's bike ride and you will also be entered to win a $25 GC to Amazon.com so you can fill up that new Fire with games, movies & books ok :) Because I appreciate anyone's effort for this cause...no its not always life threatening but it is life limiting, very painful and nothing I would wish on anyone to deal with in their lifetime!! Thanks in advance!!

*******************************************

Rrrroarrrrr, its a Wild Birthday!

Let's get a little wild up in here today...it is Friday ya know ;)!!!  I have a son...no surprise there right LOL..but I rarely make guy cards.  I actually like making guy cards...its fun to pull out different elements and challenge myself to something that isn't all girly & frilly!  So this was a fun one for me to do!  I used a NEW SCACD from the Oddly Sweet Curiosities Set #4 "Me & My Lil' Buddy"...see his lil' buddy riding on his tail LOL!  Well if a T-Rex can be cute, then I think this guy is a cute....especially his fat belly heehee!  If you have any lil OR big guys in your life this set is awesome to have cuz' who doesn't love a dinosaur (lil' note of curiosity: I was OBSESSED with dinos when I was in elementary & middle school, loved, loved them...then I got to love them again when Riley was young too).

**NEW GOODIES AT SCACD:  New 6x6 paper padsArt Anthology Mists & Velvets, and awesome Make It Crafty laser-chipboard elements.

So I used papers by Heidi Swapp "Vintage Chic" (they are 8x8 papers)...I liked the mix of patterns, worked well for a masculine theme.  I distressed all my edges and inked them and just ripped a few corners.  The ticket underneath is a Tim Holtz ticket, wrapped the center panel with twine and added a few buttons for fun.  The sentiment is from Gina K Designs set...the SCACD dino comes with its own sentiment but I wanted a birthday sentiment so that's why I switched it up!

T-Rex got colored with Copics:  E47,E44,E43,E42,E40 / YR24,Y15,E50.  Then I added Diamond Glaze to his lil friend, his claws and teeth for shine.

That's all for me today...see you back here on Sunday!!

Smile Like Crazy!!

Happy Friday everyone!  Hope you have a fab weekend planned...wow I can't believe how fast the week went by!  We have a quiet weekend, its supposed to be icy today (ick) and the kids are hoping to be off school (mom not so much lol).  Tuesday is Riley's 15th birthday...did I say 15...oh boy my kids are growing fast and I feel like I'm always playing catch up.  He wants to go to a hockey game in DC next weekend with his friends to celebrate...I'm not too into hockey this year with the half season..and the Caps, well they aren't doing so hot LOL. But if that's what he wants to do, then that is what we shall do.  Next month we are taking Alexa on her college tour of her top 3 choices and then a few days in Hilton Head for Spring Break as a family...I'm pretty sure I'm NOT ready for that either.  The fact that next year she will be graduating and heading to college makes me feel ill to my stomach, gives me a migraine, feel faint...well you know all those BAD things a mom feels when she realizes her kids are almost grown ugh.  But I will work thru it, I have no choice right? LOL And its not like I'm the first parent to be going thru this...just gonna take some time on my part to come to terms.  We have kids to raise them to be the best they can be and then fly free...but darn it, its hard to let them fly FREE!

So anywho, we are headed to see the new Melissa McCarthy & Jason Bateman movie "Identity Theft" on Saturday...love her, and sooo looking forward to some laughs.  And that's pretty much my only plan other than finishing up some work...sounds AWESOME to me :)  Now if Spring would get a move on here, things would be almost perfect!

Smile Like You're Crazy

Today SCACD releases the sequel to the oh so popular Oddly Sweet Curiosities!!!
This is a fun and fresh stamp Collection from Susana Loves Stamps!!! We proudly introduce the Oddly Sweet Curiosities Sets 3 and 4 which house some of the cutest little Curiosities with matching sentiments. SCACD has continued with the appeal these little Curios have that are a combination of inspiration as well as happiness thru laughter as the best medicine!!! Each Curiosity comes with its own matching sentiment. So pick up one or the whole set so you can mix and match the sentiments. These are Fab and definitely year around fun!!!

And the SCACD DT is having a Blog Hop to Inspire You!!
I have two projects to share with you today!

So my first cutie pie Curiosity is called "Clueless" from Curiosities Set #3...isn't he cute!?!  And his little sentiment that comes with him says "I Smile Because I Have No Idea What Is Going On" bwahahahaha..I resemble that sentiment MOST days LOL!  I used fun bright colors and new papers from Simple Stories "Snap Life" and "Snap Color Vibe" (both 10% off)...Snap Life has great lil cards, borders and other paper accents in the pad, that is what is behind the main image.  I used a SBs emboss folder on the aqua cardstock, and CB swiss dots folder on yellow cs.  Just a fun layout and some buttons to finish it off.  He's great for any ole occasion :)

I'm entering this cutie into the following challenges:

He got colored with Copics YR18,YR15,YR12,YR00 / B06,B05,B02,B00 / YR23,Y15,Y11,Y00. Then I coated his horns, spikes, eyes, tooth & nails with Judikins Diamond Glaze (my personal fave glaze as it stays put where you put it, doesn't slide around) and Stickles on his wings.  He's just a bundle of fun!

For my 2nd card I used this fab gal from the Curiosities Set #4 called "Lovester"...she's great for mom's, friends, grandmas, aunts, sisters, etc :)  She comes with a sentiment that says "Young At Heart"...I used a different sentiment on my project though.  I paperpieced her apron and all papers are from the new BoBunny paper pad "Isabella" (10% off now)  I also used an SCACD die in a couple of fun ways...I LOVE to use my dies in many different ways...so I picked the corner die "Garden Corners" (2 diff dies come in a pack).  First I cut the heart element out of the day and added it over my sentiment with dimensionals.  The main doily die behind my image is from Marianne Designs, but I wanted it to be BIGGER LOL...so I took a corner die cut and added it to each side to make it more diamond shaped.  Also the cardstock I used for my diecuts is silver shimmer, so it has great weight and lots of pretty sparkle.

I'm entering this one into the following challenges:

The image was colored with Copics C7,C5,C3,C1 / RV13,RV11,RV00.  Her fun slippers have Sparkly Fluff on them (fuzzy AND sparkly-I used Cotton Candy Pink), Diamond Glaze on her bone-barrette and glasses, Stickles on her tail and apron trim.  The last pic is of the SCACD corner die "Garden Corners"...you can see the heart in the middle and that's what I cut out to put around the sentiment.  Just some fun & different ways to use your dies!
