Hi all & Happy Tuesday to you! I have to confess that I don't like Mondays & Tuesdays too much, they always seem to be my busiest days with no relief in site till the weekend KWIM, lol! I worked from 10 am until 2 am the next morning (now typing this as I am) on projects and I'm so tired & sore--and tomorrow is another full day of working on projects, deadlines are LOOMING-YIKES!! The weather here in VA has been near perfect the past 2 weeks dare I say! I'd like to think that Mother Nature is gifting us with kindness after the winter we had, lol--but shhh...I don't want to make her mad, she's definitely a force to be reckoned with! Not much going on over the next couple of days, so I'm kinda boring right now with not much to say, hee hee---sorry!
-Marti and I are hard at work on the May/June issue of Through the Craftroom Door mini-mag! Want more details--go HERE!
This card I actually made for a friend so I hope she doesn't mind that I'm posting it first, LOL! Can I just tell you that I LOVE this Tilda--I identify with her if that makes any sense. Just the way she's standing, with her hand in her pocket & her lil' cargo shorts reminds me of myself, LOL! She's "Tilda w/ Spring Bundle" from Magnolia-licious and Diana has her in stock for ya!! I had gotten this fabulous NEW SEI paper pad (Claire in a 6x6 size) in the mail last week and couldn't wait to rip into it--I love the color combo of melon pink, dk peach and grays--so funky & fun! I distressed the edges with my Tonic Tool and inked them a bit for a little bit of distressing. Those pretty white corner borders are by Melissa Frances that I've had forever in my stash & not used (waiting for the right project I guess).
Those pretty flowers are by Prima and they come attached in a curved spray like that with glitter on them (see here)--so lovely and the perfect colors too! I attached a bow made w/ my Bow Easy to the top of them. I also added a fun lil' butterfly charm off of 2 jump rings--you can't tell but I painted the butterfly with some liquid pearls to soften up the metal and make it shimmer a bit more.
I hope you can see the soft shimmer throughout the image--I used some Cryogen Irridescent paper from Paper Temptress, it has a soft sparkle that shines thru which I like. And I have to say I liked coloring on this paper--it's smooth w/ just a bit of tooth, the only downside is that it does bleed thru so you can't use the back side if you mess up :o) I shaded around her a bit with W1 & W00 and then added some soft dots of sparkle with my stardust Stickles. Her boots got a coat of Diamond Glaze and the flowers have the NEW Ultra-Fine Flower Soft on them (love this stuff--great for small things) in the raspberry fizz mix. {Copics Used: R22,R20,R00,Colorless Bl, C5,C3,C2,C00,W1,W00,YR12,YR00,E57,E55,Y21)
That's all for me today--hope you like this lil cutie as much as I do!! If you do like this cute Tilda and want her and a pack of that bee-u-tiful SEI paper then leave me a comment & tell me what your favorite Springtime Flower is ? (mine are tulips) deadline is this Friday!

ReplyDeleteI love this Tilda too, she's so sweet. Reminds me when I was a child a cut some flowers for my mother.

My favorites are daffodils, when I see them spring is in the air :-))

ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring flowers are Peonies. Such a cute Tilda :-)
Absolutely love your new Tilda card, she is so adorable!! Love your color choices for her too.....
ReplyDeleteAs for my favorite Springtime flower....have to agree, those tulips are hard to resist. They plant them in our shopping center and I love driving in seeing all of them...they have every color and they're so gorgeous!! Since my mom's birthday is in April, I love ordering a bouquet for her because they always put the array of colors in there as well. I've had a hard time finding the new Tilda holding the tulips, since I think that stamp is so sweet.....
Another gorgeous card. I love this stamp, don't have her yet, but she will be added to my wish list. My favorite flowers are roses.
ReplyDeleteThis card is a sheer delight, Suzanne - love the design and the colour combo!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite Springtime flower is the daffodil because they are as bright and cheerful as the Spring sunshine.

What a sweet card! Hyacinths are my favorite spring flower, of course they're all so pretty after a dreary winter!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Beth
Suzzane, She is gorgeous and really sweet. I hope that your friend likes her. My favorite springtime flower is peonies. Mine are coming up and will be blooming by next month. I watch for them as they begin to bloom and get so excited when I see the first one in bloom. Have a great day and I hope that you meet all of your deadlines.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I love the paper! My favorite flowers are sunflowers and daisies. My Gran once grew a Sunflower 5ft tall in a crack of a sidewalk by her home in a city! Since then they remind me of her.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card and the paper is so pretty. My favorite flower has to be tulips too.
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne!! Another gorgeous card! I would have to say my favourite spring flower is the hyacinth. I used to have them in my garden at our old house, but I keep forgetting to plant the bulbs here. Gotta put that on my to-do list this fall! lol
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see all the flower color bursting forth in spring, but I'd say that lilacs have a special place in my heart. They were a favorite of my mom's so I think of her when I see them blooming.

She is beautiful, Suzanne! I love the way you colored this image. Your embellishments are perfect too - especially love the corners you've used to hightlight your image. hugs, Angela
ReplyDeleteSo very pretty. The flowers are great and I love butterflies. And Tilda is wonderful and colored wonderfully as always. My favorite spring flowers are lilacs - a late spring flower.
ReplyDeleteOh Suzanne, this is absolutely stunning. What a wonderful card your friend is receiving. Oh shoot do I have to stick to just one flower. LOL I love tulips too and each time I see one, I think of how blessed I was to be able to see the tulip festival in Holland one year. Utterly breathtaking. Miles and miles of tulips. My next favorite is Iris and of course they must be purple as my fav color is purple. have a wonderful day dear one., Hugs, Pat
ReplyDeleteLove your card and all the wonderful little details....your friend must be very special! Got your magazine the other day and it is awesome, can't wait for the next issue! My favorite flower at anytime has always been yellow roses!
ReplyDeleteLove that Tilda and the colors you choose. She is on the top of my list to purchase. In the spring I love the first sight of Daffodils coming up on the side of these VA roads and the smell of lilacs.
ReplyDeleteMine are also tulips. I love them in every color. They just make me happy.
ReplyDeleteYour card is simply gorgeous Suzanne. All the details you put into each and every one is simply amazing.
Beautiful card! Love your choice of paper!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! My fav springtime flower is the crocus because it is the first one to show it's brave little face here in NY. BUT my all time fav springtime pleasure is to see the forsythia bushes in bloom- I love them- nothing says hope and Spring like them (around here anyway!).
ReplyDeleteSuzanne your card is stunning as all your cards are. I love the soft colors you used and see why she is your fav now.
ReplyDeleteOh Suzanne, thank you for this beautiful spring time Tilda. Coral is one of the most cheery colors! I love Crocus because they are usually the first one's out. They give us here in the NorthEast the visual confirmation that Winter is over! Carlotta
ReplyDeleteI got a stamping of this Tilda in the last Mingle and just adore her! Wish I had had some of that flower soft when I colored her. Your work is spectacular to say the least! I am only coloring because of all your videos! When things calm down here a bit, I hope to take your online class, so please don't quit giving them until I get to take one! Thank you for introducing me to Magnolia and Victoria Case! They are two of my fav's! Hugs, Barb F

ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne! This card is just ADORABLE! I'll have to be on the look-out for that irridescent paper--haven't seen anything like that before, but it sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring flower--would have to be the DAFFODIL. When I was just a toddler, a lady in my mom's garden club gave her some daffodil bulbs "For Deb"--and would you believe, there were always the same number of blooms every year to match my age, up to about age 20! I'm going to be transplanting some of those bulbs this year to my own place--52 years after the originals were planted!
First off, I am always in awe of your coloring. This card has so many great details. I love the pearls and those fancy corners! We had sunny, beautiful days until today (I live near Annapolis, MD). Now it's raining and yucky! Did you jinx it?!? LOL. Gina L
ReplyDeleteI don't know about springtime but my favourite all time flowers are pink carnations. The card is gorgeous as usual.
ReplyDeleteTHis is just so delightful, Suzanne! I love the soft peach tones and greys that you used. Those flowers are fabulous - a beautiful spray! Love, love the dp! Isn't it gorgeous.

ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful! Your coloring is ALWAYS amazing!! My favorite spring flower would be tulips.
ReplyDeleteAh spring, that most wonderful season of the year when things wake up from their winter sleep. My favourite spring flower is the Trillium. Why you ask? Well, first its our Provincial Flower, and second, it grows wild and I don't have to do a thing in my garden to enjoy it! It truly says "Spring has sprung" to me!
ReplyDeleteThanks again for a great card!
What a beautiful card! thanks for always telling us the colors you use. I love to find combinations I like and try to copy them.

Wow, this card is stunning...and of course, the coloring is amazing! I was just in New York this past weekend, and I have to say that seeing one of my favorite flowers, TULIPS, blooming in the parks, along the streets and in the store fronts was so cheery and springy! Thanks for the great candy! Hugs, Rosemary
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! My all time favorite flower are tulips. They come up in my garden every spring with little work!! So unlike my rose bushes- too much work, lol.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors and all your special details! Another beautiful card Suzanne!
ReplyDeleteVery cute card. My favorite springtime flower is daffodils--they make me smile.
ReplyDeleteShe sure is a cutie & so versatile..plus you did a fabulous job!!! My favorite is the rose...but just having a garden of color would make me happy. I only wish I liked to weed the flower beds. I just hate it so my yard is just basic. I try to add colored plants so Im not too boring.
ReplyDeleteOh wonderful, of course I would love to have this little with Tilda and the flowers' as I have neither of these, I've still to acguire any Magnolias, so this would be oh so grand, and being a march baby my favorite flower is the daffodils, they are so sunny and pretty this time of year. Thanks...Lynn
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card Suzanne. I do love the colors. Soft gray with almost any other color gives it a certain elegance. Aaaand, naturally I love this Tilda. She looks like she is up to something...lololol.
ReplyDeleteI love so many flowers and especially spring flowers, after a long winter. I have to say, Lilly of the Valley is my favorite. Such delicate, sweet bells and a heavenly scent.

Suzanne,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card - I'm so happy to have learned from you to pick the paper and then color your image to match. I used to do it the other way around and it was DIFFICULT!! Growing up in northern FL one of my favorite flowers are azaleas. Those hot pink ones are beautiful when they line the front of your house!!!!!
cardsbyheidi@gmail.com
Beautiful card! My favorite flower is daffodils.
ReplyDeleteHard to choose a Spring flower, there are so many good ones. My favorite are lilacs, love the smell and the dainty blooms.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first post ever! After enjoying your blog for weeks I can keep silent no longer. The card is beautiful...as usual. I love your attention to detail and your eye for color. My favorite spring flower is the daffodil. There's just something about yellow in the Spring that brings a smile to my face.

Another beautiful card. I love the color combo. My favorite spring time flowers are Shasta Daisies. Such happy little flowers, when I was little my grandma would cut a bunch and add food coloring to the water and it was so fun to watch them turn different colors.
ReplyDeleteI just love your card Suzanne. I come everyday to get my ray of sunshine for the day! Beautifully coloured!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite spring flower are pansies!!! I can hardly wait to put my first set of flowers out for the spring...and they are my go to... first thing in the spring!!!
I also am loving your card and choice of papers and colors. My favorite Spring flower is the Blue Flax. They are a wild flower, so basically just leave them alone. They open their beautiful little faces when it is cool and cloudy, but close up when it is too warm and sunny. I transplanted mine from my Mom's garden, so I always think of her when I see them bloom. Linda S. in NE
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne! The card is darling! I can also identify her as my hand is usually stuck in my pocket in the same manner! LOL! I also love tulips but I love poppies also! Both are so colorful and I do love color. I am enjoying the copic classes so much and my colors are blending so well now! Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteHugs,

ReplyDeleteThanks for everything Suzanne!
Beth in Munich
I love this Tilda too.
ReplyDeleteSoft and sweet and just a little sassy too :)
Great job on the card, superb coloring as always and lovely flowers too.
My favorite Spring flower is the Daffodil, so bright and cheery and reminds me of home back in England.
Beautiful card Suzanne, lovely colour scheme you have used, and Tilda is just so pretty.
ReplyDeleteMy fav spring flower has to be daffodils, because of the lovely sunshine they bring into the garden. Rosie x
My favorite flower of spring is the lilac and depending upon the variety it can bloom early spring or later in the summer.
ReplyDeleteYour card is LOVELY - the pink and gray make a beautiful card, subtle and outstanding. I'll have to try those 2 colors together.
I like the way Tilda's hand is tucked into her pocket, then on the opposite side you've tucked the flowers into/along the panel. Favourite Springtime flower is crocus.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance of a Tilda & that amazing paper.

OOPS!! Forgot the flower. Here in the desert my favorite springtime flower is the Ajo Lily. This bulb is deep in the ground and will only come up and bloom in years that we have enough rain to get down to the bulb. We had them this year and they're beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh wow Suzanne, the details on this are just amazing. I am learning so much from your beautiful work. My fave spring time flower here in Australia is the Frangipani....it blooms from October - December and signals Christmas and holidays and what is always a special time of the year.
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne,
ReplyDeleteOf course, you have done it again. A beautiful card. Love your use of the copic pens. With enough practice, I may get as good as you. My favorite flower is Light Pink/Peach Roses. I live in California and they bloom most of the year. I have all colors in my garden. Have a great week (busy as it sounds).
Lovely as always, do you ever post anything that isn't? I love the muted colors and the distressing.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring flower is lily of the valley--had it all over the yard when I was a kid.

Where I work they change the flowers with the season and today I saw pink and yellow tulips, they were beautiful and it brightened my day. Hugs, Stephanie

My favorite spring flower (it's kind of an early summer flower so I'm cheating a bit :o) is the Poppy. We had orange Poppies in our backyard when I was a little girl and I always thought they were so pretty!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card Suzanne!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite flower is peach tulips. That's because my wonderful husband of 19 years (next week) got me those for our first wedding anniversary. His boss at the time knew someone in Florida & had them shipped up for me & it was a great surprise. And I have loved them ever since.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite flower is the tulip. Since I live on the outskirts of Holland, Michigan which is the city of the most awesome Tulip Festival I can enjoy them in masses. If you like Tulips this is certainly the place to visit in May.
It's close...I so love seeing the crocus peeking out of the ground, when it's been so cold. It gives just a hint that warmer weather is coming! (My 2nd is daffodils, or buttercups, as we called them growing up.) Lovely.
ReplyDeleteSuzanne--
ReplyDeleteI love your creations!! I am taking your Copic Class Level 2--it is fabulous!! I have been a stalker of your blog for over a year now. I am also a Magnolia stamp addict. Thanks so much for the chance to win these lovely goodies! You are so kind and generous! My favorite springtime flower is tulips too!!!:)

Suzanne, your work is stunning and you are my inspiration for sure. My favorite springtime flowers are bleeding hearts. As a kid, my mom told me when the blooms were held upside down, they looked like "ladies in a bathtub". Sadly, Mom is gone now but I always pick the first bloom and think of her lovingly.
ReplyDeleteKassy51 at comcast dot net.
This Tilda really is very cute! :) Lovely card.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite springtime flower is probably coltsfoot. It might not be the prettiest flower, but it always makes me smile.
abackman66 at hotmail.com
This is an absolutely beautiful card. Thanks too for sharing how you created it in such detail. I found your 'How to...' info on YouTube and just had to hop on over to see your creations. Now if I can master my Promarkers as well as you use the Copics...!
ReplyDeleteAll the best for your continued blogging.
Tine :)
I was so taken with your marvellous colouring I forgot to tell you my fav spring flower. It is a close call for this top-spot, but I think the daffodil is so cheery especially in all its variations. It is so bright and really brings the garden to life!
ReplyDeleteTine.
Hi Suzanne! Your coloring is just amazing and I honestly don't know how you keep up with everything that you are doing right now!!! Don't you just love the Cryogen White paper!?! That is all I use now! LOVE IT!!! I also love Tulips. So many fun bright colors!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Suzanne. You did a wonderful job. Tulips are my favorite spring flower. I just love it when they finally appear, but they just don't last long enough.
ReplyDeleteHmmm my favorite. Right now, I would say lilies. We are expecting my first niece and her name will be Lily. But Sunflowers and Peonies have a special place in my heart, even more since we lost my Grandmother this year. Sunflowers were her favorites and she always had Peonies lining the back walk up to her house.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! I love purple hyacinths! Greetings from Belgium, Annelies
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne,
ReplyDeleteI love to see daffodils pop open. they are so sunny and cheeful.

Gorgeous card, Suzanne! I just started using Magnolia images and they are so much fun :). My favorite springtime flowers are lilacs :).
