In the Doghouse!!

Hello & Welcome to Thursday, hee hee! Almost to the weekend, hurrah! Once again I'm wishing away the week for the weekend, LOL--oh well its the best part of the week usually! Horrors--I didn't exercise yesterday due to a major migraine so that means today my 1 hour workout will be 1.5 hours--ack--some running & then my 45 minute kettleball cardio video. If you haven't tried out a kettleball workout & you wanna tone quick--this one is for you. I have no issues making it thru the video but omgoodness the next day am I sore, so I sure hope its working!! I'm also hoping the rain is finally gone (rained for 3 days here in VA-blech) so I can get the doggies out for a nice long walk--they're in need of some good exercise (just like me, hee hee)! Speaking of doggies, I've got a cute one for ya today!!

**Newsbitz--I still have 2 spots left in my June 14th Copic class if anyone is interested!! Please email me if you are--I'd love to have ya :o) **

So here is my cute puppy dog card for ya! I lovee this cheery card with the pups--so cute! I used Magnolia's "Tilda w/ Puppy" and "Rufus the Dog" available at Magnolia-licious! The cute doghouse is by Alota Stamps and available at Magnolia-licious here too! The three work perfectly together! The dp is from DCWV "Citrus" pack and I added some small matching Primas as well. The sign that say's "Chillin' Out" is popped up w/ dimensionals and that sentiment is from PTI's "A Day at the Beach" set--fit perfectly on there!

Tilda & Rufus were cut out & popped up as well and I added some diamond glaze to Rufus' tongue (sloppy wet dog kisses) and to the sign! The butterfly is from two Martha Stewart butterfly punches that I put together! Perfect ending touch!

Hope this card brings a smile to your face today :o)! Don't forget to stop by the Stamping Out Alzheimer's site if you haven't already to join in on the fun challenges for a great cause!!

See ya tomorrow!

Flowers and Vegas!!

Hiya & Happy Friday! I'm bacckkkkkkkk--LOL! I got home Tuesday evening and had to take 2 days to recover from the time change & the utterly exhausting but total blast I had in Vegas!! I had the best time with my gal pals & I flew w/o any anxiety (amazing)--although our flight heading out to Vegas was delayed by 3 hours! Vegas is definitely not a place you go to relax, LMBO--but I had a fabulous birthday (thanks girlies) and a really wonderful time. The weather was perfect--amazing how 90 degrees in dry heat feels comfortable--if its 90 in VA we're all sweating! I gambled (won & lost, hee hee), ate some yummo-licious food, saw "Cher", saw the "O" Cirque du Soleil (in water & totally fabulous) & did some shopping. Whewww...are you tired from all those activities? I still am! We also rented a car and saw the Hoover Dam & the Red Rock Canyons--just stunningly beautiful! Anywhoo, I have a slideshow at the end of this post with all my Vegas pics if you're interested. Tomorrow I will have a slideshow of all the cards & presents I got in the mail from everyone for my bday--thanks & big hugz to you all! I'll share some funny stories about my trip with you all next week too....
**EDITED--Riley (my son) was in the ER until 5 am this morning with a serious asthma attack--he has a really bad sinus infection, double ear infection & strep throat! Poor thing! Thanks to everyone who was cyber-holding my hand last nite since I couldn't be in the ER cuz' I have ear infections & strep myself & 104 temperature, ugh!!! Here's to getting everyone better!***

So my first card up is for my mom for Mother's Day (sorry mom it might be a lil' late, lol)!! I used my favorite Tilda of all time (cuz she's super-cute & holding my fave flowers) "Tilda w/ Tulips" that you can buy at Magnolia-licious! I used the Mojo Monday sketch #85 for my layout and the dp is some of favorite (I hoard it) from BoBunny! The sentiment is a rub-on from Dream Street papers and I used my MS butterfly punch too. The border is by Fiskars and the frame around Tilda is done with my Labels 3 Nestabilities. Isn't she just a cutie-pop?

My most favorite tulips are the ones that have a tinge of different color at the tips, so I colored my tulips like that & added diamond stickles on top. (her hair is done w/ these Copics E29, E25, E35)

Second card today uses a new Lockhart stamp "Patio Petunias"--yay--Susana's store has ALL the new Lockharts in stock & they are fabulous! (thanks Susana for my bday presents) I paired it up with my new Basic Grey's "Wisteria" dp (so pretty) and PTI's lavender moon cs & ribbon. I cut my images out with my Labels 4 Nestabilities--love this shape! I added some Kaiser pearls to the corners & that was it! Simple, elegant & lovely dontcha' think?

A close-up to show the iced lavender Shimmerz I used on the flower centers & gardening gloves! Love me my shimmerz!

Hope you have a wonderful Friday & I'll catch back up with you all tomorrow!!

My Top 10!

Happy Saturday everyone! Hope everyone had a safe & fun 4th of July! I am feeling better today, but still moving a little slower than normal. Tonight we're going to dinner and to see fireworks at our Club so hopefully the weather holds out. We went to see Wall-E last night, and if you haven't seen it--GO--its so cute and fun, I really liked it and so did my dh and kids. I am having quite a happy mail day today. I got all my new Magnolia stamps from Diana (thanks Diana), my Magnolia summer stamp club stamps, my new MFT stamps and last but not least I got all my new "Sarah Kay" stamps. Doesn't get better than that!! If you're interested in the Sarah Kay stamps you can check them out at Sweet 'n Sassy. If you want to order some Magnolias and can't wait for Diana's (from Scor-Pal) webshop to open, you can email her at magnolia.us@shaw.ca and she will tell you what she has in her inventory (she will also be carrying Copics--yippee).

I finally finished my card that I've been working on for the past 2 days--I won't even tell you how long it took me :) All stamped images (girl, clouds, house) are from Magnolia and the sentiment is from Verve Visual's "Wonderful Wishes Remixed". The lovely dp is from Heidi Grace called "daydream believer" and I lovee it, chocolate brown is my "new" black--lol! I paired it up with SU's choc. chip and ballet blue cs. Of course there are many layers in this one--I cut and stamped the girl, clouds & house separately and then restamped the stairs and door, cut them out & colored all w/ my Copics. The stairs, 1 cloud, girl and the house are popped up with dimensionals. The second door image( the cut-out one) I glued 2 paper door "hinges" to it and then glued it to the door on the house image--I then cut a piece of choc. chip cs to size and glued it over the hinges for the inside of the door so you don't see the inner workings-lol. If you have or have seen this house stamp you will know that over the door is a house number--I wanted my sentiment to be there instead so I stamped it out separately and popped it up there. The windows and door handle have Diamond Glaze on them for a nice glassy shine. There are stardust stickles on her wings, flowers and clouds for lots of sparkle! I added some design dots to the girls dress and highlights to her shoes, cheeks and windows with my Ranger Inkssentials pen. I am pleased as pie on how it turned out, hopefully you think so too!

Now for my Top 10 List--I have a lot of people email with questions concerning my favorite, can't live without products--so here goes (in no particular order):
1. my Carl RT-200 paper cutter from Staples
2. stickles (easy to use and under $2 a bottle)
4. Copics (love 'em-expensive but worth it)
5. Nestabilities by Spellbinders (use 'em everyday)
6. Cuttlebug (can't do w/o it)
7. Diamond Glaze (great for shine and as a clear adhesive)
8. Scotch's Quick-Dry Adhesive Glue (the only glue I use-I get mine at Michaels)
9. Ranger's Adirondack inkpads in Espresso & Pitch Black (quick dry & great w/ Copics)
10. Paper Trey Ink's White Cardstock (the best quality for stamping & coloring w/ Copics)

Of course I have other products I use regularly, but these are my most beloved and recommended!
Well, I hope you enjoyed my "long" post and have a great weekend!
Suzanne
