Gettin’ Primitive!!

Today is the Gina K’s DT last day showcasing all the NEW stamp sets just released!  I used “Primitive Blessings” (available in clear & rubber) for my card today….its my fave set of this release.  I love vintage, I love antiques and my mom is a huge lover of all things primitive.  The great thing about this stamp set is you can dress it up in MANY ways even for the holidays if you wish….I love versatility!  I kept the color scheme to creams and kraft for a soft, romantic look.  I embossed the kraft cardstock and then just layered on layers of mats and die cuts to create texture and interest within the muted tones.  The sentiment was stamped on a die cut made with SB Tags die.

The tree image was stamped twice into 2 different ink pads for a mixed-look.  Then I used my Liquid Pearls to add pearls to each of the leaves…I was slightly cross-eyed after doing it but it was so worth it.  To me its all the tiny details that make a card so interesting…even if its is painstaking sometimes LOL!

That’s it for me, I’ll see you back here on Friday with some new projects!  Make sure to check out the designer’s fabulous projects below to be inspired with all these wonderful new sets!!
