Shop Til' U Drop!!

Hello everyone & Happy Thursday to you all! I love short work weeks, means the weekend is that much closer right?  LOL--although I still have lots of prep work to get done, but I hope to take Sunday off to spend some time with my KINDLE finishing my awesome book I started :)  Alexa is off to the beach with a group of girlfriends this weekend and its supposed to be beautiful weather so she'll have lots of fun.  I'm just hoping my pointer finger on my right hand feels better soon---yesterday I was fixing my industrial stapler (the kind that go thru chipboard) and YES I sent a large staple thru my finger and almost out the other side---owwwwieeee!  It is still hurting me and it's totally what I call a "Suzanne Accident"!  I mean how dumb was I to hold my finger over the stapler hole, LMBO---geez, not real smart me thinks!  Dumb thing bled for an hour and swelled up like I got stung by a bee---and yes my tetanus shot is still good, lol!  But I don't have time for that so I wrapped it up real good and got on with my work and my typing AND the piles of paperwork from the kids schools sent home for me to fill out (ugh the worst I tell ya), hee hee!  So note to you all---don't DO WHAT SUZANNE DID, keep all fingies away from tools with holes that shoot out stuff!! :)

And back to school my kiddo's have gone and so far so good!  Alexa loves her new highschool and Riley was happy to see his friends in 7th grade!  I have some pictures below--since we've moved here I always take their pics in front of the front door and it's fun to look back to see how they've shot up and matured.   Riley has gained 8 inches since last fall and is now officially taller than his mom & wearing a size 11 shoe--egads!  When the heck did that happen--my baby is growing up quick I tell ya!  Below my NewsBitz I have a short slideshow of the kids before school the first day and some pics of Alexa cheering at the football game last night!  Enjoy!

NewsBitz:

-I have a few new locations going up for my Color Me Creative Classroom "On The Road"--including Greensboro, NC and CT!  Stay tuned for those!  Also if you are close to the Medford Area of Long Island, NY we'd love to see you in the class in October!!

-SCACD has some awesome new products in stock including these COOL NEW BUTTON machines by Epiphany Crafts (I've got some coming to meeeee), awesome new Spellbinders (love those beaded circles) and Holiday Papers here!

-Work your way to the end of the post to win some shopping goodies of your own!!

Shop Til' U Drop!!

I have a confession for ya, hee hee---- I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE to SHOP! LOL!  Although these days I'm more of an internet shopper because (1) I can do it in my pjs (2) I can shop late at night (3) I don't have to fight crowds/traffic KWIM!  But I am definitely a marathon shopper when I have the time, lol!  So this card and project fit me to a "T"!  I have been dying to use this "Tilda Goes Shopping" from Magnolia-licious (and she's in stock too) since I got her and I had seen this fabulous template for a shopping bag/purse tote on Lauren Meader's blog and knew they would go together perfectly!  And I pulled out more of those yummy My Mind's Eye "Lost & Found" papers to use (yes I got all the color stories they offered cuz' I am a MME's addict, lol)!

And I'm staying true to my word and entering this into some challenges!  Two of the main ones are the SCS sketch (see link below) and the Moxie Fab World Challenge which was a inspiration picture challenge of red lipsticks above.  I don't wear red lipstick (it makes me look goth, lol) but I love pink lipstick and it reminds me of the fab cosmetic counters at the malls which MEANS SHOPPING like my project below!!  Also entering the Fab'n'Funky Challenges which is to create anything you like--fun!

So to create a fun city-like scene for my "Tilda Goes Shopping" I also used this fun Magnolia stamp called "Edwin's Town" which I'm sure Diana will be restocking  (Houses on the Street stamp would be cute too--see here).  My sketch is from yesterday's SCS sketch #297 which was a fun one and perfect for larger sized images.  The fun lil' sentiment is from one of my fave Gina K sets called "Retro Boutique" and no card of mine is finished until it gets some of my fave Marianne Designs scrolls on it, LOL!  The background was embossed with a new "CB folder set "Heritage" which I just love!

Tilda was of course colored with copics (R02,R00,R0000/C5,C3,C2,C1,C00/hair:E25,E31,E50).  I colored "Edwin's Town" as well but I kept the colors very, very light and soft so Tilda would really stand out--the windows are all stickled too!  I added stickles to Tilda's one shopping bag and then gave the other pink polka-dots for fun!  Tilda's boots & locket have diamond glaze on them and then I used my Viva Decor Pearl Pen in white to give her a pearl necklace.

This cute shopping tote was made using a My Time Made Easy template called "Tote-All Package" by Lauren Meader.  If you've never been to her blog or her store site you are MISSING OUT!  She was one of the first blogs I followed 3 years ago and she continues to pack in tons of great projects on her site.  This template is in her store and you can print the pdf file or a SVG cut file for your cutting machines after you buy it---very easy to make!  After I cut out both of my tote panels from my pink cs I embossed them with my CB "Heritage" folder and used my fave Scor-Tape to put it all together (lovee that stuff).  Then I added a panel of cs from MME--it already had the cool glittery border attached to it (score)!!  I gave it some ribbon handles and a bow and added some more fun scrolls and a button to finish it all off nicely.  This would be so cute filled with lots of yummy treats, gift cards or other medium sized treasures--its a nice size!

Since I'm unable to pull together myself and some awesome blog candy for my million hits (maybe I'll save it for December and make it REALLY BIG whatcha' think) I will continue to give away candy at least once a week!!

**So this week I'm giving away a $10 gift certificate to My Time Made Easy (you can get 2 templates with that or a stamp set) AND a Marianne Designs Die Scroll set AND a Shopping Tilda stamp!

So tell me "WHAT WAS YOUR MOST EXPENSIVE SHOPPING PURCHASE THAT MAYBE MADE YOU FEEL A BIT GUILTY or JUST GIDDY, lol?" and whether this is a 2 thumbs up or not project, lol!  Leave me a note by Sunday night on this post only to win!!

Have a great Thursday!

  1. HI Suzanne, love your project today especially the colour scheme so soft & beautiful. I love the Lauren Meader tote bag too - you are both so clever.

My biggest spend that left me feeling giddy & guilty was when I purchased my Pazzles Inspiration Cutter without talking about it first with my hubby - oops.

Thanks for an amazing chance to win

  2. Suzanne OMG she is just adorable, I love the colors and your little shopping bag is just to die for....yep I can see her leaving that craft store :)

My biggest shopping spree was my pink wishblade....got it the day it released on HSN and have never had a regret...however if I total all these copics up I think I am past it KWIM, only they did not happen all at once :)

  3. Let's see, I think my giddy/guilty purchase might have been when I bought a very expensive handbag on a whim while waiting for a flight in the Dallas/Fort Worth airport. Darn those layovers! I was so excited that I went into the airport bathroom and totally cleaned out my old handbag of anything worth keeping and chucked it just so I could use the new one.

  4. When Steve & I were young kids starting out we purchased a brand new Ski Natique boat. It was wonderful and so much fun. Then a few years later we had our son and the boat went bye...bye. It was the best though. We have a ton of lakes around and I loved it. We skied in both summer & fall weather using wet & dry suits. When you come to the Seattle are to hold your class I can show you the lakes...HINT, hint :) :)

  14. OMG! So nice color added, so the whole card is so beautiful.
You are so good at bringing color with Copics, it's so impressive to look at.
I myself am a beginner with Copics painted with Distress ink otherwise.
And it's hard to get to know all the colors.
I wonder what you had for the Blue Tilda's pants and shoes and pink on her blouse? Want to help me with them colors? Thanks for all the good that you show and do.
    Hugs from Sweden and Camilla.

  16. Oh Suzanne, don't you want to come and visit us in South Africa... I would just love to attend your colouring course. This must be the most beautiful colour of jeans I have seen in a long time. It's fantastic and pink is my fave colour, so the combo is very appealing. Just love this project. Love that shopping bag... now that I have a taste for internet shopping, I'm with you girl! Just love it!!! Well done... hugs Sharon

  17. Most definitely "2 Thumbs Up" for this project, especially that adorable card!! Your color choices always knock me over they're so perfect. Love how this all just comes together....what an awesome job! And, you're right, Lauren's got a great blog and comes up with great bag/gift holders, you name it; she's one creative young woman!!!

My most expensive, guilty purchase was a Gucci handbag. I'm a handbag fanatic so I splurged!! And like you, I'd rather shop online than in the stores.....

  18. Cute projects. Love the card. The gift bag would have to be for someone extra special!!

My most over the top purchase ever...... Buying a Nissan 350z convertible 5 minutes after the test drive.
( It was used and I had wanted one for a long time. )

  19. Two thumbs up - absolutely! LOVE your projects today. The color combo is perfect and that shopping bag is too cute!

The expensive item I bought was a leather chase couch in a beautiful blue. It was very expensive and I had never spent that much on a piece of furniture before. Right after I bought it, I lost my job. When it was delivered, instead of enjoying it, I had a terrible stomach ache!

  20. What a cutie pie that Magnolia is!!! My most expensive shopping purchase was one year I went to Disney World and bought $1,000 worth of Christmas ornaments!!!! Every year when I put those ornaments on my tree, it still puts the biggest smile on my face!

    ReplyDelete
  21. mine would have to be my cricut. I did save money over time though but it still hurt when I paid for it. Lol. Love your project!

  22. I just bought a cricut cake...Yikes I already have the cricut and 40 cartridges. What was I thinking?

    ReplyDelete
  23. So cute, love the handbag with it!

My most expensive shopping trip would be my coach bag! I wanted a new coach, I figured about 250 I would spend, but my eyes got locked on this Purple (yes purple) Leather Bag...OMG it was gorgeous, but it was $495 bucks! I love my bag, but boy did I feel guilty paying that much for a handbag..not my usual style. I am a Dillards/Macy clearance handbag kinda girl! LOL

  25. Suzanne, What a pretty card and bag. I didn't feel guilty at the time about buying it but after my cricut sat unused for a year and a half i kind of did. I guess the problem is I don't really know how to use it that well. Thanks for the opportunity to win. I too am a faithful follower of Lauren's blog. She is great.

  26. Suzanne, This is definetely a 2 thumbs up project! My most outrageous shopping was on HSN. I am a QVC fan, but HSN has all the crafty stuff and I spent 1,000 on crafts and supplies. It was Christmas when the man in the brown truck showed up and I had a BLAST!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Wow! Love the project! Definite 2 thumbs up! So many uses too.
My guilt and giddy expensive and way off budget purchase was a trip to France for a river cruise as a high school graduation present for my daughter. It's just the 2 of us and we had gone thru alot of loss in our lives and illness issues during her high school years so i just went for it! And it was fabulous!! so certainly no regrets...just a ton of agonizing while making the decision!
Love your site and am looking forward to a class, in either LI or CT!
    Thanks so much!

  29. I love your card and tote...all thumbs up and gorgeous!
My most guilty purchase was back a couple of years ago when The Cricut first aired on HSN. It was after midnight and I had taken an ambien to sleep. I was in my craft room and started watching the debut. The next thing I know it's morning. As I am getting ready to go to work I notice a piece paper in my printer tray. I picked it up and saw I had ordered the Cricut! I had no recollection of doing it!! My husband still tells this story at all social events!! He always gets a good laugh.

  30. This week I spent $300.00 on copics to add to my collection. Still feel a little guilty, but I'm sure that will all pass once I get in my craft room and play a little bit!!lol
Love your little bag and your shopping scene...you always amaze me!

  32. Suzanne, of course this is a two thumbs up project!! What a great card and bag combo...love the colours in this set! As always, your colouring is so pretty.

Hmmm...I would have to say that my first purchase of Copic markers (sets A, B and C of the Ciao) had me completely over-the-top-giddy! (I only felt guilty until I started colouring with them...just pure bliss after that! lol)I'm a very conservative spender...a tad on the frugal side some may say! So this was a big purchase for me!

Thanks so much for offering such lovely (and generous) blog candy...I am loving those dies!

  34. Just darling...definitely a two thumbs up. I've had that stamp on my wish list for a while...and your coloring and composition really give Tilda a great punch. I love how you did the houses in the background in soft colors not to compete with Tilda. My biggest purchase was a tent camper for our family. We were looking at used ones but ended up getting a brand new one at a great price. It left me sick in the bottom of my stomach for a couple days...but have had years of happy memories in it since then.

  38. Suzanne I just love your card and the stamp is to die for!! I only own 2 Tilda stamps and I am hooked.

My biggest purchase that I felt guilty about was my Cricut Expression. DH came home from work one day and said I had to check out a website someone told him about. He proceeded to buy me the expression and some other things. I am used to buying for everyone but never feel I deserve it. My DH told me I deserved it and I have enjoyed it ever since.

Thanks for sharing your card and the opportunity to win this amazing prize.

  39. You pick such classy colors to mesh together! You are definitely a trendsetter.
The most expensive purchase I remember making that I had to fight guilt over...was Polish pottery in Poland. My friend and I went while stationed in Germany, and I thought it would be my only trip. I had never bought "pretty dishes" before...but bought 10 plates, 10 bowls, 10 ramekins, three ornaments and two huge laundry style baskets. I am sure there were a few vases thrown in there too. Yikers! But, it was a wonderful investment and huge distraction from my husband being deployed. Never mind that I dragged three children under the age of 6 with me. LOL. My husband was staring at a kitchen of Polish pottery when he got back.

  40. OMGosh Suzanne, this bag and card set is just to deelishlee cute! The color combo and your coloring is what makes it so gorgeous! Love that pink/gray combo...soft and elegant. 41. Absolutely 2 thumbs up!!! I just love it, the colors are so soft and beautiful! I love checking your blog for your new projects and to see what you have been coloring!!

My biggest splurge that left me feeling giddy and a bit guilty is my COACH bag I bought while in Austin a couple of months ago...I never ever spend that kind of money on 1 item let alone something for me!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Darn..I don't thing my comment posted.

I love the color combination and the cute little bag. I love little shopping bags, especially when there is something in it for me...lol

I really felt guilty about buying my Cricut Expression machine, even though I saved up for it. I almost took it back because I felt so guilty. Didn't last long though, cracked that baby open and although I haven't used it as much as I can I am sure, I have used it.

Would love to win...Suzanne help me get my crafting mojo back on track. I have neglected it too long.

  43. Firstly, I love this, it's just awesome!!! Secondly, thanks for all the links, but this is like my third time back here cause I keep getting sidetracked by them, lol Of course if I wasn't such a doof and pressed the back button instead of the close button it wouldn't be so time consuming. Anyway, I def, def love this, that bag is fabulous and those papers are stunning and of course you fab coloring, ummm don't think I can say anything more!! I think my(well hubbys) most expensive purchase for me was my new Canon D7...before I could even get it out, he looked and me and said "you're not taking it back!"... I love it! Thanks for sharing this! Have a great day!

  46. The card is awesome - love the color combo of pink & gray. Most expensive item: we just had all new windows and doors replaced in our house. 18 windows and 2 doors with side panels to match! Of course we also needed new front lights, doorbells and address numbers. They do look gorgeous. This purchase made me more giddy than if I bought clothes or jewelry for myself!

My biggest shopping spree - hmm, need to think - I don't shop often - at least not BIG shopping trips. BUT, I would say my most favorite purchase was when I bought my husband a mustang convertible for his 50th birthday. OH, that was SO fun and he was SO surprised!!! Yep - it was a surprise purchase. Still loves driving that car!!

My biggest "in the moment" splurge was a house. Hubby and I were out for a Sunday drive when we spotted a cute little cottage open house. A quick walk thru was all it took and whamo we had to have it. No regrets though, many happy family memories.

  55. I would say this is a 5 thumbs up project - don't have 5 thumbs so I'll use 5 fingers. Love the card, little purse and colors. What a great match they all are. My most expensive shopping trip by far was when I bought my very first brand new car on my own. It was a little scary (thinking about the payments)and did make me feel a little giddy too. Hugs to you :o)

My guilty shopping was when I went to scrapbooking Expo, I never seen so many rubberstamps all in one place. So I just couldn't resist.Lately I could only buy my stamps from internet stores because where I live there are no stamps stores only scrapbooking and their stamps are limited. But I just loved what a got and add some copics to color them.

  59. It is definitely 2 thumbs up!! (Actually it is probably more like 4 or 5 thumbs.)My last trip to Las Vegas I splurged on an expensive purse and felt very guilty. So guilty that I make sure I pull the thing out of the closet and use it every few months or so! :)

  60. Shopping Tilda is perfect! I'm afraid I'm too much of a shopping Tilda myself! My last splurge was at CKC-Charlotte, and I came home with a ton of Heartfelt Creations, Tattered Angels and ordered the new Spellbinder machine and dies.

Hmm... my most expensive purchase (there are so many) but I guess my Cricut was expensive at the time they first came out and I did feel a bit guilty buying it for myself lol! hugs, Angela

  64. My most guilty purchase was taking a loan against my retirement funds to pay cash for a car! After that, everything pales, doesn't it? My next major splurge was at a fabric store in NYC, Jerry Brown's, and I went crazy on his silk tweeds!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Hope you take good care of your owieeeeeeee! Makes me cringe just to hear about it!
2 thumbs up for your project - great use of 'everything'!
I have to admit that everytime I go to 'The Merri Artist' I spend at least $100 on, yes you guessed it, more Copics and refills (no guilt here...these are a necessity! Hoever, my biggest guilt would be buying a 'small Cricut', then 30 different cartridges (not all at once) and then finding it did no wok and having to send it back to Provocraft for replacement...then it got shipped to the wrong place by UPS, finally got it back and have only used it ONCE! Major guilt! LOL (still prefer to do my own cutting!)

Well, I went out looking for a Mother of the Groom dress and ater carefully looking at about a dozen stores decided to take hubby. I really wanted one of them that was $800.00 but told him it was to expensive and that I also liked one that was about $250 but wanted him to at least see the other one so I took him there first and LAST>> He loved it and we never even looked at another dress...

My last "guilty" purchase was my gypsy - and I have had no regrets! Even my Hubby wanted me to have it and encoraged me to stay up on launch night and get it at 1 am.

  69. You go girl..............! Two thumbs up all the way! My biggest purchase was when I jump in feet first and purchased a computer..... I knew nothing about it and I am still learning, but have no regrets! Was excited and nervous all at the same time!

  70. Love, love, love your projects! You are such an inspiration. With your help, I can strive to conquer those Copics. I have spent too much money for things many times in my life and I always get a little flutter in my stomach and feel a little guilty, but so happy and thankful to be able to have so many wonderful things in my life.

    ReplyDelete
  71. First, your project is absolutely 2 thumbs up (more if I had them). Love all of the detail on the card and the purse.
I felt really guilty about my first Copics purchase. I had just started into cards and wanted to try the copics. Of course you can't just buy a couple so I started out with about 30. They make a tremendous difference in my card making. I now have 77 and don't feel guilty at all when I buy more.
Thanks for the chance to win!

  72. This is most definitely a two thumbs up project. How about a full ten! Love the bag and the Tilda. Who doesn't love Tilda. I have to say that my guilty trip was a "trip" to the Gina K web site. I bought lots of stuff and then felt guilty afterward. But my wonderful DH never even mentioned it when the Discover bill came. What a sweetie. I honestly think I should stop feeling guilty about buying craft stuff. DU just bought a $14,000 tractor and I've never spent that much on craft supplies (at least at one time. LOL!) Have a wonderful weekend!

  73. Great job on your creative thumb stapling! You should have at least had attached a ribbon or something to it! lol I'm sure it hurts horribly and I hope it heals soon! I'm just going to die if I don't win this time! That Tilda is soooo cute and your project! UBER ADORABLE!!! If I had a thousand thumbs, that is what you would get, of course, mine don't have holes in them though! ;) I'm such a frugle shopper that I think the thing that I spent the most on that made me feel giddy and possibly guilty was the matching bedroom set I have. I've had them for 8 years and I still smile slyly when I look at them! (is slyly even a word? lol) Anyway, I do LOVE your card & bag. They are too gorgeous!
    Blessings!

  74. Over my adult years, I have so many purchases I have felt guilty about there is not enough time or space for write them all. Some how it all works out in the end.

  75. I love this card and tote! The colors are awesome. I love how the building are NOT the same colors of the card!

I have two splurges in life...one I spent almost all of my life saving to get (but it was a GREAT deal)...and the other was THE BEST thing I ever bought!

I had wanted a Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer for years. When a great sale came along and I made a deal that was absolutely fabulous ($17,000 off the sticker!!! HELLO!!!!) I wrote the check and bought it! Biggest check I ever wrote for a guilty splurge!!!! Broke after...but happy!

But the BEST (GIDDY) splurge I ever made came in my late 20's. I had just broken up with the love of my life, was going to school at night, and SO NOT happy about either! I went into a pet store and found a lhasa apso. I played with her every day for a week and on the last day, she looked at me as if to say "unless you buy me, I am NOT playing today". So, I said to her" Fine, I'll take you home". She ran to me wagging her tail. I spent my tuition money that night on a dog I named Jazz. She was the best dog in the world...and lives on in the form of a vanity plate (on the Eddie Bauer that I will own for life cuz I can't afford another car!)...and my email address is about her too! I tell people...the Music in my life is Jazz! My friends know EXACTLY what I mean!!!

Thanks for this question...this was a feel good one!

  78. Definitely a two thumbs up project. It is absolutely magnificent, beautiful, as usual! My latest guilty purchase (still feeling a little guilty) was five Tim Holtz Alteration Dies and three textured fades folders; and just to top it off 24 Copic Ciaos! Would you say I am also a shopping addict?

  79. Wowzers Suzanne, this is definitely a 2-thumbs up project!! I hate to say it, but my most expensive splurge recently was on scrapbooking stuff! My hubby gave me a huge budget (lets just say it was close to our mortgage payment) and I probably blew it all within a week! Hate to say it, but can you believe there are still things on my "want" list?!! Hugs, Rosemary :)

  82. Hi Suzan,

This is really gorgeous, I lovbe the soft colors you used :-)
I think my most expensive shopping at the moment is papers and stamps, I can't stop to buy them and I have lots that I still haven't used...
Other than that, I spend rather a lot of money in my clothes. Love one brand called "Mais il est ou le soleil", it's a belgian creator and I love it ^^

  84. I absolutely love your Shopping bag and card it is so cute! The colors are perfect as usual and one day I hope to be able to create mine just like yours (or as close to it as I can).

My most expensive shopping trip was my copic purchase which was over 300.00 and I had to keep it a secret :-) but that's ok I deserve it LOL I have so much fun playing with my markers. I have even taken a couple of classes and when my family asks where I am going I tell them "I am going to learn how to color" and they all laugh :-)

Thanks for the chance to win some awesome candy :-)

  86. OMG Suzanne...could you be any more talented?! (Well, except for that staple thing!) This project is amaaaaazzzzing! I just love the soft colors...you're scary talented! Hint: stay away from mechanical objects!! Especially ones with sharp staples in them!!

  87. First of all, your project is AWESOME! I have always wanted to purchase Magnolia Stamps but everytime I look at them I can't decide, they are all so cute! As for my biggest splurge, Lord there are so many! Of course there are my copics, I'll buy 20-30 at a time!! I would say my biggest splurge to date though is my weekend Disney trip that is coming up in October. A friend and I just decided that we wanted to go and so we're going!

  88. Hi, Probably my biggest purchase that I loved and felt guilty about was my Cricut. I give your project a thumbs up, the purse/bag is amazing! Also, I was curious which amazing book you were reading. I always find lots of new good books, when you tell us what you are reading or ask us to tell you! Have a great day.

  89. Wow! Only wish I had more thumbs to put up! totally awesome, as usual.

I have to say that my most expensive/giddy shopping moment was my copics, I had been following your blog and really really wanted to try them. However, I am one of those 'in for a penny, in for a pound' folks, so I couldn't just stop at a couple.. oh NO... I had to have them all. And as a single parent of two (6 & 8) I FELT super guilty/giddy. but I LOVE my copics!
    thanks

  90. Tilda Shopping is beautiful. You are an inspiration. The biggest splurg has to all my crafting items. I keep seeing more things that I need.

  91. Your creations are just stunning Suzanne- defo a two thumbs up from me, if I had more thumbs, they would all be up!!! I adore the soft pink colours you used and that CB folder has to go on my ever increasing wish list! My biggest purchase is probably my Pilates machine, closely followed by my Promarkers - I know which i'd rather use lol!

    ReplyDelete
  92. Suzanne, your project is fabulous! Love the colors you used; so soft and feminine! My biggest splurge was about 15 years ago when I was getting a divorce and bought myself a diamond bracelet! I felt that I deserved it at the time, but now I feel guilty because I never wear it!

  93. I nearly felt guilty a year ago when I hopped online and purchase an AccuQuilt Go! die cutter. It was $359.00 before shipping. I didn't even shop around for it. I saw the AD in a sewing magazine and ba-da-bing, ba-da-boom I bought the rascal. I love it and it's wonderful for cutting out multi-layers of fabric shapes. I made a lap quite in a few hours after I opened it.
Other than that large purchase I haven't bought something that expensive since then. geeze... it must be time to go shopping.
OH.. it's a two thumbs up project!

  97. I love this tote, so very pretty!!! I would have to say my guilty purchase was my Cricut...I stood and looked at it, picked it up and put it down, then by Hubby walked over, picked it up and walked to the cash with it, I had guilt for a couple of weeks over it, but still love my Cricut.

    ReplyDelete
  98. OMGosh Suzanne! (do I start every comment post like that? LOL) But seriously......that is just the cutest card & purse. I give it ten thumbs up!!!! (me & 4 friends......hahaha) I love pink & gray together. I reminds me of a pink skirt I made in HS Home Ec. (too many years ago) & I paired it with something gray (I can't for the life of me remember what it was....LOL). Anywho....I digress..........I love love love that stamp! Soooo cute!

My most giddy shopping spree actually included my hubby. We were in Hawaii & watched an infomercial in our hotel room. It was a FABulous juicer & we just HAD to have it. Something we never, ever, ever do! LOL But we were on such a HIGH from the tropical air that we just had to have it. After we got home & realized what we had done & how much work it was to clean & how much fruit & veggies it took to make a jigger full of juice......LOL.......we sent it back. LOL

Anywho........thanks for the walk down memory lane.

    Huggies ~

  100. Just lovely as always!
I broke down and cried when I parted with a hansom sum of money for a Viking Husvarna top of the line sewing / embroidery machine. I had never spent so much on myself ( other than a car) in all my life. The tears were tears of joy, mixed up with why did I wait so long!

  101. 2 thumbs up for your project, ultra girly cute! It is hard to pinpoint a single shopping spree (there are too many! unfortunately) but it would have to be the Nikon camera, lenses and flash I got my daughter for her High School graduation.

  102. OMGosh Suzanne! Definitely a two thumbs up project! You know and I know how much I love Tilda and you have out done yourself on this one! I love the color combos and the purse is just to die for!!! I am definitely going to have to get Edwin's town and try this with this darling Tilda! I also want to try and recreate the purse! Thank you so much again for such great inspiration! You are a doll!
My most expensive purchase of late is finishing off my Copic markers complete with the new fluorescent ones! YIKES!!! I now have to work on getting all the refills and the airbrush system! I am dying to make these purchases but think hubby will KILL ME if I don't wait awhile! LOL!
    Big Hugs!

  104. Two thumbs up on your card. I love it.

  105. I think the "Tilda Goes Shopping" image is one of the cutest I have seen in the series! Your card is fabulous! I love Tilda outside the box and the town background is perfect! Truly a work of art. Tote is so cute, too! Definitely a two thumbs up project! Where do you find the time to do all of this!!

I used to have a passion for expensive handbags, but finally curbed that addiction. I don't splurge a lot anymore and tend to be on the more practical side. That is until I got interested in papercrafting! LOL!! I love internet shopping and I have wracked up some doozies lately to include a Canon wide-format printer, Photoshop software, scanner, Spellbinders dies, Cuttlebug and accessories, and all the tools, DP, and lovely embellishments I can get my hands on. As if that didn't make me feel guilty enough, now I'm in the process of placing a whopping order for Copic markers that just makes me queasy every time I think about it! Those are some pricey little markers, but have convinced myself I just have to have them!! Is there a cardmaker equivalent to AA???

  106. I love your bag you made (I collect purses) and your card is beautiful!

My last big splurge was a new 73" TV for my hubby (really the whole family), but boy did I get a bargain!!! Every time sit down to watch tv, I feel like I'm at the movie theater!

Thank you so much for sharing & the chance to win!!!

My biggest purchase and now looking back wishing I would have waited was the Original Cricut! When they first came out I had to have it and at any price. I paid an enormous price and wouldn't you know it they have had a few new and improved since then at crazy prices since. I never learn!!!

  108. I love your card, Tilda shopping is just perfect.

My last big splurge was a new laptop for me that will only be used for photo storage and editing. I do all my families photos. My 3 year old granddaughter has never had a professional photo taken, except by Gramma and I think I do a pretty professional job. I store all of my Digi images on that computer, so it's for my cards and scrapbooking also. I felt really guilty about spending money on a laptop just for me....that lasted about 2 minutes...lol.

  109. Your pink purse is just adorable. I love the embossing and the gorgeous grey satin ribbon! Definitely a 2 Thumbs up project for me!

My most expensive purchase that made me feel dizzy was all the shopping I did at the Creating Keepsakes convention in Charlotte in August. I had a budget - but we all know how that goes, don't we????!!!! :)

  112. Well Suzanne, I am one of those rare women who HATE shopping, especially for clothes! However needs to make one HAVE to visit the stores. My OMG what have we done feeling came about buying our 1st new vehicle, a van, to transport kids around. It cost 1/2 as much as our 1st (and only) house so it certainly gave me a queazy stomach:)
Secondly, love the card, Tilda stamps are so cute!!!

  113. I really like your coloring and the shopping bag is oh, so cute! I just pre-ordered a Tim Holtz new Vagabond electric cutter. I thought and thouoght about about long and hard before I finally decided to do it, but now I'm having second thoughts as I already have the Big Shot and the Cuttlebug. But I have trouble sometimes with the sandwich with each of them and he made this look so easy...... Ok, I'm a big pushover. Thanks for sharing your blog with us, I find it very helpful.

  114. Love your card. My most expensive purchase was made last month while we were in IL. We were passing through and I notice that there was a scrap/stamp shop in Maltoon, IL I told my hubby I just wanted to see what they had. I walked out with about $200 less in my bank account. My hubby said he was not letting me go to IL again!!!

  118. I hope your finger feels better, Suzanne! I was leaning on my desk in my classroom teaching one day when I placed my index and middle fingers inside my stapler (it was behind me( and didn't realize I had done it until I accidentally leaned on the top and stapled my two fingers together! Talk about trying to keep cool in front of 30 nine year olds!

I am so bad - I often indulge. The older I get, the less I care, though. Is that bad? LOL Something that came to mind was a $350 pale grey suede skirt I bought. It is beautiful and as soft as can be. I just had to have that skirt! Did I need it - no. Did I get it - yes! I-N-D-U-L-G-E-N-T!!!

Hope your finger feels better! Have a great Sunday!
