Autumn Greetings!

Happy Monday Morning everyone! I don't know about any of you, but I feel like summer just flew by! Oh where does the time go? Fall clothes and school supplies are out in the stores even though the weather is still in the high 80's. I really do like fall, I love the crisp cool air and Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Summer is my most favorite though as I'm not a lover of winter and unfortunately with fall comes the winter. And as much as I love my kiddos I'm very ready for them to go back to school, so I can have the days to myself again to get more things done. No more bickering or "I'm bored" comments--at least until they come home, lol!

Since I've been busy getting school supplies and clothes for my kids this weekend, I thought I'd break out my fall papers and colors. I love this new Tilda image with her bottle of wine and basket--very autumnal looking or as my stampin friend Susan said, she looks a little Tuscan. And of course, Italy is the place I want most to visit in the whole world so how perfect :) She's colored with Copics and I paper pieced her skirt to match the dp from Me&MyBig Ideas. I cut her out and popped her up with dimensionals onto the cream cs. The card bg and base is SU cs that I stamped with Verve Stamps "filigree fantasy" in versamark for some extra contrast. The sentiment is from SU's "Lovely Labels" set. Pretty basic layout, just lotsa layers.

************************************************************************
Ok, onto the big news!! I'm over 10,000 blog hits so that means BLOG CANDY!!!! To enter you only have to answer this question:
"What stamping/craft technique would you most love to learn about?"

Not a trick question--just curious--ya know how I like to ask my questions and read everyone's answers and maybe learn something new. So just leave a comment on this post by Thursday 8/21 by 11:00 pm (EST) with your answer!

Wanna know what you can win? Here's the list (picture above):
-a Brand Spankin' New, Whiff of Joy stamp called "Charlie and dog (I stamped it out on cs with my own stamp so you could see it in its full glory) very generously donated by Katharina Frei
-Me&MyBig Ideas paper pad (Cornucopia which I used on the card above, of course this paper pad is brand new, I used my own--don't worry)
-1 spool of Halloween ribbon and 1 pack of small fall ribbons by KI Memories
-1 pack of fall Primas
-1 Halloween(cobweb & spider) acrylic stamp
-1 Memento inkpad in Tuxedo Black
-15 stamped images (your choice of a combo of Magnolia, Whiff of Joy or Sugar Nellie images)

Sound Good--then enter!!! Thanks to all you wonderful blogging/stamping friends out there for always being super supportive, kind and wonderful to me--I appreciate and love you all!!!!
Suzanne

  112. Congrats on 10,000 hits! That is awesome. Here is too 10,000 more hits! :) I am pretty new to stamping and card making actually so I there is a lot I need and want to learn. The two things that come to mind right away is probably 1.) how to emboss images and the steps to doing that and 2.) how to color images so they look nice.

  113. Suzanne:I love your blog!  I am part of the Magnolia group also.  The stamping technique that I need to learn more about is coloring with my Copic markers.  I think the problem is that I need to acquire more of them in families of color, and then blending would be easier.  I usually do pretty good with blending when I watercolor.Your blog candy looks fabulous.  Thanks for the chance to win!Deb H.

technique? well, I guess that would be making different types of cards - not your regular rectangular card or if so, one that opens different or has something special about it.
