Before & After
Today I’m sharing my project I made for the current June Magnolia-licious Challenge hosted by Mindy Baxter. She’s challenged us to create projects that have some type of “water” in them so I pulled out this oldie-but-goodie Magnolia stamp called “Tilda in Spring Rain” (its out of stock currently but find the mini-version here). This was one of my fave Tildas a few years ago and I still adore her…it was fun to pull her out again and color her up! You can find all the challenge details on the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog if you want to join in and see the rest of the DT’s water projects…they are fabulo-so!
**Have you seen the NEW Freedom Liberty Tilda & Accessory Stamps yet? Go check them out, they are one-of-a-kind and I've added them to my collection!! **
I'm entering this into the following fab challenges:
(this one was made over 3.5 yrs ago)
So I thought it would be fun to pull out my very first card I made with this cute Tilda (the red one on the right)…I made that over 3 years ago in my fave colors of red. It was always a favorite of mine so I have it on a shelf in my studio. And I always think its fun to pull out older work and see how we’ve grown and progressed KWIM. I used some scrap papers on my blue project and then PTI cardstock. The circle elements are Spellbinders along with the leafy swirls “Bella Rose” by Heartfelt Designs for Spellbinders. I thought it would be fun to top each of my flower elements off with buttons and the cloud is a PTI die that I inked/stickled and added a sentiment from PTI’s “Scattered Showers” stamp set.
She’s colored with Copics: B99,B97,B95,B93,B91 / E11,E00,R11 /YR23,E31,E50,E35 /C3,C1. I added Diamond Glaze to her boots and umbrella handle. Stickles on the rain, her pocket, around the cloud and on umbrella trim for lots of fun sparkles.
That’s all for me today…I have a bunch of random chores I want to get done and mostly involves cleaning my closet and Alexa’s dressers and Riley’s closet LOL. I’m sure I’ll have bags of stuff ready for Goodwill and for the trashbin. Have a great one!
This card is so beautiful! I love the blue color scheme. Inspires me to get my Copics out and start coloring! =)
ReplyDeleteStunning card!!I think this one belongs next to the red one on your shelf! Enjoy your day, Colinda

I don't have any of my own kids, but I'm very close to my nephews and niece. My oldest nephew graduated from high school on June 1 and will enter boot camp in February. The time just flew by. I know it was only yesterday that I was changing that kid's diapers. I just know it.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are both cute! It is fun to look back and see our progression, you're right. (I know, you loved hearing that, didn't you? With two teens in the house, I doubt they say it often. LOL)
Hey gorgeous lady, this has to be my favourite card of your ever, I love blue and the shading is fantastic, such a dreamy colour, gorgeous work huggles Pops x x x
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous Suzanne, it's fun to pull out an old stamp and ink it up again isn't it? I did that this week. Loving this Tilda in the blues, although the original red one is also fabby.

ReplyDeleteNice photos from your son's graduation, Suzanne! I literally just sat down at home after my son's 8th grade graduation! He's my baby, too! Sniff! Don't worry, you'll be fine when yours graduate high school. It is a very exciting time and a joy to celebrate their accomplishments. I thought I'd be a mess when my older son graduated from h.s., but I was happy and really enjoyed it. He's half way thru college and doing great!
ReplyDeleteLove the cards as always!
Tilda looks awesome in the new blue card, Suzanne. I still love your red card too. This is one of my very first Tilda stamps I purchased and still adore her.
ReplyDeleteHugz,
Cathy Lee
Both are great cards but the blue one really knocks your socks off.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, is Riley going to be 7 ft. tall? Boys seem to grow longer than girls and he's already a tall young man! :^)
