No Snow, Like Snow Business!!

Happy Columbus Day to my US friends and Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends!! Hope most of you have the day off today---the kids are home from school but my hubby had to work :( I am trying hard to get better, but it's getting the best of me it seems--I might actually have to go to the dr (gasp...yes I said "might" for those that know me well)!! Hubby took the kids to a pumpkin patch yesterday w/o me :( --I just couldn't rally my body. Hopefully we will get to go again to the bigger one next weekend!

Anywho, onto my Snow projects for ya today! First up is my Hot Cocoa Gift Box that I designed--remember this tea project I did--this uses the same accordian design I created but just bigger. I promise to have both templates/dimensionals up for you sometime this week--I'm slow I know. (Please remember if you use this idea/template to give credit where credit is due, thanx) I wanted my gift bag to hold 3 large packages of gourmet hot cocoa(picture below) and I wanted to use my new PTI stamp set "Made of Snow". The dp is from My Minds Eye "Be Merry" and cs is SU.

I love this new PTI stamp set--it allows you to create your own snowmen many different ways, soooo fun! I stamped him & then cut out along with the trees and attached to the bag with dimensionals. The sentiment and snowflakes (from PTI's "Snowflake Serenade" set) are embossed in white. I added some punched snowflakes to the front too. The front flap of the box closes with a hidden Basic Grey magnet and I finished it off with a bow with ribbon from PTI. There's of course some stickles involved too, lol!

The second card uses another Precious Moments stamp that I was able to buy off of the internet--isn't she a cutie! The sentiment is from PTI's "Made of Snow" set too and the image is colored w/ Copics with some spica pens used for shimmer. I used my CB embossing folder on the bg cs and layered circles with the MME dp and SU cs. I added some more punched snowflakes and the white snowflakes are buttons that I cut the back hook off of. I really like how this layout turned out---might have to use it again sometime.

Phewww, that was alot of work so now I'm off to lay down again, lol! I hope you all have a wonderful day and have enjoyed my projects! A big thankyou to everyone who has sent me "get well" wishes, it means alot to me--so big hugz to you all!

Suzanne
