Happy Spring, Happy Everything!

Hello and Happy April 1st to you all (and Happy April Fools Day)!!  I'm so happy it's April--I love Spring and April is always such a beautiful month here on the East Coast!  Easter is this Sunday and we'll be heading to my mom's house this weekend to celebrate.  The kids don't really do Easter Egg hunts or believe in the Easter Bunny anymore (boo hoo) so it's easier to travel for Easter now--last year we were in Hilton Head.  My mom volunteered and I'm no fool--I gladly accepted, LOL!  My job is to bring an appetizer and wine--that I CAN do, hee hee!  On Friday I'm taking the kids down to Washington, DC to meet up with my hubby and we're going to see the Cherry Blossoms on the National Mall--always so pretty!  The weather is supposed to be in the high 70's and low 80's so it will be perfect for walking around DC--we're going to visit Arlington Cemetery as well (can you believe I've lived in this area all my life & never been)!  If you ever get a chance to visit DC you should come during Cherry Blossom time--it's just so lovely to see (I'll share some pics with ya though).

Happy Spring, Happy Everything!

Since it's April 1st that means the Magnolia-licious DT has the April DT Sketch ready for you!!  Claudia Rosa created a wonderful sketch for us all to use this month--very versatile and you can find all the details on the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog HERE!

I wanted to use as many Easter/Spring Magnolia stamps as I could so I created a Peek-a-Book card for you all!  On the front here I've used "Hello Tilda" from the Hoppy Easter Collection at Magnolia-licious HERE--isn't she a cutie!  The papers I've used are a mix of My Mind's Eye papers from my stash--love this company's papers!  On the front I've added some layered flowers and scroll punch outs from my swirl punch.  The trim and photo corners were made with a MS border punch.  The entire front of the card got a layer of Smooch Spritz in Vanilla!

So to make my Peek-a-Boo card, the front panel swings open revealing another cute Magnolia image called "Chicken Tilda" (love her)!  She's colored with Copics as well and then I've added some stickles to highlight and shimmer!  The sentiment is from PTI's set "Egg Hunt" and I cut the acrylic stamp apart (gasp) so I could stack the sentiment to fit (that's the beauty of acrylic stamps).

This lil' cutie was colored with Copics including the background behind her.  I added Diamond Glaze to the egg and then sprinkled MS glitter on top so it's both shiny & shimmery.

And then the card also flips open to reveal the inside--I got to use another Magnolia image called "Easter Egg" on the inside and used a nestability circle in the center of the other panel so you can add a sweet note!

Hope you enjoyed my April Peek-a-Boo card--it was really fun to put together!  You can visit the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog to see the rest of the DT's fabulous projects and join in on the fun too!
And make sure to stop by Magnolia-licious to see all the new stamps in the Hoppy Easter/Spring Collection (and Pirate & Fairytale Collections too, hee hee) right HERE!

See ya tomorrow!
