Vintage Baby!

Hi friends! Crazy busy week it's been I tell ya--I'm tuckered out already, lol! Today is 6th grade orientation for my son & he's pretty nervous, poor thing. I hope everything goes smoothly for him so we can have a good start of the school year. My daughter's 8th grade orientation is Friday & she's more concerned w/ what she's wearing & how she's going to do her hair than anything else, LOL! I never worry too much about her, she's pretty much a mini-replica of me (which is why we butt heads all the time, hee hee) and let's things roll off of her & has a "devil-may care spirit". Riley on the other hand is much more thin-skinned & sensitive and gets his feelings hurt very easily, so I always worry about him :o( But that's a mom's job right, worrying all the time? Does it ever get easier? Thank goodness I only have 2 kids cuz' that's all I can handle I tell ya--not like the "Duggar Family" who unbelievably is expecting their 19th kid! Wow--no way jose is that for me, but whatever works for them I guess! They say God only gives us as much as we can handle, so he knew 2 kids was it for me, LOL! Anywho, movin' on for the day........

NewsBitz:

-I have a few openings in my September 26th Copics class still if anyone is interested--please email me & let me know! My next class will be October 11th!

-Getting super close to 300,000 hits on my blog (who woulda thunk it)--that means some super duper BLOG CANDY coming!! Stay tuned!!

-One lucky commenter today on this post only will win a brand new "BOW EASY" courtesy of Susana's Custom Art & Card Design! It's fab I tell ya--I just love it! I'll pick a winner by midnite tonight (EST)!!

*************************************

So today I have a special project for ya!! I was asked by the very sweet Della who is owner of "I Brake For Stamps" to be on her Design Team starting this month--I was happy to accept! She has an amazing array of stamps in her store so you should stop by & check them all out--if you decide you want to buy some goodies use this special coupon code "SAVE10SUZANNE" to save 10% off of your order!! This coupon is good the entire time I'm on the DT so make sure & use it, 'kay!

I decided to use this fabulous collage stamp today called "Welcome Baby Collage"--i just love the elegant & vintage feel it has for a baby card! I stamped it with Versamark Dazzle & then embossed it in black--I haven't embossed anything in forevah I tell ya!! I decided to go with a lavender & black scheme, yes black, hee hee for a more elegant looking baby card. The lavender cs & dp are from PTI as is the matching ribbon (lavender moon)--such a soft color. I used my Bow Easy again to make that double bow & attached a lil' heart charm from my stash and some pearls to finish it off. I just love the way it turned out!

Alrighty I'm outta here for the day--I'll have one more post for ya tomorrow & then I'll be on a vacay from bloggin' until next Tuesday for the holiday!

Suzanne

  5. Wonderful, wonderful card!♥
Congrats on the DT assignment at Della's! Nice! Will she get a DT blog as well now, don't think she's got one...?

I have three boys, and they're all sensitive like your Riley, but the eldest a bit more than his younger brothers. So, I worry about them, like all mothers do with their kids, I guess.

    Have a great day!

    Hugs,
    Aud

  13. Congrats on the new DT assignment! I bet you'll breathe a sigh of relief after the 6th grade orientation is done today. I have 2 girls and each has a very different personality similar to your kids. As mothers, we worry before our kids see the light of day and I guess there's no end to our worrying. Everyday brings a new challenge but also a new joy. Beautiful card and how lovely of you to giveaway a Bow Easy. Hugs, Maria

  17. That card is totally adorable suzanne - I've been getting some yearnings to do some vintage work again - haven't done any in ages, got caught up with the 'cute' stamps for quite a while :0) Will be digging out my stash of vintage stamps while I'm organising and refubing my craft room (yipppeee!)

A Bow Easy would sit so well in my new creative space and would be a grat 'housewarming' gift LOL I'm really wishing hard that I'm the lucky winner ;0)

  36. Love the pink and black on the card! Your video on bows makes it look so simple to get great looking bows. I could realllllly use a bow-easy, since my ribbon gets frazzled after being re-tied several times in an attempt for a decent looking bow. Thanks for the wonderful tutorials.
