Rockin' Mrs. Cleaver!!

Hello Friends & thank goodness for Friday's 'eh?!  I love me a good weekend with no plans, LOL and I have NOOOOO plans this weekend.  Alexa wants to get her ears pierced (finally) so we might work that into the schedule.  Granted she had them pierced when she was three but she screamed like we were killing her each time they needed to be cleaned or changed so at age 6 I let the holes grow back in, LOL.  So almost 10 years later she wants to have them pierced again---go figure!  Kids I tell ya!  And is it raining where you are---ugh, I'm ready for some sun and it's supposed to be 60 degrees tomorrow.  YAY--I'm going to spend most of the time outside if I can.  Walk the dogs down the creek and sit on the patio for a bit just relaxing.  I got most of my work done so I can really enjoy a few days off this weekend and spend some time with my family.  I'm thinking some new sandal shopping and a pedicure might be in my weekend plans as well---hubby will LOVE that, LOL.  He cannot understand why I need more shoes every season, hee hee---after 16 years you would think he'd get it, right?  Cuz I know one thing, I'm not changin' LMBO!  Spring MEANS pedicures, new sandals and perhaps a new spring bag in "Suzanne's World" :)

Rockin' Mrs. Cleaver!

Today I get to share a fun project that will make you smile and maybe give out a small *giggle*, LOL!  I adore, adore this image and she is from the new release from Victoria Case for SCACD--they are awesome!  This one is called "Mrs. Cleaver"--appropriate eh?  If you are not familiar with that name, she was the mom in the old show "Leave it to Beaver" (see an episode HERE).  She always vacuumed and cooked in pearls, heels & a dress---loved her but wouldn't wanna be her KWIM, LOL!  I can rock it soooo much better in my jammies or sweats during the day, hee hee!

I pulled my colors from this awesome new SEI paperpad called "Corrine"--I loved the fresh feel of aqua, reds & whites together.  My sketch is from last Friday's "Friday's Sketchers" challenge--I loved the different panels/layers.  The sentiment is from a PTI set that I love.  The large scrolls are Marianne Designs dies, but the mini baby scrolls I added to the flowers is NEW baby scroll punch by Fiskars here (I call it the munchkin' punchkin')!  The red mat behind the circle is one of my fave Spellbinders dies called "Lacey Circles"--I hope they come out with the grand size of this soon :)

She's colored with Copics (BG11,BG10,R29,R22,R20,C5,C3,C1/skin:E11,E00/hair:E18,E17,E11).  I paper pieced her apron BUT make sure when you paper piece that you shade it with your copics to match the shading thru-out the image--or it will look flat.  I put stickles on her her apron trim and shoes and then Viva Decor Pearl Pen (white) for her pearl bracelet.  I put Diamond Glaze on the teapot and cup, after it was dry I added some Silver Stickles for bling!

Hope Mrs. Cleaver gave you a grin today---even if us women today don't rock the pearls and heels we STILL RULE!!!! LOL!  Make sure to check out the rest of the new Victoria Case for SCACD images HERE---you can't help but want a few :)  Have a great weekend!

  6. Love your card, sooooo cute!!! Know what you mean about purse shopping.....I'm a "handbag hog"!!!

But, I do have to ask, what's so warm about 60 degrees? I guess if you live where it snows that would be warm; for us west coast girls, that's still cool weather! It doesn't get warm for us until it hits 70. Guess we're too spoiled or it's all relative to what you're used to, huh????? :) heehee
