Hiya everyone! Hope those that had off yesterday had a wonderful 3-day weekend! I am happy to say I am feeling 50% better today, so that is a big improvement, yippee!! Thanks again for all the get well wishes--they're working!! I was able to work on some projects yesterday and get some things done so I feel good--I hate feeling behind cuz' then I just get overwhelmed, ya know! I have 3 cards to share with you today so fasten up and enjoy the ride, lol!
The first two cards today use Whiff of Joy stamps, my most favorite "Willow with Lantern" and a new one "Good Luck Charlie". (NOTE: Remember if you live in the US, All That Scraps is now carrying most of the WOJ stamps so check it out) I am partial to this Willow stamp (sorry but I just lovee it)--she's so elegant and gorgeous, me thinks. This card was pretty easy to put together--the white bg was embossed with my CB folder and all of the cs is SU. I used some scrolls that I punched with my scroll punch and added silver pearls to for lots of shimmer. Willow was colored w/ Copics and then I took my clear Spica pen and highlighted her dress for lots of soft sparkles. The sentiment is from PTI's "Holiday Wishes" set as is the lovely silver ribbon.
The second WOJ card uses an image I think is really unique and cute. Over in Europe "chimney sweeps" are considered good luck (google them and you'll find out all about it). Now Katharina has some lovely sentiments that you can buy to go w/ her stamps including this one which is a "good luck" and shamrock sentiment...but, I seemed to have misplaced it somewhere, ha ha, just my "luck"! Luckily I had a Studio G set for the New Year's that I could use because I wanted to make this a Happy New Year's card. I used the sketch from the new Whiff of Joy challenge blog--go visit every week and participate to win prizes! The paper is a combo of SU and Black Market dp, ribbon is from Michaels and some sparkles thrown in for good luck! I really like the finished card, what-a-bout you?
Last card today uses the Stamp of the Week from Spiral Whisper called "Love Frog"--you can purchase this stamp for 10% off this entire week. I think she's quite a cutie for a frog, lol! I paired the image with Basic Grey's "Eva" dp cuz' I wanted to balance out all that green, lol! I used a heart stamp with versamark ink on the PTI plum pudding to make the bg paper and I cut out an extra set of eyes and popped them up to be googly-eyed looking! The fun sentiment is from CC Designs "Froggie & Friends" set--toadally perfect, hee hee!
Ok, I will have directions for my accordian boxes tomorrow for you all---yippee (I know I'm finally getting to it)! See ya back here tomorrow!
