I'm Baaaaaaaackkkkk! Today is a double post day for ya, so if you missed the first one scroll down and check out my Whiff of Joy project! My hair has been cut & colored and I'm ready for the New Kids, but are they ready for me.............ROFL!!! Ahem....moving on to my project--
Today Storage Units, Ink and More releases all their new stamps for this month. I used two of the sets to make my Whatchadoin' Wednesday Project. Our challenge was to use the new Thanksgiving sets to make a favor for your Thanksgiving table. Well, I couldn't stop at just one so I made a bunch. These two sets "Bountiful Harvest" and "Giving Thanks" are so much fun to use together!
For the first table favor I used a small tin from PTI and filled it with Candy Corn. I stamped and colored the turkey from the "Bountiful Harvest" set with my Copics and punched out and attached to another layer of Coredinations cs. Did you know that SUINK carries the Coredinations paper? If you haven't tried it you really should--it's textured, a great weight and you can sand it to bring out the core/inside color, fabulous. And it comes in over 200 colors--I lovee it! The shimmer on my lil' turkey is from gold stickles. I covered the tin with dp from My Minds Eye "Tres Jolie" and wrapped raffia around the tin and tied off. The turkey was attached with dimensionals to the top. Gobble, Gobble!
For the second table decoration/favor I wanted to make a decorative candle. I stamped out the wheat and gourds from the "Giving Thanks" set and the pumpkins from the "Bountiful Harvest set" and colored w/ Copics. The pumpkins and gourds were cut out and popped up w/ dimensionals too. I bent the sentiment on my acrylic block so that it would wrap nicely on top of the wheat. I used my Atyou Spica markers on the images for lots of shimmer. I made a belly band with my Coredinations cs that I ran thru my Cuttlebug with their new pumpkin embossing folder, then added ColorBox's chalk ink on top to bring out the image more.
And what is a Thanksgiving table without place cards for your guests. I used these cutie-patootie Pilgrims for mine and stamped my kids names out with my JustRite stamper set. I was going to make 2 more using the cute Indian boy & girl, but ran out of time :( I used the same color coredinations cs and added a few sparkles to the apples in her basket. These were super easy and super quick to make too!
So there ya go---hope you liked my Thanksgiving table projects! I'm off to finish chores now, my mom is coming tomorrow so I got lots to do!
Until tomorrow...
Suzanne
