Hello all my fabulous friends! How are you today? WOW, what a response I had to my blog post from yesterday (scroll down or
click here to see) and I am humbled and overwhelmed by it all! I guess there are quite a few of you who'd like to meet me and learn to color with those awesome Copics---WAHOO--I wanna meet you all too, LOL! I'm planning a few classes right now so get ready---but if you're interested in me coming to an area near you LET ME KNOW! I need your help to figure out where to hold classes and where there will be enough people interested in coming--if you have a scrapbook store near you that is willing to help out let them and me know! I do not have to have the classes in a store, any kind of safe meeting hall or hotel like space we can set up! So if you want me in your state, just give me a holler--my goal is to visit each state in a few places once a month!!! (and for those in Canada, once I get my passport renewed I'll be up there too)! For those that emailed me I am in the process of getting back to everyone and setting up a schedule soon!
Some other fun stuff for ya too! I've started a FUN CHALLENGE GROUP on the
Color Me Creative Classroom site called the
CMC Copic Challenge Group! It's a fun bi-monthly challenge site to get you using those copic skills in different ways, share your work, make friends and win some fun prizes! You DO NOT have to be a class member to join--just become a member of the main site at
www.scrapbitzcopics.ning.com and click on the GROUPS tab to join up with us! When we reach 100 members I will be having a fun "Jeopardy Themed" night of fun to giveaway some awesome prizes--so come on and bring your friends too!!

Asian Influence!!
One of the themes I've seen both at CHA and in some of the newer products coming out is a strong oriental/asian influence. Beautiful images, papers and embellishments all conveying this oriental feel! While I was at the CHA Supershow I found a fabulous store booth that was doing make-n-takes with Iris Folding (
Designs by Dreamer here). While I had seen this technique before I never had tried it out or knew how easy & FUN it is to do! So what did I do? Yup, bought a bunch more patterns to make more, LOL, so you'll be seeing LOTS more of these from me! And I paired it up with some beautiful new stamps from
I Brake For Stamps "Posh" line of Asian stamps--gorgeous images, see them all
HERE (Asian set 1 & 2)!
I bought some beautiful oriental and handmade papers online a month ago knowing I would have some goodies to use with them. The oriental papers are PERFECT for Iris Folding because they are very thin and easy to fold (the peach polka dot paper is from PTI). I got my papers from
The Paper Studio HERE--they have beautiful papers and I got the sample sizes (2 of each of my faves)! The stamped images are from the
I Brake For Stamps "Asian Set #2" that I embossed in gold and then cut them out.
**REMEMBER to use the Coupon Code "SAVE10SUZANNE" to get 10% off your entire order if you order!**
I also embossed the peach cs with one of my Asian CB folders to give some more texture. The small sentiment is from PTI (mixed messages) and also embossed in gold and then I added a few goldilocks Bella Baubles to finish it off. A fun card to give someone and quick to make as well!
See you back here tomorrow with a new
Copic Creations Challenge Card---what's the prize for joining in on that challenge you ask? How about a FREE Online Copic Class at my Color Me Creative Classroom!!!
Hi Suzanne, I love this. I also love the new challenge part. I can not wait to see what you come up with next. I will be without my internet for the next week, so am bummed about that, but I wll be back. Hugs, Lisa G

Hi Suzanne,
ReplyDeleteLoved your card. I totally love the Asian designs. I have done a bunch of Iris designs for cards and also some that I framed for my friends a few years ago for Xmas. I also have a few hundred Asian stamps that I haven't used much since I started with Cricut cutting! You have just inspired me to get back to my stash now..
