Hello and happy Thursday friends!! I am still under the weather and did not get ANYTHING done yesterday, so I'm hoping to work on a few things today (fingers crossed)! Only 2 weeks until Xmas--ahhhhh--so much left to do!! I'm working on a couple of tutorials for ya too, hopefully I will have one up for ya next week.
I love these snowman images from Whiff of Joy--this Herb kissing his snowgirl is too cute! The sentiments from Whiff of Joy are perfect with all of their new stamps too. (I will tell ya that my lovely son said it looked like decapitation to him--oh boys, LOL) I wanted to make this card vintage shabby chic and this Cosmo Cricket dp helped with that! Lots goin' on in this card--it took me awhile to put together too, lol! I colored w/ Copics and then rubbed 2 different Memento inks around the image to shab it up. These new Nestabilities (labels 1) are just brilliant--I layered 2 here. The round corners and border was done with a Fiskars border punch. The snowflakes are actually stickers from SandyLion that I coated with my Martha Stewart snow glitter and then added SU buttons on top. Used more of the snow glitter around the image--I just applied my diamond glaze around the edges to apply the snow glitter, super easy!
Hope your preparations for the holiday are going well! I'm leaving you with this cute holiday crafter's poem that's been going around:
Twas the night before Christmas, I'm glued to the tree.
I'm wondering what Santa brought just for me.
Could it be cardstock or chipboard or lace?
Or a Cricut, I said, with a smile on my face.
And that's when I heard him,
"Hi Santa, " I said
"You know....good little girls
should be in their beds."
"I know I should Santa,
and now I've got caught.
But I was just so excited
To see what you brought."
"Well, let's take a look
in this room where you work.
He shook his head quickly,
And left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim
as he put it in gear.
"You've got enough crap,
I'll see you next year!"
