And then yesterday morning my laptop crashed and I lost ALL of my emails (all of them)--I was able to get it working again thankfully but I lost all my to-do emails. If you have emailed me in the past 2-3 days and I have not answered you, please shoot me an email again and I will respond ASAP---also if you've signed up for my Copic classes if you could just shoot me an email on which date you were coming I'd appreciate it. Sorry 'bout that---but hubby said he's gonna buy me a new laptop (yay) so I'll use this one for back-up only! Electronics I swear will make ya turn gray! Anywho, I'm feeling a bit better and was able to get some work done yesterday and hopefully a bunch today. I've got a few events to go to this weekend so I gotta get all my work done :o)

I'm Dreamin' of Paris!!
I had quite a few of you enter for my "Dream Journey Blog Candy" HERE and ask me "What my Dream Journey" is, lol! Well I'm gonna tell ya, hee hee---I want to go to Europe soooo bad, Paris and Normandy in France (I want to see my grandfather's grave in Normandy--he died there in WWII), then visit Spain, Portugal, and Italy. It is a major dream of mine and is on my Bucket List for sure!! Then after that go spend 2 weeks in New Zealand and Australia--a girl can dream right?!! Anywho, I've had this fabulous "Paris Balloon Collage" stamp from I Brake For Stamps sitting on my desk for awhile just waiting patiently for me to use it!
This stamp is available in large (which is what I used), small and on a sheet with other beautiful collage stamps HERE (use coupon code "SAVE10SUZANNE to get 10% off your whole order)! I stamped the stamp onto cream cs with PTI's Palette Ink in "enchanted evening" then added some darker highlights with my E41 copic marker. I also added stickles to the border of the image, Paris word and some of the flowers for sparkle to match the fab dp. And that dp is by DCWV "At Home" that I just found at Michaels & I LUV it (all chocolates, creams and blues)! I distressed all my edges with my Tonic Paper Distress Tool and inked the edges with distress ink. The bow has a Prima Pearl Center and then I used a new swirl punch for the swirly cut-outs.
Some layered Primas and roses which are all white/cream (see here) that I distressed and added Copics to (B37,B32). This is a great thing about buying White Flowers--I have a bin of them--you can spritz them, ink them, color them and paint them to match your projects!! And those fab lil' mini rosebuds are from Wild Orchid Crafts in the UK--you can see them HERE (fab customer service).
And I leave you with this photo of one of my cairn terriers, Baylee:
This was her face looking at me while I was cursing and ranting while trying to fix my laptop yesterday (yes on horrible occasions I can have a potty mouth, LOL). She looks like she's sad for me or thinking "my mama is CRAZY!", hee hee--so I had to snap her pic!!
Gorgeous card Suzanne! Some of your places to visit are also on my "to do" list. Especially Paris, Italy and Austrailia. My grandfather was also at Normandy but safely made it home. I think every male on my paternal side of the family has served their country!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are feeling better!
love that card, the hot air balloon image is gorgeous, so sad to hear about your computer, as someone who has recently gone through computer challenge of 2009, I send hugs, glad you have a new one soon. That Bailey is adorable and he knows when to stay put and out of the way, "Yikes Mom is having issues", lol. Hugs
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne...Glad to hear you are feeling better!! Electronics are great while they are working but we depend on them so much nowadays that when they aren't working it sends you right into a tailspin. Love the colors in your card. Looks like a trip to Michaels is in my near future. All your embellies are wonderful. A trip to Alaska may be on our bucket list but I hope it happens sooner:)
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne. Glad to hear you are feeling better. I hope you got some rest....Sorry about the laptop...I know what you mean. Computers can turn you into a crazy person, and yes on accation a potty mouth. I love the pic. of your dog! It really made me chuckle. Have a great day. Sending you sunny thoughts to help melt away the snow, Lisa
ReplyDeleteGlad you got your laptop working! Hate when that happens!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the card, gorgeous colors and love all the distressing!
I spent a month in the Normandy region of France while in college and it is beautiful. The D-Day beaches, museums and the military cemeteries are wonderful to see. I hope you get a chance to go. It is a very touching experience.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better. What a lovely card. Love the blue. Baylee is such a sweetie. Love her face. Sorry about your computer but YAHA for the new one!!
ReplyDeleteSuzanne, happy to hear you and your computer are recovering from your ills! Hate it when that happens and I have a tendency to "potty mouth" too under those circumstances. LOL! Love the pix of your sweet Baylee...So cute!! Thanks for all the details in how you created this beautiful Paris card. Love it!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne, Love your Paris card, est c'est magnifique! Your bucket list trip sounds fantastic. Europe isn't as big a reach for me, France, Spain and Italy are all amazing places. Italy is definitely one of my favourites - mainly for the food! lol! I'm glad you are feeling better though, take care, Lyns xx
ReplyDeleteoh I'm lovin' all the details you added to your card...very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe card is so elegant Suzanne, and blue - my favorite color. BUT Baylee, OMG what a cutie she is! She looks so sweet with her ears pricked up and her eyes like pools of chocolate! To adorable for words...
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Barb
Baylee looks like she is sad for you and saying "Mom if I could I would help you. And no matter how mad you get at that thing, I still love you" She is adorable!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I think you have shown us what breed our Daisy is! She is a rescue and we can tell she's some type of terrier - she has the body style of a Scottie, with Pug coloring - dark gray skin, with soft blonde hair. Do you have a photo of Baylee standing up?

ReplyDeleteThis card is beautiful! I like the colour scheme. The layout is fab.
ReplyDeleteOMG...Baylee is too cute!! My dog, Maddi, does the exact same thing.

Suzanne, Your card is beautiful. So glad you are feeling better. I love this sweet photo of Baylee, she is adorable. Have a great weekend. hugs Jodie from Oz
ReplyDeleteBaylee is adorable.. I always hear one of your babies barking in the background of your copic tutorials, so it's nice to see one of your cuties... And I'm laughing at your potty mouth... I think at times we all have one..so I gave up cursing for lent... let's see what happens next time one of my boys gets the better of me or someone cuts me off on my way to work... lol
ReplyDeleteSuzanne--Baylee is adorable! My Cairn, Piper, always barks back at her when I'm watching your tutorials! They are such wonderful dogs, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteYour cards are fabulous, as always--but today, Baylee stole my heart!
Hi Suzanne,
ReplyDeleteGreat card you made! And how nice to see your little doggie! I've heard her voice :-) but never knew what she looked like.
Thanks for showing!
Louise
Hey Suzanne, I've been to Europe, but never in a hot air balloon! that sounds like lots of fun to me. The card is georgous and so is Baylee. Nice to be able to put a face to the voice in the background on your tut's. thanks again for the inspiration!
