Gypsy Rose!!
Happy Weekend everyone! Hope you are planning on having a great one! We don’t have any big plans other than Riley’s band concert at noon today---it’s a festival grading competition so crossing fingers all goes well LOL! I’m still recovering from being sick so my movements are fast nor are they good hahaha…so I won’t be doing too much other than getting some groceries and doing some crafting me thinks. I am NOT good at being sick, I just hate it and there is nothing worse than having to lay in bed feeling like crud. I did get some reading done and finished 2 books when I wasn’t dozing cuz’ I could barely hold my head up for 2 days. I read Kristin Hannah’s “Home Front” which is a must-read, it was soooo good, made me blubber which then made my head ache worse…but it was worth it. Hubby came in and saw me blubbering and thought I was crying from pain and asked if I needed to go to the ER LOL…ummm no me thinks not! She is the author of one of my all-time fave books “WInter Garden”. Then I read “Once Upon a Secret” by Mimi Alford…if you are a Kennedy family fanatic like me you will want to read this…very interesting. Makes you think about the naivete of a 19 year old girl and the hold a powerful man can have on someone…very good read. If you love to read then we’d love to have you join us at the BookEndz Group at the CMC Classroom. Its open to everyone & you only need to love to read to join us…we have a fun chat/cyber party at the end of each month to chat about the book, give some prizes away and announce the next month’s book selelction!
Not only am I a book fanatic (yes I read 2-3 books a week, yes I know you are thinking when do I do that…late at nite when I should be sleeping) but I’m a music fanatic too. Between Amazon & ITunes I seriously could go broke LOL! So I’m loving the new Lionel Richie collaborations with country artists (so far with Blake Shelton, Shania Twain, & Billy Currington)..they are awesome. And I’m going to see Jason Aldean & Luke Bryan (yeeeeehawwwww) on March 23rd…front row baby…so excited! But I will always remain Tim McGraw’s #1 fan….always…love him….and his newest songs are no exception. My fave of the batch is “Better Than I Used to Be”….omg….that song gives me chills…I love it! So thought I’d share it all with you…cuz hey he’s hot…he can sing…and did I say he was HOT???????!!!
PS—sidenote…for those that saw the news about the flight attendant that went beserk on the American Airlines plane this past week…yeah I WAS NOT ON THE FLIGHT…THANK GOD…I promise I didn’t do it…but she woulda freaked the HELL outta me LOL. Not sure what I’m tallking about….go see HERE!
NewsBitz:

Paper Crafting Journey Challenge (paper--anything goes)
Divas By Design (fave things...mine is copics, distress & gypsies lol)
I used these AWESOME new papers by MME Miss Caroline line “Dilly Dally (the whole darn line is a must have..yeah I have the whole darn line…want to join me…go HERE to buy)!! I distressed all the edges with my Zutter Distress machine (cuz I wuv it), tied a bow with my Bow Easy and added a button to finish it off. I KNOW, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT, NO PUNCHES OR DIE CUTS USED IN THE MAKING OF THIS CARD….UNBELIEVABLE I KNOW…LOL!! But it does have a ton of layers and is thick & heavy as heck
She got colored up with my Copics, yup she did! I used lots on her: BG04,BG01,BG0000 / Y15,Y11,Y000 / R29,R22,R20 / E11,E00 / C9,C5,C3,C1,C00 / E49,E25,E33,E31. And of course I added some stickles to sparkle this gal up (and yes she has stickles-sparkly eyeshadow on too). I just love her, she’s a fun one…sassy…I like it!!!

Poppy Power!!
Happy TGIFridayyyyy friends! I'm so happy for the weekend, not sure why as I still have lots of work to do, ha ha ha! But hubby will be home so it's all good. We're taking Riley and a friend out to dinner and to see the new "Gnomeo" movie (I cannot wait to see it, lol) for his birthday tomorrow. Then next weekend we'll all go skiing for his birthday trip---4 teenage boys oy vey! And then the Grammy's are on Sunday so we'll be watching those--Alexa is planning the night already, hee hee. And Monday is Valentine's Day---not a huge fan of that holiday sorry. Cupid visits the kids and brings them a small treat but I always think that Valentine's Day should be year round KWIM--not just one day a year. At least that's what I tell hubby, LOL--but I did mention that I want "Wicked" Broadway tix in DC for a present since he refuse to NOT celebrate it. I'm the downer on Vday I guess (wink)!! NO chocolate or flowers that will die---save the money, lol! But it sure is a fun holiday to make projects for dontcha' think? My fave color is red so what can I say :)
-7 Kids College Fund has lots of new goodies in stock that you will WANT! Melissa Frances paper pads, LaLa Land Stamps, Nellie Snellen Butterfly Punches, and Stampavie Stamps.
-I will be in San Diego on Feb 23rd teaching a copic class! Only a few spots left so hurry, lol, to www.cmcroad.com to register. Its a small class so it will be super fun--hope to see you!
-Don't forget I'm taking entries for the NEW CMC Challenge DT! Its a new DT, it will be laid-back and fun! And a chance to use those copics in fun ways. See HERE for details (you must join the site to see, that's how I keep the spammers out).
-Next week is Gina K Sneak Peek Release Week---get ready for cuteness and some beautiful stamp sets! Also on Sunday the NEW Gilli DT will have a fun Blog Hop for you as well--don't miss it!
I used some K&Co. papers "Floral Dreams" in a fun color combo--yes I know poppies don't come in these colorations (at least not that I have seen, lol) BUT that's why it's soooo much fun being the artist right?! I distressed all the edges with my fave Zutter Distress Tool and the back cs is embossed with a fave CB embossig folder. The sentiment is from a PTI set.
I printed out 2 of the "poppy" images so I could color a few of the poppy flowers and cut them out & pop them up for more dimension. I colored with Copics (but of course) using BV25,BV20,BV00 and B04,B01,B0000 then I put Flower Soft in the centers to bring out some dimension. The petals got some thin lines of Stickles for sparkle. The edegs of my image were softly inked with my FAVE Inkssentials Blending Foam Tool (I love, love & use it everyday)!
Hope you have enjoyed this and hope you have a fabulous weekend! I'll have a new Red-a-licious project up for you tomorrow so stop on by!

Snuggle Up!!
Happy, Happy Wednesday to you all! I am STRESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSED!!!! LOL---yikes, so much still to get done today before I head to CHA tomorrow. And now they are calling for snow today---omg are the weather gods trying to KILL me! I am so sick and tired of cruddy weather and if my flight is delayed I am going to LAY AN EGG I tell ya, LOL---I have got to be in LA by Friday morning to teach my class. ACKKKKKKKKKKKK! This is the only thing about CHA being in January--you never know what the weather is going to be like here, terribly stressful that's for sure. So please pray with me that we end up with mostly rain and NO snow 'kay? I seriously am going to need to be drugged on this flight--poor Marti--AND we have a layover in Denver of all places. Are you kidding me?
If I make it to LA in one cohesive piece I'm going to kiss the ground I swear---Marti will take a pic of me doing it, LOL! I will be posting sporadically while I'm gone so please make sure to check in for new projects, new challenges and NEWSIES from CHA :)
Today I have a vintage, shabby-chic project to share with you all! I am a guest designer for In Style Stamps for 3 months so I am sharing my project with you today for the month of January. This fun lil' digi image is called "Small Cup" and I was imagining it filled to the brim with some yummy raspberry hot cocoa---mmmmmmm good! Perfect for this freezing weather we're having right now! Perfect card for a friend to let her know you are thinking of her! I also did this card for this week's SCS Color Challenge CC305 which was to use a light, medium & dark pink and one neutral color--I have more neutral than pinks but I did use all the colors, LOL!
I really enjoy using digi stamps because they are so convenient, easy to resize and easy to store. In Style Stamps has lots of great digis for you to use too--see them all HERE! I created a digi stamp faq sheet HERE awhile ago if you are new to digi images.
My papers are from K&Company--I love the vintage feel they give to my project. I distressed a lot of the edges with my Zutter Distress It Tool and then inked the edges. The center panel was made by using my MS border punch on both sides of my cream cs, then ran it thru a Cuttlebug folder (swiss dots) and inked the edges. A bow, some Prima flowers and small tag finish this card off.
Here is the "Small Cup" up close---I colored it with Copics and then added Stickles to the steam & cute heart on the front. I used my oval SB's nesties to cut the image and matting out & inked all the edges with my Inkssentials Blending Tool. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm...mmmm..............good!
Have a wonderful day---and hopefully when you hear from me next I will be in LA safe & sound for a few days!

Little Fairy Who Lived in a Shoe!!
Hello everybody and a Happy November 1st to you all! Did you all have a wonderful spooktacular Halloween for those that celebrate? We had some friends over our house for a nice, relaxed lasagna dinner and then sat outside by the fireplace while the "dads" took the kids around our neighborhood. And yes our front yard was decorated as a Haunted House and graveyard complete with fog machine and spooky music, lol! Usually I have candy leftover but not this year--there were 100's of kids out, yikes! Alexa went over a friend's house for a party and sleepover and Riley had is "crew" of 7 friends over after trick-or-treating for pizza and snacks. The kids have off of school today and tomorrow so it worked out great, lol! I'm trying to get bunches done over the next few days as I'm off to NC on Thursday for the CMC on the Road Copic Classes! Then I'm home for a few days and off again to Buffalo and Canada for the last of my Copic classes for this year before the holidays. I'll be taking off from the week before Thanksgiving until New Year's from classes, traveling and releases. I'll still be blogging with projects during that time so don't worry, hee hee! I just like to spend the holidays with my family and really enjoying the season KWIM--its a super special time of the year to me!!
-Make sure and visit the SCACD Store HERE to see the NEW Stamp Artist Carmen Medlin's stamps for SCACD! They are whimsical and beautiful!
-My good friend Anary Baumgarth is the creator the super-cute Gilli stamps--see HERE! She's having a super, duper DT CALL right now and you can find out all the DT details HERE! Go ahead and try out!!
My image is called "the Boot House" and I just adore this image, so much fun! I decided that if a fairy did indeed take a shoe and make it a home she would want it to be pretty right? LOL! Not just a brown shoe, it would be blinged-out and FABULOUS! So I added pinks and plums to the image to match the paper by Basic Grey "Eva"--I love this paper pad that it's almost gone sadly so I NEED MORE, lol! The fun little sentiment is from the PTI set "Boards and Beams"-I thought it was appropriate for this image! The scrolly leaves are from a Marianne Designs die set that I lovee, then I shaded them with ink and added stickles for sparkle!
The image was colored with copics and I used most of the browns in the Earth tones family, lol! The main boot colors were E59,E57,E55,E37,E35,E34,E31,E40--the plums were V99,V95,V93,V000 and the pinks were R85,R83,R81,RV10! The I added some bling for our fairy house---stickles on the gutters, ax, flowers and windows and diamond glaze on the rocks and awnings.

Naughty or Nice??
Hi everyone & Happy Thursday! Sorry for my absence--this is a CRAZY week for me! Along with almost cutting my finger off (lol) I have been catching up on things that I had let go the past few months. Chief among them was to clean out my hubby's study and my craftroom. It took me over 6 hours to clean my craftroom, lol--see the before and after pictures below. YES I am brave enough to show you the before pics, lol--but its SCARY so beware!! It was 2-3 months of not cleaning or organizing and putting away stuff due to work demands and it was driving me NUTZ!! But I organized everything down to my unmounted rubber stamps by company, all my spellbinders, cuttlebug folders and papers! Phew---I feel so much better and I got rid of 19 boxes and 2 big bags of trash, lol! Now it is a joy to go and craft again--before it made me feel almost manic because I can't stand clutter of any kind! But its done now and I feel good, but I still need to reorganize all my Magnolia stamps, maybe I'll save that for the holidays since it's a BIG job!! Now next week I'm going to do my walk-in closet (its such a disaster I'm embarrassed, lol) and our hall closets.
This is also Homecoming Week for Alexa so she's had umpteen million events going on! Last night was the Powderpuff Football game (girls against women faculty) and tomorrow is the Varsity football game and then the group of them is going to IHOP afterwards (poor IHOP, lol). In between she has to get her nails done and then on Saturday she gets her hair done and pictures and then onto dinner with her friends before the Homecoming Dance. And then lucky me volunteered to have all 20 or so of them over after the dance for some food, smores and fun on the patio and then the girls are sleeping over--ACK!! Also my mom will be here and I'm teaching a Copic class to a few ladies here in my home today, LOL! Do you think I could add more in this week? And we're going to try and get to the pumpkin patch on Sunday if the weather cooperates--one of my fave fall activities :) So it's been crazy, will be crazy and then it will be Monday again, lmbo!
Craft Room Pics (before & after, lol)--if you want to the rest of my craftroom pics you can click on the "All About Me" page at top of blog under banner to see those! (if you get my blog by email you can access the pics at the website)
-Winner of the "Winter Bunny Hugz" Blog Candy is Alanna of Alanna's Spot in the World!! Congrats and thanks to everyone for entering--I loved reading about your favorite winter activities. WELL you know I HATE the cold, so my fave is setting up my 10 Christmas trees and decorating the house for the holidays, drinking hot cocoa and spending time INSIDE reading my KINDLE and crafting, hee hee!
-Blog Candy for "Peppermint Kisses" is ongoing thru Friday--enter it HERE!
-7 Kids College Fund has the NEW Whiff of Joy stamps up for pre-order HERE! They are really cute and that baby seal must COME HOME to me, lol!
I had lots of fun making this--it really was a joy to do! I also got to use all my new holiday goodies, lol! The papers are new from Kaisercraft "Be Merry" paper pad and those fab holly accents were made with the NEW Martha Stewart holiday jumbo punches! I love them and I accented the holly by inking the edges and adding red Dew Drops for the berries. That sentiment is from a VERY NAUGHTY set from MFT (My Favorite Things) stamps called "Twisted Sentiments" **don't click if you cannot handle it, lol** I got it a long time ago but never used it, lol! But the "Naughty" was perfect for this card and I added a question mark with my green Copic Spica pen! The bow was made with a Bow Easy and accented with a dew drop. The image was cut out with the SB's Nestie Die "Labels 11"--I like this shape, it's a nice alternative to ovals.
My image was colored with Copics and then I added some of my fave products to the image to make it extra special! On all her fur trims I used Doodlebug White Flock (on sale right now 20% off) and for her pom-poms I used real small white pom-poms from the craft store--makes it FUN! The gold accents have stickles on them and I used some diamond glaze on her eyes to make them shiny. I also traced her fishnet stockings with my black Spica pen to make them glittery :)
Have a great day!!

Cupcake Mania!!
-I will be announcing the 3 winners of the Copic Card Challenge tomorrow here on my blog and on the Color Me Creative Classroom site, so stay tuned for that!
-Have you seen the NEW Cuttlebug Embossing folders and Quilling die/folders--they are fabulous! The Quilling folders cut and emboss your paper so they're ready for quilling--I got to try them at Winter CHA and they are really fun to create lots of flowers & easy too! You can see them all HERE!
-I've got two cupcake projects for you today--so make sure to scroll all the way down!
Today is the first of the month so that means it's Copic Creations Challenge time!! This time we were challenged to color different animals and our sponsor is Hambo Stamps--they generously gave the DT each a digi stamp to use as well! You can see their digi images HERE and the rest of the stamps HERE! I got to use this fun "Mouse Chef" (which I see as Chef Mickey Mouse, LOL)!
I decided to use a black, red & white color scheme for my card--the papers are by PTI (black & white) and the other paper is by Disney (see the small red Mickey ears in the background?)! I colored my "Mouse Chef" with Copics---his fur is W7 thru W1, his chef jacket is C9-C2, chef hat is C2,C00 and the cupcake liner is R27,R22,R20. I gave the frosting on the cupcake a nice thick coat of stardust stickles for sparkle and then wrapped the side of the card in PTI ribbon and bow! Isn't he just a cutie--this image would be perfect for birthdays, celebrations or a cute barbeque/dinner invitation don't ya think!
Now head over to the Copic Creations Challenge Blog to see the rest of the DT's creations and how you can join in the fun as well! (don't forget to scroll down to see my other cupcake creation)
My next card features another fantastic cupcake digi stamp, but this time it's from "I Brake For Digis"! This image is called "Cherry Cupcake" and it's so cute! The reason I love digi stamps is because you could take this darling image and print out one size for invitations/cards, a smaller size for favors and a larger size for a poster/banner---this way you can make a coordinating set of items very easily with only 1 image!
(If you order any digi stamps from I Brake For Digis, make sure to use the coupon code "SAVE10SUZANNE" to save 10% off your entire order)!! The small starred paper is by PTI and then I embossed the background pink and white cs with a "happy birthday" CB embossing folder. The border trim was done with an EK Success punch.
I used copics to color my image (all in the R family) and then topped the frosting with a coating of Viva Decor Glitter Liner (in holo.) which is super, super sparkly--I love it! A pink, delish cupcake card for someone special!
See ya back here tomorrow!

Tiny Dancer!!
Hi all & welcome to the middle of the week! Does anyone have any special Memorial Day plans this weekend? We're thinking about heading to Baltimore on Sunday and spending the night there--we want to go to the Zoo & Aquarium and the Inner Harbor. We used to go to Baltimore a lot when we lived in MD but we don't go as much now. If you've never been to Baltimore--you're missing out--it's a real treat and the Aquarium and Zoo are outstanding--and shopping and walking along the waterfront is our fave activity! My hubby went to college up there and we had one of our first dates at an Orioles Baseball game--I just love it! But my main agenda is to get some good steamed Maryland Blue Crabs--my most favorite food in the whole world!! Remember, I grew up in Southern Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay so we were always eating fresh seafood and I do love my blue crabs--nothing better than dipping warm crab meat into vinegar and Old Bay seasoning--YUM! I can almost taste it now, LOL!
-My friend & good pal Marti Wills of Pez-a-Doodle Design is teaching Cricut Classes over at my online classroom Color Me Creative (and she's really good with that machine, amazing what she can do). She'll have a few more classes coming soon that go from beginners thru advanced and project oriented too, but right now we have a Basics/Beginner Cricut Class up and ready. You can get all the details on it HERE. (I know I need LOTS of help using my Cricut so I'll be taking them too, LOL)
-7 Kids College Fund has some fab new products in store including NEW CC Designs stamps and NEW Whiff of Joy stamps! Also sign up to be a FAN of the 7 Kids Facebook Page as well--see details HERE!!
-Don't forget to stop by the SCACD store blog to sign up for all that YUMMY, Victoria Case Blog Candy--enter HERE!
This gal is of course colored with Copics (R12,R11,R00,R0000) and then I've colored her reflection softly with the copics as well--when I do reflections I like to keep the colors muted so it doesn't take away from the main image. The papers are all by PTI (see here) and I love the creams and soft pinks together--so delicate and feminine. I addded some Prima roses (cameo & mini) along with cream swirls made with this die here. A few pearls (in blush) and a bow made with my Bow Easy finishes this card off.
I colored the whole image with Copics and I colored the floor to look like a wood floor as well. The mirror got diagonal stripes with C2,C1,C00,BG10 and then a thick coat of diamond glaze to make that mirror really glassy looking! I also added some stardust Stickles to her toe shoe straps and bodice of her dress for some bling! I think she's just a beauty and I really love this image and you can't beat digi stamps-not too pricey, instant gratification and ease of storage :o) so make sure and check them out!
Okay--I'll see you tomorrow!

Twinkle Lil' Star!!
Happy Thursday to you all! I'm busy today again---hey, what's new lately right! But I've got to run errands, pick up kids from school activities, work on projects and videos for the new magazine and more. Does that tire YOU out? LOL--it definitely tires me out, so I try to move through the day concentrating on one chore at a time or else I start feeling overwhelmed. Thank you so much to each and everyone of you that have signed up for a Copic Online Class and/or the new mini-mag---it means so much to me. And you've all left me the nicest comments and emailed me urging me on and supporting me and that really means A LOT to me--I can only hope to live up to each and everyone of your expectations!
On Monday, March 15th the main "Color Me Creative Classroom" site goes LIVE and this site will be open to everyone!! All info on the classes, resources and event news will be on this site along with the chat forums where you can talk with me! So to welcome in our GRAND OPENING that day I will be at the site LIVE from 3 pm EST until 7 pm EST so stop by and say hi or ask me anything you might want to know! And I will also be giving away prizes during that time so you don't want to miss it.
If you've registered for an Online Copic class you will recieve an invite (or invites if you've registered for more than one class) on the 15th sometime that day. Please don't email me about not receiving your invitation unless it's the 16th and you still haven't received it--I will try to get them out as fast as I can but I will be doing it all myself manually :o) This invitation is the key to the classroom so make sure and check your email for it!
And I'm so proud I taught myself how to make a Blinkie Banner, hee hee--yes I did it at 4 am in the morning but I'm still proud!! So if you want to add it to your blogs you are more than welcome to do that--when you click on the actual blinkie it will go to the main website but will not be active until the 15th!!
(I'm fixing the blinkie code---sorry)
-Today is the last day to enter for the Yummy Victoria Case for SCACD release Blog Candy HERE! Susana's DT will have a special blog hop tomorrow showcasing all the new spring cutie stamps for ya!
