Do you like to cook? Okay, well do you at least like to read about others cooking, lol? Since today's Magnolia-licious Blog Hop is themed "We're Cookin'" I thought I'd tell you about my favorite Cookin' Ladies as well! Two of my FAVORITE non-craft blogs I keep up with and read regularly are The Southern Plate and Pioneer Woman! I discovered Pioneer Woman (Ree) early last year and she just CRACKS me up, really makes me laugh out loud I tell ya. She says ALL those things we try to keep secret or would never tell anyone KWIM--she did a story when she was in DC that involved her Spanx and a port-a-potty that made me fall out of my chair! I love a funny blog--always a good read and she has fabulous yummy recipes and her photography is OUT OF THIS WORLD fabulous, makes me ALMOST wanna be a cowgirl, lol. If you ever get time make sure and read her love story and how she got to the pioneer at her blog, its called "Black Heels & Tractor Wheels" and it is a great read! And The Southern Plate lady, Christy, is almost as much of a crack up and she types just like she probably talks with all her Southern twang and euphenisms--LOL funny I tell ya! And her recipes are yummy and easy to make--great for those short on time and supplies (like me always, hee hee)! If you ever need a laugh, an uplifting story or a yummy recipe these are the ladies to visit!

Peppermint Kisses!!
Today the Magnolia-licious DT is having a fun Blog Hop for you today and the theme is "We're Cookin'"! You can find out all the details on the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog as well as instructions on how to play along to win big!! I'm the last stop on the hop today so if you are starting with me make sure and start at the beginning with JANIEL HERE! There are sure to be some fun, yummy and fabulous projects along the hop! And if you read thru-out my post today you might find something yummy as well, hee hee!
I decided to make a Christmas Peppermint Kisses Gift that could be easily replicated and this would make a fabulous gift for a neighbor, teacher, hostess or friend in your life. It's a Peppermint Themed Cup of Kisses :) A large paper teacup that holds goodies for making some yummy peppermint hot chocolate AND a matching recipe book filled with yummy peppermint recipes!
As soon as I saw this new template release from Lauren Meader's My Time Made Easy I knew what I was going to do with it and was so excited to use it, I just love it! This template is called "Grab a Cup" and it is super easy to make (and only $5) which I love and if you have a Cricut (or other electric cutting machine) you can get the svg file and it can be made even quicker. I prefer to cut (yes, I like to cut paper not myself--I find it meditative, its quirky I know) and it took me no time at all to do. And use Scor-Tape to hold it all together--I kid you not that stuff is fabulous and super strong (I have projects from 2 years ago with Scor-tape that are still together perfectly today). My papers are new from My Mind's Eye called "I Believe" and I love the reds and aquas together and the peppermint striped paper too! I stuffed the cup with packages of hot chocolate, marshmallows and some peppermint candies that can be crushed into your hot chocolate or in the yummy recipes in the recipe book. TIP: I added some shredded papers to the cup in white & red--make your own with leftover tissue paper or cardstock and run it thru your shredder! Cheap & Easy!
I used one of my all-time favorite Tilda's from Magnolia-licious called "Waiting Tilda"--I love how she's dressed and the serene look of her face--too cute for wintertime projects (I've colored her legs as tights before too if she seems chilly, hee hee)! Make sure to stock up on all the cute holiday/winter Magnolia's now so you can get them in time for all your lovely projects!! And Diana will have the NEW Christmas stamps up for pre-order this week at Magnolia-licious as well--don't miss out on that!
Here's that cute "Waiting Tilda" again and I perched her on this fabulous Alota Candy Cane(in stock now) that Diana so generously sent all the DT gals! It's perfect for holiday projects and for putting your Edwins & Tildas on too! They're colored with Copics and to make the reds a deeper red to match the papers I added W3 & W1 over the reds (you can overlay gray on top of most colors to deepen them). I kept my blending rough on the candy cane for a fun look and then coated it with diamond glaze so its super shiny (in real life) and the white areas got stickles for some bling right over the diamond glaze once it was dry. The edges of all my papers got inked with red ink using my fave Inkssentials Blending tool.
My recipe book was fun and easy to make! I used my SB's Nesties "Labels 1" (the largest size) to cut out bases in the aqua cs and the mats as well. The front uses another fun stamp from Magnolia-licious (A Little Yummy for Your Tummy Collection) called "Tea Cup" --its out of stock at Diana's store, but I know if you email her she will get some in for ya! The lil round sentiment tag is from PTI that was cut out with another SB nestie. I punched holes in each page and added a simple silver craft ring and decorated the ring with some ribbons.
On the inside are some fun & easy recipes each with peppermint in them that I found on Allrecipes.com. I typed them up in Word and resized them to fit on my white cs mats and printed them out on the cs--if you'd like this bunch of recipes to try out or to print for your own recipe book I've created a file for you HERE (they will print out and are sized to fit on the 2nd largest Nestie Labels 1). Now you can create your own fun recipe book. I added some fun stamps by PTI (small snowflakes & gingerbread man) around each title of the recipe for fun and inked the edges of my cs. I think this set makes such a fun gift set for someone special during the holidays and was done pretty inexpensively but looks like a million $$$ :) I know I will be creating a few of these for friends and teachers!
Now for some yummy treats for one of you!! How about a $20 gift certificate to Magnolia-licious and a $5 gift certificate to My Time Made Easy so you can create this or something else special for the holiday season if you'd like!! You just have to leave a comment telling me if you liked my project, lol, AND answer a fun question by Friday "What is your most cherished holiday tradition? (for any fall or winter holiday, any religion of course as well)".
Hope you had fun on the hop today and hope we didn't make you too hungry, lol! Make sure to stop by Magnolia-licious to get your fab Mag stamps and the Magnolia-licious Hightlites Blog to join in on the fun!
See ya back here on Wednesday!! (gotta rest my finger, it feels like its about to fall off, yikes)

Beautiful project! My favourite tradition is baking all the Christmas cookies!
ReplyDeleteTake care of that finger!
Your creation is beautiful. Love colors and everything about it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday tradition is:
I am Portuguese so I make a pork dish that we prepare for Easter and Xmas or New Years. I do it for New years and also buy some sweetbread and make scrambled eggs and Portuguese sausage. My husband is Japanese so we both do sushi, slice fruit and make a special Mochi soup that's supposed to be for good luck. The kids and grandkids wait for breakfast on New Years Day and I love having all of them here at the same time.
Happy Holidays to all of you.
hugs
bobbi

Wow! Absolutely stunning!! One of my best friends loves all thing tea and I will definately have to make her one of these. My favorite "holiday" is the day after Thanksgiving! LOL! Black Friday! and in the evening that same day my girls and I start decorating for Christmas. Best time of year!
ReplyDeleteIf I had an enjoyable weekend ? Oh, yes, you bet !! We were about 100 crafting ladies together at a high school enjoying our favourite hobby all day (and night, too, for some..). Just wish the weekend could have lasted just a little bit longer...
ReplyDeleteYou project here is awesome, along with your colouring, it looks really really great !! After leaving my comment here, I'll pop over to check out the tutorial, because this cuppa must be tried out at home as well :-)
Thanks for sharing, Suzanne !
Oops, I forgot.. My favourite holiday tradition must dinner together with family on Christmas Eve !! Looking forward to this dinner in a long time in advance :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing. I love your little tea cup, it is such a cute idea. Tilda looks so sweet sitting on the candy cane.

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I have any holiday traditions - though we're a typical Aussie family and end up playing backyard cricket EVERY Christmas... Oi Oi Oi! lol!
♥
I hope your finger won't need stiches.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love your project. Just like all your other cards, everything you make is beautiful!!! My favorite tradition is to cook Christmas dinner and have the family over. Unfortunately, it doesn't happen because we don't live close to them. But we get to see them, I just don't do the cooking. Great job again!!
Loved your creation so cute - My favorite holiday tradition is having my parent's stay over at my house on Christmas Eve so they can watch their grandchildren open presents Chistmas morning. We have a big brunch after presents are opened.
ReplyDeletewow, wow, wow is this ever cute! Love it!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Dena
What a wonderful gift set Suzanne. Your knack for details is SO amazing. This is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite traditions is watching Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase with my family. We all love it and it comes out each December for lots of laughs.
I love the cute gift set. The teacup is absolutely amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteone of my favorite traditions is getting in the car with the kids and we select a few of our favorite christmas cd's for the ride and we just set out to see all of the christmas lights. Every year we have a few faves we revisit from prvious years becasue they are so beautiful and then we set out to a new destination we have not been to yet... By the time we get home the kids are usually asleep...
this is just stunning. I really love all the details. Great job
ReplyDeleteMy most cherished holiday tradition? Watching the Grizwalds in "Christmas Vacation" while decorating the tree with Dh and DSs. Burning cinnamon candles and laughing at the good tiimes
Oh Suzanne. This is so adorable! I love the little girl with the Peppermint stick. What an awesome idea. Thanks for the receipes. I am going to give them a try sometime this coming weekend once I get through this VERY hectic week at work. (M-F 8 to 6 all week. Uuggghh!) Anyway, I would have to say that one of my most favorite family traditions has come about since I have had my own children. We go and purchase matching PJ's for both my husband and son and then my daughter and I also have ours. Of course the girls usually have to have Betty Boop on theirs and the boys tend to like something that has Coke on it. heehee, It is weird I know but on Christmas Eve we open them and the kids just love it. That way we all match Christmas morning when we are together to celebrate the best day of the year. Hugs, Lisa G
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful gift set! The coloring is gorgeous - really gives that 3D look.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite tradition at Christmas is on Christmas Eve we have a treasure hunt with clues and a gift at the end. Thanks for a chance to win!

ReplyDeleteFav tradition - I also made pj's for us and always opened one gift on Christmas Eve. Have not done that in a couple years as she married. Miss it more than I thought. Just might have to jump in this year and make me some.
Suzanne what a great little idea thanks so much for the inspiration. I make gifts for my team of 14 at work every year and I had already got a little baking loaf dish from Michaels, so this will just go perfectly with the loaf of pumpkin bread. My favorite holiday tradition is we all go looking at lights, we take hot cocoa with us, then we go to this place called Glendale glitters where there is all sorts of crafts tables set up, food, holiday music beautifully decorated the whole square for Christmas with the kids doing there dance recital etc...it is just a great family day/evening. It is really hard to pick just one as everything we do as a family is a perfect memory for me :)

Hi Suzanne, I must have hit the comment button twice (sorry) but then I read we're supposed to tell you our favorite holiday tradition.
ReplyDeleteMine was when my daughters & their families came home for Christmas. The best Christmas was when I told them to bring home some family pictures & I gave each one of them a scrapbbok & a few sheets of cardstock, stickers & introduced them into the wonderful world of scrapbooking ...
Janie
WOWOW, your project is fantabulous, as always!!!! You are always such an inspiration, I just love your work. I love this idea of making little gifts for special people at Christmas.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday tradition also involves food. I make large batches of Christmas sugar cookies, peanut butter balls (if you have not tried these scrumptious treats, they are a little piece of sugar heaven, I can send you the recipe!), toffee, peanut, brittle, etc. I basically bake with my kids everyday of December. It is so much fun. I pick out which things I want to make on Sunday, and by Monday we are baking!!! It is such a fun treat to make things throughout the month. We give the treats to neighbors and family, and always sample a lot for ourselves! hehehe. Thanks so much for opportunity to win, and for your constant inspiration.
Suzanne you blow me away with this delightful cup of yummy candy's

ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas tradition will actually end this year. Every Christmas Eve we've spent with my parents and sisters/brother/nieces/nephews and various friends!! This year my Dad will not be with us, he passed away in August. It's going to be a very hard time for everyone, he was our light at Christmas!! I know he will be with us in spirit though! (gosh, I guess this was actually kind of a downer! sorry...)
Anyway, your project is delicious!!!
Hugs,teri

Love this idea perfect for my co-workers and I have been searching for something home made to give them again this year! My favorit tradition came from a flop! The first year my husband and I dated I was trying to hard to be a good southern lady and bake a chocolate chess pie for him on Christmas day. Well I ended up with chocolate chess soup in a crust. He ate it with a spoon and told me it was great! Every year now I buy a chocolate chess pie from a good old southern woman and pass it off as mine on Christmas day (pretty sure he has caught on)!
ReplyDeleteLove your projects! Red and blue combo is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday tradition is our grown son coming home and spending Christmas Eve night with us...to wake up early, open gifts, and have breakfast reminds me of when he was a little boy on Christmas morning (sigh). LC

Mom makes a yummy dinner and then we open gifts and hang out and chat...it is always such a fun time as I love being with my family! It's a treasure because my brother is an over the road truck driver so he is gone more than he is home!

Hugs~ Kim

This project is over the top cute, and would be PERFECT to create for my favorite holiday tradition. Our entire family of females (sisters, nieces, aunts, mothers, daughters, grandmothers, etc.) all get together for a day of holiday baking, which includes giggles and belly laughs, baking and frosting, but most of all hugs and smiles.

WOW, Suzanne, I love your creations...the colors remind me a cold winter's day being warmed by hot chocolate, marshmallows and peppermint stir sticks. Thank you for sharing your talents, I always find your work so inspiring. Hi Suzanne, I love this project. The cup is so cute and I like the recipe cards. Our holiday tradition is on Thanksgiving everyone at the table has to tell one thing they are thankful for...it usually ends with a prayer, but sometimes the kids get so serious...there are tears at the table. Great way to bring the family together. Hugs, Teresa Ernest
ReplyDeleteAwesome, Suzanne!! Those papers are so pretty! I saw that and I was like where does she come up with these things...I was kind of relieved to find out you got the tea cup else where...makes me feel like you are normal(not superwoman) like the rest of us,lol. Anyway, I love this and thanks for using something NOT from the Yummy for your tummy collection as I don't have any of those and it helps to get my juices flowing.
ReplyDeleteMy fav holiday tradition is setting up a christmas village. My mom always had one so I started having one and my boys love seeing it go up and helping to pick out a new piece each year!

Suzanne, hope you heal, be careful next time! Beautiful card, as always! Favorit tradition: My DIL is a born & bred GA girl, and her family all gathers for Thanksgiving at her aunties. Yikes, soooooo much food, laughter, and great company! I'm so fortunate they ask me every year, and would not miss this hospitality!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your project and plan on making some myself thanks for the wonderful idea!!! I love when our family sings "Happy Birthday Jesus" around the tree before opening presents Christmas morning.
ReplyDeleteI too cut my index finger badly of all things changing the blade on my cutter!!!Hugs and feel better soon!
I loved the project. Very cute gift for office workers, etc. My favorite Cristmas tradition is putting our rattles on the christmas tree. I have my father's and Mother's first rattles which are 92 years old and I have mine and all my childrens. When my son and daughter got married, I went out and bought the -in-laws- their own rattles for our tree and of course I bought my grandson a rattle when he was born. Rattles are very hard to find now so I had to buy the last one on ebay. It is a great tradition..
ReplyDeleteyou always have the MOST beautiful projects... you are very blessed with amazing talent.. LOVE to visit and see what new item you've created each week.. our favorite tradition is taking the kids to help feed the homeless each thanksgiving.. then we come home and start gathering all the extra blankets around the neighborhood and take to local shelters.. we've been doing this since the kids were toddlers.. its taught them to really be appreciative of what they have..
ReplyDeleteYour project is super-cute as always...Love your coloring...My favorite part of the Holidays is to gather the family on Christmas day to eat, sing and have fun! tks.
ReplyDeleteYou have an amazing blog that I never miss! Such lovely projects. My favorite tradition is to make Christmas cookies with my sisters abd nieces. It is a very special time for me.
ReplyDeleteHi Again Suzanne~~Just wanted to say that I will pray your finger feels better really soon :)
ReplyDeleteHugz
I love the cute set you have made. The red and aqua are just fab together.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite tradition is Christmas eve we let the children open 1 gift. I usualy is a game or something to keep the kids happy for the evening. It really helps with the excitement rising up in the childen.
You clearly have outdone yourself this time, Suzanne! The colors are so cheery. What a tremendous gift. Thanks for the great ideas!

Waiting Tilda is adorable. I love it. Maybe a trip to ER or the doctor is best for the finger. Don't want to loose your typing or crafting finger. Always enjoy reading your stories. Take care of that finger. Edna
ReplyDeleteI love your projects. Peppermint is such a fun flavor.
ReplyDeleteAs a military family we spent a lot of time overseas and haad to develope our own family traditions. The one that has endeared in our family is opening the gifts from the children on Christmas eve. On Christmas morning it is a mad house, but on Christmas Eve it is quiet and because it is the only gifts that are opened the kids put a lot of thought into their gifts. They are now adults and they have asked to keep that tradition. I think that the reason it is so special to me is because it is so special to them.
Suzanne, you are SO very creative.! LOVE the little tea cup. And the little girl is so adorable. Makes me wish Christmas was already here.!! Fantastic job.!!
ReplyDeleteSuzanne, when do you have the time to do all of these scrumptious projects? You are always on the go and just when I think you can't possibly turn out another ultimate heart stealer, you do! You are amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love this! I love the colors. That teacup is to die for! What a great gift idea!
Amazing!
XO,
Chris C.
Suzanne,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and sweet project - love all the colors! On Christmas Eve afternoon and evening, we watch Christmas Story, Holiday Inn and White Christmas!!! Love the old elaborate Christmas musicals!
Oh Suzanne, this is just so adorable. Love the recipe idea, how clever is that??? The color choice is perfect for this, almost has a chill to it, I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteHope your finger gets better, don't want to mess too much with those cuts, they can be tricky.....
My most cherished tradition has changed since our family has changed.....it used to be Christmas Eve at our house with everyone, cooking a big dinner and enjoying the evening and the family. Most of them are gone now, and only two of my children are left, only one lives here in the US, so I do Christmas Eve with her and her husband and we've started some of our own new traditions now.
Oooh, your finger sounds really sore! Good on ya for keeping going!
ReplyDeleteAnd that's such a fabulous gift idea - who wouldn't love a cup of peppermint kisses!
One of my favourite holiday traditions is my mum's apple pie at Halloween - its a very old tradition of hiding a button, a ring and a coin for good luck ... unfortunately (?) it means we have to eat the whole pie!! Yummy!
Yum, um! I just love everything about your project! The idea has so many posssibilities! Great colors, love the theme!
ReplyDeleteLove the projects...and everything you do! I so enjoy being with family @ Christmas, eating the scrumptious dishes everyone has prepared. I guess the one tradition that's my fav is decorating our tree (we only have one), & pulling out the ornaments. With each one, there is a special memory that tugs on my heart. I still put up the ragged stocking that my son made when he was small (& he's 30 now). I remember who gave each ornament to me, & the occasion. With Christmas music in the background, it's a sweet time!

ReplyDeleteLove the project! I will add to my version of it a decadent peperment cake recipe I have and hand these out to all my scrap pals for Christmas. Your coloring of the teacup is fantastic (as usual) Thanks for all the "tips" and sharing your sweet treasures.
ReplyDeleteAnd our favorite tradition is everyone sitting around the tree before we open any gifts and reading the original Christmas story and remembering what the celebration is truly about. Thanks again for sharing!
i'm just starting out with my copics, i completely love and feel a little intimidated by your awesome combinations and the way it just looks so good.
ReplyDeleteour holiday tradition is that you get small presents on xmas morning but the main tree presents are to be opened in the late afternoon after dinner has been eaten and cleared away - that way you get presents to open all day long
i love this project as usual and my favourite xmas time is to decorate the xmas tree.. love to see the sparkles in my kids eyes
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the finger. It sounds painful & I hope it heals soon.
ReplyDeleteOf course I loved the project! The red & aqua color combo is one of my favorites.
My fav tradition would be putting up the aluminum Xmas tree. It was my great grandma's & it looks so pretty & sparkly in the window.
Totally awesome!! I love your work it is always beautiful. My favorite tradition is going to pick out our Xmas tree and then putting it up and decorating. I have continued it with my girls and they also love it. We put on Xmas music, make hot cocoa, and just have fun together.
ReplyDeletethanks!
What a wonderful, minty project, thank you! I love the idea of a recipe book and all the trimmings!!!
ReplyDeleteMy most cherished holiday tradition is something we have been doing for at least 9 years now. When it is time to pack up the Christmas decor and pull down the tree (which is never fun)...I print up stationary for each person in our immediate family to fill in. We each write what our "Year's Best Memory" was, or "This Christmas Was Special Because". Then, WE DON'T SHOW ANYONE, but we fold it up and put them all in a special stocking.
Here comes the really special part...the next Christmas, when we unpack our decorations, we remember those letters. We have a moment where we all sit down and read out loud our letters to one another. There have been tears and laughter, I tell you, when we recalled my husband's deployment and special return for Christmas...or a simple child's wish for a doll that was fulfilled. It is probably the one thing that really "draws us in" as a family.
Wow, do I love this project!! I'm always looking for new ways to 'gift bag' my Christmas goodies:) This one will be added for sure!!
ReplyDeleteMost cherished holiday tradition... When I was small, my dad had to work Christmas Day so we had to wait til he got home to open gifts. Since that wasn't til after noon, we got to open ONE gift Christmas Eve. Now, if I remember well (which ain't always happening), I think we were usually encouraged to open 'the one'. It was usually a small toy to keep us occupied til dad got home from work:) Although we don't work Christmas day, I have continued the tradition with my boys and hope they will with their children, along with the original story.
I hope this doesn't post a second time. My first try didn't seem to go through.
ReplyDeleteHope your finger is better, Suzanne, and you didn't end up with stitches. That's why I let DH do all the cooking; I'd just hurt myself! LOL!
Your project is absolutely adorable! Love that cute Tilda and the cup is darling. Gotta get that template.
Holiday traditions -- wow! that is a hard one because I love, love Christmas and we have a lot of traditions around it. I think our family tradition of everyone helping to decorate the Christmas tree with holiday music playing and reminiscing about Christmases past is one of my favorites. The other is everyone going to Christmas Eve candlelight services together after having a special dinner. Baking holiday cut-out cookies and decorating them is one that goes back to my childhood because my grandma and my mother always made them and let the kids help frost and decorate.
Aw, your maggie sitting on the candy cane is just too cute! Love the handle on the cup too. Thanks! ps Glad that the shopping trip went well and I hope you get your finger checked!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to write my family holiday tradition. My husband reads "Twas the Night Before Christmas" every year to the little ones on Christmas eve. It's a great way to end the evening. Thanks, Pam
ReplyDeleteI love the red and aqua together....Thanks so much for the tip of adding the grays to deepen the colors. My dream is to one day be able to color my images as well as you do....You are such an inspiration....
ReplyDeletewow, what a fantastic looking gift you have created. And i love peppermint kisses!

ReplyDeletea lovely project - love it!!
my fave holiday tradition has to be waiting til xmas morning to open pressies - and i love to see if the pressies i've bought are just what someone wanted, or, more importantly, something they would never have thought of buying for themselves!

My favorite thing is decorating the tree as a family. You put up enough trees so I know you relate. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteDenise from Chicago
Love love love your project - I love how you use diamond glaze to make things extra shiney. I really HAVE to try that!!! My favorite holiday tradition is going out with my hubby and son to cut down our tree. We go every year and spend the whole day picking out the exact tree! It has to be perfect of course!!! Thanks again for all your inspiration ....I love visiting your blog!!
ReplyDeleteSuper pretty projects. Love the aqua and red together. My favorite holiday tradition is getting together with friends on New Year's Eve. I don't always get to see these people all the time but when we get together it is like we haven't missed a beat.
ReplyDeleteSuzanne, I LOVE your project! As soon as I saw your cup I thought that looks like a My Time Made Easy template. Love how you've used it and the papers and that darling Tilda sitting on the candy cane...perfect!!!
ReplyDeleteGorjuss project! I love the color scheme.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...let's see my fav Holiday tradition would be sitting on the floor with my other siblings (16 in total) and going through our stockings. We would trade the candy, fruit or nuts we didn't like and spend the rest of the day playing with our toy. I still try to reenact this tradition with my nieces and nephews. Of course they have toyS instead of a toy. :-)
Thanks for sharing!
Wow what an aewsome project with such delicious recipes! Your colors are so scrumptious.
ReplyDeletethis is an adorable project! I love the colors and I think it would make a cute little gift for someone- TFS! Thanks so much too for offering the candy. I was planning on leaving a comment anyway so that was a nice surprise :)
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne,
ReplyDeleteI was reading your post and you said you could have used an SVG file for the cricut but you just cut it out instead. Is that right? I mean I have a cricut, but i don't know how to use svg files, but if I could still download them and ct them that would be totally awesome. Please let me know the answer to this.
Love your blog!!
Oh and my fav Christmas tradition is traveling home to see family and everyone goes to Christmas Eve Service together.

Beautiful project Suzanne and i think these would make awesome neighbor gifts ! TFS ! My favorite tradition is filling the kids stockings ... even though my kids are all grown as our family ! I love their reactions to them and all the little treasures I have found through the year for them !
ReplyDeleteOMG I just love this little girl and the project! She is just too cute! What a nice gift for a friend. :) My favorite holiday tradition is our Christmas Eve junk food party and then the annual Monopoly game. The last couple years, since two of our children are married, it's fun just to watch them all interact.
ReplyDeleteThis project is simply amazing! I can't wait to try this and the best news is....a friend of mine just gave me this stamp as a gift. This would be the perfect time to ink her up!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite cherished holiday tradition (other than quality family time with the holiday meals!) is the night before Christmas. As a child, my sister and I always set up Santa's plate, as well as Rudolph's and this is a tradition that we have passed down to my niece. I love the magical feeling that the holidays bring!
Thanks for the opportunity to win some great prizes! My Tilda collection is small (but growing) and I would love the opportunity to add to it!!!

This is amazing of course all your projects are!!! My favorite Holiday tradition is taking my grandchildren to the neighbors Christmas Caroling. Some of them barely know the words so we sing the same songs over and over but it is the most fun and a activity that I will surely miss when they start thinking they are too old to humor me.
ReplyDeleteKymKreates
Suzanne, You amaze and inspire me! I look forward to your projects, and you haven't failed me yet! The teacup is awesome, and I went to the website, bought it & 4 other adorable templates! (Couldn't help myself) I collect antique teacups & saucers-perfect!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas tradition is going Christmas caroling with family and friends. We usually go around the neighborhood, & to a couple of nursing homes, and end at one of our homes for hot chocolate, hot cider, & lots of goodies!
Thanks again for all of your inspiration!
Annette
Didn't you just staple your thumb not too long ago?!? :) I hope your cut heals quickly! Your project is uber adorable! That is one of my favorite Tilda's and I love the color combo! I think one of our most treasured holiday traditions is driving around looking at all the Christmas lights then having hot cocoa and talking about our favorites. We've done this since I can remember. I love it!
ReplyDeleteAnother ABSOLUTELY STUNNING creation Suzanne! I love Christmas, love decorating the tree and listening to Christmas carols!
ReplyDeleteSooooo cute, Suzanne!
ReplyDeleteMy fave tradition is getting together to bake cookies to put out for Santa.
Awesome project.

Your coloring & project is just amazing. I've signed up for one of your classes at Stamplicity & can't wait. I love your little recipe book (TFS!) too.
ReplyDeleteMy most cherished holiday tradition would have to be all the family getting together for a potluck dinner. It wouldn't be a holiday without my mother, brother & sister & their families.
First of all, I am gonna have to go check out those blogs you mentioned....I could use a good laugh sometimes....who couldn't? Secondly, I just said to my friend the other day....could you not see a Tilda or Edwin sitting on this candy cane!!! (then I told her not to steal my idea)---like I'm the only one thinking it !! lol Thirdly, seems great minds think alike as my creation for this hop is also a hot chocolate recipe!! EEK!! haha Fourthly, you creation is stupendous....I am gonna have to find that cup template and run with it!! & finally, I thank you for the chance to win a great prize! Fav holiday tradition- when we put up the Christmas Tree, the kids have little aprons we put on them (Christmas themed) and we all run around the house, decorating it like mad, singing carols and eating junk!! I have pictures of the kids every year with their little aprons on! Thanks for the fantastic hop!
ReplyDeleteSuzanne- my most treasured holidays was Halloween for the times when my daughter was younger and we had a blast deciding on what she wanted to be,costumes and getting into that part of trick or treating. Thanks for the ideas plus the recipe! Carol M in TX/carolswingster77@aol.com
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I stumbled upon your blog. This is the cutest thing I've ever seen. I love sitting by the fire with my kids!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute! And fit in nicely with a family tradition we have. When the kids were still home, they're adults now, they would make paper candy canes out note book paper and hang them on the tree. when they woke up Christmas morning, their paper canes were real....Christmas magic.
