Hey Chickadee!

Happy Saturday everyone!  It's snowing here in VA--blech--I think I need to fly back to CA asap, hee hee!  It was 70 when I left and now it's 15 degrees here--brrrrrrr--no fun at all!  But I am happy that my hubby is home--we haven't seen each other in a week which is very unusual, we usually only go 2-3 days when he travels but this time we both were out of town--I missed him :o)  Hope you all enjoyed my post of pics & products yesterday---I didn't take alot of pics this time at CHA like I did last time, I kept forgetting, LOL!  It has been nice to get back in my craft room & color--I missed my Copics alot!  I've got lots of catching up to do, projects to make and videos to shoot in the next few weeks, busy busy.  And then my son's 12th birthday is on Feb.12th, my mom's bday on the 13th & then Valentine's Day on the 14th--ACK!

Let me re-enact Valentines Day here at my house for you, LOL:  I ask hubby for craft supplies or tools, hubby says no cuz that's not romantic, I whine, he gives in and then pouts cuz' I always pick out my gifts but in the end I'm very happy which means so is he, LMBO!  And Cupid drops some small presents or gift cards off for the kids in the morning on their doorknobs :o)  Hubby gets me, a homemade card and a yummy dinner, hee hee!  What do you do for Valentine's Day?

NewsBitz:

-7 Kids College Fund is still offering the Pre-Order on the Nellie Snellen Flower Punches HERE!  I tried them out at CHA and they're fantastic ( I already ordered mine, hee hee)!!  Make sure and check out Tab's blog HERE to see the new products she's bringing in as well---I can't wait!!  Also don't forget to pre-order your Stampavie stamps HERE---they're all GORGEOUS!!

Hey Chickadee!

Isn't this card just fun & cheery?!  I love it, hee hee--especially since the view out of my windows right now is grey & white--blech--I need bright colors right now!  These cute lil' birds are some new stamps from I Brake For Stamps by I.Peters  that you can see HERE---there is also a set of animals HERE that are so darn cute--they remind me of Weeble Wobbles (remember them? "Weebles Wobble but they don't fall down)!  If you like both sets it's cheaper to by the whole sheet HERE (if you order, remember to use the coupon code "SAVE10SUZANNE" to get 10% off your entire order)

I stamped the birds directly onto my dp by DCWV "The Green Stack" and then cut them out!  Lots of fun details on this card too--notice the lil birds in the paper, they match, hee hee!  The swirls were done with this punch HERE!

I used my new Asian CB embossing folder on the green cs (love these folders), added some ribbon and buttons by PTI and the fun sentiment is from the PTI set "Everyday Button Bits".  I think it's just a fun and happy card--hope it makes you smile too :o)

Stop back by tomorrow for the Copic Creations Challenge--the DT is showing you how to "Feather Colors" with your Copics and Susana's Custom Art & Card Design is the sponsor!!

CHA & Back!!

Hello Everyone & Happy Friday to you!!  I'm back home safe & sound and I've got lots to share with you!  I had a blast at CHA--it's almost a crime to have that much fun I tell ya but boy am I tired.  The time change kills me, standing on your feet all day & not getting much sleep is exhausting!  Our flight out to CA was quite turbulent & I thought I was gonna have to put my "puke bag" to good use, LOL--poor Marti!  When we landed it was torrential rain but cleared up on Saturday and was in the mid 60's the whole time we were there, which was really nice.  While I was flying home last night--hubby was passing me in the air on his way to Las Vegas for business.  It is a VERY rare thing that both of us are travelling, but thanks to GREAT friends (Sylvia & Sally) who took care of my kids & doggies while we were away.  Nothing better than having great friends in your life--thanks guys!!

(Check out the Gina K Blog Hop Below this Post that I participated in last night if you haven't already!)

I got to meet so many of my cyber pals which is always a treat--I met my new BFF's Kerry Donovan Casey & Kristen Catalano, Heather Rollins, Debbie Corbari (my sweet pal), Jeanne Streif, Vicki Garrett (crazy chicka), Jenn Balcer, Cindy Lawrence, Amy Sheffer (my VA neighbor), Kim Hughes, Kim Howard, Shelley Gardner (yes, SU owner), Cath Edelman, Lynn Mercurio, Jessica Diedrich, and tons others!  I had my picture taken by many people which is kinda scary cuz' I'm sure there are ALOT of funky pics of me floating around, LOL!  Lots of fun dinners out with friends, Diana Crick took a few of us girls out to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse & we had ALOT of laughs (ask Diana about the "taxi"--LMBO)!  "Shut the front door" & "Oh My Gawd" will be in my head FOREVER!!  If you ever get the chance to go to CHA you need to--it is a wonderful experience I tell ya!  Summer one is in Chicago--I might be there :o)

Lots of new fab products and gadgets as well---some I have pics of in my slideshow below!  But my faves were:

-New Cuttlebug in Aqua & Dark Pink (aqua will be coming home to me, hee hee) and over 40 new CB embossing folders, new 12" embossing folders, new embossing & cutting folders, and new Quilling dies (cut out & twirl)

-New Prima glittery roses, swirls with mini roses, weathered flowers---all Gorgeous!

-Saw all the New Magnolia stamps (Pirates, FairyTales & Wedding) and new magazine--all too cute!

-New Zutter Paper Distresser--electronic & super cool!  Put your papers in the slot and run them back & forth to distress your papers as much as you want (will be getting this for sure)

-New Slice Hands-Free machine & new cartridges (one of these is coming my way too, hee hee)

-New Ultra Fine Flower Soft---LOVE it!

Bright & Cheery

Just one quick project for ya today, cuz I'm still trying to recover and get back in the hang of things and thought I'd do a Lockhart project to celebrate my cover (cuz that used a Lockhart image too)!  I used a Lockhart stamp called "Zinnias" and colored it with copics--added stickles & diamond glaze to give it some more texture!  The papers are by Basic Grey called "Origins"--I love them because they're so cheery & bright!  I started off using a sketch but then messed it up & turned it into my own, LOL!  The ribbon and buttons are from PTI.  Just a fun & cheery card for your stash!

Slideshow of CHA pics!

Alrighty I'm outta here to go catch up on lots of work, but I'll be back tomorrow with some new projects!

Wishes & Dreams Blog Hop!!

Hi all & Good Evening to ya!!  I got back from CHA in CA late last night and am still trying to recover, LOL--the time change kills me along with all the standing & walking, but it's super fun as well!  I'll have more on my blog tomorrow.  Tonight Gina K is hosting a fun Blog Hop featuring her daughter Alicia's wonderful set called "Wishes & Dreams"--at the bottom of this post are the links to all the blogs participating and a way to join in on the fun as well!

Here is my card for this evening:

I didn't realize how much I missed my Copics while I was away, hee hee--it was great pulling them out again.  I kept the colors monochromatic but high impact---I love navy and white together along with this beautiful set "Wishes & Dreams"!  I pulled out my much un-used Cricket (yes Marti I used it, hee hee) since everyone ragged on me at CHA for never using it, to create the fun large star on the card.  I embossed the sentiment & stars from the "Wishes & Dreams" set with white EP, then traced the star in stickles.  The lil' fairy was colored with Copics (B39,B37,B34,B32) and her eyes got a touch of Crystal Lacquer and her wings were coated in Stickles.  Some fun rhinestone bling finishes it off this starry card off!

Check out these links for even more inspiration:
Now, it's your turn! Please hop over to Gina's blog to add the direct link to your blog post showcasing Alicia's Wishes and Dreams stamp set in the Mister Linkey Box. Gina will have a special prize for the one link that she chooses out of all the participating bloggers - check out her blog for the details.

I'm Robot-ically Yours!

Happy TGIFriday Folks!  Hopefully I'm California bound by the time you start reading this--I'm crossing my fingers the flight is not delayed cuz' right now it's sleeting outside, blech!  And I'm praying the weather is much better in CA than it has been this week--according to the weather report it's supposed to be sunny & in the high 60's (sounds alrighty to me)!

I'll be posting regularly with fun pictures, new products and all the going's on at CHA, so stop back by!!

NewsBitz:

If you didn't see my Explosion Gift Card Box yesterday--make sure & scroll down to see it!!  It's under this post and I'm looking for some input on it, 'kay!!

Robot-ically Yours

Here are my other Pink Cat Studio projects I promised you--these cute LuvBots are from the new digi stamp release yesterday that you can see & buy HERE!  Aren't these just the sweetest lil' robots? I love them, and the boy is sooo perfect for all those young men in your life (and no not a cougar kinda like, LMBO)!  I decided to make a couple of fun Valentines (or they could be birthday cards as well).  I used My Mind's Eye's fun papers called "Love Me Do"--they're so cheerful & happy!

For the Boy RoBot card I kept the design pretty simple, not fussy since it is a BOY card, hee hee!  The yellow cs was embossed with my NEW Cuttlebug Asian folders--they are FABULOUS!  I got mine HERE (cheapest I could find) if you're interested!

This is a fun shaped Valentine that would be so sweet for your kids to give out for Valentines!  I used my scalloped Nestabilities and added some fun paper & the cute lil' Girly LuvBot (love those names).  Both her and the boy robots got diamond glaze on parts of them for dimension and shine!  And when you flip this over, you get.............

This!!  I used a one of my fave Hero Arts sentiment sets (find HERE) and stamped some flowers, then slit the cs in 2 places so I can insert a lollipop!  Fun huh?!!

Alrighty I'm outta here!  Have a fabulous weekend!

Some Buggy Loves Ya!

Hi Friends!  This is an early post since I have 2 POSTS on my blog today--ack!  So much to do, so little, little time, LOL!  If you're visiting here make sure and scroll up to see the other post for Mo's Digital Pencil Blog Hop as well (it will post at 3:30 am EST)!

**************************
Pink Cat Studio Digi Release!!

If you're a regular reader of my blog, then you've seen me do another Explosion Box HERE!  They are super fun to make but they ARE a Labor of Love I tell ya.  Not hard to do, just time consuming and for this Explosion Box below I had to change all the dimensions so that took me awhileto figure out :o)  You can find directions to make an Explosion Box HERE on SCS! (I cut the corner squares out, cuz I like it to pop all the way open)

Today Pink Cat Studio has a fabulously fun Digi Stamp Release for you all--they are all Super Cute (well, yes they really ALL are)!  I used this cute "Luv Bug-Ladybug" and matching sentiment for my project today.  My dp is a mix of PTI and Doodlebug--kept to the black, white & red theme :o)  This explosion box I designed so it would hold a gift card in the center panel--what a fun way to give a gift don'tcha think?!  The empty white scalloped circle is so someone can put a note or fun sentiment on for the recipient!

I colored my image with Copics (R29,R27,R24,R22/C9,C7,C5,C3), cut her out and added her and the sentiment to the gift card holder with dimensionals!  The gift card holder is made to stand up by flaps I folded on the bottom of the holder, cut a slit in my red cs and attached the flaps underneath with Scor-Tape.

This closer-up pic shows the flowers swirling around on acetate--to do this I cut a circle out of a transparency and then cut it into a spiral, attaching both ends to either side of the box.  Then I added these fun Petaloo Dazzler Flowers (super sparkly, love 'em and guess what--they're 25% off HERE) flowers to the acetate swirl--this will bend up when the box is closed and then spring ALIVE when open, hee hee!

This is the lid & outsidde of the box--I colored and cut another "Luv Bug-Ladybug" image and added it to some nestabilitie cut-outs with dimensionals.  Some more Petaloo Flowers and pearls and then I coated the Ladybug's wings & antennae with some diamond glaze for a nice shine!  If you are interested in a pic tutorial and/or directions & dimensions on how I did this, email me and let me know---if enuff of you want it I will do it after I get back from CHA!!

Now hop on over to the Pink Cat Studio Blog HERE to see the rest of the fab DT projects and as always you can shop for your new Digi's right HERE!  (those cute ROBOTS are perfect for Valentine projects--stop by tomorrow to see mine)!!

Treats for You!!

Howdy Friends and Happy Thursday!  Still struggling with this cold, but am slowly improving--thanks to everyone who suggested the oral Zicam (nasal bad I know) it seems to be helping!  Lots to get done today, not enuff hours I tell ya---getting my hair done today cuz' I had to cancel yesterday, my head was hurting too much & my nose was dripping--blech!  Then I've got to finish laundry (cuz it won't do itself while I'm gone for sure), do 4 more projects, pack, print out all my tix, check my to-do lists and then maybe sleep for a few hours--ACK!  Can you see me freaking out here? LOL  Just breathe Suzanne & it will be okay--is my mantra today, hee hee!  I will be posting while I'm at CHA so make sure & check in for projects, pics and new products!

Today I have TWO POSTS--yes it's one of those days, LOL!  So the post below this is the Pink Cat Studio Digi Release post and I made a really cool gift card/explosion box for ya'll to see!  And tomorrow will be a fun Valentine post as well!

Mo's Digital Pencil "Dream Team Blog Hop"

Since it's the third Thursday of the month, that mean's Mo's Digital Pencil's Dream Team has a fabulous Blog Hop for you!!  This month it's hosted by Kerttu and she callenged us to make some treat/goody bags!  She also asked Mo draw us a fabulous new "Cupid In Love" image for us to use (you can buy this cutie HERE)!  I created this fun box to hold some treats, in this case I altered a mini notepad with pen and a sweet bag of Valentine M&M's!  I'm LAST on this Blog Hop, so if you're starting with me make sure & go to the beginning at Kerttu's Blog HERE!

This box is called an "Ornament Box" and was created by Katie Renz for Scor-Pal--find directions HERE!  It's really easy to make, I just changed my cut-out to a heart with my heart Spellbinders and decorated it with this fabulously cute "Cupid in Love" image, some swirls made with THIS punch, Prima Roses, and some Prima Pearl Swirls. (love that Prima, don't ya?)  The top has a loop of ribbon that pulls the lid off, I decorated it with a bow and some more flowers.

I altered a small notebook that I had in my stash (my very large altered item stash, hee hee) with some more cs and dp, added some pearls & swirls (rhymes, hee hee--I'm a poet & don't know it) and another smaller image of "Cupid In Love" (that's the beauty of digi stamps, you can adjust the size, flip it & other fun things).  I stamped this heart with a different sentiment from THIS "Flourishes" set (love the font)!

Lil' Cupid was colored with Copics (the pinks I used are R85,R83,R81) and then stamped the Love sentiment from the Flourishes set.  Because you can't put Stickles on a digi image (it will smear the ink) I put diamond glaze on Cupid's wings and around the heart then sprinkled fine crystal glitter on top!

Hope you enjoyed the Blog Hop Today and got lot's of Sweet Ideas from the Dream Team!  Make sure and stop by Mo's Digital Pencil to SHOP (hee hee) or go to the beginning of the HOP at Kerttu's Blog HERE!

Make sure and scroll down to see my Pink Cat Studio Digi Release Post!!

What's Black & Blue All Over!!

Happy Middle of the Week my Friends!  Ack--only 1 day until I leave and I have sooo much left to get done that I'm getting super-stressed.  Today I'm trying to finish up a few projects for next week for when I'm gone and gotta run & get my hair cut today too, catch up on laundry, and pack still!  Eeekk, how did this week fly by so fast already.  And just my luck I have a NASTY head cold that is NOT going away and is slowing me down big time AND it's supposed to snow on Friday.  Could my luck be any better?  NOT!  I hate flying and now I'm just praying the weather is ok and our flight (I'm flyin' with my pal Marti) is not delayed--cuz' then I will freak!  I've got my Dramamine all ready to put me to sleep though, LOL!

If anyone is going out to CHA and wants to see me (who me? LOL), I will be at the SuperShow on Saturday, working in the Scor-Pal booth all day Monday and all around the CHA floor the other days :o)

***********************************

NewsBitz:

What's Black & Blue?

Okay, I was so sick of using pink & red the past couple of weeks I had to pull out some black to offset all that sweetness, LOL!  (although tomorrow I will have more pink, LOL)  I pulled out one of my all-time favorite Lockhart Stamps called "Sweet Peas", my Anna Griffin Toile paper and some pretty aqua cs.  This card matches my craft room, hee hee, so it makes me HAPPY!  The aqua cs was punched with a Fiskars Border Punch which I lovee!

The image was colored with Copics (BG32,BG11,E43,E41,G24,YG67) and cut out with my circle nestabilities.  To add more texture there are black & clear stickles on the flowers, diamond glaze on the vase and I used a CB folder "Textile Texture" for the Nestabilities Labels 9 cut out.  Lots of texture can make a simple card really POP!  Hope you like it!

See ya back here tomorrow!!

Cheer Ya Up!!

Hello & Happy Tuesday to you all!  It was so nice having a 3-day weekend, even if I did work on 2 of those days getting projects done, LOL!  Did anyone watch the Golden Globes--always my guilty pleasure every year although I mostly watch to see the fashion, hee hee--one day I'll wear a dress like that (yeah right) but a gal can dream!  My daughter is OBSESSED with that show "Glee"--I don't much care for it, but what do I know--she was happy to see them win & my son was grossed out when Meryl Streep & Sandra Bullock smooched (I just laughed)!  Love Sandra Bullock!  No big shockers though--so that was disappointing, I love to see someone make a boo-boo with their speech or fashion choice, makes it all the more interesting ya know.  I may not dress like a movie star but I love to see what they wear, and of course when they dress bad I think "How?" cuz' they have $$$, stylists and they pick out the ugliest stuff sometimes, LOL!  I don't want a stylist but the clothing budget would be nice me thinks :o) !!!

NewsBitz:

- 7 Kids College Fund has lots of new Stampavie Stamps on Pre-Order right now & they are CUTE!  I ordered a few myself cuz' I couldn't help myself, hee hee!  Check out the *NEW Sarah Kay Stamps HERE, *New Penny Johnson HERE, *NEW Gillian Roberts HERE and the rest of them HERE!  You'll love 'em!

A Vintage Valentine

I'm just pleased as punch with how this card turned out I tell ya, LOL!  I used some fabulous new Collage Hearts from I Brake For Stamps HERE (I used Large Camelia Heart & Small Primrose Heart)--I got the whole sheet actually & can't wait to use the Paris collage stamps too!  (If you order, make sure & use the coupon code "SAVE10SUZANNE" to get 10% off your whole order)  I used some more of my K&Co "Life's Journey" dp, love the vintage paper along with some more cream, pink & kraft cs.  The border was made with a MS border punch and the sentiment is from Flourishes.  I stamped the hearts in SU pink ink and then added some stickles for sparkle after I distressed them a bit with my Inkssentials Blending Tool (a must have tool imo and I use SU's creamy caramel to distress).  Some PTI buttons, ribbon and Prima Pearl flourishes to finish it off!

Perfect for Valentine's Day or just a sweet card for a loved one!!  Don't forget to stop by I Brake For Stamps & see all the fabulous new stamp HERE!!

Try It Out Tuesday Challenge #51

This bright and cheery set is for today's "Try It Out Tuesday Challenge #51" which was to use a stamp from the fabulous, new Victoria Case for SCACD "Aurora Collection" and to make an altered item of some sort!  Well I've had a few of these cute, mini baskets hanging around my craft room for awhile so I grabbed one up to alter to match my card.  I used "Aurora with Bird" for my card--I think that bird is sooo cute and I had to make him a lil' red bird to match, lol!  These stamps are exclusively at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design!

My card uses some new dp by DCWV called "Mariposa" and I love the fresh, cheery colors and butterfly images!  My image was colored with Copics, then I added some stickles and diamond glaze (to the nuts and eyes) and some fun polka dots with my white pen.  My butterfly is from a MS punch--(TIP: to make it more decorative & matchy, I used a hole punch & then snipped the lil circle punches in half & attached the the butterfly's wings).  I used my Bow Easy for my bow and added some Prima rose & flowers. (IF you want a great deal on Prima Roses, Susana has all the colors in stock and you get 24 of them for only $3--a deal I tell ya)

To decorate my basket I cut strips of my red cs and attached it around the basket & on the handle, then I added some more dp and a flower to match the card.  The tag was cut with my Nestabilities Labels 4 and the sentiment is from PTI's "Spring Tags" set.  This would perfectly hold some fun little treats or even a gift card, maybe some special bird seed for a bird-loving friend would be cute too!

View from the top-LOL!
Now make sure & hop over to the Follow Your Heart Blog to see all of the DT's lovely projects for you today--you won't be sorry you did :o)

See ya back here tomorrow--only 3 more days till I leave for CALI (ackkk, I'm not ready yet, LOL)!!

A Parade of Pink-a-licious-ness!!

Hello & Happy Monday to you all!!  Hope the weekend was good to ya!  I had a great, relaxing weekend--got some rest in, got some work done & spent time with the family!  I had a nice lil' "field trip" to AC Moore & JoAnn's--LOL--got some new goodies that I used on some of my projects today.  I really need to stop getting stuff cuz' I tell you--I HAVE TOO MUCH! LOL!  Seriously, I have so much un-opened things that it's ridiculous & I dig thru this big bin that I keep all my new stuff in and it's crazy over-filled I tell ya--what is wrong with me, hee hee!  I need a 12 step program for "How to stop buying craft supplies" ya know--anyone else want to join this group with me?  (giggle)

Big thank you's to everyone who welcomed me into the "SCS Dirty Dozen Team"--it is such an honor, I'm thrilled to be on it and I thank all of you for your lovely comments of support and kindness--it means alot to me!  So thanky you to everyone!!  If you are a Fan Club Member at SCS (if not & you want to be see HERE) and have seen my gallery there, those cards are all for SALE (minus the blue shoe set) but I can not post them here or on Etsy--just email me and let me know if you'd like one.

"Pretty In Pink" Blog Hop

Today the Magnolia-licious DT has a fabulous Blog Hop for you featuring projects that are all "Pretty In Pink"--perfect for upcoming Valentine's Day!!  I created a fun, frilly & super pink gift set--I had so much fun putting all of this together yesterday that it was almost a crime, hee hee!  My set features a card, a journal/notebook and a t-shirt using the fabulous Magnolia image "Tilda Throwing Hearts" (which is from Magnolia-licious)!  You can see all the Valentine inspired Magnolia stamps right HERE too!  At the end of this post you see who to hop over to next, but don't forget to stop by the "Magnolia-Licious HighLites Blog" HERE to get all the details on how you can join in on this with us!! But if you're starting with my blog, you might want to start at the beginning with my pal Kerry Donovan-Casey and her lovely creation!

On my trip to Jo-Ann's yesterday I picked up some of this yummy paper by DCWV--I love the fun pattern and pretty ice cream colors!  Tilda Throwing Hearts is colored with Copics (R85,R83,R81) and then I cut the image out with my circle nestabilities, leaving out the hearts that are in the air for a fun touch!  I created some paper lace (courtesy of Norma from My Craft Room--see her tutorial HERE) using a MS border punch and then wrapped it with ribbon & a bow!  The swirly corners are actually a Spellbinder's die "Fancy Tags" that I cut off the ends to use and added pearls & a Prima mini rose.  And of course there are lots of stickles and a lil' double heart charm to finish it off!

While I was at Jo-Ann's they had the cutest lil' journals in their $1 section so I picked up a couple of course (don't ask me how many journals I have in my closet waiting to be altered--it's a travesty I tell ya, LOL)  I covered up the center section leaving the fun polka-dots & swirls uncovered cuz' they're soooo cute!  I added some Prima flowers/roses and Hero Arts print flowers to the corner.  The "Me&My Big Ideas" is from PTI's "Take Note" set that I just love--then I used my "Fancy Tags" die again to mount the sentiment on.

This is my headless daughter!! LMBO!  She was having a bad hair day (according to her) so she didn't want me to show her head, hee hee!  I bought a bunch of these white t-shirts eons ago with the sole purpose of prettying them up and this is the 1st one I've used so far!  I bought some iron-on transfer sheets to stamp my image and then color it with Copics (tricky to color on these sheets--tip: colors come out darker and are hard to blend, one layer of copics only)--I had to re-do this image twice before I finally figured out how to color it properly.

I added some hearts and "Love" sentiment from a PTI set that I stamped in PTI's Palette Ink (berry sorbet) which is permanent & washable.  I also added some rhinestones with fabric glue and some glitter glue for lots of sparkle--I LOVE how it turned out, I think it's so cute!   I have sooo many t-shirt ideas now, hee hee--this whole set is for sale in my Etsy Shop HERE if you're interested (the shirt was washed & heat set & is ready to go)!

Now to continue on the Blog Hop today, next up is Diana Crick (fabulous owner of Magnolia-licious & my good friend) and you can visit her on the new Store Blog HERE!  Hope you're inspired to create some pink-a-licious fabulousness yourself now!

*******************************
A Lockhart Valentine

My second pink-a-licious project for you today features a beautiful Lockhart stamp called "Heart Wreath"!  The beautiful paper is from K&Co's "Life's Journey"--my new favorite pack of papers, LOVE IT and I paired it cream, pink & kraft cs!  The image was colored with Copics and then I added a few stickles to the image.  I created some more paper lace (courtesy of Norma--link above) with a new MS border punch and backed it with pink cs to make it really pop--isn't it lovely!?  A pretty quick card to put together but so romantic & lovely me thinks!

Alrighty, glad you hung in there with me for this very long post, lol!  I'll see ya back here tomorrow!

Let's pause & say it together "Awww, isn't she the cutest lil' sprite?"--hee hee!  This my friends is "Aurora with Tulips" and I just ADORE her!  This collection by Victoria Case for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design is just beyond cuteness--you will love little Aurora and her friends and you can see them all HERE!  The DT is putting on a Blog Hop for ya today and I'm the last one on the stop!!  So if you're starting here with me you need to head to the start of the (blog hop starts at 4 am EST) Blog Hop with Jennifer Greco HERE!!

I think the dp is by Anna Griffin or K&Co. but I'm not sure--it was a scrap leftover (which I'm faithfully trying to use) paired with PTI cs!  She's of course colored with Copics and there's lots of stardust stickles and diamond glaze too!  I used my Nestabilities Labels 8 to cut the image out & outlined it with stickles--I layered lots of Prima flowers and roses together too!  I painted the edges of my cream Prima Roses with Light Purple Inspiration Paints to match & to make them shimmery!  I used my swirl punch and then added some pretty lilac pearls to bling them up a bit!

Now make sure & hop to the beginning of the Blog Hop with Jennifer HERE & stop by the store HERE to get your Aurora cuties!!

Copic Creations Challenge Blog

So since today is the 15th that means it's also another Copic Creations Challenge--this time our challenge was to color Ethnic Skin Tones and our sponsor this week is Phindy's Place (she has super cute digi stamps)!  I'm using "Love Cycle" today and she comes in both caucasian & African American styles--isn't she fab!  I used my fab new Basic Grey "Origins" papers because they're so retro, fun & cheerful!  She's colored with Copics (duh, lol) and her skin was colored with E25,E13,E11-- I also have a Copic Video on coloring African American Skin on my Tutorial/Template page.  I added some more Prima layered flowers (yes, I am on a Prima flower binge, hee hee) and some fun PTI buttons to the wheels of her bike.  The sentiment is from PTI's "Everyday Button Bits", diamond glaze on her bike and balloon and the grosgrain ribbon is from PTI as well!

Now make sure and stop by the Copic Creations Challenge Blog HERE to see all the fab DT samples and to join in the fun as well!

Now I'm going to go REST for awhile, because these past 4 weeks with Xmas activities, putting Xmas stuff away, doing Dirty Girl projects and regular DT projects has WIPED ME OUT, lol!  Jammies, chair & Kindle coming up...........

Panda-licious!!

Hi All & Happy Thursday!  Another week almost over and thank goodness for that---I'm looking forward to doing NOTHING this weekend!  No cleaning, no Xmas stuff putting away, no errands--just hangin around the house & lots of reading for me :o)  It is actually gonna break 50 degrees on Saturday--whoah nelly-that's a heat wave for sure since it's been in the 10's & 20's for 2 months now!  I might have to break out the shorts & suntan lotion for that, LMBO!!

I sure hope the weather is fine when I fly out to CA next week--I HATE flying (flying & claustrophobia are my 2 fears) and I hate it even more when it's nasty weather.  My poor friend Marti has to put up with me, but I will have some sleepytime Dramamine in my system to keep me calm, lol!  But other than the flying part, I'm really excited to go to CHA again this year--I had such a blast last year!  If you're out at CHA and wanna meet me, I'll be at the Scor-Pal booth all day on Monday so stop by and say "HI" okay!!  I'll be blogging of course while I'm gone, so make sure & stop by to see updates on all the new CHA stuff too!

Pink Cat Studio Digi Release

Today is another fabulous digi stamp release from Pink Cat Studio and I've got 2 fun projects to share with you!  I ADORE this lil' panda stamp Melissa created called "Panda Holding Heart"--isn't he/she a cutie pie!  I started to put this card together using this week's Mojo Monday Sketch #121 to make a Valentine card, but I got to thinking and it was calling out to a Baby Card :o)  It still would make a fabulous Valentine card just by switching out the sentiment too.  I'm not sure who the dp's are by since I dug them outta my scrap basket, but lil' Panda is colored with Copics and then I added diamond glaze to his heart, nose & eyes.  The sentiment is a rub-on from SU, bow was made with the bow-easy and finished off with some pearls!  Panda-licious I say!!

For my second project I used the same cute Panda but this one is called "Panda Holding Heart-BACK"!  I've had a brand new package of large lollipop sticks cluttering up my desk for weeks, waiting patiently for me to use them, LOL!  Well they got used finally, hee hee--I made these fun Valentines that would be fabulous Valentine favors, kid's Valentines or just a treat for your loved one (this one is for my hubby)!  The hearts are cut-outs from my Nestabilities that I embossed with a few different CB embossing folders.  The red cs was embossed with the CB folder "Candy Cane" and then I added stardust Stickles to the stripes.  The sentiment is from the "Feeling Groovy" set from Verve Stamps.  The backside of my Valentine holds a personal message to my hubby & a piece of Dove chocolate--I'll stick this in his briefcase on Valentine's Day before he leaves for work!!

Hope you liked my projects today--but don't forget to stop by the Pink Cat Studio Blog HERE to see all of the DT projects!  And stop by the store HERE to see all the new digis including the new backgrounds!

See ya back here tomorrow with lots of news & fun announcements & releases!!

Wheeeee!!

Hello Everyone & Welcome to the middle of the week!!  Is January over yet?  I swear I'm ready for April aleady--I need more sun, more green & more warmth, it's driving me crazy!!  The South is just calling my name, can you hear it shout "Suzanne, move here it's warm!", LOL!  Well ok, if you can hear that than you're just as crazy as me and we're in good company together, hee hee!  But unfortunately there are a few more months of cold weather ahead so I just gotta bear down & deal with it.

Below I have a few answers to a BUNCH of questions about the "Belly Fat Cure" (see book HERE)--I am officially down 9 lbs today & I am soooo psyched!  Last nite we had cheeseburgers, skillet fried potatoes & some blackberries & a pickle--low sugar ketchup included (and that stuff is pretty darn good)!  I love being able to eat real food, just watching my carbs & sugars--I'm not good with the willpower stuff, I lack that gene, lmbo!  You can access Jorge Cruise's site & blog right HERE!

-You do get to eat sugar, but only 15 grams or 5 grams per meal!  You will be AMAZED to see how much sugar is in stuff--I was eating a week's worth of sugar in 1 day people!  CRAZY--no wonder the weight around my hips & stomach wasn't budging!

-Carbs are limited to 120 grams a day which is easy peasy!  You can still eat butter & bread--yay for me!  When you eat too many carbs & sugars it creates insulin excess in your body which tells your body to HOLD onto all the fat not get rid of it!  I'm proof and I'm a born natural skeptic, but I've lost almost 10 lbs just by following this!

-I use Stevia now and it's really good--it's a natural sugar!  Any fake sugars like Splenda or Aspartame is really bad (I did know this for a long time)--they cause cancer in lab animals, so think what it does to your body!

-I was able to give up my soda by taking caffeine pills once a day so I didn't have withdrawal, but coffee & tea are allowed on the plan. But not milk (wahh), only almond milk which is ok but not great--guess I'll get used to it--who knew milk had so much sugar in it!

-Don't laugh but I'm making this delicious chocolate cake with chocolate icing with Stevia, soy flour, cocoa & black beans--yes, black beans, but I'm told it's YUMM-i-LICIOUS!  I'll let ya know :o)

Wheeeee!

Today I have a card for you that represents all things winter, cuz' yeah it's still winter whether I like it or not, lol!  Poor little "Edwin on Sled" was feeling neglected so I had to pull him out & use him before Spring comes--you can find him HERE at Magnolia-licious!  I knew as soon as I pulled him out that he'd be perfect for a stair-step card (you can find directions for this kind of card HERE).  The tree is a Spellbinder's die--I cut 2 of them, bent the 2nd one & attached it with scor-tape so it was 3-D!  I added some DecoArt SnowWriter and MS Snow Glitter for the frosty accents.

The dp I used on this card is from Magnolia--love the colors, it matches my SU soft sky (hoarded paper) perfectly and I paired it with some chocolate brown cs to ground all the light colors a bit.  The sentiment is from the PTI set "Rustic Snowflakes"--love this set!  The snowflakes were done with Marvy & MS punches & then I added some MS snow glitter.  I cut the snowy hills free-hand :o)

Little Edwin was colored with Copics (BG75,BG72,BG11,BG10/E25,E44,E43,E42,E41) and then I cut him out & popped him up with dimensionals!  He reminds me of my son who loves to ski, sled & snowboard outside till his nose freezes, lol!  Hope you liked my frosty winter card as well!

I'll see ya back here tomorrow!!
