Back To School Again--Yippee!!

Happy Tuesday afternoon everyone! I just have a quick post for ya today, no projects. I'm working on some top-secret stuff that I will be sharing in the next week, so I'm staying busy. I just wanted to post a couple of pictures of my children--today was the first day of school. Alexa started 7th grade and my son started 5th grade---oh how they have grown!!

My daughter had her outfit picked out and ready, carefully applied her lipgloss and had me straight iron her hair for her---what a change from the past year. She's always been such a tom-boy in alot of ways, but not anymore!! I took her and her best friend to get manicures and pedicures yesterday as a treat--I don't think I had my first mani until I was in my twenties (I also walked to school in the snow, played w/ the dinosaurs & blah blah as my daughter likes to tell me :))! Anywhoo, she's obsessed with Michael Phelps (the Olympic swimmer in case ya don't know) and she decided to get gold nailpolish to honor all his "golds"--oh my...sigh...!! The other picture above is my daughter and her best friend at the school bus stop this morning---aren't they cute?

This is my son Riley's last year of elementary school and then he'll join his sister at the middle school. My baby is getting big!! He was both excited to see his friends and worried he wouldn't like his teacher--we'll see how he did in a little while when he gets home. He didn't want me to walk him to the bus stop this year cuz' he is big enough to go by himself now--ok, I didn't push it but it made me just a lil' bit sad :( He'll always be my baby though!!

I will be back tomorrow with the last "Copic" tutorial for ya and the finished card. Hope you all had a great day, mine was very productive with the kids back in school. Oh how I love school!

See ya,
Suzanne

  1. Oh you know you are so happy. Your kids look happy too= how is that. Mine won't even mention it and I have to try to get them to bed so they get a good nights rest. I have been enjoying your tutorials too Susan, thanks for sharing your tips. Heidi

  2. Hi Susan, Your kids are beautiful. I also have a soon to be 12 year old daughter and she was a really big tomboy until this year. I have a 2 year old son. It will be a few more years before he is going to school. Oh how I dread those days. I was looking at your photo that you have posted on your blog of yourself and your daughter looks just like you. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work with the rest of us.
