Hello & Happy Wednesday to you all! This will be short and sweet for ya today! I have to finish a couple of projects, pack for the kids, pick them up from school early and head down to my mom's! So lots to do and not enough time to get everything done--ack! Hope you all have a wonderful day--and make sure & check back tomorrow & Friday--I will be pre-posting with lots of fun projects for ya!! And oh yeah, Happy Anniversary to me & hubby too---gotta fit that in too, LOL!
NewsBitz:
-Don't forget tomorrow is the Pink Cat Studio Digi release--more fun images and a special one too that you won't want to miss! Check back here tomorrow!
-Please say a special prayer for Sarah Anderson (sairabee on SCS) and her family for the loss of her sweet angel boy Henry who was 3! My heart aches for her & her family today--I can't imagine the loss of a child--such a horrible tragedy :o( If you'd like information on how to donate to the Memorial Fund that was set up, you can do that HERE!
-I will be having a Crafter's Holiday Open House on December 5th at my home from noon until 5 pm!! If you are in the area & would like to come I'd love to have you---just a fun way to meet other crafters nearby, chat & have some holiday sweets! I will be having a Mitten/Hat Giving Tree, so if you'd like to bring a hat and/or mittens for a child under age 12 that would be fab! I will be donating all of them to the local Shelter for Domestic Violence Sufferer's Children! If you think you'd like to come just email me and let me know, and I can send you my addy!! It's sure to be a fun time--so just drop by for an hour or three!!
Doggie Days!!
The sentiment is from PTI's "Vintage Ornaments" (yes, this is my fave set), cut out with my Nestabilities Ribbon Trio and then I added some punched holly (from my MS punch) w/ PTI buttons for berries. All the papers were distressed with my Tonic Distress Tool & Distress Ink pad.
I colored this cutie with Copics, added white sparkly fluff to the fur trim on the cap and Shimmerz (new Antique Lace ) to the very LARGE BONE, LOL (my son says its a dino bone, hee hee)! And of course there are some stickles on there too :o) Wouldn't be one of my cards w/o some stickles, hee hee! I basically made this card just for me, LOL--it will sit in my craft room cuz' I love it so! Hope you like it too!
Here's my cat Poncho all curled up for a mid-day nap--his favorite past time, LOL! He's such a cutie--always in the same room with me and follows me around along w/ the dogs. No such thing as private time in this house, LOL!
And here's my hubby's cat Trouble....er...I mean Tucker, LOL (cuz' he's always in trouble)!! He thinks he's a dog most of the time, is always into or on something he shouldn't be but he sure is a cutie. He decided that this game box was just the right dimensions for a nap, LOL! If there's a box around, Tucker will be in it :o)
This is my daughter's cat "Tinkerbell" (Tucker's sister)! She's almost as naughty as him, but in a more sly way. She is constantly howling in the middle of the night because she has a TREASURE for someone, usually a hairband but once she dropped a dead spider on Alexa's bed--that was PRICELESS, LOL!
And this is sweet Millie (Poncho's sister)! She is a big scaredy-cat, afraid of her own shadow but as sweet as can be! Never doing anything bad, she's the quiet cat of the house always hunting down our bugs, hee hee!
Suzanne, that is the cutest card, love that BIG bone for the pooch. Loved the cat shares, we have 3 and they are all shelter cats, one has only 3 legs and she is the sweetie, one with a partial eye and one with spine/nerve damage. They each dance to their own drummer and all of them are tone deaf, LOL. Hugs

It is just awesome as always..I really enjoyed your cat pics & your bio on each.lol...We just bought our family a kitten in April. Her name is Lucy & she is one of the best things that has happened to all of us. I can not remember a time without her. She thinks she is part dog & part human. Have a great day, Lisa g
ReplyDeleteHi! I'd like more info on your copics classes and may try to come by on Dec. 5th! Love the mitten/hat tree idea! See you on SCS.

Great card -- I love the way you colored him!
ReplyDelete(We have 7 cats -- don't tell anybody! -- and I FINALLY got a photo of all of them in the same shot at the same time. It was a miracle! They like to lie on the living room floor and migrate across it gradually with the sun!)
Suzanne I just love this card!!! Those papers were made for this adorable image!! Your distressing is fabulous as well!! Love this card!!!

ReplyDeleteGreat card Suzanne. Happy Anniversary to you and your hubby. I hope you have a wonderful trip.
ReplyDeleteYour card is just excellent Suzanne. I love the image and those papers are so divine.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing your pics. I had a blue and white persian named Trouble who looks like Poncho who passed away in the middle of May. She was awesome to wait for me when I returned from a trip to California/Lake Tahoe even though my mom and daughter couldn't figure out what was wrong just maybe she was just waiting because she would always look out the window while I was gone. The night I returned I ended up going to animal hospital at 4:30 am because you could tell she couldn't breathe. She was 16 and abused like my daughter and I during my marriage of 15 years. Always there for me. I am almost through with a special scrapbook album of her. I never had a pet before her and never thought it would affect me. Since then my daughter has adopted (on me) a beautiful white cat Casanova and a loving tabby Le Stat. Two boys that love to play. But Trouble will always be close to my heart. I hope you enjoy your trip and thanks so much for all the displays of your cards but more so on the instructions on your creativity on making them!!
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary to you and your hubby. Wonderful looking cats...I thought my 'Jinks was the only one who slept in a box!
ReplyDelete'Jinks is short for hi-jinks...an appropriate name as he was always hiding on my when he was a kitten and very much full of mischief.
