Pixie Vintage!

Happy Wednesday to you all!  Glad you are joining me again and thanks to those who have wished my hubby lots of get well wishes!  He's as stubborn as a mule and doesn't like to rest so we'll see how he recuperates (I'm only allowed to talk about him a little on the blog cuz' he gets embarrassed, lol)!  I'm just hoping to see a little sun today and feel some warmth--it's been cool and rainy here and doesn't help my mojo mood very much ya know, lol!  The sun just energizes me and keeps me going--love the sun! That's why I need to be in the SOUTH---particularly South Carolina, hee hee--gotta keep the dream and goal alive, one day soon I hope!

NewsBitz:

-7 Kids College Fund has some new goodies in stock that you might want to check out!  New & Cute Greeting Farm stamps, The Cinch, and Tim Holtz dies!

-And a special shout out to my good friend Mary Giemza for her "GLEE" card--see HERE!  We're gleeks here in our house (well my daughter and I are) and this card is FABULOUS!!  Love ya Mary & you ROCK!

A Vintage Pixie

Today I'm guest designing for Pixie Cottage Stamps sold at Michelle's Scrapbooking & More---have you checked out their gorgeous stamps!  Oh my I'm in love with so many and quite a few are good for using with the Magnolia stamps as well.  I also got to create a sketch for all the designers and myself to use, so you'll have to hop on over to the store blog HERE to see that and their gorgeous designs.

On my card I'm using "Hannah at the Pond" and I just love this solitary, peaceful scene.  There are a series of Hannah stamps and they're all beautiful and fun to color--this image is a bit larger but I cropped it into a circle with my Spellbinder's nesties.  The papers are new from My Mind's Eye called "So Sophie Graceful" and I love the mix of plums and yellows.  I distressed all my papers with my Zutter Distress tool HERE which Michelle carries in her store---I can't tell you how much I love this tool and how much time it saves me!!  I used a mix of small roses from Wild Orchid and Magnolia flowers (lg yellow) with some Prima leaves around the image.  Some pretty Offray ribbon wrapped around and a bow made with my Bow Easy finishes it off.

I colored my image with Copics (V99,V95,V91 on her dress)--love this plummy combo.  The water of the pond got a nice coat of diamond glaze--then once it was dry I added some smears of stardust stickles (my fave stickle color along with crystal) on top of parts of it for some shimmer.

Hope you like this little cutie and hope you'll stop by the store to check out these cute stamps and more--you won't be disappointed.  And thanks to Michelle, Katie and the store for having me as a guest designer---it was fun and I appreciate you asking me!!
