Little Fairy Who Lived in a Shoe!!

Hello everybody and a Happy November 1st to you all!  Did you all have a wonderful spooktacular Halloween for those that celebrate?  We had some friends over our house for a nice, relaxed lasagna dinner and then sat outside by the fireplace while the "dads" took the kids around our neighborhood.  And yes our front yard was decorated as a Haunted House and graveyard complete with fog machine and spooky music, lol!  Usually I have candy leftover but not this year--there were 100's of kids out, yikes!  Alexa went over a friend's house for a party and sleepover and Riley had is "crew" of 7 friends over after trick-or-treating for pizza and snacks.  The kids have off of school today and tomorrow so it worked out great, lol!  I'm trying to get bunches done over the next few days as I'm off to NC on Thursday for the CMC on the Road Copic Classes!  Then I'm home for a few days and off again to Buffalo and Canada for the last of my Copic classes for this year before the holidays.  I'll be taking off from the week before Thanksgiving until New Year's from classes, traveling and releases.  I'll still be blogging with projects during that time so don't worry, hee hee!  I just like to spend the holidays with my family and really enjoying the season KWIM--its a super special time of the year to me!!

Riley and his band of "brothers" getting ready to go Trick-or-Treating!
(We have an "I don't know what I am", a scary slasher, a scary creeper, Riley, a Caps hockey player and another soldier (aka Riley's best bud Tariq)

Riley as a soldier with his sand mask and glasses and air-soft gun (no ammo tho, lol)!

A Little Fairy Who Lived in a Shoe!!

Since it's November 1st that means its another Copic Creations Challenge for you all!  This time our fabulously whimsical sponsor is Make it Crafty and they have so many fun digi stamps to use!  Our challenge was to make a scene and use browns in our images this time--easy peasy, right?  LOL!  I HAD SO MUCH FUN coloring this image--really I did.  It was like coloring a wonderful page in a coloring book which I've always love to do.  I always liked books with images like this when I was young because I would always think of all the fun rooms it might have inside and who might live there!  So these fun images that the entire DT has used today will surely spark your imagination!!

My image is called "the Boot House" and I just adore this image, so much fun!  I decided that if a fairy did indeed take a shoe and make it a home she would want it to be pretty right? LOL!  Not just a brown shoe, it would be blinged-out and FABULOUS!  So I added pinks and plums to the image to match the paper by Basic Grey "Eva"--I love this paper pad that it's almost gone sadly so I NEED MORE, lol!  The fun little sentiment is from the PTI set "Boards and Beams"-I thought it was appropriate for this image!  The scrolly leaves are from a Marianne Designs die set that I lovee, then I shaded them with ink and added stickles for sparkle!

The image was colored with copics and I used most of the browns in the Earth tones family, lol!  The main boot colors were E59,E57,E55,E37,E35,E34,E31,E40--the plums were V99,V95,V93,V000 and the pinks were R85,R83,R81,RV10!  The I added some bling for our fairy house---stickles on the gutters, ax, flowers and windows and diamond glaze on the rocks and awnings.

A home fit for a fairy!!

Hope you enjoyed this post today and now you need to hop on over to the Copic Creations Challenge Blog to see the other DT's delightful creations and how you can join in on the fun!!  And make sure to stop by the Make It Crafty store to see all their fabulous digi stamps too!

  16. Wow, this is fantastic, your colouring is gorgeous as always!!

Looks like the kids had lots of fun! Costumes are so hard here, they need costumes that fit at school, but can then go over their winter coats or snow suits, depending on the year! lol
