Flower Power!!

Hello and Happy Wednesday! Wow, its the middle of the week already---weekend is almost here, hee hee! Today its supposed to be 75 degrees & sunny so my windows will be wide open & the doggies will get a long walk--love this weather. Spring is certainly on its way here in Virginia--I saw blooming daffodils yesterday & it made me smile :o) My mom is coming up on Friday for the weekend, and we're heading into Washington, DC on Saturday to see "A Chorus Line" at the theatre! Can't wait to see it, I love, love the theatre and this was my birthday gift to my mom last month--so it should be alot of fun!

Today is Whatchadoin' Wednesday over at the Storage Units, Ink & More blog! I only have one more challenge for SUINK this month, since sadly this is my last month as a designer for them--my 6 month term is up. I've had a blast playing with these awesome stamps and will continue to keep up with all the new designers for sure!

Today's challenge was to use traditional spring & Easter colors on your card--easy peasy! I used the "You're Some Bunny Special" set (which I love) paired up with this spring-y dp from the DCWV stack "Sweet"! I colored with Copics and added some stickles to her lil' coat and hat. The fun flowers are from a pack of K&Co. embellies. Make sure and stop by the store blog to check out the rest of the DT's great projects today!

Second card today, is another sneak peek of some of the NEW Guardian Angels that will be released by Whiff of Joy on the 22nd! This Angel was created to be a First Communion, Confirmation or Baptismal angel by Elisabeth Bell, but of course you could use her for many occasions.

I think she's just lovely so I kept all my colors very soft & serene. The dp is from Basic Grey's "Porcelain" paired with SU cs. I created a dimensional frame for her with my Nestabilities so she seems to float. I added some Kaiser pearls, a corner punch, and the sentiment is from PTI's "Heartfelt Basics". And of course she had to get a nice coat of Angel Wingz Shimmerz--so pretty! Such a lovely angel--do you love her as much as me? Check out the rest of the WOJ DT projects this week for more lovely peeks (on my sidebar).

Off to enjoy the day--hope you are too!

Pink Kiwi Kisses!!

Happy Hump Day everyone! We're halfway thru the week and the snow outside is melting thankfully! I am sick with a very nasty sinus infection and I'm hoping the antibiotics cure it soon--yuck, messing with my energy level big-time! My daughter is sick with a stomach virus too--I am sooo tired of sickness! Everyone seems to be suffering from something---this is why we need spring to come SOON (then I'll have allergy issues but I can deal w/ that, hee hee)! So sending out big cyber {{HUGZ}} and Chicken Soup to everyone who is sick right now!! :o)

Today is Whatchadoin' Wednesday Challenge over at the Storage Units, Ink & More blog! Today's challenge was to make your cards/projects "spring-y"---yeah, that was a real arm-twister for me, lol! We all know that I'm prayin' for Spring already! **EDITED--Apparently I can't read and mixed up the WW challenge today--it was supposed to be "Bling It On" and I royally messed up! LOL**

I decided to use the new stamp set "You're Somebunny Special" for both of my projects. These also were made for yesterday's Color Challenge #208 on SCS (kiwi kiss, passion pink, chocolate chip)--not a huge fan of Kiwi Kiss (note, my pack of this cs was still unopened until yesterday, lol) but luckily my Basic Grey "Sultry" dp fit the color profile perfectly! I've had this idea for awhile to make some Easter Egg notecards with my Oval Nestabilities and yesterday I finally took the opportunity to make some!

I used my Oval Nestabilities to make the cards and shapes--easy, peasy! Isn't this bunny the cutest--I left him white so he really popped against the dark colors!

For my second card I colored up the Easter Basket from the "You're Somebunny Special" set, colored and cut out the eggs and glued them on to the backside. I also added some hot pink Flower Soft for the basket filler--love that stuff! Paper piercing around the oval finished it off! I love how they turned out, so perfect for Easter & how fun to give these out! Make sure and stop by the SUINK blog to see the rest of the DT's delightful Spring projects today!

My next project uses the same dp pack from Basic Grey and I also made this for the SCS Color Challenge (208)! This new angel set from H&M Stamps called "Angelic Moments" is just beautiful--they remind me of those Willow Angels of which I have a few. They're colored w/ Copics and I colored some soft pink clouds for them to stand on---lots of diamond stickles on their wings and clouds! This ribbon by American Crafts tied all the colors together perfectly!

Hope you enjoyed all my projects today! If your mojo is runnin' low or you need some inspiration, SCS has challenges everyday that are always fun!!

Sneak Peeks of Spring!!

Hello friends & Happy Wednesday! LOL--I'm sitting here writing and thinking to myself its only Tuesday, ha ha, then realized oh no, it is Wednesday! I swear my brain is fried this week for sure! Too many items on the to-do list and my mind is twirling and my body is tired!! My Cherry Coke is not doing its job---I'm going to have to write them and complain that they didn't put enough caffeine in my soda this month, LOL!! I need something if I'm gonna make it thru this week, not sure what yet---hee hee! Anyhow, I've got a couple of sneak peeks for you today from Storage Units, Ink & More!

Introducing "Your Some Bunny Special" which is...you guessed it...a fun, spring & Easter set full of lots of images to create fun scenes with on your projects! That's why I love these sets so much, there are so many stamps in each set that it gives you unlimitless possibilities---love 'em!! I used some more paper from my scrap pile (me being green & using what I have, lol)--this lovely paper is from Chatterbox and I love the colors & delicate floral on it.

I used three stamps from this set including the girl in her Easter best and the Easter basket which I cut out & popped w/ dimensionals! I drew my own grass with my Copics and added these fun Stampendous stickers from 7 Kids College Fund---they're shimmery, lots on a sheet & come in different colors! I paired the dp with cs and ribbons from Paper Trey Ink. Using the sentiment I created my own tag and tied it on with my scrappers floss.

This close-up shows the diamond glaze I used on her bows, shoes & Easter eggs and stickles on the ruffle of her dress & daisies in her hat! I really love how this turned out!

This is just a "mini" sneak peek of the other set being released on March 1st called "Let's Play"! I made a fun 4x4 card using DCWV "Grade School" pack dp--fun and colorful. I thought this would make a cute invitation for a child's playdate!! I added some more Diamond Glaze to the wagon and the sentiment to really make it pop!

Make sure and check out the other sneak peeks this week by the DT. Today my DT sistah's Leigh & Amber have some more sneak peeks for ya!! These sets will be available for purchase on March 1st!!

Alrighty, I'm off to find something to keep me energetic and sane this week---lol! Not sure what's available for all that, hee hee!

A La` Creme`!!

Bonjour friends!! Oui, I'm speaking some French for you today, hee hee! I took 4 years of French in high school & can read French fluently, but I don't speak it so well anymore sadly! I know you probably think I've lost my mind (oui, oui) but I had alot of French songs and sayings flying through my head when I was using my yummy new DCWV stack "La Creme"!! And I lovee black and cream together---very french & oh so elegant! So onto my projects for today all with this ooh la la French theme using H&M Stamps and for SUINK's challenge :o)!!

I wanted to make another set of 4x4 notecards because I've had soooo much fun making them last week! This time I made this set for someone special's birthday (can't say, shhhh secret) and made a matching box to put them all in. For this entire set I used H&M Stamp's "Coffee's Brewin'" stamp set, DCWV "La Creme" dp and PTI's vintage cream & black cardstock! And yes the gift recipient is a bigtime Coffee Lover, lol (unlike me, who prefers Cherry Coke) so this stamp set is perfect for you or those friends that are coffee addicts!

This box was made with my Cricut & the "Boxes, Bags & Tags" cartridge. I just gussied it up with some dp and this great sentiment and coffee cup image.

I tell ya, these 4x4 are almost too fun to make, hee hee! I stamped the couch image directly on the dp and the coffee/cup image was stamped onto the black cs using PTI's "vintage cream" palette ink (works beautifully on dark cs). The espresso machine has a nice thick coat of Diamond Glaze on it for shine & dimension!

I stamped out the coffee bag and then the beans again with the PTI palette ink. Both of the coffee cups have Diamond Glaze on top & they're popped with dimensionals! This entire set only took me 1 hour to complete and I had soooo much fun doing it! Hope the gift recipient loves it as much as I do!!

Today is also Whatchadoin' Wednesday Challenge #28 over at the Storage Units, Ink & More blog today! Today's challenge was to make a favor or treat for a wedding/shower or St. Patrick's Day. I used stamps from the "Goin' to the Chapel" set for my Wedding Favors. These could easily be used as favors at a wedding shower or at the wedding reception. I used my Nestabilities Labels 1 to create this fun favor box/bag and matching card! I stamped my images onto my cream cs with black ink and then accented the images with my gold Spica pens for sparkle.

This was made very simply by cutting out 2 labels 1 from my black cs and creating a small base inside of the two and attaching with Scor-tape. I didn't have any pretty wedding candies (LOL) but you get the idea of what you could put inside! I used my slot punch and threaded my cream ribbons and tied off---I added a small gold bow to the front too!

This up close view shows the shimmer from the gold Spica pen and that yummy dp from DCWV is flocked---beautiful!! I intentionally kept these projects fairly simple as far as assembly goes in case they would need to be mass produced. But when you use gorgeous products it looks like you've spent a ton of money$$ and time on them :o) Make sure and visit the SUINK blog to see the rest of the DT's lovely projects today!

Hope you liked my "la creme" projects today! I'll have a few Whiff of Joy projects for you tomorrow using more gorgeous images from the new Spring Collection kit.

Wedding Bells are Ringing!!

Happy Wednesday Stampers!! How's the week goin' for ya so far? I can't complain, I'm feeling better, the kids are better and we hardly got any snow---yay!!! Not to mention I'm getting lots of crafting done now that my mojo has returned to me, lol! Well hold on to your horsies cuz' I've got a LONG post for ya today---two sketch challenges!!

Today is Whatchadoin' Wednesday over at Storage Units, Ink & More---this is challenge #26 and it was a sketch challenge (head over to the store blog to see sketch). I rarely make long cards cuz' I find them quite challenging for some reason--definitely outside of my comfort zone, lol! I really loved how this turned out though & it actually wasn't too hard to put together, amazingingly!

The yummy brocade dp is by Basic Grey (Blush) & the fun polka-dots is by MME (Tres Jolie)--love the red tones. I wanted to make a Valentine-like wedding card with the new wedding set "Goin' to the Chapel". So many fun images in this set for weddings and anniversaries. I used the cute wedding cake for my card--I added some fun Diamond Glaze to the flowers, cake topper & cake stand.

To pop out the square from the front of the card I just used my square nestability on one layer. I also tried something new that I've been wanting to try (but scared, hee hee)--I melted the edges of my sheer ribbon so it curls using my heat gun, so fun & I love the way it looks!

This just shows a close up of the cake with Diamond glaze & the pearls I added around my circle. The far right shows how I decorated the inside of the card---I stamped the bride & groom sentiment & then added a box around it by tracing a smaller square nestability with my SU marker. In the bottom right corner I stamped the wedding ring image--so cute! Make sure and hop over to the SUINK blog to see the rest of the DT's gorgeous projects! If you'd like to join in, upload your projects to SCS using keyword "suinkwwc26"!

This is this month's Magnolia-licious DT sketch designed by the fabulous Cheryl Rowley! It was a fun sketch to work with! I used this cutie pie Tilda from this past fall called "Tilda with Sunflower" and she's in stock over at Magnolia-licious if you really love her :o)

While I was at CHA I got some wonderful samples of all the new My Minds Eye (my fave) collections--lucky me! This dp is from their new collection called "Bloom & Grow"--love the vibrant colors & patterns (but all of the new paper is yummy-scrummy I must say)! Of course I colored Tilda to match and used a fun sentiment from Verve Stamps "Feeling Groovy" set (which is on sale right now too).

Close up to show you the Flower Soft (in brown) that I used for the sunflower's center. I love this stuff and will have more samples to show you with all the new colors over the next week or so. My friend Marti has it coming in & you can pre-order from her store right here! I also added some Diamond Glaze to her shoes for shine! Make sure and visit the DT's blogs(Claudia, Cheryl & Suzy) to see their projects & you can email your project to Diana so she can put them in her gallery (ladydian@shaw.ca)

Make sure and check out the "Love Bundle" over on Magnolia-licious too! Diana has put together a wonderful grouping of 9 new Love stamps, ribbon & a surprise gift too for $89.45! A great value and all the stamps are versatile so they can be used for many occasions & projects!

Hope you enjoyed my projects today!

Happy Heart Day!

Happy Monday everyone! Ugh, I am STILL sickie-poo with the flu bug! I spent most of the weekend laying around being sick, hope it passes soon cuz' I've got lots to do & catch up on :o) Did you stay up late watching the Superbowl? Our friends had a party (I hosted last year) but I didn't get to go since I was sick, but hubby & kids went over for a bit. I was sooo rooting for the Cardinals (I love a great underdog)! Anywhoo....

Since its February already (how time flies) its Project of the Month time for Whiff of Joy. This month we were to make a Valentine's Day gift/package which is easy peasy with all these beautiful stamps. I decided to make a fun candy pouch using my heart Nestabilities and "Melinda Hugging Heart Angel". (If you live here in the US you can order this beautiful stamp right HERE). I simply cut out 2 large scallopped hearts and adhered together on the sides with my Scor-Tape (love this stuff, strong like red-line tape but so much easier to use, just tear & peel). This pouch will hold 1 Ghiradellia chocolate or another small treat of your liking.

The yummy-scrummy dp is from K&Co's "Smitten" and I also added a ribbon hanger to my pouch so it can be hung on a hook or doorknob if you choose. Super easy & quick to make--you could whip up bunches in no time! Make sure and visit the Whiff of Joy homepage to see the rest of the DT's beautiful Valentine Projects!

Don't forget that the two new sets from SUINK are NOW AVAILABLE right here! Also, if you haven't entered in our fun WebCandy head over to Susana's PCP site to enter for some great goodies including a $25 gift card to her store.

I will have my Web Candy up this week (I promise) so keep checkin' back!

Sea Birds!

Hello again & Happy Saturday friends!! My kids are STILL sick and I'm still not feeling so hot myself, so I'm keeping it short & sweet for ya today! I will have lots of new projects, my 100,000+ Blog Candy & more CHA pics for ya starting on Monday---so make sure & check back with me 'kay?

My card today uses a great stamp set from Storage Units, Ink & More called "Look What I Caught"---the images I used from this set are not the main images you would think to use from this set! But I wanted to show you the versatility that the SUINK sets have and how many options there are to create so many different scenes with one set!

I stamped half of the pier from the set (the boy sits on the other end) and then stamped on the pelican. I drew in my water with my Copic multi-liner pen (0.3) and stamped out fish, colored them & cut them out too along with the cattails. After cutting the circle out with my nesties I sponged the edges w/ blue ink for my sky and added stickles to the water for shimmer.

The fun dp is from Paper Trey Ink--I love me my polka-dots & they have lots of good paper with 'em! The ribbon & cs is PTI too. This card reminds me of my dad---he loves the water (like me) and loves to sail! So this will probably be put away for his Father's Day card---I'll actually be early with it this year, lol! A quick and easy card to put together and fun too!

BTW, before I leave ya---Susana's Custom Art & Card Design is having a great Web Candy giveaway over on her PCP group site. Up for grabs is a $25 gift card to her store and some yummy Rubber Romance stamps signed by Robyn Ireland(illustrator/owner) herself! Stop by and enter to win---you can find out all the details & enter right HERE!

Have a great weekend and see ya back here on Monday!

Sneak Peeks!

Happy, happy Wednesday! Hopefully I am flying home when you are reading this (although we're getting nasty, icy weather so I hope I'm not delayed). I had an AWESOME time in CA, an absolute BLAST & I really enjoyed every minute. I have never laughed so much, spazzed out with my awesome friends (Marti & Catherine) and just had an all around great time. I went to Disney last nite with Catherine & had so much fun---we ran around like we were 5 years old on a sugar high (if you can imagine that, hee hee)! I have so many pictures to share over the next few days with you of things I saw, did and crazy stuff to share! But I'm exhausted and worn out & getting sick so it will have to wait (sorry)!!

Alrighty, I am going to try and keep this short and sweet cuz' I'm so tired I can't see straight right now (giggle)! Today starts off the Sneak Peeks for the 2 New stamp sets from Storage Units, Ink & More & you will LOVE them! My sneak peek today uses the stamp set "Blarney Stone " which I totally adore cuz' I'm part Irish ya know & this set has all kinds of good St. Patricks Day images :o) This set has so many mix and match images & sentiments to use, I love it! I covered a small tin ($1 each at Michaels) with my matching dp and then one of the cute sentiments from this set. The gold accents are Bella Baubles (goldilocks)!

Isn't this Irish Dancer girl the cutest? All my dp, cs and ribbon is from Stampin Up (green wasabi) which is great for St. Patty's Day me thinks. The scrolls are from punches from Gina K if you're interested in them!

On her skirt I used a gold Spica pen and angel wingz Shimmerz--nice and sparkly. I stamped the sentiment out on cs and then cut it out, bent it a few times in soft folds and then attached it so it looks like she's holding a banner (too cute)! And of course I had to make her Irish hair red!!
Make sure and head over to my DT sistah's blogs today and thru Feb.1st to see sneak peeks of this set and another one called "Goin' To the Chapel"! Today Mary Jo & Janna are up with projects too so stop by & see!
hugz & will post tons more for ya on Thursday!

Winter White!!

Hi again! This is POST #2 for today, so make sure you scroll down to enter for my Whiff of Joy BLOG CANDY & to see all my Christmas pics on the last post, okay!!

Today is Whatchadoin' Wednesday over at Storage Units, Ink & More and the theme is "Winter White"--show us your creations using 90% white on them w/ one other color! I cheated a bit (cheater, cheater I hear you chant, LOL), but I had to use a lil' green for the trees and yellow on the windows ya know!

I think mostly white cards with a nice pop of color are so elegant. I used the house & trees from the "Deer Ol Santa" set for this card. I added some of my favorite DecoArt SnowWriter snow to the image and then coated it with a layer of diamond stickles. I cuttlebugged 2 layers of white cs with my swiss dots & snowflake folders and then used my MS snowflake punch to make the edge border (w/ some more stickles of course). I wrapped with this lovely sheer white ribbon and added some felt snowflakes from SU (added more stickles, hee hee)!!! A quick holiday card to make for those of you who are still working on your Xmas cards (like me, lol)! If you want to join us in this challenge just upload to SCS using the keyword "SUINKWWC17"--we'd love to see whatcha' make!

Ok, I'm off to finish some projects maybe. I have a lingering migraine today that is not going away so we'll see...

hugz,
Suzanne

Ski Girl & More Peeks!

Happy Hump (Wednesday) Day everyone! I tell ya the weather here has me in a funk--too dreary, too cold & way too windy. I need the sun people!!! But I'm going to lunch today with my lunch bunch so that will be some fun in the day for sure! Hope you're getting some sun wherever you are today! I've got a few more sneak peeks for ya today too...

My first card uses a new set from Storage Units, Ink and More called "Aspen"--there will be 7 new stamp sets released on Nov. 1st for you to purchase. Make sure and check out my fellow DT gals today for their sneak peeks as well (Chat & Carolina have peeks today). This particular set has a snowboarder and some lodge-like stamps as well--really fun to use together for scenes. I used some dp from MFT & I really liked the fun, bright wintry colors. I used my DecoArt SnowWriter for the snow and some stickles on the mountain for sparkle. The snowflakes are diecuts from The Stampin' Place (lovee them)! The sentiment is from a new set called "Winter Thoughts" that you will only be able to get with the purchase of 6 stamp sets. Each of the sentiments work with all of the new sets--fun!

My second card today uses another soon-to-be released set from Clear Dollar Stamps on Nov. 1st as well. This is actually 2 small stamp sets called "Marvin & Marcy Mouse" & "Cheese Wedge" that I've used together. The sentiment is from their "Casual Curlz Sentiments"--good for every occasion. I paired these cuties up with Basic Grey's "Offbeat" dp for some a mod-like layout. I love the colors together--fun but subtle too.

My last card uses another new set from Clear Dollar Stamps called "Deer Wishes" and this will be the Stamp of the Month over there too. Lots of fun images to mix and match in this set, but I only used the reindeer, bird, snowflakes & sentiment for this card. I lovee PTI's new Ocean Tides color palette so I used it for this card in the dp, ink, ribbon and cs. The image was colored with Copics and I added diamond stickles to the snowflakes & snow for lotsa sparkle! I think this is just the sweetest image. Don't forget to visit my CDS DT sistah's blogs this week for all of their fabulous sneak peeks too (list on my sidebar)!

I'm getting ready to hit 50,000 hits so it looks like I'll have blog candy up for ya next week--yippee! And it is the biggest most exciting blog candy I've ever offered up, so ya won't wanna miss it! Thanks to EVERYONE who visits me, enjoys what I make and leave me the sweetest comments--I love ya! Alright I got projects to work on and then I'm off to lunch for a bit. Catch up w/ ya tomorrow.

hugz,
Suzanne

Challenge Days!!

Hello everyone & welcome back to my Challenge Wednesday, lol! Seems that Wednesdays seem to be popular for challenges on some of my DT's! I'll try not to keep this post too long for you cuz' I've got lots to do. I have deadlines due at the end of the week and I'm only halfway finished---ahhhhh--gotta get it done! Can't share any of those with ya yet cuz' they're still top secret! My dimensions and pictures for the hot chocolate box will be up on my blog on Friday for those of you who have been oh-so patiently waiting for it :) And can ya believe Halloween is next week--my how time doth fly! I've got to get out my Halloween decorations outside--my creepy graveyard and lots of scary pumpkins, fun! I'll share some pics with you real soon!

So it's Whatchadoin' Wednesday over on the Storage Units, Ink and More blog site. This week the DT's challenge was to make "Treats for our Sweets"--you can join in on the challenge too. Just upload your cards to SCS with the keyword SUINKWWC11 so we can all see!

I decided to use my "First & Goal" stamp set to make some football snacks that you can just grab & go. I thought these could be used for many things including SuperBowl party snacks, football tailgating and treats for those of you who have kids on a football team for after the game. These are quick and easy to do which is good when you need to mass produce! The fun football field dp was picked up at Joann's and the clear cellophane bags I purchased at Michaels in the candy/cake aisle (a big bag of them for cheap). I measured the top of the bags to figure out how large to make my bag toppers then cut my white cs to size so I could stamp on it. I stamped multiple images on each topper and then colored them in with my Copics. After that it was just simple cutting and attaching to my dp & cs. I stapled the bags shut after filling w/ party mix and attached the toppers with my red-line tacky tape. Quick, easy & fun!

My second and final card is for the Spiral Whisper Challenge #6 today and its to make a spooky Halloween card. Please feel free to join in and upload it to the comment section (by Nov. 5th) on the Spiral Whisper blog for a chance to win a "Christmas Pudding Max" stamp. You've seen me use alot of the Janet Robert stamps from there but today I'm switchin' it up. This cute witch stamp is by Mandy Yaxley--creepy but cute me thinks! The image is colored w/ Copics and the yummy dp is from SU's Halloween line this fall. I added diamond glaze to her cauldron and green stickles to her brew and some to her hair! The cobwebs are from my MS punch and isn't that ribbon so fun--I picked it up at Michaels for $1! I also sponged some sagey green Colorbox chalk ink around the image so that it looks like a creepy looking glass! Hope you likee!

Alrighty, that's enough from me today. I'll be back tomorrow with some more eye candy for ya! Don't forget to visit my Whiff of Joy DT sistah Rach's blog this week for some yummy blog candy--she's giving a lucky someone a "Melinda Hugging Heart" stamp.

Thanksgiving Blessings-- Pizza Box!!

Hi All and Happy Sunday! We are off to the Pumpkin Patch today--hooray!! I'm still pretty sick but I'm suckin' it up like a good Mom does and hopefully will not pass out along the way, lol!! I'll share some pictures of our trip w/ ya tomorrow. The weather has been spectacular here this weekend, really just perfect w/ blue skies and 75 degrees, love it and I'm sooooooo dreading winter! But the kids have off of school on Monday for Columbus Day so no early morning for us tomorrow--yippee--makes me happy!!

I really wanted to try out the Try a New Technique challenge over on SCS this week--you have to make a pizza box which I've been dying to try out. I will tell you this is super easy and quick to make, I love it cuz' it was so easy to make. I paired it up with my new Storage Units, Ink and More stamps and Coredinations cs and made a Thanksgiving Blessing Box. I thought it would be a great idea to make this box and matching cards to record our blessings or what we're thankful for this year and any hopes or wishes for the new year. This way we can read them at our Thanksgiving dinner table and pull them out year after year to remember them by (especially since my kids are growing up soooo fast)!

The cards for the inside measure up to be 3.75x3.75 with the stamped image protruding slightly from the top. I made 10 of these cards and they fit nicely in the box--you could also include envelopes and make this a cute notecard gift set for someone. I stamped out some of the smaller images from the "Giving Thanks" and "Bountiful Harvest" stamp sets and colored them w/ Copics. The front of the box got the same treatment this time using the wheat and the sentiment I actually cut in half (great bonus about acrylic stamps) and bent it on my acrylic block so it would wrap around the wheat. The dp is from SU and I also used my Fiskars threading water border punch for the edges of the box and some dew drops in the corners to finish it up. So whatcha' think? I'm thinkin' I'll be making more of these real soon, lol!

Have a great Sunday!

Lotsa' Busy!!

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today is crazy busy and I have 3 projects to share with you today, so I'll keep my chit chat short. If there are any details about the projects that I don't cover and you'd like to know--just email me, okay! I don't want this post to be SUPER long for ya!

This first card uses another new Whiff of Joy stamp that was just released. This is "Melinda Christmas Angel" and I think she's just gorgeous! I really wanted her to be the main focus of this card so I kept the details elegant but not overwhelming. I embossed the snowflakes on her dress and on the bg cs with gold embossing powder (the stamped snowflakes are from PTI's Snowflake Serenade set). I used flower soft in ivory on the fur trim of her dress for more texture(love this stuff, fun to use). The gold cs is shimmery and its from PTI along with the ribbon. The sticker snowflakes are from SandyLion. I also used my Spica gold and clear marker on the image after coloring her with Copics. You likee? **NOTE: For those waiting for the tea accordian box template/directions, it will be up on my blog this Thursday--thanx for being patient!**

Don't forget to visit my DT sistah Camilla's blog everyday until Oct. 11th and enter for her fabulous blog candy--a stamp giveaway everyday, so get on over there!!!

Today is another Whachadoin' Wednesday Challenge over on Storage Units, Ink and More. This week we needed to make an invitation using the newly released stamps. I decided to make a Thanksgiving Dinner invite. This is just a simple flap invitation that would be easy for you to make a bunch of. The rust and gold cs is from Coredinations--really fun fall colors! I used the leaf stamps from "Bountiful Harvest " set and stamped them w/ my Versamark ink and than heat embossed with a festive fall colored embossing powder. I stamped out the cornucopia from the same set and colored with Copics and used my nestabilities for the circles. I added a few stickles for some extra shimmer too--can never have enough sparkle even on Thanksgiving, lol.

Inside I layered cs and inked around the edges of the cream cs with my brown ColorBox chalk ink to distress it a little. Now if this was a real invite, my invitation would be on the inside here, but my lovely printer decided to run out of black ink today so I couldn't print it out for ya. Normally I would print it directly on the cs and then cut and paste. I embellished the inside with the pumpkins and corn from the "Giving Thanks" set and the sentiment from the "Bountiful Harvest" set. The invite closes with Basic Grey magnets and I used some fall colored fibers to wrap around for some fun texture! Such a fun and festive Thanksgiving invitation for you to send out to your guests, and it won't take ya long at all!! Make sure and check out my DT sistah's blogs today (on sidebar) for their projects too.

My final project today is for the Spiral Whisper sketch challenge that you can see here. If you do the sketch with any of Spiral Whisper stamps and enter you could win one of their cute stamps! I used one of the new Christmas stamps by Janet Roberts called "Millie on Reindeer"--I tell ya I just adore these "Max & Millie" stamps! I based everything on this yummy dp from Heidi Grace (I need more, I lovee it) and kept all the papers and embellies monochromatic so that the image really stands out. I colored the image with my Copics and then layered it on Soft Sky cs. The sentiment is from PTI's "Merry & Bright" set. I added snowflakes with my MS snowflake punch and layered cs and white glitter dots on top. And of course I threw some stickles in there too!

Wheww.....that's all for today folks, lol! Remember tomorrow I will have the template/directions for my tea box if you're interested and some other "spooky" projects for ya!!

Fall Fun!!

Happy Sunday everyone! Did ya miss me? LOL! My mom went home today :( but we had a blast while she was here. And can I just say again how much fun I had at the NKOTB concert---I'm begging my hubby to take me again this time in Philadelphia!!!! I haven't had that much fun at a concert in ages---just awesome! I'm working on a bunch of projects today to share with you this week so stay tuned, okay! Sorry I missed out on World Cardmaking Day, but hey, that's everyday here at my house, lol!!!

My cards today use the new stamps from Storage Units, Ink and More. I really have had fun with these new sets because they're so easy to mix and match and to make your own scenes with. This first set is called "First and Goal" and I had to make my lil' football player a Washington Redskins fan in the burgundy and gold, lol (BTW they bettah beat the Eagles today)! I stamped and colored him with Copics and I drew in a field for him to stand on and sponged the sky. The helmet and football were cut out and popped up with dimensionals. I added some diamond glaze to the helmet for shine also. I wanted to make a big statement on the card by using a large football image. I didn't have a template so I hand drew it and cut in half---if you can see the texture on the football, I actually did that with plastic canvas. I didn't have the right CB embossing folder so I used the plastic canvas (with square holes) and ran it thru my cuttlebug like a folder and it worked, lol! I inked it up a bit to show off the texture. The gold background on the card was also embossed, this time with an actual CB folder and then I rubbed ink on top too.

The second card uses the "Giving Thanks" set. Aren't these lil' Indian kids the cutest with their lil' doggie, love 'em! Pretty straightforward card---I stamped out the images and everything was colored w/ my Copics and the dog was cut out and popped up for dimension. I added lots of shimmer with stickles too. The leaf bg paper was done using the leaf stamps from the "Bountiful Harvest" set that I just stamped randomly in 2 different color inks onto kraft cs. The other dp is from Cosmo Cricket's "Mr. Campy" line. I used ribbon from PTI and added a leaf button to the knot. Such a cute Thanksgiving card, me thinks--hope ya like 'em both!

Have a great Sunday & I'll see ya back here tomorrow!

Gobble, Gobble, Eat!!

I'm Baaaaaaaackkkkk! Today is a double post day for ya, so if you missed the first one scroll down and check out my Whiff of Joy project! My hair has been cut & colored and I'm ready for the New Kids, but are they ready for me.............ROFL!!! Ahem....moving on to my project--

Today Storage Units, Ink and More releases all their new stamps for this month. I used two of the sets to make my Whatchadoin' Wednesday Project. Our challenge was to use the new Thanksgiving sets to make a favor for your Thanksgiving table. Well, I couldn't stop at just one so I made a bunch. These two sets "Bountiful Harvest" and "Giving Thanks" are so much fun to use together!

For the first table favor I used a small tin from PTI and filled it with Candy Corn. I stamped and colored the turkey from the "Bountiful Harvest" set with my Copics and punched out and attached to another layer of Coredinations cs. Did you know that SUINK carries the Coredinations paper? If you haven't tried it you really should--it's textured, a great weight and you can sand it to bring out the core/inside color, fabulous. And it comes in over 200 colors--I lovee it! The shimmer on my lil' turkey is from gold stickles. I covered the tin with dp from My Minds Eye "Tres Jolie" and wrapped raffia around the tin and tied off. The turkey was attached with dimensionals to the top. Gobble, Gobble!

For the second table decoration/favor I wanted to make a decorative candle. I stamped out the wheat and gourds from the "Giving Thanks" set and the pumpkins from the "Bountiful Harvest set" and colored w/ Copics. The pumpkins and gourds were cut out and popped up w/ dimensionals too. I bent the sentiment on my acrylic block so that it would wrap nicely on top of the wheat. I used my Atyou Spica markers on the images for lots of shimmer. I made a belly band with my Coredinations cs that I ran thru my Cuttlebug with their new pumpkin embossing folder, then added ColorBox's chalk ink on top to bring out the image more.

And what is a Thanksgiving table without place cards for your guests. I used these cutie-patootie Pilgrims for mine and stamped my kids names out with my JustRite stamper set. I was going to make 2 more using the cute Indian boy & girl, but ran out of time :( I used the same color coredinations cs and added a few sparkles to the apples in her basket. These were super easy and super quick to make too!

So there ya go---hope you liked my Thanksgiving table projects! I'm off to finish chores now, my mom is coming tomorrow so I got lots to do!

Until tomorrow...
