Fairy Tales can Come true!!

Hello & Happy Saturday everyone! Hope your weekend is off to a great start! It is in the 70's here and my windows are wide open & I'm soooo lovin' it. Now if the trees would bloom & everything turn that wonderful spring-y green :o) And we get to turn out clocks forward tomorrow (so don't forget, hee hee)--more daylight, yay!!! I have 2 projects to share with you today that I hope you'll enjoy.....

I finally got my Medieval Whiff of Joy stamps this week, after waiting patiently for weeks (not really, hee hee). Seems that someone in the customs office likes WOJ stamps cuz' they're not getting to me when they should, LOL! Anywhoo, I've got two very different projects to show with them today for ya! If you love these stamps, 7 Kids College Fund has them for pre-order right now(soon to be in stock) if you want to order them here in the States!

This little cutie is "Maid Charlotte"--I just love her & her pretty dress & flowers! I paired her up with this yummo-licious dp from My Mind's Eye (Laundry Line--love this stuff)--I thought the criss-cross pattern reminded me of her dress bodice. She's colored with Copics of course and I added some diamond stickles to her flowers! The flowers are Prima & Petaloo's and I used my Goldilocks Bella Baubles in their centers! Sentiment is from Verve Stamps! Do you love her?

Now, this one is totally different from what I usually do and I love it for that reason! Looks like a simple card but it took me forevah' (isn't it always the simple cards that take longer, hee hee)! This cutie pop is "Warrior Charlie" from the same WOJ Medieval Line--love him! The dp is from DCWV "fantasy" stack--I distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz paper distresser and inked the edges real good too. I wanted this card to be ALL BOY--totally masculine and roughed up!

Now don't faint my friends, but yes I actually hand-sewed around the edges (I know how to sew, just don't like it, lol) with brown Scrappers Floss. I wanted to use twine but it was just too thick, so to the rescue--Scrappers Floss--worked wonderfully and sewed beautifully, lovee this stuff! This little knight was colored with Copics and then I added Diamond Glaze to his shield and a few Armor spots and lots of Shimmerz (angel wingz) on his shoes & sword, and Copper Bella Baubles too! That fun sentiment is from a Gina K set called "Kindred Greetings for Him". My son said it was a "cool" card, so I guess it passed the boy test---hee hee! You likee?

That's all for me today! I'll see ya back here on Monday & hopefully my laptop will be back up & running by then! Have a great weekend!

Suzanne

Puff the Magic Dragon!!

Oh Happy Thursday friends!! I'm super busy today doing laundry, running last minute errands & writing about a thousand notes for my hubby (he has never been left alone this long--who knows what can happen)--LOL! I'm almost scared to leave---my hubby is very together but he can only handle one thing at a time, so I don't know if the animals will get fed or the kids fed, hee hee! We shall see....hopefully I don't come home to a disaster!! I'm so excited to get out to CA and meet all my cyber friends in person---I cannot wait! I will be blogging from CHA so make sure and check in regularly & hopefully have lotsa pictures for ya too!! And when I get back I will have my 100,000 hits BLOG CANDY---yahoo!! :o)

Ok, so if you noticed my title you're probably thinking "what the heck" & no, it doesn't mean I'm smoking anything, lol! I loved, loved the "Puff the Magic Dragon" movie when I was little and this dragon kinda reminded me of him! He is so stinkin' cute & he's from the H&M Stamps set "Dreaming of Princess Land"--which is out of stock right now (sorry) but I'm sure Heather will let you know when its back in stock if you're interested in it!!

I paired him with this cute dp by DCWV "Green Stack" which fit perfectly me thinks! The background on the yellow cs is just a small stamp from one of my PTI stamp sets that I stamped with Versamark Dazzle in "champagne"(such a nice soft shimmer). The buttons are from MME & SEI and I tied a loopy bow with my Scrappers Floss. I made that cute lil' banner just by scoring my cs 4 times so that the center pops up and then cut the ends--so fun!

This close-up shows all the Shimmerz (celery) and Stardust stickles I used--love me my shimmer! I attached his "puff of smoke" to his mouth so he was blowing down on the banner, this set has so many fun images to use! I really love how this card turned out---the cheery colors and the fact that its appropriate for a boy or a girl! Whatcha' think?

Please make sure and stop by Susana's Custom Art & Card Design store blog "Follow Your Heart" today! One of the DT gals, Danni has a tutorial on "Paper Piecing", so if you've never done it & want to learn, make sure & stop by! We will have tutorials on the store blog every Thursday--and next week will be "Stamping on Candles"!

I will have a pre-posted project for you tomorrow and if you could pray for my safe flight to CA, I would so appreciate it!!! I have a nervous belly just thinking about stepping on the plane, lol---but I will make it!!

Fairy Grateful!!

Happy Sunday everyone! Ahh, the last day before the kids head back to school and hubby to work! I'm finishing taking down Christmas stuff today which is a forever kinda task in my house, hee hee! Hope you all have had a wonderful New Year's weekend too! Back to reality I guess...

My card today uses another Faerie Art Song stamp called "Would You Be My Friend" that you can purchase here. I just adore these cute lil' pixie stamps--they have the loveliest expressions! I colored her with Copics and this yummo-licious dp is from Dovecraft's "Glamour" pack (lovee it)! Those flower centers are Bella Baubles (I used lemonade) which you can get at Susana's store along with the Dovecraft dp, Shimmerz and pixie stamp. That cute lil sentiment is from H&M Stamp Co's "Fairy Tales" set which will be on sale Jan. 6th & 7th and includes lots of cute sentiments to use with the fairies! I punched out 3 butterflies w/ my MS punch and layered them--the vellum layer on top also got a coat of iced lavender shimmerz.

Just a close-up so you can see how fabby all those Shimmerz are! I used iced lavender, golden wheat and pink poinsettia on her wings & clothes. If you haven't tried them you should---the most versatile color is Angel Wings if you just wanna try one (very sheer and goes over every color)--once ya get one, you'll want more-LOL!

Don't forget to stop by our "Fans of Karen Lockhart" site on PaperCraft Planet to enter for some yummy webcandy--all details are on the site! Please visit my DT gals today for their beautiful Lockhart creations---Danni and Christine are up today! Don't forget that all the new Lockhart stamps will be available for purchase on Jan.5th Susana's Custom Art & Card Design.

See ya back here tomorrow,
Suzanne
