Hi friends and Happy Monday!! I am in New York visiting with my 90 yr old Grandma and family for a few days before I head up to Canada to teach. Nothing better than being at your grandma’s KWIM—homemade biscuits and pies, YUM. Good thing I brought my running shoes with me so I can keep the lbs off while I’m here—Grandma is ALWAYS trying to feed me. She thinks I don’t eat enough but if I ate everything she tried to get me to eat I’d be 300 lbs LOL! She’s always worrying if I’m hungry and wants to make me food, clucking at me that she’s gonna tell my mom on me (hee hee—not that I’m not like 37 yrs old or anything)!! Of course RILEY loves it—he eats like 5 boys now at his age, can’t keep enough food in the house for him. We had to run to the grocery store to stock up grandma’s pantry & fridge because he will tear thru a week’s worth of food quickly. But he loves it up here hanging out with my Uncle and my cousins—riding on four wheelers, fishing and fixing up stuff. He will stay here when I head up to Canada on Friday and then I’ll be back Sunday night after classes. Then we will head home down the lovely (oh so boring) Pennsylvania Turnpike on Monday. Riley was a BIT perturbed that I SANG all the way here and kept telling me to shhhhh but he knows better LOL---I sing in the car all the time so I’m not sure what he was expecting. He was busy playing video games on my Ipad anyhow. BTW for those of you that are (ahem…addicted to games) you NEED to try out Burger Queen (regular version not Lite). OMG Alexa showed it to me before I left and I’ve been playing at night LOL—it is so ADDICTING and I’m almost thru all the levels thankfully so I can stop playing it. This is why I DO NOT get games on my phone LOL—I become obsessed. Riley was laughing last night though---he said “Mom that’s the first time I’ve seen you do something for so long that didn’t involve work or reading!” So the next few days will be a nice break for me before I delve into the hectic, busy fall season with work, travel and school stuff.

Today I’m sharing a new card made with the newest (and fab) collection at Magnolia-licious called “Winner Takes It All”. If you have someone that plays a sport then this collection is a must have—cute yoga Tilda, skateboaders, gymnasts, tennis, divers, swimmers and more! I adore each image and can’t wait to play with them more. This card I made for my daughter—she made the JV Cheerleading Squad at her highschool and was a little bummed she didn’t make Varsity so I thought this would cheer her (and I stuck an Itunes card inside lol). Cheerleading is very gymnast oriented and competitive here so I think she will have a better chance at Varsity next year when she has more practice under her belt if she works hard, which I know she will.
This lil’ cutie is called “Cheerleader Tilda” and I did her in my daughter’s high school colors of course! I kept it to blues and whites and really used a lot of the white paper so the blues would pop. When I use a lot of whites I always like to have lots of texture so it really shows well—I embossed the 2 layers of white cs with different CB folders. A few Marianne Design scrolls topped with pearls are behind the main image. (Patterned Paper is scrap) The sentiment is from PTI and the rick-rack border was made with a PTI die as well.
She’s colored up with Copics B28,B24,B21 / C1,C00 / E11,E00,R20 / E37,E35,YR23,YR20. I put a nice coat of Stardust Stickles on her shirt and bottom of her tenny-shoes(she’s gotta have bling)! For her pom-poms I added Sparkly Fluff in blues with my Quickie Glue pen for more texture that’s touchable.
That’s all for me today—I’ll see you back here on Wednesday ok! Have a good one!
PS--a quick memo--I enter a lot of challenges but NEVER remember to peek back to see if I've won, terrible of me. But I did this week and see I won a few so I'm adding their logos below as a thank you to them all! Great challenges!
