RRRRAnimal Time!!

Howdy friends and a Happy Friday to you all! Wow, we were smoking up the Color Me Creative Classroom last night with our rockin' party--thought the site might crash, lol! It was FAST-paced fun and a total blast--thanks to all the gals who came last night and hope you had fun! I'm resting my fingers today because I typed so much I got cramps, hee hee! Over 60 gals made it to the party and won lots of fabulous prizes--if you haven't joined the site or the CMC Challenge Group yet, whaddya waiting for? LOL--come on it's free and you can win prizes, meet friends and learn stuff too!!

I am finishing editing & shooting videos today that will be shared with you all next week (one today tho!) and then I'm taking some of the weekend off to relax a bit and get some reading done and maybe some pool lounging.  It's super sunny here which I'm loving and I have no sports practices to run kids to today!  My daughter is off to the Outer Banks until Monday with a friend so it's just the 3 of us.  We're thinking about going to our club on Saturday night for Movie Night Under the Stars--Raiders of the Lost Ark is playing and we told Riley he could bring a friend.  We LOVE Indiana Jones movies here so it should be fun!!  A weekend full of good weather and rest I hope is called for me thinks, both for me and for all of you too!

Zebra Bling!!

Today I have a super fun project to share with you featuring my favorite animal print EVER!!  Does it look like my blog or what?  LOL!  I just love it, hee hee!  How did I do it--check my video below to see exact instructions!

This is also for the Try It Out Thursday Challenge #81 this week!  It's been awhile since I've been able to participate in this challenge and I apologize for that--I've had tons of things going on and just wasn't able to get my challenge "on", LOL!  But I'm back and I'm super excited to share my card with you today!

I FINALLY got to play with that awesome Dreamweaver Paste (in translucent) and I was thrilled to death that it was so EASY and FUN to use.  I paired it up with this fun zebra print stencil by Crafter's Workshop HERE--you spread a thin layer of this paste on like icing a cake, peel your stencil up and let it dry.  Before the paste dried I added some bling to it with two colors of Martha Stewart glitter (tinsel glitter and extra fine--which is on SALE HERE).  I did my stencil right on my black cardstock so I'd still have those awesome zebra stripes.  The bling swirls are by Zva Creative and then I layered a few fun Prima flowers and topped them off with rhinestones. The sentiment is by PTI that I cut out with my SB's nestabilities "Labels 9" (on SALE 25% off HERE)--I traced the outline of the die onto my cardstock with my black Copic Spica pen for an extra frame and bit of sparkle.

Hope you enjoyed this fun animal print bling-a-rama as much as I did!  Try out some of these new products--they're EASY, FUN and FABULOUS and you won't be disappointed!

Zebra Feather Arrows!!

Hi everyone and welcome to a brand new week!  Hope you had a fabulous weekend!  Ours was nice but busy and now it seems that I have a nasty sinus infection and a touch of the flu--blech!  So I hope to get some projects done in between laying on the couch today, lol!  And I've got magazine projects to get done, I need to whip myself back into shape quickly, I HATE being sick!  My daughter's 14th birthday is this week on the 25th so she's having a sleepover with a few friends--OUTSIDE--in a tent, LMBO!  My non-nature-adventure daughter sleeping outside--we'll see how long it lasts, lol!  I'll make a bet with you that it doesn't last very long--in fact if you leave me a comment today on this post with "the time you think my daughter & friends come crawling back in the house"--the closest person to the actual time will win a $25 gift certificate to Emma's Paperie on me, hee hee!  (shhh..don't tell her I have this bet though, lol)  And what she'll love even more is us going camping for Memorial Day Weekend--we haven't told her yet--when we do you'll hear her scream, lol---no electronics, no facebook, no showers--she just LOVES it!

Magnolia-licious Blog Hop!!

Today the Magnolia-licious DT has a fun blog hop for you and we've all used the same stamp "Right Through My Heart" from Magnolia-licious. You can find all the blog hop details (including how to join in on the fun for some fabulous prizes) on the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog HERE.  I decided I wanted to go over to the WILD SIDE with this stamp to show how you can use it for a multi-tude of things!  This time it's funky fun using my favorite animal print and colors (hmmm....matches my craftroom, coincidence I think NOT, lol) for a card and a fun matching purse!!

So I pulled out some zebra paper from my stash and my favorite colored cs from PTI (aqua mist) to create a WILD SIDE card!  I had bought a bag of feathers from the craft store awhile back, so I was happy to see some black feathers were included.  I distressed the edges of my zebra paper then skewed the layers for a more funky look--not so perfect!!  The sentiment is from PTI's Handwritten Notes" which is one of my faves and it says "Listen to the whispers of your heart"--dontcha' just love that! And the big bow was made with my Bow Easy.  Those black pearls were made with my black pearl pen from Viva Decor--I love making my own pearls whatever size I need them to be and you can use the Gloss Gel Pens to create pearls as well (see here for both).

This stamp is so cute--I love Tilda as a little warrior, but when you stamp her she doesn't have an arrow in her hand thru the bow! Strange huh--so I made her an arrow with a toothpick that I colored with my black copic and attached some white feathers to the end of the arrow.  I also restrung her bow with a scrap of Scrappers Floss.  The bow was coated with diamond glaze for some shine.  I also colored her lil' bag of arrows like zebra print and then gave it a coat of diamond glaze as well (and there are a lot of stickles thrown in too).  Hey, my warrior gal is FUNKY FABULOUS!!

And lemme tell ya there is nothing better than a funky fabulous ZEBRA PURSE to go along with the card (yes, I know I have a few real ones myself, hee hee).  You can find a great purse template on the Scor-Pal site HERE.  My purse has a magnetic closure so you could add some small treats and gifts or a gift certificate inside.  I added some more fun feathers, a Prima pearl center to the closure and ribbon handle.  I had a ton of fun creating this project and I hope you had fun viewing it too!

Now for the next stop of this fabulous Blog Hop you need to hop over to Becca's Blog HERE (her post goes up at 6 am est)--so if you are hopping before 6 am make sure and stop back by her blog cuz' she always have something fabulous for you to see.  While you're waiting hop on over to Claudia's blog HERE.  And don't forget to stop by the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog to see the rest of the hop details and join in on the fun!!

Have fun hoppin' and I'll see you back here tomorrow with a Gina K Blog Hop!!

Wild Things!!

Happy Thursday everyone--can you hear the weekend calling, lol??!! I sure can and Spring Break starts on Saturday for my kids--they're excited, but mom isn't so much! They're fine the first few days and then they get on each other's nerves (including mine, lol) and we're all ready for school to start again! But we'll try and have some fun in between all the arguing too, LOL! We'll head to DC to see the Cherry Blossoms & visit the re-opened US History Smithsonian and walk around--always fun! The kids want to go see "Monsters vs. Aliens" and we'll go out to lunch!!

And we're heading to my Mom's house next Friday for the weekend to celebrate Easter--now that the kids are older they're not really into the Easter Egg hunts anymore :o( so we'll hang out at Grama's house instead!!!

So today I have a few "SASSY Wild Thang" projects for ya just for fun!!! Love zebra print & double love hot pink & black together---

Yes, I said only one project today but I fibbed, lol!! I couldn't help myself and had to play with some of my fun stuff that hasn't been pulled out in awhile. My Bellas have been sad cuz' its been over 6 months since I've inked them up!! My sweet friend Jacque (thanks again!!) sent me some fun zebra print goodies a bit ago, cuz' she knows how I LOVE & ADORE all things zebra print :o) She sent me this fun zebra ribbon, some zebra headbands and a purse for my daughter (pics to come soon)--she rocks!!!

So I pulled out my Stamping Bella "Huggybellas" and created away. I had picked up a couple of these fun velvet zebra covered journals to alter quite awhile ago (story of my life, hee hee) and pulled one out to gussy up. The zebra brads are from Gina K, sentiments are from Hero Arts and PTI. Such a fun, cool gift for a mom, sister or girlfriend! I might have to make one for myself :o) But this one is up for sale on my Etsy site if you're interested in it!!! (link on sidebar)

Second card uses another new stamp set from H&M Stamps (drawn by my bud Debbie Corbari) called "Petals of Friendship"! I doublestamped my flowers (with the inside & outline stamps) and added some black stickles to the center of them! The yummy dp is by DoveCraft called "Hint of Pink" paired up with PTI's "Raspberry Fizz" cs! This layout is this week's SCS sketch #222--so fun & versatile and my button embellishment was inspired by Michelle Wooderson (Mish Mash), she makes so many great button embellies!! What a fun & funky Mother's Day card!!

**TEASER NEWS--Susana of Susana's Custom Art & Card Design(SCACD) will be having some AWESOME BLOG CANDY up on her store blog HERE starting Monday, April 6th! The prize up for grabs---a handsigned print by illustrator/artist Elisabeth Bell! You won't want to miss it!!

Hope you enjoyed the SASSY projects today!

hugz,
Suzanne
