Happy Spring Blog Hop!!

Hello everyone & happy Sunday evening to ya!!  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  The weather here in VA was FANTASTIC I tell ya--in the mid 70's and sunny--perfect!  We got a lot of chores done including re-doing our front flower beds, taking out shrubs, adding new shrubs and mulching.  I also mowed the grass which I don't mind doing when it isn't 95 degrees with 100% humidity, LOL!  Hubby is still outside finishing the mulch--yes as you know we are vampires and darkness doesn't STOP us, hee hee, we get a lot done at night that's for sure!  I've also been busy working on my projects for the Dirty Girls Gallery on SCS which will be open for everyone to see on the night of the 14th!  Lots to do, as always, lol!

Tonight the Gina K Design Teams are having a "Happy Spring" Blog Hop featuring the fabulous stamp set "Happy Spring"!  And I'm happy to share mine with you tonight!

I got some awesome new paper pads in the mail on Friday and I had to pull one out and use it on my card today!  This paper is by Pink Paislee and it had the perfect gardening/spring colors in it for this lovely stamp set "Happy Spring".  Gina K's fabulous cardstock in Fresh Asparagus & Green Apple match this paper pack perfectly!  The sketch I used is this past Saturday's SFYTT by Jen del Muro HERE--I loved all the fun layers you could add to it!  The vine border punch (isn't it cool-luv it) is by EK Success and all the edges of the papers were distressed with my lil' Tonic Distress Tool--I love ripped, crumpled edges :o)  You can see I paper pieced the gardening gloves with some of the lovely dp--a TIP for ya:  when you paper piece don't forget to add some shading/color to them with your Copics or inks so they look more dimensional as well!  And those are green Robin's Nest Dew Drops on the card as well!

The bow was made with my handy dandy Bow Easy tool--I won't scare you with how many times a week that tool gets used, LOL!

Here's a close up of some of the lovely images from this set.  I used YG97,YG95,YG93,G20,Y02,Y11,Y00 Copics to color with, added some diamond glaze (you could also use crystal lacquer) to the seed packets and Stickles for a lil' sparkle!  A perfect gardening card for a special friend in your life!
