It's Wednesday Friends so we're almost to the weekend, hee hee! This is an endless week it seems for me as the end of the month always is! Lots of deadlines, new releases & kids activities to get thru this week and then my mom & sister will be here on Saturday! Ack--too much to get done I tell ya & not enough hours in the day (and not enuff' light either, I miss the daylight, boo-hoo)! This is definitely not my favorite time of year--I like having the sun until 8 pm, feels like I have more hours in the day ya know which I definitely need!
Tonight is back to school night for my daughter (8th grade) so we get to go around & meet all her teachers & find out what's goin' on this year! Can you believe she had to pick her high school courses out already---gee whiz, it's just the beginning of the year! But she'll continue with AP/Honors courses, Spanish 3 and Women's Choir--sadly neither of my children love art the way I do (sigh)! She'll start high school next year with 2 language credits & Algebra I already done--seems they just push 'em thru to the next thing nowadays, but she does well so I don't worry too much! Thank goodness I'm done w/ school now, hee hee :o)

-World Card Making Day is this Saturday & Split Coast Stampers has a day-long event planned. I'm running the challenge for Magnolia-licious at 3 pm (EST) so stop on by & say hi! The challenges will be fun & of course there will be TONS of prizes!! Link to the thread is on my sidebar (will be active at 10 am EST on Saturday, October 3rd)
If you are a long time reader of my blog, you've probably seen me make these "Feel Better" Kits before. I love making them, they're fast & simple to put together for all those sickie-poo occasions (especially at this time of year)! This fabulous image is from Stampavie/Helz Cuppleditch and it's called "Ruffles Get Better Soon"--isn't that lil doggie the cutest? You can see the whole collection HERE at 7 Kids College Fund! The dp is Basic Grey's "Marrakech" paired w/ PTI's lemon tart cs and SU's groovy guava. The buttons and sentiments are from PTI as well (sentiments from Everyday Button Bits & Mega Mixed Messages)!
To make these kits you just need to cut a piece of cardstock 3.5x10" and then score at 4.5" & 5.5". You'll be able to fit a travel pack of Kleenex, a chapstick & a throat lozenger which is perfect for someone who's feeling under the weather! I attached all the goodies with Scor-Tape so it doesn't move around--super strong stuff! You can also make a closure for this pack using a strip of cardstock & a magnet (I use these BG magnets here--my fave), which I sometimes do!
Here's a close-up of this lil' cutie Ruffles the dog--I just love him! I colored the image w/ copics, added diamond glaze to his bandage & some stickles to the flowers on the couch! Too cute!
See ya back here tomorrow--it'll be a long post tomorrow since it's the 1st of the month! I've got projects for Copic Creations, Magnolia-licious October Sketch & Pink Cat Studio Digi!! So come back now ya hear, LOL!!
hugz,
Suzanne
