Dealin' & Movin' On!!

Happy Friday everyone!! I'm so ready for the weekend I tell ya especially after the day I had yesterday--sigh!! I won't lie to ya, yesterday was quite a struggle for me---sometimes you don't feel like you do enough, can be enough, get enough done or be good enough ya know? I start everyday trying to do my best and get as much done as I can, but we're all human correct. Most days I keep my head down, get my work done, help as many people as I can and stay away from drama & conflict. But gosh darn it, it finds me anyhow! If you know me well, you know I stay out of other's business and don't gossip, hate drama & am not mean spirited in any way. I always try & lead by example and use the same old adage that's been around since the ages "treat others as you want them to treat you" but some people don't follow that, which is so frustrating. I just don't understand why people have to be mean--I never, ever try to hurt anyone's feelings or be disrepectful, it would hurt ME to do something like that! I guess I'll just continue I guess to be surprised by people who are like this, but I'll get over it for sure! But I love my family, I love my crafting and I love my friends and it's as simple as that for me! So sticks & stones & all that---will just bounce the hell(o) off of me! (sorry for the language)

So, just had to vent for a moment, but as is my nature as a glass always half full & eternal optimist---I'm MOVIN' ON!! Dealt with it, analyzed it & have dismissed it. No time for it at all! So, let's move on to my projects for the day and BE HAPPY!! :o)

Try It Out Tuesday Challenge #38

So this card was done for our Try It Out Tuesday Challenge #38 for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design, but obviously it's Friday now, hee hee. We had to switch it up since the new release stamps came out on Tuesday (see them here)! I challenged the DT to make a fall card since it's that time of the year! For my card I chose to use a new Lockhart Stamp Co. image called "Harvest Window"--I just love the window images that Karen has drawn (see them HERE)! I based my colors on this fabulous dp by My Mind's Eye "Oh La La For Him"--I love the color combo, very fresh! The cs and ribbon are from PTI and those fun pearls including the pearl center on the bow are NEW from Prima (see a grand selection here---I bought a ton of them) and they are gorgeous in real life!

My image was colored with Copics and then I double stamped the window swag and pumpkins so I could pop them up for dimension! I used diamond glaze on the window part, yellow and orange stickles on the leaves, pumpkins, & corn along w/ my yellow Spica pen for lots of pretty sparkle! Perfect for the fall holidays! Now hop on over to the store blog to see the rest of the DT's fabulous fall creations!!

My second card today uses another fabulous NEW image from Pink Cat Studio's Digi store! This pretty lil' gal is "IB Betty-Butterfly" and I think she's just a cutie-pop! I paired her up with some of my favorite Basic Grey papers (Urban Prairie) and added some fun Prima flowers. The centers of the flowers are Doodlebug glitter brads--I just love those things & use them constantly (think I need a re-stock, hee hee). And her lil' wings have some diamond stickles on them too (the sentiment is from the Pink Cat Stamp set "Enchanted Lily"). If you haven't had a chance to check out these digi's yet or are worried about trying the digis--Melissa has a fabulous info section at the store that leads you thru it step by step here! (I print on an Epson R300 inkjet printer & my Gina K Luxury cs in 120 lb weight & colored w/ copics)

So hope you will all stop by tomorrow if you get a minute--I'll have some Christmas projects up and a new Mo's Digital Pencil project as well!

hugz to you all & thank you for listening to me ramble today,
Suzanne

I try not to let them get me down, but what do you do? I always think why are they so rude, I don't every do that to them? Oh well, you are right just schrug it off they don't deserve that much time in your mind. You are tooo sweet for that. Have an awesome day and enjoy your weekend. Smiles coming your way, Lisa G

  8. Suzanne: Love your cards and so happy they are making their home with me. Even tho I have not met you in person, you are one of the sweetiest "on-line" friends that I have ever met. I always love your upbeat descriptions of your day and what you are sharing in your artwork with us. I hate drama also, and it is so sad to say that some people only know how to be negative and miss out on all the joys of just plain ole living and enjoying all that God has given to us. It is their loss and I feel sorry for them. You just keep being your "sweet self" and pray that God will somehow change their hearts. Don't let them get you down, life is too short and I believe happiness, laughter, positive thinking, etc. just keeps us healthier and prayerfully a longer life. God bless sweetie, Many hugs coming your way to ward off the negative comments made by others. You are a true blessing to all of us. Hugs, and more hugs, Pat J.

Renew her mind that she can be all that You've created her to be. 34. Suzanne, both cards are beautiful! You are so talented, and I hope that your ability to vent your feelings lifts the stress off your shoulders and has you soaring up to the high road that you choose to take........I have to remind myself to feel somewhat sorry for mean spirited people.......they have to be terribly unhappy themselves to desire to make others' so miserable!

    Hugs,
