BLOGAVERSARY CELEBRATION!!

Hello all my crafty friends! Today kicks off a huge BLOGAVERSARY event here on my blog--March 26th is my official one year!!

Wow--what a year can bring! When I started this blog I really did not have any expectations other than to share some of my creations with whoever I was lucky enough to have stop by. I figured if I got 5,000 blog hits in a year that that would be wonderful & here I am getting ready to hit 137,000 blog hits--whoaaaa nellie, lol! I never, never thought I'd meet so many kind, supportive and wonderful friends from around this world who all take a moment most days to stop by my blog to see what I've done :o)

Nor did I think I'd take my crafting to the next level by getting published, working on DT's and teaching! Being a stay-at-home mom for 13 years I had kinda let my crafty side and art dreams go by the wayside, never really pursuing anything that I really wanted to do. But isn't that the case for most of us moms? Taking care of kids, hubby's, homes & animals--but not taking care of ourselves. So starting my blog last March was unknown territory for me for sure, but I'm so, so happy that I did it! I have finally taken on my own dreams and found that you can really have it all :o)

I love and appreciate each and everyone of you--I call you all my friends & my biggest supporters! So I thank you for being a friend to me!!

And to thank you I'm having 3--yes 3 BLOWOUT BLOG CANDIES to CELEBRATE with you!!

Today is BLOG CANDY #1, Friday will be #2 and Sunday will be #3---you will not want to miss any of them cuz' they each have lots (LOTS) of my favorite things in them including stamps, embellies, dp, markers & other goodies!!

But first I want to show you a quick card I made with some of the new Whiff of Joy stamps! Since I'm celebrating my blog's 1 year birthday I made a birthday card to share with all of YOU!

{Recipe: Whiff of Joy accessory stamps, PTI sentiment from Anniversary Gift set, colored w/ Copics, Black Spica pen, Ice Stickles, PTI dp & cs, Offray sheer ribbon, Nestabilities}

I love these colors together & this kitty is too cute for words!! If you're interested in buying any of the new Whiff of Joy Guardian Angels or Accessory stamps here in the states, 7 Kids College Fund will have them for pre-order this week!
***************************************************************

BLOG CANDY #1

-1 Bag of Assorted Primas
-2 Bottles of Stickles and small sample of Diamond Glaze
-2
Alterable Items (matchbook and stack of coasters)
-1 roll of white satin ribbon and 1 Stampin Up inkpad

So whaddya gotta do to enter you ask, hee hee! Well you know how I love to be nosy & ask questions--soooooo.....You need to answer this question in your post-

"Is there something you've seen me do on my blog this past year that you would like to see in a tutorial?"

If you'd like to spread the word about my blog candy, well I'd love that too :o) Just make sure you do not leave a comment anonymously--please leave a name & email if you don't have a blog!

You have until Saturday at midnite (EST) to enter for this candy and the winner (randomly picked) will be announced for this candy #1 on Sunday's blog post!! One entry per person per candy please!! (so you can enter for each candy but only 1 time, okay)

I can't think of a tutorial that I'd like you to do but I love the ones on Copics that you've done. While I don't own any yet, when I do, you can bet that I'll be re-watching your tutorials on those.

  16. LOVE the kitty form WOJ!
My request is HOW do you select colors? All of your cards are so coordinated with the paper and stamped/colored images. What is your process? Do you design the card first with paper, layers, etc. then color based on that. Do the image first then design around it? Etc.?????
I really, really, REALLY struggle with this part.

  17. Well I have just found your blog today, so I don't know, I guess I just need you to tell me everything! LOL

As far as what I'd like to see in a tutorial, I'd love to see how you made the frame for that gorgeous Tilda by the Sea card. It's still my favorite card and I love all the different elements you did with it. Love, adore it!

    Hugs to you,

  22. I love reading your blog. I think you were one of the very first to reach out to me when I was starting. While I have started blogging, my progress is slow. I love to see your creativity in your cards and projects. I have been reading some of your other comments and I have to say I agree with most of them. I would like to see you tie the perfect bow, color the perfect image, stamp perfectly on a towel. I guess I would just love you to share your creativity with me and perhaps I can pick it up through osmosis. Keep up the fantastic work; congrats on your anniversary and let's hear it for a million hits.

  48. Hi Suzanne,
Happy Blogaversary! :) Thanks so much for offering this wonderful blog candy. As for something I'd like to see you demo . . . I actually have 2 things :) First, I'd love to learn how you tie your bows. I love ribbon and bows and put it on most of my cards, but I feel that I'm not very good at tying bows. Second, you made a card a while back with a dragon from H&M stamps (sort of a Puff the Magic Dragon type card) and you did a sort of banner on the card. I'd love to learn how you did that (I hope that makes sense). Thanks again :)

I'd also like to see your thought process for always picking the perfect combo of colors & paper...but I know that can't be made into a tutorial...can it?? :)
I've linked you up but I will post a pix of your candy on my next post!
Hope you had a wonderful day, I'm sure these comments brought a smile to your face...you so deserve it all!
