Scoot, Scoot, Scooter!

Happy Friday everyone! Hurray the weekend is here again! I am happy to say that we have *Nothing* planned--nothing excites me probably more than it should--lol! This week has been crazy busy and I'm still so tired, so I am soooo sleeping in tomorrow. Thankfully my kids are at the age where they like to sleep in some and know how to get up and fix breakfast and be QUIET (they know not to wake the momma)!! I am also dreading next Friday already because I have yucky jury duty. I know we're all supposed to do our civic duty and yadayada, but I'm really not looking forward to it at all (I hope the case gets dismissed so then I'll be done) so cross your fingah's for me, okay!!

Alright, my card today uses another new stamp from Whiff of Joy. This lil cutie-pie's name is Oakley. Dontcha' just love those names, Willow and Oakley? I really love that these stamps are featuring a little bit older kids which can be hard to come by. This image reminds me of my son racing down the sidewalks on his Razor scooter and me cringing & hoping he doesn't take a nosedive! I had my son "review" this card and he gave it his thumbs up, "it's cool" approval--so I'm guess I'm doing ok w/ them, lol!

This dp is from SU's new Manchester line---I really like that they have alot more "manly" type paper lines this year. I paired it with PTI's kraft and vanilla cs. Oakley is colored with my Copics (what else right) and I cut him out and popped him up w/ dimensionals. I just had to paper piece his hat and jacket pockets--I couldn't resist and I love this dp so much! I distressed the edges of the circle w/ some Colorbox chalk ink and the twill ribbon is new from SU too. The sentiment is from Gina K's "Kindred Greetings for Him"--great if you need to make boy/guy cards. I didn't want to add too many embellies since this is for a boy--I just used the dp to really layer and add texture to the card. For a final touch I added some diamond glaze to his scooter so it's all new & shiny looking (unlike my son's scratched & banged up one, after many falls and tossing on the driveway).

Hope ya like it! I'll be back tomorrow with some of my secret news for ya and another card using my new Whiff of Joy stamps. Can't wait to share the rest of my "news" w/ you all!

Until then...

Suzanne
