Happy Wednesday everyone! 22 Days & counting my friends!! I had a wonderful time with my friends at my holiday luncheon yesterday. Lots of yummy food and fun talk! Thanks guys for kicking off the holiday season w/ me :o) I'm sharing some pictures with you today of my house decked out for the holidays--I haven't finished the outside yet so those pics will come later this week!

I had to share a picture of one of the wonderful gifts I got yesterday (thanks & hugz to you all) from my friend Alex. She's a wonderful & talented sewer and she made me this decorative pillow matching up my blog header and colors to perfection. Isn't this the prettiest "blog pillow" you've evah seen? My biggest wish for the New Year besides the obvious of world peace would be for my hubby to find a full time permanent job. His company is closing and his last working day was on Nov. 21st. He had surgery in July and just barely got back to working 6 hours a day on light duty. He will be 61 years old on Dec. 22nd so this might prove to be a bit of a challenge for him.

ReplyDeleteMy wish for the new year is also for an economic turn around. My husband returned to work in October after being on disability for 5 mths. He is on the mend but needs additional surgeries. Since he's been back to work his hours were cut, due to the slow economy. It's been tough but we're hanging in there.

ReplyDeleteI guess my biggest wish for the New Year would be to find a job with hours that will work for my family. I haven't worked since I was pregnant with my youngest who is now 5 and we have been feeling the financial crunch for the last year or so. There aren't many jobs available in my area.
I wish that my children will keep being in well health, that I will keep my job (so many savings and cutdowns now..)and that nothing will go wrong with the new house we just moved into..

ReplyDeleteMy wish would be that my husband still has a job and can keep it. The economic downturn really has hit hard in his company...
So many important wishes but for tonight I'll wish for a healthier year for my family and myself. We've had a really rough year so that's what my *selfish* wish is. Also, that my oldest son and his fiancee can get the jobs they need to be able to support themselves and are able to get married in the spring.
ReplyDelete'World Peace' would be top of the list, but on a selfish note I would wish that both my daughters enjoy and do well in their new jobs and that my mum's memory problems do not become any worse.

My wish no doubt after the year we have had would be health, wealth and happiness! Been through so many surgeries, MRI's and broken bones in my family this year it is unreal. Insurance company decided they also needed a cut in this and are raising our premium 19%! Thank you for a chance to win some wonderful things. Unless business picks up , I will be looking at no new toys this next year!

My wish for the New Year is to defeat my depression, stand up tall, and start living life again! I want to do everything I wish, and do it all proudly and with confidence. I want to stop procrastinating and make se of this precious gift... life! Sorry if that's all a bit full on... I'm just starting to feel like myself again and I'm excited as to what this new year will have in store for me!

ReplyDeleteMy wish for the New Year would be that the war in Iraq to be ended! And also that my health get better. I was given a feeding tube on Monday, so I am hoping that maybe this is the answer to my health issues!
