Season's Greetings to you all!!
This is my last holiday card for 2010 sadly--I didn't even get to use all my beautiful holiday papers all up so they'll go in my holiday paper bin for next year's projects! I have been wanting to use these beautiful holiday papers from BoBunny and this Magnolia stamp to do an all green card -- so I took time out yesterday to make this Christmas card. I love the way it turned out and it may just be my holiday card to myself this year, hee hee!
I've entered this project in a few fun challenges including "Anything Goes" (to use the letter C for something--so C is for Christmas in my project), Papertake Weekly Challenge (anything goes), 365 Cards (something cute), Paper Playtime (anything Christmas) AND
This image is the "trigger" photo for Moxie Fab World's Trigger Challenge--so my interpretation is a wintry card of course below--except my Magnolia's mittens are just green & not striped :)
This card uses a fabulous winter image from Magnolia-licious from the Merry Christmas 2010 Collection called "Tilda in Winter Light" (she's out of stock right now) but the MINI version is in stock HERE! But I have one to give away, so see the bottom of the this post for some Holiday Candy! The papers are from Bo Bunny HERE and I used cs from PTI. The pearl swirls are Prima and the sentiment is from PTI. The holly punch-outs are from a MS Jumbo punch, then I inked the edges of the holly with white ink and then coated them with Stickles (stardust). Do you love those embossing layers? They are both done with Sizzix's NEW Basic Grey embossing folders which I adore--they emboss nice & deeply and ink up great (I inked them with SU River Rock ink).
Blog Candy: I've got an extra Magnolia "Tilda in Winter Light" stamp, a Lacey Circles Nestability set (like I used above), and a pack of Basic Grey "Marjolaine" paper! You can enter by leaving a comment telling me--
"What your holiday wish is for the New Year?"

Beautiful card! I love stopping by your blog to see all the beautiful creations you have come up with! I've learned a lot in the past year (some thanks to you) and my wish for 2011 is: a.) for my family to continue on the road to recovery from the many encounters with illness and brushes of death and to be healthy and happy in 2011 b.)for my friends (personal and blogland) to be healthy and prosperous in 2011 c.) and on the selfish side, I hope to find time for me in 2011 to grow creatively and personally in hopes to craft much more often than the once a month I seem to be squeezing in as of late due to my poor health and busy schedule with a new job this past year.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!
Merry Christmas! Wonderful color work! You're amazing!
ReplyDeleteA little food in every pot,
A little "have" for those who have not.
Some peace of mind for the worried soul,
A truth where once a lie had been told.
A healthy spirit and body, too,
A visit from loved ones where once there were few,
A dose of happiness across the board,
The calm assurance that Jesus is Lord!
This is my Christmas wish for a hurting, needy world.
(original poem by me)
