Love Stuff!!

Happy Monday everyone! Here's to another super busy week, lol! Hope you had an awesome weekend! I got a bunch of stuff done & got to do some relaxin' so I'm happy. I had to work on a project that is being published yesterday and it was sooo stressful that I thought I was going to have an anxiety attack---so much pressure! Anywho, my brain is still recovering so onto my projects & news for today!

I made this Magnolia card a bit ago and I believe the layout was a SCS sketch challenge (?). This is "Tilda with Gingerbread" and I believe I got her from the Swedish site or was a gift from a friend (can you tell I'm having brain-freeze,lol). Anywho, she's from this past Christmas Collection and I think she's perfect for Valentine's Day or anyday that calls for love! Easy peasy card to put together---the dp is Basic Grey's "Blush", the buttons are from Michaels and I used "mint" Shimmerz on the background & her dress. The flower is by Bazzill and these are supercool---they come in white & other fun colors and you can ink them, paint them or stamp on top of them. I inked mine with Memento ink and then painted them with Shimmerz in the mint & pink poinsettia. Finished it off with another heart button tied with my favorite Scrappers Floss! The cute sentiment is from SUINK's "Will You be My Valentine" set!

NOTE: Magnolia-licious has the new Valentine Collection coming in and there are also a few Christmas Magnolia's with hearts that would work wonderfully for Valentines Day too!

WARNING---YOU NEED YOUR SUNGLASSES TO VIEW--LOL!! How's that for a bright birthday card? With all the gray & dreary weather we've been having, I thought I needed some "sun", hee hee! I've had these fun papers from Doodlebug Designs for awhile and wanted to use them on a monochromatic card! This is another fun image from the new "Party Animal" line from Whiff of Joy--this is "Molly Celebrating Sheep", isn't she a cutie-pop! The layout is from last week's Whiff of Joy Challenge Blog--simple and sweet. The corner embellishments are SEI white buttons with glitterdots on top. I added a bunch of stickles to the presents for some extra sparkle too!

Make sure and visit Katharina's blog for a SNEAK PEEK of a new special "SPRING STAMP KIT" that you can now pre-order on the main store site. All 10 of the stamps are by Elisabeth Bell & I assure they are all gorgeous. Whiff of Joy will be offering these kits 4 times a year and they are a GREAT VALUE---10 stamps for $37 and soooooo worth it! You can pre-order today until January 26th---after that date you can no longer order the kit, so if you want it go & order NOW!

See ya tomorrow!

Countrytime!!

Happy Saturday everyone! What's everyone up to this weekend? We have a few errands to run and then we are blissfully free---yay!! I'm going to spend some time craftin' and catching up on projects so that maybe I can actually get ahead, lol! Lots of projects & so little time....oh my! And I have a confession for you today------I am a hoarder of "alterable items", there I said it! I have an issue with picking up (many) items always with the good intention of using it--needless to say I have a cupboard full of items, lol! One of my New Year's resolutions is to actually use some of them--so keep on the lookout, ok. So, in that spirit I transformed one of my many "items" for ya today---

I have wood clipboards in many sizes in my cupboard and I really wanted to use this medium sized one. My home is kinda traditional & french country (I love french country)especially my kitchen, so I made this to match my kitchen :o) I had to use this new, fabby "Buttermilk Hen" from the new Karen Lockhart collection cuz' I love roosters & chickens! I painted the back & sides of the clipboard w/ acrylic paint and then attached this yummy dp from Chatterbox with modgepodge. After sanding the edges I inked all around with my Memento brown ink to distress it a bit. The cute hen was colored with Copics and I added a few Distress Stickles in "scattered straw" to the straw, lol!
The sentiment is from PTI's "Mailbox Greetings" and is perfect for this project. I'll probably set this on my kitchen desk but it would be great as a recipe holder too. The cool thing about these clipboards is that they came with a lil' removable stand so you can actually stand it up or hang it! I found mine at Michael's and they were under $2---great gift idea, me thinks!

My second project today uses another new stamp from Whiff of Joy's "party animal" line---I think this lil' mouse is just too cute for words! (If you're here in the states you can buy this lil' guy right here) I used this week's SCS sketch #210 for the layout which was kinda fun & made me step out of my box a little. This fun dp is from K&Co & I've had it for awhile--I love the bright colors! I paired it with matching colors from my Coredinations stash and added some fun scrolls made with this punch to the mix. The sentiment is from SU's "lots of thoughts" set and fit perfectly in this box! A few stickles and some rhinestones & its done---a really fun birthday card!

Make sure and check out Katharina's blog tomorrow for a sneak peek of the new WOJ Elisabeth Bell stamps that are coming out in February. I've seen them all & they are "adorable"--lovee them all!

I will also have some Valentine Blog Candy next week---so make sure and check back :o)

See ya on Monday!

Be Mine!!

Happy TGIFriday---yay, the weekend is here!! I am soooo ready for a peaceful weekend and no running around and no more Christmas decorations staring at me begging to be put away. They've been packed away for next year, thank goodness--big thanx to hubby for helping out! We're supposed to be getting a "wintry mix" here today but I don't believe the local weathermen anymore--they're always wrong lately, lol! Alrighty, onto my card for ya...

This lil' cutie is from Magnolia's new Valentine Collection that you can order at Magnolia-licious--her name is "Tilda w/ Tag" and she's perfect for ANY occasion!! I like to use non-traditional colors on holiday cards to mix it up sometimes---don't get me wrong, I love the reds & pinks too! The yummy dp in the large heart is from Laura Ashley that you can see here. The cs is all Coredinations and if you haven't checked out their yummy colors, you really should--lots of great colors that SU & PTI don't offer. Even better is that you make the "core color" come out--in this case I embossed my dark cs w/ my new CB hearts folder and then sanded lightly on top to bring out the white underneath--fun!

And yes, I realized after loading my pictures that a small pearl fell off the bottom corner--oopsies! (just ignore it pleez, lol) In the corners I again used one of my many Fiskars border punches to create the corner brackets---I love to have corner brackets and its easy-peasy to make your own!

Just a close-up to show you that I double stamped the tag & cut it out & popped it up so it would be 3-D! I also added a few (ok, alot) of stardust stickles to her dress & bow for lotsa sparkles. The sentiment that I fit onto the tag is from PTI's "Limitless Labels" which has lots of cute & small words that fit!

Don't forget to stop by our "Fans of Karen Lockhart" site on PaperCraft Planet to enter for our yummy webcandy-you have until tomorrow to do so. You can see/buy the entire new Lockhart Collection here & remember that Susana is offering a punch card system for Lockharts. If you buy 4 regular sized Lockharts you get an IB of your choice FREE, you do not have to buy them all at once either (punchcards are good forevah', lol)!!

PS--Check out Lim's great blog candy here---she's giving away a new Hanglar stamp & 100 Hanglar images which I've been dying to get my hands on. Whatcha' waiting for-go enter!!

See ya tomorrow,
Suzanne

Party Animals!!

Hi everyone!! The weekend is almost here--yippee! We have no special plans so hopefully that means some creative fun time in my craft room for me!! I have lots to get done before my plane trip to CHA in 2 weeks---ackkkkkk! Thankfully I'm flying with my friend Marti cuz' I HATE flying--I'm already dreading it & hopefully I don't scare the pants off of Marti or she won't wanna fly back with me, LOL! I can't wait to meet up with all my cyber-buddies in real life and have some fun! My friend Susana is rooming w/ me for a few days and roaming CHA together to check all the new goodies & I'll be bloggin' about it every nite for you, my friends!!

I FINALLY got my new Whiff of Joy stamps---seems the other package has gotten lost in the mail somewhere between here & Switzerland :o( so Katherina is sending me them again! Darn mail system, lol! Of all the new Party Animal images this is my absolute favorite one of them all---these lil' "Celebrating Foxes"are too fun & cute for words. (Altho' my friend Susana said they were cute "dogs"--lol). If you're here in the states and want to order some of these great stamps visit www.7kidscollegefund.com --Tab will have them all in stock soon for ya!

Now, I colored my "foxes" scientifically correct w/ Copics cuz' I'm anal about that and I googled the colorations of foxes (fyi: they come in browns, reds, grays & white). Actually I could just look out my back windows cuz' we have a HUGE fox roaming the neighborhood (red one) & I'm worried he may have rabies or attack the kids or doggies!

The layout is this week's Mojo Monday sketch which I just love--will use this one again! The sentiment is from SU's "lots of thoughts" set and I used lotsa glitter dots--oh how I lovee them! If you haven't tried them yet you should, lol--they're super glittery, come in lotsa colors and have flat backs so you don't have to punch thru your paper like you do w/ a brad! The fab & fun dp is from My Minds Eye "Tres Jolie" line!

If you haven't stopped by our "Fans of Karen Lockhart" site on PCP yet and entered for our yummy webcandy---you have until Saturday the 10th to do so! And check out the new Lockhart collection here too.

Until tomorrow my friends,
Suzanne

Rock On!!

Hiya everyone! How's your week going so far? The weathermen were wrong AGAIN and we ended up with only rain yesterday---so the kids went off to school, yay!! I love a quiet house, I get sooo much more work done, lol! I'm having some terrible back issues right now that aren't going away so I might be off to the dr's in a lil' bit--so this post will not be super long for ya!

Today is Whatchadoin' Wednesday over at Storage Units, Ink & More and its challenge #22 which is "Love is in the Air"! The challenge is to make a card for a loved one but the card CANNOT be standard size (4.5x5.5)---yeah, I didn't venture far from that cuz' my card is 4.5x4.5 square, but I like it, lol! I had to use this image from SUINK's new set "Sweet Things"--such a fun image to color in. This dp is from my new favorite DCWV "Sweet" stack--isnt' it gorgeous and my favorite colors together are blue & chocolate (blog header anyone)! I colored w/ Copics and then added Diamond Glaze to the chocolates & ribbon to make them pop! In the corners I added some Bella Baubles in cappucino--oh my how I lovee those baubles. I think I'll give this card to my sweet, sweet hubby!! If you wanna join in on the fun, upload your creations to SCS using the keyword "WWC22"--we'd love to see!

Second card of the day is for this week's SCS color challenge #200 which was to use pumpkin pie, brilliant blue & garden green together---can you say "ewwww", not my favorites thats for sure! I really needed to make some "older" boy cards and I find them soooo hard to make w/o being too cutesy, but this set "Rock-On" from H&M Stamp Co. really helps and its on sale right now for $4 at H&M's HUGE Garage Sale (if you haven't shopped yet, ya bettah' hurry, all sets under $5 thru tonight).

Guitar Hero is a super popular game at our house and alot of teen's right now (I'm not very good, but its always fun to get your inner rock-goddess on, giggle) so I made this card with that in mind. The dp is from DCWV's "Pet" stack (I know strange, but it worked) and I added a nice, thick coat of diamond glaze to the guitar and speaker to make them really pop. I had to add the sparkly glitterdots to the mix too---I must've done a pretty good job cuz' my son gave it his "thumbs up", lol!

If you were hoping to get that cutie-pie H&M set called "My Favorite Valentine" and it was sold out--my DT sistah Julia is giving one away as blog candy on Saturday, so make sure and visit. DT sistah Carolina is also giving yummy blog candy away--a $20 gift card to H&M Stamps for you to spend!!

Hope you're having a great week & see ya back here tomorrow.

hugz,

Suzanne

Oh Sweet Day!!

Hello and Happy Tuesday everyone! I'm typing this up the nite before, so my kids may or may not be home due to some nasty winter weather we're supposed to be getting. We've been pretty lucky here in VA as far as winter goes, just some sleet and cold air and nothing else. Which is just FINE by me---I am not a lover of winter or the cold at all! I'm looking forward to the greens and warmth of spring :o) So to move past the cold today, I'm sharing some SWEET cards w/ ya!

My first card today uses a sugary sweet set by H&M Stamp Co. called "Sweetly Stamped"--lots of fun images in this set. And today kicks off the H&M Garage Sale and all sets are on sale today & tomorrow for $5 or under. If you love this set it is now $4---a deal you cannot beat, but hurry cuz' they're flying off the shelves!! And as if that's not enuff' sugar to getcha' going, my DT sistah Carolina has some yummy blog candy to give away--a $20 gift card to H&M Stamps!

I paired it up with this yummo-licious dp by DCWV called appropriately "Sweet" (now 40% off at www.joann.com ). It has the cutest patterns in it, including a mini cupcake sheet that I cannot wait to use! This card also uses this week's "Try a New Technique-#202" on SCS which was to use glitter on your card using tacky tape. I layered 3 stripes of my red-line tacky tape on top of the blue striped dp and then poured pink glitter on top. I also made a frame around my image with diamond glaze and glitter too (can't be too sparkly ya know, lol). Some Basic Grey buttons finish it off!

Now this cutie is sweet of the cutie-patootie kind!! My friend Marti released a new line of stamps yesterday called Polka-Dot Pie (dontcha' love that name) including this image above that you can see at her store Pez-a-Doodle. I paired it up with this new fabulous dp from Basic Grey called "Bittersweet" (lovee it). I colored her with Copics to match the dp and then just layered. The corners and border were done with my Fiskars threading water punch--I love to make different corner brackets w/ my punches--makes them super versatile.

This close-up shows you all the Shimmerz (pink poinsettia) I used--really shimmery and fun! Although this is very Valentine-ish, I purposely left off a sentiment so it could be used for any occasion for a special lil' someone!!
If you haven't stopped by our "Fans of Karen Lockhart" site yet, make sure and enter for our yummy web candy including a signed & colored "NEW" stamp by Karen Lockhart herself!
See ya back here tomorrow!

Game Night!!

Happy, Happy First Monday of January! Ahh, the kids are back in school & hubby is back at work---it was nice having everyone home but its nice having quiet in the house too, LOL! We managed to get all of my Christmas decorations (all 8 trees) down yesterday in one day---hubby helped me big time (love that man). I took the opportunity to deep clean along the way and everything is back to normal (I guess, hee hee)! Hubby is taking down the outside lights for me tomorrow and then it will be all done--isn't he a great hubby?

I have to tell you I LOVE my project that I have to share with you today---the stamps, the colors, just everything, LOL! These awesome gameboard stamps are brand spankin' new from Karen Lockhart and you can purchase them today at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design. The entire collection will be available for sale at 7 am (PST) today and you will LOVE them all!

I really wanted to showcase these gameboards in a special way--so I created these fun "Game Night" invites altering the usual "criss-cross" card into a longer, leaner pocket card. (dimensions for these are 5.75x9"--scored at 3" & 6" and then cut the sides diagonally). These are super-easy to make and mass produce for any event!

This fabulously fun dp is Basic Grey's "Offbeat"--which I think is cool & retro looking! I paired it with SU's baja breeze and pumpkin pie cs. I colored the game pieces with Copics to match too! For the inside info I printed the info directly onto my cream cs and then stamped another NEW Lockhart stamp on the bottom in baja breeze ink--isn't that popcorn stamp cute (I gots lots of ideas for that stamp, bwwahhhhh)?

I also coated the gameboards with Angel Wings Shimmerz so they have a fun shimmer to them too---they're also popped up on dimensionals.
So what's your favorite gameboard of the three? Mine has to be Parcheesi--I love to play that game! Growing up my mom and I always played boardgames or cards in the evening and this was our most favorite game to play. I'm gonna have to look on Ebay for some vintage gameboards that I can hang down in our game room now!

So don't forget to check out the New Collection by Karen Lockhart--here! And visit my other DT sistah Lynn's blog for her project here. We also have new Web Candy up on our "Fans of Karen Lockhart" site on PaperCraft Planet thru Jan.10th to celebrate!! Lots of goodies including a hand-colored and signed *NEW* Karen Lockhart stamp for ya!! Hope to see ya over there!!

See ya tomorrow,

Fairy Grateful!!

Happy Sunday everyone! Ahh, the last day before the kids head back to school and hubby to work! I'm finishing taking down Christmas stuff today which is a forever kinda task in my house, hee hee! Hope you all have had a wonderful New Year's weekend too! Back to reality I guess...

My card today uses another Faerie Art Song stamp called "Would You Be My Friend" that you can purchase here. I just adore these cute lil' pixie stamps--they have the loveliest expressions! I colored her with Copics and this yummo-licious dp is from Dovecraft's "Glamour" pack (lovee it)! Those flower centers are Bella Baubles (I used lemonade) which you can get at Susana's store along with the Dovecraft dp, Shimmerz and pixie stamp. That cute lil sentiment is from H&M Stamp Co's "Fairy Tales" set which will be on sale Jan. 6th & 7th and includes lots of cute sentiments to use with the fairies! I punched out 3 butterflies w/ my MS punch and layered them--the vellum layer on top also got a coat of iced lavender shimmerz.

Just a close-up so you can see how fabby all those Shimmerz are! I used iced lavender, golden wheat and pink poinsettia on her wings & clothes. If you haven't tried them you should---the most versatile color is Angel Wings if you just wanna try one (very sheer and goes over every color)--once ya get one, you'll want more-LOL!

Don't forget to stop by our "Fans of Karen Lockhart" site on PaperCraft Planet to enter for some yummy webcandy--all details are on the site! Please visit my DT gals today for their beautiful Lockhart creations---Danni and Christine are up today! Don't forget that all the new Lockhart stamps will be available for purchase on Jan.5th Susana's Custom Art & Card Design.

See ya back here tomorrow,

Lil' Valentines!!

Hello everyone! How are you all doing this first weekend of January? Other than taking down my Christmas decorations (times 8 trees plus outside is an all day event, lol) we don't have any plans except taking it easy--of course after packing away my tons of Xmas stuff I'll need a day of rest!! I'll try and keep this post short for ya so you can get on with your day, hee hee!

I made a set of these cute Valentine notecards for my neice (3 of each) for her to give out to her "special" friends this Valentine's Day! I ADORE this set "My Favorite Valentine" from H&M Stamps--the images are just too cute (lil doggie in set is cute too, didn't finish him up in time for pictures tho')! Remember Jan.6th thru 7th, H&M Stamps is having a HUGE Garage Sale and all stamps will be $5 or under---so if you like this set or want others make sure and get 'em while they're on sale--you'll save bigtime!!

This set of cards uses Basic Grey "Sultry" dp and SU cs in fun & bright colors! They're such happy colors to me :o) I colored both images with Copics and then layered Shimmerz on top (can't really tell from my photos but they're super shimmer IRL)! A few stickles, some dry embossing and the ribbon is from American Crafts--simple designs that are easy to mass produce and cheery to boot!

Get Better Soon!!

Happy 2nd Day of January everyone! Does anyone have some good plans for their upcoming weekend? We have no plans (ahhhhh) and I'm thankful for that because come Monday back to the "real world"! Hubby goes back to work and kids go back to school!! The time off was nice but it will be good to be back in our routine again too! Although my kids are so prayin' to get some snow soon--we've only had some flurries and sleet, nothing fun to play in (although I'm looking forward to spring already, LOL)! Ok, onto my projects of the day....
********************************************************

Today marks the kick-off of our contest over on PaperCraft Planet for the "Countdown to Karen Lockhart" release of her new stamps. Please stop by our site (Fans of Karen Lockhart) to leave a comment to be entered for a Itty Bitty stamp that will be given away by Susana everyday thru the 5th!! We'll also have sneak peeks of the new stamps and Susana's DT will have projects for you everyday. Also starting on the 5th of this month we will have a huge webcandy giveaway that includes a signed and colored *new* stamp by Karen Lockhart and some other fabulous goodies!!

My project today features Karen Lockhart stamps of course and I'm the first of the DT projects for our countdown! I had seen this get well-kit on my blogger friend Sandy's site (see her blog for dimensions and directions) and knew I had to make one (or 2 or 3)! Super easy to assemble and such a nice gift to give someone that is in the hospital or just home sick in bed! I used the Lockhart stamp "tissue box" on the front of both the card and get-well packet. This yummy dp is by K&Co "Roam" that paired well with SU's new baja breeze cs.

This is a close-up of the card---for each tissue box image I colored with Copics and then added a sheer coat of Shimmerz on top. I cut a slit in the tissue box image and added real tissue to it for a fun look! Inside I stamped the Lockhart sentiment that says "Sneezie, Queezie, Wheezie" which I think is soooo cute! The baubles are "goldilocks" and they will be available from Susana's store this weekend---she's getting lots of colors and metallics in (I wuvvy them)!! I used elegant colors and patterns to make this set gender neutral so it would be appropriate to give to anyone, but it would also be fun jazzed up in cheerful colors especially for a sick child!

This is an inside view of the packet which includes a pack of tissues, a chapstick and a throat lozenger. I attached them all with red-line tacky tape. To make this packet close I added a wrap around tab and hid a small Basic Grey magnet on the back and then this pretty metal brad to the front--the brad automatically sticks to the magnet (just a nice alternative)! Such a quick and easy gift for friends or family who aren't feeling well!

Please make sure and stop by our PCP site and enter our Lockhart contest---we'd love to have you. And check out all the Lockhart stamps in Susana's store too---she will have all the NEW Lockhart stamps in store on Friday, the 5th for you to purchase. And if you buy 4 regular sized Lockhart images you get a free Itty Bitty stamp of your choice too--no need to buy them all at once if you don't wanna cuz' Susana will give you a cyber-punch card to keep track!!

See ya tomorrow!

Happy New Year!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!!! Did you celebrate too much or did ya keep it quiet? We kept it pretty tame with friends and had some fun and good food! I have lots planned for the New Year so I hope you will continue to visit me here on my lil "ole blog", LOL & I hope the new year is good to you all too! I've got a few projects for you today, so make sure you scroll down all the way!

The Whiff of Joy DT's Papercraft of the Month was to create candy wrapping/packaging. I thought this would be a wonderful opportunity to create an early Valentine's Gift. I made a card and covered a heart tin from PTI that I filled with chocolate truffles.

My card uses the WOJ stamp "Teenage Lizzie w/ chocolates" which is a perfect stamp to use for Valentine's Day (and she's on sale right now too)! This yummy dp is by Making Memories "Love Story" and I love the black accents this paper had so I carried that thru my design. She's colored with Copics and I also layered on some Shimmerz in "angel wings" on her coat for shimmer. I used my scroll punch and added some red heart jewels (from Michaels) on the scrolls for more detail.

This is the heart tin from PTI that I covered with the matching dp and scrolls and jewels. The center of the tins are clear but I wanted to cover mine so I attached red Coredinations cs on the inside. Was pretty quick to do and I think it turned out wonderfully! What do you think? Make sure and check out all the WOJ DT's projects (on sidebar)--they are all fabby! The release party for the new WOJ stamps will be on PaperCraft Planet site tomorrow (5 pm EST)--please stop by and join us for lively discussions and prizes!! And the new WOJ stamps will be available for purchase on Jan. 3rd too!

My last project is for the Magnolia-licious DT sketch Challenge for January. This sketch is by Suzy this month and it was so fun to use. I picked this cutie pie Tilda from the "Pink Collection" called "Ice/Ballet princess"--my daughter has done ballet since she was 3 so I had to have this stamp when it came out. I found this beautiful K&Co. dp at Michaels from their "Hopscotch" line and had to use it. The cs is from PTI and I embossed it with my CB swirls folder---the sentiment is from Verve Stamps "Beautiful You" and I actually only used the first verse of it for this card (love it). For some extra bling I used stickles on her tutu & bow, Shimmerz on her socks and outfit and some lt. pink pearls around the sentiment. I really love how this card turned out---so soft & pretty!

Make sure and check out all the DT blogs (Claudia, Suzy & Cheryl) to see their take on this sketch and we'd love to have you try your hand out on this sketch too. I believe there will be a folder for January's sketch to upload your cards to on the Magnolia-licious Yahoo site and you can email it to Diana Crick at Magnolia-licious so she can put it in the store gallery too!

Hope you liked the projects today and please check back tomorrow cuz' I'll have some more announcements and projects for you!

1 Sketch, 2 Ways!!

Happy New Year's Eve everyone! Are you celebrating tonight or keeping it lowkey? My daughter is going to a sleepover and my hubby, me and son are going to a neighbor's home for a low-key dinner party. I'm a nightowl anyway so staying up past midnite is a "non-event" for me, LOL! Our hotel room in NYC overlooked where the ball drops on New Year's Eve so the kids thought that was cool! I'm wishing each and everyone of you a Happy New Year and I hope it brings you all you wish for and more!!!

Both of my cards today use Julee's (Vervegirl) Mojo Monday sketch #67 which is so versatile and easy to use. For this particular card I used my favorite fairy stamp "Willow" from Susana's Custom Art & Card Design. This yummy dp is by Dovecraft called "Aquamarine" and I just lovee the soft colors and patterns in it---you can only buy it here in the US at Susana's store if you're interested! I used my new favorite product, Scrappers Floss, to make the curly-q around the ribbon and the sentiment is from PTI's "Heartfelt Basics"(trully a super versatile set).

This is a closeup so you can see the shimmer from using Shimmerz in "iced lavender & angel wings". I color with Copics first and then paint over it w/ the Shimmerz---they're very sheer and dry very quickly, just love 'em!

The second card made with this sketch uses H&M Stamp's "Miracle From Above" set--which has the greatest images and sentiments for baby/new parent cards. I intentionally used neutral colors on this card so that it would be appropriate for a girl or boy! This lovely dp is by Basic Grey "Lily Kate"--so soft and pretty. I colored with Copics and gave this new Mom some "sassiness" by adding some sparkles to her shirt w/ Stickles. We all know new mom's need some extra bling :o) Don't forget H&M Stamps is having a HUGE SALE on Jan.6th & 7th and all stamp sets will be $5 (I have alot on my list to buy at this great price)! Teddy Bear Time!!

Hiya everyone! Is everyone still clinging on to the last days of 2008 or itching for the New Year? I for one am ready for 2009--Bring It On, LOL! I have a bunch of New Year's resolutions but we'll see next year at this time if I manage to do any, hee hee! Anybody have any great resolutions they'd like to share. I for one, need to lose 15 lbs and get fit and start eating better (will NOT give up my Cherry Coke, NO WAY-NO HOW!):o) I have lots to do this year so I'm hopeful for a wonderful and healthy New Year for me, my family and all of you too!

Isn't this just the cutest lil' bear you evah' saw? (YILM, no not really, hee hee) These lil' guys are called "Shy Bears" and you can see the whole collection HERE. I had ordered some Xmas ones and then never got to use 'em--December seems to be a blur to me, LOL! I based my colors on this yummo-licious dp by My Minds Eye--I'm really lovin' using these bright, springy colors right now! I colored w/ Copics and then I used my brown Doodlebug Flock (in bon-bon) on the bear--I attached it w/ diamond glaze (2 coats of flock for extra fuzziness). The sentiment is from PTI's "Heartfelt Basics"--love this new set!

This closeup shows the Shimmerz I used on the flower petals (love this stuff--dries super quick & is super shimmery)--I used it in "pink poinsettia" on top of the Copics. I also used the new Distress Stickles in "scattered straw" in the flower centers. I hadn't used the Distress Stickles before and I really like them--they're more of a subtle sparkle but they leave a nice texture, kinda bumpy which is really cool! I also added diamond glaze to his eyes. So whatcha' think? Do you love him? All the products I used on this image you can find at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design. The Copic colors are all listed at the bottom of the post and you can buy them all at 7 Kids College Fund!

This last card is another sneak peek of 2 new sets being released by Clear Dollar Stamps on Jan.1st called "Spring Critters" and "Critter Messages". I decided to put my chick in part of the egg shell (included in set as 2) along with the cute lil ladybug. I love, love my new Pinking Circle Nesties--just a fun alternative to the plain circles! The dp is from My Minds Eye again and I colored with Copics and added lotsa stickles. The ribbon and cs are from PTI. A fun spring or Easter card for a great friend! Visit all my DT sistah's blogs to see more peeks (list on side bar)!

Also, my SUINK DT sistah's (Amber, Leigh & Laura) all have sneak peeks on their blogs today--so make sure and stop by and leave 'em some love :o)

Springtime in Winter!!

Happy last Monday of the Year everyone! I'm welcoming 2009 and hoping its a great year! We're enjoying a fairly low-key week and I'm taking full advantage of it, LOL! The weather this weekend was crazy, mid sixties at the end of December. Oh how I wish winter was like that ALL the time, but it definitely makes me look forward to spring. And speaking of Spring, I have a couple of spring-like projects for ya today...

This card uses another new stamp set to be released from Clear Dollar Stamps called "Spring Critters". There is also an add-on set to this called "Critter Messages" and both will be released on Jan.1st! I used the bunny & chick stamps from the set to create a "friends scene" for spring. The Basic Grey "Urban Prairie" dp has the perfect colors/patterns for spring & Easter cards. I used my Copics to color the image and and drew in more grass w/ my mulitliner pen (0.8) to blend the images together(some stickles too, lol). I used my SU corner punch to make all the corner brackets and the ribbon is from PTI.

Here's another card I did using the new "Charliene Cowgirl" stamp set from Clear Dollar Stamps that also releases on Jan. 1st. I knew my SU "Outlaw" dp would be perfect to use with this image! One of our DT challenges was to use these colors and include a charm somewhere on our cards and I happened to have some Karen Foster cowboy charms stashed away! I tied the charm on with one of my new favorite products--Karen Foster Scrapper's Floss! Its so fun to use and if you wrap it tightly around a pencil it will take on this wonderful curl, so so fun & comes in tons of colors and is cheap to boot! This card also uses a great sketch issued by our DT leader Laurie Wilson--lovee this sketch. I colored w/ Copics and added some diamond stickles to her cowgirl hat and saddle so she's a "Sassy Cowgirl"!

Hope you liked my sneak peeks today! Make sure and visit the CDS DT blogs today for more of their sneak peeks (list on sidebar)!

Also, three more of my SUINK DT sistah's have more sneak peeks of the two new sets on their blogs today--so make sure and stop by (Kristen, Tori, & Carolina)'s blogs for their awesome creations!

I'll be back tomorrow with some more peeks and a Magnolia project for ya too!

Sneakie Peekie Time!

Happy Sunday everyone! Have you all recovered from your holiday festivities yet? I'm trying to catch up on ALOT of lost sleep and get some crafting time in, since I haven't made anything in a week (GASP)!! We had a wonderful Christmas and I loved every minute but I have to say I'm looking forward to the semi-calmness of January, LOL! We're going to a friend's house for a New Year's Eve get together, but it will be low-key just how I like it :o) Anyone of you have any exciting New Year's plans? Ok, onto 2 sneakie peekies for ya....

This first card uses one of two new sets being released by Storage Units, Ink & More on Jan. 1st! Both sets involve love & sweet things great for Valentine's Day :o) I really love SUINK stamps because the sets include so many separate stamps for you to use together or separately---and I love to make scenes with them! I used 5 stamps from the "Will You Be My Valentine" set for this card. The dp is from K&Co's "Smitten" line which I lovee! I colored with Copics and added some stardust stickles to the image. The hearts are from my new Heart Nestabilities that I got just in time for Valentine projects. You likee? Make sure and visit my fellow DT sistah's blogs today for their sneak peekies too (Mary Jo & Colleen)! I'll list the DT sistahs who will have sneak peeks this week everyday for ya!

This next card uses a new stamp set from Clear Dollar Stamps (to be released Jan.1st) called "Charliene Cowgirl"--if you're familiar with their cute Charlie Cowhorse stamps then you'll lovee this set too. For this card I only used part of the horse image in my circle and I didn't make her look too girly so that this card would work for both a boy or a girl. I colored with Copics and used this yummy "Men of Life" dp from PTI which is so fun! I stamped out separately the horseshoe & boots and used my Nesties to cut them all out. The stars are from my SU star punch and I used Stampendous GeoSparklers on the ends to make them look like sheriff's stars. The sentiment is from CDS's "Casual Curls Sentiments" set which works perfectly for that cowboy font look! Make sure and visit the DT's (list on my sidebar) blogs all this week for their beautiful & fun creations using all the new sets. I will have sneak peeks of a few different sets here on my blog this week too!

If you've been waiting to get some Shimmerz, Scrapper's Floss and Doodlebug Flocks/Glitters---Susana's Custom Art & Card Design has them all in now in lots of scrumptious colors, so check 'em out!

H&M Stamps will be having a HUGE BLOWOUT Garage Sale on Jan.6th-7th--ALL stamp sets will be $5!! So if you got some Xmas money, that's a great deal and great way to spend it, LOL!!

See ya back here tomorrow,

Suzanne
