Thinking....

Hello everyone!  Today I have a card for you from I Brake For Stamps below---but first I'm going to have a monologue for you about some thoughts I had.  If you don't want to read this, that's fine with me as well!  But this will be the last time I ever comment on any of these things ever again.  There are reasons I'm writing this but I won't go into that and what I write below does not apply to the majority of you---the people that this is directed towards know who they are!

First let me start by saying I started this blog for myself as a way to meet others and share my work.  I CONTINUE to do this blog for MYSELF and for the enjoyment of others who WANT to visit.  This is MY blog, my time and I'm allowed to write whatever I feel like whenever I like--if I want to cuss all day long here on my blog, I'm allowed to do that!  If you write your own blog then more power to you and GUESS WHAT??? You can write whatever you darn well please and I'm fine with that too, because it's YOUR BLOG!  You don't like what I have on my blog, don't stop by--EASY AS PIE!  What a concept this is---you don't have to read anyone's blog you don't want to--get it!

I don't ask anyone to come to my blog--EVER!!  If you come visit me, it is by your choice only.  I don't ask you to jump through hoops, ask you to "follow" me, subscribe to me to enter for blog candy or to get you to read my blog.  It is your personal choice to stop by my blog--while I'm happy that I have many of you stop by, I don't influence anyone to come here.  If only 3 of you stopped by each day, I would continue to write my blog for ME, to share my work with those that actually enjoy it!  If you come here because you do not like me (for whatever bizarre reason you might have since I don't personally know most of you) and want to be nosy or gather info on me, then that's just fine--my blog is public so I cannot stop anyone from visiting.  If you stop by because you enjoy my work and what I have to say, then I'm thrilled and happy to have you.

This part of my blog is like a journal for me, so I write whatever I might be feeling that day.  If I'm tired, I'm sick, stressed, happy, excited, busy, celebrating, etc--this is where I will do it.  YOU DO NOT HAVE TO READ IT---no where does it state "hey, read all of this before you proceed".  I have no idea why anyone would complain about what I write on MY BLOG about MY LIFE when no one said you had to stop by and read it.  I don't understand why people invest so much of their time "hating" on other people and concerning themselves with other people's lives.  Really, do you hate yourself so much that you have to spew that hatred onto others---are you that unhappy in your life and what you do that you have to involve yourself into someone's life that you don't know and be vicious.  (and you know exactly who I'm talking about because I know you're reading this and I know who you are)  Guess WHAT?? I don't care!! LOL--I don't give a rat's ass what you think about how I live or manage my life and work--YOU DON'T HAVE A SAY IN MY LIFE!  Just like I don't have a say in yours!

Want to know why?

I have a beautiful, loving family and I KNOW that I am a damn good mom---I have dedicated the past 14 years of my life making sure my kids are well taken care of and am involved in every aspect of their lives.  And if you asked them they'd tell you the same (minus I'm too strict sometime or hover too much, but hey that's teens right).  I'm also a pretty darn good wife and have an AWESOME relationship with my best friend who just happens to be my hubby--I wouldn't change a thing and he would tell you the same.

Know what else???  I like who I see in the mirror!  I know when I see that person it's someone to be proud of, acknowledges her accomplishments thru HARD WORK(nothing has EVER been given to me that I haven't worked my ass off for) and knows that she's a kind, generous and sympathetic friend, mother and person.  I never look in the mirror and feel bad about myself or something I might have said or done to others.  I have never been nasty to anyone, never written a nasty email or note or started forums to spread vicious lies to make myself feel better.  At the end of the day I may be tired and/or stressed but I am VERY HAPPY with myself and even better--I LIKE MYSELF!  I have great friends, great family and lots of love and support in my life which makes ME HAPPY!

Does this mean I never am tired, sick or stressed?  I'd be lying if I said no--of course, cuz' that's just life.  I started 2 businesses in one month--crazy?--maybe, but so worth it.  If you know me well you know that I NEVER do anything I don't want to--I'm a stubborn mule so to say, it's the Taurus in me.  If I didn't want to be on DT's then I wouldn't--I'm honored to have been asked (and yes, all the DTs I'm on, I was asked to be) and thrilled to work on projects each day for fantastic women and store owners.  And you know WHAT?  If those businesses thought I wasn't doing a good job then they would let me go--no DT has ever let me go!!  Those owners also know what kind of work I do, how hard I work and the 110% I put into everything and they wouldn't ask me if they didn't want to!!  I have NEVER complained about being on DTs--I know I'm lucky to even be asked.  Am I sometimes overwhelmed by work, YES--aren't we all!!?  If I didn't want to start my businesses, then I wouldn't have done that either but I did and I work hard on both everyday!  And who the heck isn't overwhelmed when they first start a business--if they say they aren't, then they're lying!  I'm lucky enough to NOT have to work, I work because I choose to not because our lives depend on it!  If I didn't want to type my blog each night then I wouldn't do that either.  It's all done by CHOICE!  Yes, sometimes dinner is late or laundry piles up but I don't know many people who work and have families that don't have something pile up occasionally.  I am by no means a supermom, superwife or superwoman--I don't want to be nor do I strive for that because it's impossible.  I am who I am and I try my best every day I wake up no matter what and I NEVER GIVE UP!  And not that it is really anyone's business, but I work all morning and afternoon while my kids are at school and while my hubby is at work---that gives me a lot of time to get things done during the day.  When they are home, I'm not working--I never craft at night.  And yes I do my computer work in the evening, sitting beside my husband, conversing with him & watching our favorite TV shows--that's how I get my work done!

So if you think I'm a quitter--YOU ARE SO WRONG!  If you think I'll change what and who I am--SO SORRY!  If you don't like it---then don't stop by--cuz' I don't CARE!  But by all means, take a look in the mirror and see what kind of person you are and how you treat others, and if you're happy with what looks back at you then I wish you a happy life.  I believe that life gives you what you give to it and so far what I'm gettin' is pretty darn good.  How 'bout you?

Now in no way does this apply to all of you that stop by and in no way am I trying to offend anyone--I'm just being honest about myself, my work and my intentions.  There are a lot of unhappy people out there who try to bring others down and this is my way of letting them know that they don't BOTHER ME!  I never understood vicious people who attack others for no reason and ya know what---I don't want to understand them, because if you start understanding them you might become them.  No one can make you happy but yourself--no one can make you change but yourself and for those of you (you know who you are) I just feel really sorry for you, you're missing out on the one life you've been given by wasting time on things that just don't matter.  Too bad for you!

And here's a quote that a great friend, mentor, wonderful lady and a boss of mine shared with me:
"I LOVE BEING ME!!  It pisses off all the right people!!"    I Love it!!

And for the rest of you, thank you for stopping by and letting me know you care, you like what I do or that maybe I made you laugh or you liked the book I suggested!  I have made many a friend thru my blog and I appreciate all of you more than you can know.  And for you I do care about how you're doing, how life is treating you and helping you whenever I can--I have always made myself accessible to everyone and that will continue. There are so many wonderful people out there and I am so thrilled to know you, talk with you, help you and befriend you.  For that I thank you very much!  Oh and for those that care, my life is great, I'm doing great, I manage myself and my businesses just fine and I live my life with no regrets nor does my family!  I like myself, my life and my family--nothing could ever compare!!

And that's the last you'll ever hear on that!

Thinking of You!

I was in a solitary mood yesterday so I chose this beautiful tree image from I Brake For Stamps. I brayered the background with various SU inkpads onto glossy cs to create a lovely sunset for my tree to sit in front of.  After brayering the background I stamped the tree from the "Rare Image Garden Sheet" (so many beautiful stamps in this sheet) with memento ink and added a bit of color with my Copics.  If you order something from I Brake For Stamps make sure to use the coupon code "SAVE10SUZANNE" to get 10% off your entire order :o)

The sentiment is from PTI and the background cs was embossed with the CB "Asian" embossing folder.  I love the sunset colors, kinda reminds me of the movie "The Lion King", hee hee--I love to see a great sunset!  The corner brackets were made using a MS border punch and the sentiment sits on a die cut from my Spellbinder's "Ribbon Tag Trio".   To finish this off I spritzed the whole card with Vanilla Smooch Spritz.  This would make a nice sympathy card or just simply to tell someone you're thinking of them.

I wish you all a fabulous day and hope you'll stop by again tomorrow because YOU want to!!

  2. I may not comment often but I love reading your blog every time you post. I am sorry that there are negative people in this world. You encourage me to do the best I can. Your card is amazing.

  3. I *loved* reading your rant! I read every word and found myself nodding my head in agreement many times over. I'm so glad to say that I've always been that girl who thought "there will be people who don't like me that don't even know me for whatever reason...chances are I wouldn't really like them much either". In high school some people thought I was blessed with great self-confidence. I *wish*! I think I was just blessed with "don't really give a hooey about some things", LOL!

Good for you! I will continue to follow your awesome work, will sometimes be envious of your talent (hey, I'm human, LOL!) and will eagerly await your future posts - artwork and otherwise!!!

  4. I like you, too! I'm glad to hear whatever you have to say. I've been a fan since I first happened on your blog - you are so creative and a great designer - but even more so, I've always thought of you as having such a good heart.

No one is perfect (although I still think you come close, lol). And I am TRULY glad that you TOLD THEM WHERE TO GO! There is no room in this world for nasty people! Life is too darn short! Hugs to you!

  5. Well said Suzanne. I think your blog is fantastic and, yes, you are right, if we don't want to read the personal stuff we don't have to. It's your blog and you can write what you want to. Your cards serve as a constant inspiration to me and I thank you for that. Living on another continent (Africa) you allow me to take a glimpse into your life, both creative and personal - I salute you for taking the courage to do that. Thank you.

  9. I'm not going to lie, I just skimmed your blog because I have roughly 600 others that I will be looking at today. :) But I just wanted to say, I too, quite like the person you look at in the mirror! I wouldn't change a thing and I'm glad you wouldn't either!

  10. Oooops, somebody must have been very mean - otherwise you would not write this that way. Stay you, you are a nice person! that's all I have to say to this.

The card is very pretty, I like the warm coloures and the clear layout very much.

  11. Hi Suzanne
You are on my blog list and I stop by every time you post. I rarely comment though as i guess I am in awe of your incredible talent.
I can't believe someone (more than one??) has left a comment on your blog that would make you post like this. I'm guessing their problem is jealousy! I think your blog is fantastic, I love your creations and your personal posts too. I especially love all the effort you have gone to in regards to compiling a starter list of copics as I have now printed this and am saving madly for them.
I am relatively new to cardmaking and have only had my blog for about 4 months and your incredible creations inspire me everyday and I sincerely hope you continue to post just as you have always posted.
    Kindest regards
    Michelle

  12. Hi Suzanne!
Just to say...I love all that you do and very much admire you. I would love to be able to do half of what you do and have your talent. i ahve saved all you tutorials. Even though I don't use copics they have helped with my distress inks and Prismacolor pencils.
Your sunset scene is beautiful. The tree looks awesome.

  14. Hi Suzanne, I always look at your blog and work and Love everything you do, but rarely comment, but I am so sorry that someone has upset you this much with their nasty comments, whatever they were. Keep doing your amazing and inspiring work and I have to say that I am currently enrolled in your Copic Class 2 and am loving it. Don't get as much time as I would like lately to play with it, but I am so happy that you have put these classes together, as we don't really have any kind of copic classes in Australia. Although I am very excited to be taking part in the first Melbourne Copic Certification and hope that with your classes and this my coloring is going to get a lot better. Thanks so much again for being you and bringing your awesome work into my computer screen..hehe!

  15. Great rant! Loved it and agree wholeheartedly.

You mention using the Vanilla Smooch Spray on your card - have you found it hard to control the amount of spray coming out? Mine seems to overspray and then drip/drop and leave a wet page - and that is with just a quick spritz. Love the gentle affect the spray gives, but the delivery is making me nervous - after all, I use it after I have completed the card. I really don't want to ruin it then.

  16. Oh dear Suzanne am sorry that such a meanness has led to your rant. I know I only occasionally leave you a comment, but I do stop by everyday to see your marvellous work and to get inspiration from what you do. Take care. Rosie x

  17. Hi Suzanne,
I just want to tell you that you are and have been such an inspiration to me. Your blog is the first blog I look at every morning. I don't always leave you a comment but I love your work and I love reading about you. Reading about what is going on in your life makes me feel like you are my friend even though we have never met. I would never have learned how to color with my copic makers if it had not been for you and all the hours of time you have spent giving so freely to all of us! Thank you for all the hard work that you do! You are a very creative person and thank you so much for sharing your creativity!

  19. Hi Suzanne. I am a total blog lurker but I had to comment as I am sad that someone had to be so mean and would make you so upset. I often stop by for advice and inspiration and to look at your copic tutorials. I hope that this nasty person/people will not interfere with the beautiful work that you do nor the continued writing of the blog. Lots of hugs and please ignore the "haters" out there- they don't deserve your thoughts or time.

  26. Hi, Suzanne,
I saw the thread that I *believe* started this, and I completely agree with you. In a day and time when people say they don't have enough time in the day to leave nice comments on blogs and forums, then why on earth make negative posts? I have always enjoyed your blog, not only for your awesome creations, but also for the stories of your life. Whether you are happy or stressed, busy or excited, that is life, and that is what makes your blog "real", if you know what I mean. It makes you more of a person, and therefore more like the rest of us. Keep up the good work and I'm glad that nothing is getting you down!

Just wanted to say that I visit your blog every day because I ENJOY it! I love your artwork and creativity and am thankful for all the ideas you share. Hang in there and keep posting - lots of us appreciate what you do.
Also, I love the colors on your card today and the tree image. I'm an autumn girl so those colors appeal to me.

  29. Hi Suzanne,

I love your blog, I stop by almost every day just to see what you've been up to. The work you do is incredible. The pictures you post of your family and snips of your life show how wonderful it is. I'm just very sorry for you that someone has obviously been very nasty to you. Well as my mum says 'if they're bitching about you, they're giving someone else a rest' so don't let it get you! Jealousy can make people do rotten things.

    Take Care! Lyns xxx

I can't begin to tell you how much inspiration I get from your blog and so happy to see what you wrote that no one can change the way you operate it. Pat yourself on the back for me because I think you are doing an awesome job and I love to hear what you have to say. Keep being positive! I loved your quote and I wanted to share with you my favorite quote. "Keep smiling makes other people wonder what your up to".

Thank you so much for the recommendation. Your card today is absolutely stunning, I love the technique you used with the brayer. Gorgeous!

I don't know why people think they can type anything just because we can't see them or hear them. You think with what is going on in the world today, people would be busy just keeping their own head above water.
Just keep doing what you do, and the others will reap what they sow.

  51. Hi Suzanne... Well said. I couldn't agree more. There will always be those out there that only feel good about themselve by tearing others down. I just divorced one of them myself. For those haters out there just unsub people.

Suzanne I always enjoy your blog. Your creativity and talent amaze me. I love that you share you life with us. It shows the human side of life. I will always stop by to see what you are up to. You are one of the ladies that make my day. Keep up the great work, you are truly an inspiration to us all.

  52. Oh my goodness...I am so glad you are expressing yourself on your blog. I never understand why people make nasty or mean comments about people or their blogs. It is their space to do and say and show what they want to. I rarely comment, but I do read your blog all the time and I subscribed to the Craftroom Door. Your work is excellent and I love to hear about your travels and see your pictures. I have another blog friend who is very blessed with a nice home and wonderful husband and children and she sometimes gets a JEALOUS person who will leave a nasty comment about the way she lives her life and shares on her blog. If I come across a blog that I don't care for, I just move on. Don't comment, don't go back to it. That's simple!

I hope you continue to put yourself out here and share all your wonderful work with us!

It's great to know that there are still families in this crazy world that love and work together. Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing yourself with us. Aloha, Paula

  56. Suzanne,
I have told you before how you inspire me and are so talented. I stop by daily and I love reading what you have to say; you are a great person and so blessed. Those people are Jealous of all that you are and nothing more. I might also add they need to find Jesus and learn not to judge others number one sin in the bible. You said everything beautifully and maybe they will reflect on what they have said and done and think next time about hurting others.
    Hugs,
    Shelby

  62. Hi Suzanne! I don't comment very often, but feel the need to do so today! I love your blog and your amazing creativity! I am sorry that there are people out there who need to bring "up" people "down" and you are one of those "up" people! Even when you are down, your positive spirit shines through! Keep on blogging and sharing with those of us who are continually amazed at your abilities and energy level!

  63. Suzanne, I hope you have a great day. Fortunately in life there are more positive people than negative, so we just have to put our energy on them. All the best to you and your family. Very nice card.

  66. Hi Suzanne,
I was soooooo sorry to read this post as it sounds as if you have been experiencing some negativity lately. Unfortunately no matter how all of us may try we cannot please everyone! You won't remember me but I contacted you when you started advertising your Copic Classrooms and am currently enrolled on your first one - although I haven't had the time yet to upload any homework!! I applaud what you have done and realise what an enormous amount of effort this has all taken. When I did contact you I found you both warm and friendly and I suspect that most people feel the same!! I know from experience just how it can affect you when you experience negativity but as you say as long as you are surrounded by loving family that is all that matters. I do hope that you are able to put this all aside and carry on with your creativity as your work is just amazing!!

    Love and hugs

  67. I'm sorry for whatever happened that prompted you to post this.I don't understand why some people have to be hateful to others...like you and others have said, if they don't agree with something...STOP READING and go away!! I LOVE your blog. I've learned A LOT about Copics from you and like others, continue to be amazed at your talent. I'm also very grateful you share your talents so willingly with the rest of us. Thank you for all you do!

Boo to all those people who say bad things about you!! Keep on writing your blog, you make a lot of people happy! :)

  71. Goodness!! I think it's a shame that someone got you so worked up!! Your work is awesome! And your dedication to your work is even more admirable! I LOVE hearing about your life. It allows me to get to "know" you a little better. I love that the internet allows us to get a glimpse of life in another state or even country! I enjoyed hearing about your "issues" with snow during the winter...because I live in Florida and have only seen snow a few times. I enjoy hearing about your ghost (although that one kind of freaked me out and makes me want to pray for your safety). And I enjoy hearing when you are overwhelmed...it makes you a real person!!! Sister, this person (persons) is not worth it!! Now go have a nice glass of wine :-)!!

  73. Wow! Good for you! I'm sorry that you are under "attack" by someone who must not have enough to do. I LOVE your blog..I stop by almost every day. Thank you for sharing your creativity & talent with us. I also enjoy hearing a little about your "life". Hopefully that person/people will get the message and fade away. Life is too short for so much drama.
    God Bless You!

  74. You are the bees knees Girl and I say from experience and having sat in your home that you are one busy lady with a doting family that totally back you up in your endeavors.

Don't sweat the small stuff kiddo - these miniscule piss-ants that never have anything positive to say and are happy by tearing other people down are the smallest of small stuff!!

Shame on them - I have been on the receiving end myself and they are meaningless!!

  75. Love your card. I've seen so many orange cards lately I may actually use some orange. That was quite a message. I hope you feel better. And whoever is bothering will now just go away or better yet mend their ways.

  76. Well Suzanne, that was a good rant!
I stop by your blog each evening to have a look around and I love reading about your life. I do love to look at your amazing cards, but adding your life/hubby/children into the mix just makes it seem more personal, like I really know you even though I don't. And I love to look at your slideshow photos too. I don't often comment as I feel a bit of a nerd, but please know that I care and I enjoy the time I spend on your blog.
I started a blog of my own just yesterday, it's very basic, and I'm really rubbish with computers, but I wanted to do it for me! Keep up doing what you do very well.

  85. Hey Suzanne, loved your card, and loved your venting!! Way to go, girlfriend!!! It's too bad someone had to push your buttons though in the first place, ....you know the saying, if you can't say something nice..... You're right, it's your blog, you say what you want, that's why I like coming to it; it makes me laugh and I love the artwork!!!

Keep it up the great work, you have way more fans than naysayers!!!!

  86. I absolutely love your card today!!! The copic coloring had me fooled - I had to re-read how you made the card because it looks like a technique...well done!!

I also wanted to say that I am glad you took this bull by the horns! It always amazes me to think that others feel as though they are entitled to say what they want regardless of consequences!! I only hope that your message travels to those who truely should be reading it!

Keep up the awesome work...I look as often as I can.

  87. Wow, people really can be so mean, I don't comment on your blog often but I agree with everyone that has left a comment today. You are an inspiration & should never stop what you're doing. Your family is too cute & you should be proud of them. Hope you got it all out because it's so sad to see you this way. Hold your head up & by all means don't change a thing :)

  88. Well said Suzanne! I stop by and visit when I can because I LOVE your work and think you are wonderful at what you do! I think people have to remember "treat others as you would like to be treated", it is sad that there are people out there who feel joy when they treat others badly! Hope they read this & all the wonderful comments left for you too :)

  89. First of all, I want to say how sorry I feel that someone, anyone, has hurt your feelings. I personally do not color with Copics, so I kind of skim over some of what you post regarding that. I do however, enjoy your creations very much and love, love, reading about your family, your furbabies, ghosts, snakes chasing you around etc., etc.. Keep up the good work, and I hope your back is feeling better. Hugs,

  90. WOW! Good for you Suzanne. You said everything you needed to and said it well. In NY we have an expression - a little vulgar but so what - "shit for brains". Apparently that's what the person you were addressing has. Hope the expression didn't lose anything in the translation - lol. I like you, like your blog and if I didn't, I just wouldn't read it - DUH! Have a great day!

  91. Hey Suzanne, what the heck is going on? I wish I knew all the particulars who, what, where etc that got that kind of a reaction from you! I bet it was about a week ago that Gina K wrote a similiar blog about something that was going on with her. Same people?
Anyway, we love you. Just pressing the "send" button must have been very cathartic for you! I guess I'll never know but I just wanted to say I'm sorry for whatever was thrown in your path, and I'm glad you kicked it out of the way.

  93. I love your cards and your creativity. Keep on doing what you do. I stop by often and have enjoyed lots of your posts, but rarely comment. Remember there are a lot of nuts out there in the internet..don't let them get you down.

  94. You Rock! I usually don't post either, but just wanted you to know that those type of people don't matter. Like the words of a Ricky Nelson song "You can't please everyone , so you've got to please yourself".

  95. Suzanne, I read your blog every time you post but due to time constrains very seldom leave comments any more. But I had to, today.
People that do this are jealous of what you have and they are unable to achieve it themselves. This is the only way that makes them feel "big". Poor feeble souls. I think even all us commenting gives them a "high" and they don't even see that everybody is putting them down. In a way they accomplished what they wanted....notoriety. I guess from now on we all should laugh at their stupidity....

I love the saying from your friend.

    Keep on...keeping on Suzanne...
    Many Hugs...Marie L

  96. Hi Suzanne,
That must have been "something" pretty mean or nasty to get you going--you have alsways been there for me whenever I have reached out to you--I think you go "more than the mile" for people--you always have time, tips and suggestions. You always share what you know or what you have just seen or learned. You are not the "oh look what I can do" type--it is more"oh, I'm glad I could help you learn this or that" type of person.Thank-you for being the type of person your are--if I could sum it up in one word--it would be "caring".
    Hugs to you

PS-Love your card by the way!!!!

  97. First, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the card!!! It's gorgeous!!

Second, your response to the nastiness out there was wonderful. I think there are alot of people who take hate of self and turn it on to others. So sad, and yet, often, these are the very people who require much prayer and buckets of grace and love, even if they can't return it. Just grateful you aren't one of them.
    Stay true to self.

Please continue to share your sunshine and love with those of us who truly appreciate great talent when we see it.

I don't often visit your blog as I subscribe to your email, which I tend to read at night time when catching up on other stuff with hubby, sad pair sometimes when we are both on computers lol! Anyway I will stop there lol or my comment could get as big as your post lol! I am so loving your Copics 2 class and soon to sign up for 3 and 4, thank you for sharing your wonderful copic talents and many other crafting bits and pieces along the way. Instead of being inspired, most tend to hate and become jealous. I personally thank you for the sharing your talents and tips with us and keep on keeping on!!!

  107. I just want you to know that I'm new to coloring with copics, and I find you amazing. It is through you that I have found a craft that I truly love. You are one of the few people who actually tell you what colors to use, how to blend, how to create something I am proud of. I don't know why people critize those that can do something that is really beautiful. You are very gifted, and I love your site, and the fact that you share your keen sense of style with all of us that visit your blog. All I can say is I look fordward to seeing what you do every day. Thank you for sharing.

Unfortunately for every 100 people that we meet in this little hobby/business of ours, there's unfortunately one or two that just can't handle other's success and/or good fortune, let alone the true, RAW talent that you possess! Glad to see you being honest, venting, and absolutely peopel should be here b/c they want to and not because they're being nosy or competitive.

Again, I don't know the specifics, but I think you're great. Hugs, sista! Hang in there-you are going places and will go EVEN further!

  128. Suzanne, I have been reading your Scrap Bitz blog for some time now and I love it! You make me laugh and smile, you make me cheer you on, you make me love you as a person more each day. I love hearing about your family antics, your trips, and I even went out and bought a Jorge Cruise book and have lost 10 lbs because of your recommendation. Don't change a thing because of someone else. It is proven..."Hurting people hurt others" and whomever hurt you, will get their own behaviors thrown back at them. What goes around comes around! Just know that the 99,9% of us who read you, and love your creative style, will always be here for you.

I have not ever commented on your blog but I hope I am of some encouragement to you and yours.

  129. OH HONEY!! I am SOOOOO sorry that someone as good, kind and giving as you are has to be attacked by some low-no-life-wanna-be (pardon the language) You always brighten my day and inspire me to greater things in my crafting and life. I love your projects, book suggestions, funny and serious thoughts. I look forward so much to getting to spend a few minutes with someone as fantastic as you are.

We can only grieve and pray for the person/persons that felt the need to attack and spew negative things - what a sad person they must be.

  135. Hi Suzanne ~

Your heart is right and you are doing the right thing. THAT will always cause opposition. Sad, but true... The majority loves you and supports you. Here is a little 'trick' that helps me when attacks occur. I have to pray and believe that all the ugliness just slips right off me (like Teflon!!!) lol! People will try to make you carry their baggage, but NOTHING can stick!!! HA!

May God's love restore and strengthen you as you move forward in doing what you love :)

  137. I don't know why some people have to be negative and mean to others but I suppose it's motivated by envy. Your work is amazing and I love looking at every post although I may not always comment.

Well done for writing what you think and I agree with you - keep up the good work!

  140. I love your blog and I stop by often (though not often enough sometimes) :) and I'd just like to say thanks for keeping it real. I love real and I can handle REAL!! Timely reminder for me too....I don't have to many followers and don't get too many comments on my blog, but now I'm grateful for that - I don't have enough time to deal with negativity or venomous peeps and so am happy for the encouragement I do get from the lovely peeps who pop on by.

I'm keeping on following you Suzanne and look forward to continuing inspiration from your blog.

  141. Hi Suzanne,
Your blog is the first one I read everyday. I love your talent and your energy.
Bless your heart! I'm sorry someone chose you to hurt.
Please don't stop what you are doing. You are the best and I'm glad you are here.
You are the reason I started using (trying anyway) Copic markers. Plus, I'm a subscriber to the new magazine. Love it! Great job!
I'm amazed everyday at what you do!
The card is just beautiful. I tried last night to do a similar background, but it just looked yucky.
    Thanks for being you!

  144. Well said Suzanne! I too saw the thread & clicked off of it. I'm priveledged to have discovered what a wonderful person you are, how fun & energetic you are. And just how phenom you are to hang out with. I'm going to miss that when we move this summer. Still I'll enjoy reading your blog regularly. It's so fun to catch up on your woes, celebrations, and everyday life. I always wonder how you fit it all in and when you sleep. Keep on blogging your way Suzanne because that is what makes Scrap Bitz TERRIFIC!

  146. Oh Suzanne, someone really pissed in your cornflakes!

I absolutely hate, hate, hate people who have nothing in their lives and try to fill the void with garbage.

Life is a garden and one can look at it and only see the weeds or one can stand back and see the flowers!

Don't you ever change yourself or your blog. It is a place I come to to visit a friend and find out how her day went, what the family is up to and to learn a new technique....ENABLER!!!

I am so sorry someone upset you and hurt you to the point where you felt you needed to vent....I am glad you did, we all need a friend's shoulder to lean on occasionally.

I adore your work, I adore your blog and I adored your rant!!!

  148. AMEN!!! I am going to be round about the 150th person to comment today, who loves you! That's gotta make you feel good...you probably have gotten too much love, lol, and won't even be able to read all of these! I'm so sorry that someone has been cruel to you. You are one of the most kind and generous people in blog land(and probably in your everyday life, I'd imagine) and I cannot believe someone would be hateful to you. Jealously is a nasty bug and it eats away at our souls. I am happy for who you are and glad you don't intend to change! I love your work, keep it up!

  149. Wow..........I cannot believe that someone would take offense to ANYTHING you write, Suzanne! That just ticks me off that someone or some people have taken it upon themselves to police your wonderful blog & make nasty comments to you. Just unthinkable! I love reading about your wonderful life....and all of it's ups & downs. And you do make me laugh at times.........don't we all need that. Good grief. I'm just flabbergasted.........I sat here with my mouth hanging open as I read this. I love your response. They're not going to steal your thunder or rob your joy! Good for you!
I for one stand behind you & beside you..............you keep doing EXACTLY what you're doing & let the trash-talkin' people do what they do best.........NOTHING!
Huggies & Lovies to one of the sweetest people I know.......

  150. Suzanne...you are right. Your blog, your words, your life, your business. I know you wrote about "who cares what you think to your offenders, but I think you do care. And you know what? I'm really sorry strangers (or others) words hurt you. My 12 year daughter & I just had a long conversation about hurtful words. I told her even as an adult, people still say mean things. So, I'm shaking my finger at all you selfish people who feel the need to say nasty things. Shame on you! If you can't say something positive, constructive, or something to build someone up... DON'T SAY ANYTHING! And I hope the next time you get spoken ill of, remember this moment. Sadly, you brought it on yourself. What goes around, comes around. And Suzanne, the positive and good you do, will come back to you. (As evident from the wonderful comments here). Thanks for all the fantastic tutorials, by the way. I've learned tons from you!

  151. Well said Suzanne. I just can't imagine that anyone would have anything mean or nasty to say to you. I love your blog and everything that you post and write. I don't always leave comments but I certainly appreciate all the time that you put into this.

  152. Hi Suzanne, I read your blog always and I am so sorry. People can be so rude and hateful. That to me means that they are very unhappy with themselves that they have to hurt others. I loved what you said and trust me reading all these responses you have more positive vibes going out to you!! You do awesome work, I always love to see what you've done. It inspires me. Thank you!!

  153. Suzanne, keep your chin up! Some people have nothing better to do than find fault in others. Somehow they think this makes them look better. I enjoy visiting you blog and seeing your creations. You are an inspiration!

  154. OH GIRL...TELL IT LIKE IT IS! Just let me tell you...I was always a "people-pleaser" until about the age of 50! After worrying about what people thought of me, or who would/or would not like me, I finally decided the ONLY one I had to please was God, my family, and myself! I can't tell you what a load off my shoulders that revelation was! I just hate it took me so long! There will always be those who look for fault. They can't stand to see someone who is at peace with themselves, much less one that is as talented as you! They see this as a competition, but the only one they are competing with is themselves! Suzanne, I am SOOO proud of you for standing up for yourself and what you believe in! You are a very accomplished woman because you have the drive to get the job done! God blessed you with this amazing talent that you so freely share and YOUR bloggers are here for that inspiration! What goes around, comes around...hence... good things happen to good people! 'nuff said! :) YOU ROCK, GF! Don't let ANYONE pop your balloon... you've worked too hard getting it filled! ;)

This card is SOOO STUNNING! WOW! You surely know how to work that brayer! :) teehee! AMAZING!

  158. I LOVE choice! I love life, I enjoy the choices I make in life, both good and bad, they all teach me something, if someone doesn't like it, choose to look somewhere else. You said it all, some of us CHOOSE to enjoy our lives, others choose to try to pop bubbles and bring us down. But you, like me, don't put up with their hooey! Craft on and know that you have a dedicated following/friend base. Rock on! Great card by the way ;)

  166. Wowzers! I can't even imagine what went down to cause such a post! I've been a fan of yours for a while now & I'm taking your CMC classes (which are AMAMZING) and sub to the mag as well (which is FANTASTIC) so I am left wondering what ANYONE could have said that was negative against you. They would HAVE to be Haters- HAVE TO BE!!! I had the great honor of meeting you at CHA (& tried not to embarrass myself :), but I was very excited to meet you. So sorry that there are haters out there who find it easier to hate on you than take the enormous amount of time you've put into all you do and try to do what you have done! I for one am SO grateful you're willing to share your talent, knowledge, & know-how with us. Suzanne, keep doing what you're doing. You are an inspiration, you are generous, you are talented, and you are genuine. Insert me giving you BIG hugs here!

What ever they said to you, is so wrong, and know that there are people out their that love you and care about you, I know myself I am a big admirer of yours and you are so talented, gifted and kind hearted person.

You say and do what ever you wish on your blog, I love to see what you say and do, just know that we all care about you.

To the person that has upset you, there is a word called Karmer and I hope that one day it comes around to bite them in the butt!
