Hello everyone & Happy Monday to you all! Did anyone miss me, hee hee? It's good to be back home but boy was our vacation a great time--relaxing & fun! We really had a great time and had no schedule whatsoever which never happens ya know! We did lots of kayaking, bike riding, fishing, Putt-Putt golf & lots of seafood eating. We also went to the Tall Ships Race at Charleston's Harbour Fest to see the tall ships as they sailed to Ireland on a race--very cool. Charleston is such a pretty southern city, lovely houses & good seafood! We also made it to Tybee Island, Georgia and climbed all 187 steps to the top of the lighthouse (wow, it was hot too) and ate at the famous "The Crab Shack" and the kids got to feed some alligators. What a fun place under the huge trees dripping with spanish moss & right on the water! I got to read & FINISH 8 books & a stack of magazines while away too which was fabulous! I continued to work out with Jillian while I was away & jogged too so I didn't mess up my program or weightloss any--didn't gain any weight while I was gone thankfully! So I'm crafting away today cuz' I've got lots to catch up and get done. The slideshow below is all of our vacation pictures if you're interested in looking.
I have a few funny stories to share with you that I think you'll get a kick out of, but I'll just share one with you today. One night at dinner, Riley & I had ordered chocolate hush puppies (if you've never had them you don't know whatcha' missin') hot from the stove with vanilla ice cream on top--YUMMO! We started eating & Riley was like "this is sooooo good Mom, the ice cream tastes just like fan air!"! I was like "what the heck is fan air?" & he say's very calmly & innocently "you know, when you hold your mouth open in front of a fan like we do at Grandma's!" (like I knew what he was talkin' about, hee hee) OMG, I laughed so hard that I spit my dessert on the table (another lovely moment in Suzanne-history, giggle)! He couldn't understand why we were laughing cuz' he was TOTALLY serious, LOL--poor guy--I told him next time I get in front of a fan I'll make sure & "taste" the air & let him know what I think, hee hee!!! So funny the things that come out of kid's mouths....
NewsBitz: Also today is my first Monday Guest Spot on the All That Scraps blog if you want to take a peek over there!
I don't have a card to share with you today but I thought I'd share a drawing I did of my daughter at the beach--got to do a bunch of drawings at the beach which was fun for me. I used to draw anime images eons ago so I'm a little rusty but I thought it turned out pretty well. Whatcha' think? It was too big to make a card, so I just matted it and will put it in a frame for my daughter's room. Didn't know I could draw, did ya? LOL--that is my number #1 passion but I never seem to have the time to dedicate to it--hopefully will try to do more soon.
Have a fabulous day & I'll see ya back here tomorrow!
hugz,
Suzanne
