Elegant Dreams and By the Sea
Blog Hop---Gina K
Today the Gina K DT is having another release blog hop to showcase the new stamps available. Your next stop on this hop after me will be the lovely & talented Theresa Momber!!
This card uses the “Free with 3” set called “Elegant Elements” which I absolutely love! You can get this set FREE when you purchase any 3 Gina K stamp sets—how’s that for a great deal! I stamped one of the images in black onto aqua cardstock in a blocked design to create fun background paper. Then I used Viva Décor Paper Pen (in graphite) to create small black pearls on the background design. Then I stamped a different image with Versamark ink onto white cardstock and embossed it in black EP. For the mats I used the Spellbinders set “Floral Doily”. Then a sheer black bow with the Bow Easy finishes this card off.
For my second card I used the beautiful new set “By the Sea” by Theresa Momber for Gina K. This set has so many beautiful images, perfect by themselves or to make a scene (have an upcoming project creating a scene with these). This card was done for DT Donna Baker’s challenge “One Love”—only one layer and one kind of embellishment—ACK! As you know most of my cards have like 12 layers so this was HARD for me, LOL! But I decided to dry emboss my navy cardstock with a CB folder and then heat emboss the lighthouse image in white EP. After embossing I took my Spellbinders Nestability “Labels 8 “ and laid it over the image and traced it with my white Sharpie Poster Paint Pen. I used my paint pen to also add a frame using my ruler and then softly sponging white ink on the edges. Since Donna said we could use as many “accent products” as we liked I added some stardust Stickles to the water too! Then my one embellishment are the white buttons tied with bakers twine. A simple, masculine card for someone special!
Now make sure to hop along to the DT’s blogs below for some AWESOME Inspiration today!
- Suzanne Dean (that’s me—thanks)
