It's a 2fer!!

Hello friends--how are you all!!?  We got 16 more inches of snow yesterday and winds of 45 mph---blizzard conditions indeed, it's nasty outside I tell ya!  The Federal Govt is closed, no metro, no buses, no school and people's neighborhoods haven't even seen plows yet so many, many people are stuck in their homes with no way to get out!  This is as bad as it gets I think---I'm miserable---I need sun ya know!  I'm sick of being inside with my family, LOL--we're all getting on each other's nerves at this point :o)  We watched movies, watched tv, done work and played games and now we're just plain bored!  And I'm praying (and please pray with me, hee hee) that Riley's birthday presents get delivered before Friday--I ordered them online last week and so far we haven't gotten any mail yet.  He'll be sooo upset if he doesn't have any presents to open and I'll feel like the worst parent evah!  He has 4 friends coming over Friday afternoon for a slumber party and hubby is taking them to play at an indoor Laser Tag place Friday evening.  And I'm sure they'll be sledding as well since the snow isn't going anywhere anytime soon :o)  And I've got 2 holiday cards to share with you today--so it's a 2fer kinda day!!

Did you watch that awesome Super Bowl on Sunday? (sorry for all you Colts fans, lol)  Did you love the commercials?  The one below is my favorite and very representative of my sick humor, lol--it cracks me up I tell ya!  I liked the one with Betty White too :o)

-7 Kids College Fund now has the Brand New "Tim Holtz" Cuttlebug Folders up for pre-order HERE!  I gotta get my hands on a few of those!

Doesn't this image just make ya go "Awwwww...."--that's right say it with me, hee hee!  This cutie pie bunny couple is "Two Cute Rabbits" by Penny Johnson for Stampavie!  I love her images!  I created a patchwork quilt with some heart dp I had and white cardstock that I ran thru my Swiss Dots CB folder.  The bunnies were colored with copics (C5,C3,C2,C1) and then I had to add some Sparkle Fluff in white to their bunny tails!  That fun bow in her hair is one of many that I picked up at the Consumer Show at CHA --I think it's so cute and I finished it off with some pearls in the corners.  Perfect card for my hubby for this Sunday's Valentine's Day :o)

NEW Pink Cat Studio Digi Release

Today Pink Cat Studio releases some very fun St. Patrick's Day digi stamps--and being part Irish (my Irish grandma would be so proud) I had tons of fun using them!  I only have one card to share but will have another to share this weekend---I'm trying to finish up all my SCS Dirty Dozen projects that are due this weekend so I'm a bit behind, LOL!  I used "Itty Bitty Betty in Pot of Gold" for my card today--all of my papers are from SU and my sentiment is from an older Storage Units, Ink and More set.  I used some diamond glaze on the pot and some stickles on the gold coins for sparkle.  Those sparkly shamrocks are from Michaels--I love 'em!!  Now make sure and hop over to the store blog HERE to see all the fabulous DT projects and stop by the store HERE to buy these fab digis!

I'll see ya back here tomorrow!  Hopefully I'll have enough sun tomorrow to get my videos shot and edited for ya all!

(you can click on the pictures to make larger)

Today is Whatchadoin' Wednesday Challenge #27---and its to make monochromatic cards! I love to do this--such a pretty look me thinks! I decided to make some fun 4x4 cards using a bunch of different SUINK stamp sets! I made these with Valentine's Day in mind but actually these 2 cards can be used for lots of occasions! The cs, dp & ribbon is from PTI (makes monochromatic easy when you use products from the same company). The cupcake card uses 2 stamps from the "Sweet Things" set--I put a Bella Bauble (merlot) on top of the cupcake on on the bottom of card---simple embellies! The heart card was fun to make using the "Will You Be My Valentine" set--I took the heart image and stamped around the circle 4 x using the matching PTI inks (plum pudding & lavender moon) and added stickles to them. The "hugs" sentiment I attached with dimensionals after punching out w/ my SU word punch.

Well, I was just gonna make 2 cards but I was having so much fun that I decided to make 2 more--hee hee! This time for St. Patrick's Day obviously, using the new SUINK set "Blarney Stone". All the dp, cs, inks and ribbon are from PTI again (gosh I love their stuff & they're coming out with bags of buttons that match all their colors for $5--sigh, can't wait)! I colored the lil' leprachaun with Copics and then used my gold Spica pen to color the gold accents and ground! The second card uses the same technique as the heart card above--I just stamped 2 of the shamrocks around my circle and then popped the sentiment up on top! Easy, peasy fun cards to make!

Make sure and stop by the SUINK blog to see the rest of the DT's fabby projects too!

Sneak Peeks!

Happy, happy Wednesday! Hopefully I am flying home when you are reading this (although we're getting nasty, icy weather so I hope I'm not delayed). I had an AWESOME time in CA, an absolute BLAST & I really enjoyed every minute. I have never laughed so much, spazzed out with my awesome friends (Marti & Catherine) and just had an all around great time. I went to Disney last nite with Catherine & had so much fun---we ran around like we were 5 years old on a sugar high (if you can imagine that, hee hee)! I have so many pictures to share over the next few days with you of things I saw, did and crazy stuff to share! But I'm exhausted and worn out & getting sick so it will have to wait (sorry)!!

Alrighty, I am going to try and keep this short and sweet cuz' I'm so tired I can't see straight right now (giggle)! Today starts off the Sneak Peeks for the 2 New stamp sets from Storage Units, Ink & More & you will LOVE them! My sneak peek today uses the stamp set "Blarney Stone " which I totally adore cuz' I'm part Irish ya know & this set has all kinds of good St. Patricks Day images :o) This set has so many mix and match images & sentiments to use, I love it! I covered a small tin ($1 each at Michaels) with my matching dp and then one of the cute sentiments from this set. The gold accents are Bella Baubles (goldilocks)!

Isn't this Irish Dancer girl the cutest? All my dp, cs and ribbon is from Stampin Up (green wasabi) which is great for St. Patty's Day me thinks. The scrolls are from punches from Gina K if you're interested in them!

On her skirt I used a gold Spica pen and angel wingz Shimmerz--nice and sparkly. I stamped the sentiment out on cs and then cut it out, bent it a few times in soft folds and then attached it so it looks like she's holding a banner (too cute)! And of course I had to make her Irish hair red!!
Make sure and head over to my DT sistah's blogs today and thru Feb.1st to see sneak peeks of this set and another one called "Goin' To the Chapel"! Today Mary Jo & Janna are up with projects too so stop by & see!
hugz & will post tons more for ya on Thursday!

Beary Happy!!

Happy Monday everyone! Sorry I've been MIA this weekend, but I've been fighting a nasty head cold that I NEED to go away before I leave on Friday for CHA! So I've been resting and catching up on some reading and drinking my vitamin-filled Acai juice :o) Have you guys been following the Inauguration events---the traffic here in Northern VA has been terrible & I'm soooo happy I don't have to go in to DC for anything---too many people for me! But I'm excited to get Obama in the White House to see what he can do--exciting times for our nation right now indeed.s

****BLOG CANDY WINNER----Congratulations to Julie Temple for winning the Valentine Set from SUINK!!

Thanks everyone for playing along--I loved reading what you do or get for Valentine's Day. I ask for exciting things (for me at least, hee hee) like a Big Shot or new photo printer for my past Valentine's Day presents---flowers are nice but I'd rather have stampin' stuff, LOL!

I will have a huge BLOG CANDY GIVEAWAY when I get back from CHA for hitting over 100,000 blog hits! So stay tuned.....its my biggest giveaway yet!
******************************************************

I know, I know...we haven't even celebrated Valentine's Day & here I am working on St. Patrick's Day projects, LOL---that's how it is in the design world, always working ahead! So whatcha' think of this cutie-patootie bear---do you like him? I can't say yet what his name is or who he's by (hint....maybe by someone you already know & love) but I'll tell ya real soon, 'kay! He's colored with Copics and those fun glittery shamrocks are from Michaels---a huge bag for $3! The sentiment was created by me on my computer---pretty fitting me thinks :o) The papers are all scraps that I've had cuz' I have yet to find any cute St. Patty's day dp---if you know where I can find some, let me know! A few yellow stickles on his buttons and buckles and some on his shamrock and he's finished. My grandma would be proud cuz' she was Irish & always celebrated---so this one's for my grandma!!

I'll be back later with the blog candy winner and I've got lots to finish before I leave on Friday too. Have a great day everyone!

hugz,

Suzanne
