New Challenges!!

Hello again my friends! I have a little bit of a lengthy post for you today so I will not waste words and delve right in for ya!! Hope your week is going swell so far :o)

Today marks the start of "Try It Out Tuesdays" for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design Store and *NEW STORE BLOG* called "Follow Your Heart"!! We'd love to have you join us for our challenges---you can upload your creations to SCS or PCP with the keyword "TIOT1" so we can all see. This week's challenge was to create a card/project using the colors of black, white, gray & a POP of one other color!

So I wanted to use another of Karen Lockhart's fabulous new stamps, this one is "Lemons & Bay Leaves" on my project. And it just so happened that yesterday's Technique Challenge #203 on SCS was to make an origami box--directions here! Similar products go for over $20 in little boutiques and this was super easy to put together--you only need 2 sheets of 12x12 dp and some liteweight cardboard (I used a SU insert from their dp packs)! This is some of my favorite dp by Imaginisce called "Black Tie" that I hoard it cuz' I lovee it soooo much :o) I added some diamond glaze to the lemons for a nice shine & the cardstock layers were made with my Nestability Labels 1 and added a ribbon-tie closure and some black glitter dots too! I put in 3 packs of bright yellow post-it notes that you can keep on your desk, but you could load it up with all sorts of goodies!

Make sure and stop by Susana's new store blog to see what the rest of the DT has come up with for the challenge today. We will also have a weekly tutorial/technique on the blog along with spotlighted products! You can also join the new Paper Craft Planet store site for Susana's here -- we will have weekly challenges and prizes and other good stuff, so come join us!

My last card uses this week's Mojo Monday sketch #69 which I had soooo much fun working on. I will definitely use this sketch again! I used some of my new H&M Stamps that I got from their awesome Garage Sale and this fun set is called "The Cat's Meow" cuz' ya know how I love my furbabies :o) I know it's sold out on the store site & I'm not sure if Heather is getting more in, but if you REALLY love it and email her that, maybe she'll get more!!! The dp is from DCWV "Pet Stack" which has the cutest patterns to use. I added a nice helping of diamond glaze to the fish bowl for a glassy shine and some stickles to the lil' goldfish!

I will have Valentine's BLOG CANDY to giveaway tomorrow so make sure and stop by for it!!

hugz,
Suzanne
