"Pretty In Pink" Blog Hop
On my trip to Jo-Ann's yesterday I picked up some of this yummy paper by DCWV--I love the fun pattern and pretty ice cream colors! Tilda Throwing Hearts is colored with Copics (R85,R83,R81) and then I cut the image out with my circle nestabilities, leaving out the hearts that are in the air for a fun touch! I created some paper lace (courtesy of Norma from My Craft Room--see her tutorial HERE) using a MS border punch and then wrapped it with ribbon & a bow! The swirly corners are actually a Spellbinder's die "Fancy Tags" that I cut off the ends to use and added pearls & a Prima mini rose. And of course there are lots of stickles and a lil' double heart charm to finish it off!
While I was at Jo-Ann's they had the cutest lil' journals in their $1 section so I picked up a couple of course (don't ask me how many journals I have in my closet waiting to be altered--it's a travesty I tell ya, LOL) I covered up the center section leaving the fun polka-dots & swirls uncovered cuz' they're soooo cute! I added some Prima flowers/roses and Hero Arts print flowers to the corner. The "Me&My Big Ideas" is from PTI's "Take Note" set that I just love--then I used my "Fancy Tags" die again to mount the sentiment on.
This is my headless daughter!! LMBO! She was having a bad hair day (according to her) so she didn't want me to show her head, hee hee! I bought a bunch of these white t-shirts eons ago with the sole purpose of prettying them up and this is the 1st one I've used so far! I bought some iron-on transfer sheets to stamp my image and then color it with Copics (tricky to color on these sheets--tip: colors come out darker and are hard to blend, one layer of copics only)--I had to re-do this image twice before I finally figured out how to color it properly.
I added some hearts and "Love" sentiment from a PTI set that I stamped in PTI's Palette Ink (berry sorbet) which is permanent & washable. I also added some rhinestones with fabric glue and some glitter glue for lots of sparkle--I LOVE how it turned out, I think it's so cute! I have sooo many t-shirt ideas now, hee hee--this whole set is for sale in my Etsy Shop HERE if you're interested (the shirt was washed & heat set & is ready to go)!
Now to continue on the Blog Hop today, next up is Diana Crick (fabulous owner of Magnolia-licious & my good friend) and you can visit her on the new Store Blog HERE! Hope you're inspired to create some pink-a-licious fabulousness yourself now!

A Lockhart Valentine
My second pink-a-licious project for you today features a beautiful Lockhart stamp called "Heart Wreath"! The beautiful paper is from K&Co's "Life's Journey"--my new favorite pack of papers, LOVE IT and I paired it cream, pink & kraft cs! The image was colored with Copics and then I added a few stickles to the image. I created some more paper lace (courtesy of Norma--link above) with a new MS border punch and backed it with pink cs to make it really pop--isn't it lovely!? A pretty quick card to put together but so romantic & lovely me thinks!
Alrighty, glad you hung in there with me for this very long post, lol! I'll see ya back here tomorrow!

ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne. What a wonderful card - and accessories (hope your daughter is happier with her hair today!). Your DP reminds me of neapolitan ice cream with maybe a dollop of caramel sauce on top, and fudge sauce too in the brown paper lace. All the elements work so well together to make a positively charming card - and the extra matching goodies. As I go from blog to blog, I can almost feel the excitement of the planning, getting ready to show us your wonderful cards. Bravo!
