Neapolitan Yummers!

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday!  Can you believe that tomorrow is April 1st already?  Wow--March flew by and I'm happy to be done with it to tell you the truth, LOL!  It was a very lonnnngggg month for me!  Spring is coming to VA and I'm soo happy--the trees are blooming, the grass is green & it's supposed to be 80 this week--wahoooo!!

We had a fabulous time in NYC--really, it couldn't have been any better!  It was nice to get away to new scenery and just spend time as a family and really connecting & having fun together. We did some shopping, lots of sight seeing around Central Park, visited the USS Intrepid, climbed to the top of 30 Rockefeller Center (Top of the Rock) & did the NBC Studio tour!  We also spent 2 days in Central Park at the zoo and taking a pedi-cab tour (bike cabs) which was really fun.  One night we saw "South Pacific" on Broadway (oh how I love the theater) and if you go to NYC you have to go to Macy's--it's the largest in the world and they have a floor of shoes (I'm in heaven)!!  A really nice time--the slideshow of our NYC trip is below (if you get this as a subscription you have to come to the blog site to view them)!  We got home around 1 am on Monday morning from NYC, then I had to teach a Copics Class at 11 am which I always enjoy and then hubby, me and Riley went to see Bon Jovi ROCK it out onstage (honestly, one of the greatest concerts I've been too--and I've been to a lot of them)!!  I'll have some Bon Jovi pics for you tomorrow--we had awesome seats--I do love Jon Bon Jovi!!  I remember getting their first album when I was 11--ack--so long ago! LOL!  But we got home at 1 am again & I'm still exhausted (as I type this up at 3 am in the morning)--I need some sleep, hee hee!

NewsBitz:

-Tomorrow is April 1st--which means lots of things happening in CraftLand, hee hee!  I'll have my Magnolia-licious Sketch project for you tomorrow and will start sending out the emails to those of you who have subscribed to the NEW mini-magazine "Through the Craftroom Door"--the paper versions will soon follow in the mail!

-If you're looking to sign up for a subscription to the mini-magazine or want a sneakie-peekie of the first edition you can go to the main site HERE for all of that info!

LOVE YA!

I was so excited when I got home to find that all my NEW My Mind's Eye papers from their LUSH lines had come in the mail--I love the colors and patterns in this line.  For this card I used the brown & pink lines to create my card with a Verve sketch HERE.

This cute lil' girl image is from Elisabeth Bell's line of stamps for SCACD and she's called "I Heart Ya"--isn't she a cutie?!  She's colored with copics (E29,E25,E53, R12,R11,R00) and then I've added some stickles to her shirt and heart for sparkle.  The background was embossed with my CB folder and I used my Bow Easy to make my bow and tied a heart charm to hang below it!  Some chocolate pearls finish it off--just a fun, cute card for someone special!

I'll be back tomorrow with some more fun projects for you!
Here is the slideshow of our NYC trip for you below:

Tulips A-Bloom!

Hi and Happy Wednesday to you all!  By the time you read this I will hopefully be on my way to NYC for our spring break vacay!!  It takes us about 4 hours to get there so I'll use that time to read while hubby drives, lol--maybe a nap too :o)  I'm just so excited to get away and do some fun things and spend quality time with the family.  This past month has been really hard and somewhat of a blur, so I hope to get my mojo refreshed and catch up with everyone!

NewsBitz:

-The new mini-magazine is finished and off to the publishers as we speak--yay!  If you haven't signed up for a subscription yet you can access all the info on it right HERE!

Tulips A Bloom!

Tulips are my favorite flower in the whole wide flower kingdom, hee hee--I love all of the colors!  This beautiful image is NEW from Karen Lockhart called "Spring Flowers" and is from her new spring collection!  I've paired it up with those new fabulous papers from Basic Grey called "Green at Heart".  The pendant cut-out behind the image is a Spellbinders pendant "Kaleidoscope" and the border trim is a MS border punch.  The bow was done with my Bow Easy tool!

I colored the image with Copics, then used Diamond Glaze on the pot and the centers of the daffodils.  The violet flowers got pearls made with my Viva Decor Pearl Pen and stickles on the other flowers!  The entire card got a spritz of Smooch Spritz in Vanilla.  Hope this makes you think of Spring this March day!  See ya next week!

Egg Painter!

Hello everyone & Happy Tuesday to you all!  I am so ready for March to be over with I tell ya--it has been one of the roughest months EVER!!  Between starting the Online Copic Classes and getting this mini-magazine ready for the printers I've been working non-stop, 20 hour days and the stress has caused me to lose 18 lbs!! ACK!  But I'm happy that the online Copic Classes are going well, and although there are a few things I still need to get done over there it's running pretty smoothly and everyone seems to be enjoying them (I thank you all for that)!  I leave tomorrow for a 5 day trip to NYC that I badly need, lol--it will be nice to get out of the house and away from work for awhile to refresh my mojo!  This is an early Spring Break trip for us and we'll be seeing "South Pacific" on Broadway & hoping to spend some time in Central Park and the Zoo (supposed to be sunny & in the high 60's-yay)!  I will be checking emails and approving people for the Online Classroom in the evenings--but I'm only giving myself 1 hour a nite for that--me and the laptop have spent wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too much time together lately, lol!  So I will have 1 more post tomorrow and then not again until next week (please promise to come back & visit me)--the kids have off next week but I will be working hard and getting projects posted on the blog to make up for lost time this month!  And after this month passes I will be able to get more done for my blog thankfully!

NewsBitz:

Egg Painter Tilda

I was sooo excited to receive my new Magnolia Easter/Spring stamps from Diana of Magnolia-licious last week!  One of my favorite activities to do as a child and with my own children when they were younger was to color and decorate eggs for Easter.  Easter has always been a fun way of welcoming in Spring in our household, with hidden Easter baskets, treats, coloring Easter eggs and Easter egg hunts.  Sadly as the kids have gotten older they're not into those things as much, so we tend to travel or take a trip over Easter now to celebrate but the memories will always be there!  And have you seen the new Hoppy Easter Magnolia stamps yet?  They are CUTE as a bunny and you can see them all HERE!

This lil' cutie is "Tilda Painting Egg" and I just think she's a doll!  The papers are all by My Minds Eye (older collections from my stash) and the layout was this past Saturday's SFYTT Sketch at Jen del Muro's blog HERE!  I grabbed some more of my Prima pearl swirls and added them to the mix--gosh how I love these embellies :o)  Bow was made with my Bow Easy and then I added a button and pearl to top it off with!

She's of course colored with Copics (R22,R20,R00,BG23,BG11,BG10,C2,C1,E25,E31,Y21) and then I've added stardust Stickles to her shirt's trim, her shoe tongue and the egg--then some diamond glaze to the rest of her shoes and top of egg and paintbrush!  The background behind her was embossed using one of the Asian CB folders that I just love!  This card just makes me want to shout out "HAPPY SPRING" to you all!

I'll be back tomorrow with a new post--see ya then!!

Gina K Blog Hop-Spring!

Hi everyone!  This is my second post for today, so don't miss the earlier post!  Tonight there is a special Gina K Blog Hop featuring one of the new stamp sets called "Happy Spring"!  This set is just delightful--the images are gorgeous and really fun to play with.  I already have a second card planned out with this set!  And when you buy this set you get the Card Club Kit with it for free--includes instructions and cardstock!!

I've been in a purple kind of mood these past few days and I can't wait for the spring crocus' to pop up and start blooming!  I made this card with my mom in mind--think it might be her Easter card this year!  I colored with copics and added some stickles to the image for some bling.  The papers are all distressed a bit and then I created those corner pieces with my border punch.  I love me my Prima flowers, so I layered some and added them around the bottom of the image.  Some ribbon, pearls and a tag finish it off--plum purdy!!

For even more projects with Happy Spring, please check out these GinaK Designer's blogs:

Enjoy the spring weather this weekend--I know I sure will!

Swiss Flowers!!

Happy, Happy TGIFriday!  It's gonna be a beautiful weekend here in VA--mid 70's and I'm almost caught up on my sleep, lol!  Tonight my good pal Marti is coming over so we can finalize the mini-magazine and I will finish setting up the website to go along with it this weekend too.  Lots to do before my NYC trip and I don't want to be worried about work when we're away--that's no fun!

Classes over at the Color Me Creative site are going really well, all the kinks are worked out and everyone seems to be enjoying them--for that I am very thankful.  When you work that hard, for such a long time on something it is wonderful to hear positive feedback--so I thank you all for that!  I'm running the introductory prices thru Sunday, so if you're on the fence about signing up they're extended for a few more days--on Monday the prices will go up by $5 each!!  And if you're around today between 3-4 pm EST, stop by the Main Site HERE to chat with me!

NewsBitz:

-Pink Cat Studio had a NEW Digi RELEASE yesterday, but the website was down--so make sure and stop by the store HERE to check those cuties out!

-Haven't signed up for the NEW Mini-Mag "Through the Craftroom Door" yet?  You can read all about it HERE!

Swiss Flowers

I LOVE CC Designs Swiss Pixies--they're just so cute and so much fun to color!  This one is called "Heidi Among the Flowers" and you can buy her HERE!  I used some of these in my Copic classes, because they offer great coloring spaces!  The papers are Cosmo Cricket's "Dutch Girl" --kinda appropriate, hee hee! I hoard this paper, cuz' I love the color combo!

All of my edges were distressed with my Tonic Distress Tool for a little vintage vibe :o)  I layered Prima Hydrangeas with cream flowers and topped them with Prima red roses (find them all HERE)!  The swirls are from a punch and then I added some red pearls to them.

She's of course colored with copics (BG72,BG11,BG10 & R29,R24,R22,R20) with some stickles on the flowers and her belt. I drew in some extra blades of grass with my copics--and those soft blended edges are done with my Inkssentials Blending tool (luv it, use it everyday)!

Now don't forget to stop back by tonight at 11 pm for the Gina K Blog Hop--I'm gonna show off some of the new sets for ya!  Have a fabulous weekend!

Spring is in the Air!

Hello and Happy Thursday to you all!  This has been the shortest and longest week ever--how CRAZY is that, lol!  I'm looking forward to some downtime this weekend--it's supposed to be in the 70's and we're taking the kids to Great Falls to have a picnic on Saturday!  The weather has been glorious the past few days--I've had my windows open and even managed to get my dogs out for a long walk!  Spring is definitely on it's way and I couldn't be happier!  Even the grass is getting greener and I love that it's light out later--makes me feel like I have more hours in the day!  LOVE THAT!!  I'm off to see my daughter sing tonight in the District Chorus festivals--which is always fun!

NewsBitz:

Spring is in the Air!

This little cutie is from Victoria Case's new stamp line for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design--she's called "Little Aud"!  She's so spring-y and just perfect for the season with her bunny friend!  The papers are new from DCWV called "Cafe Mediterranean"--love the color combos!

She's of course colored with Copics and I've added some diamond glaze to her eyes and her clogs.  The sentiment is from PTI's "Tiny Valentines" set and the flowers are all by Prima!  Love that border huh--it's a border punch from MS!  Cute lil' bow was made with my Bow Easy!

I hope you have a marvelous day and I'll see you back here tomorrow!

Hello!

Hi everyone!  No projects for you today--I took the day off yesterday to recover from the Grand Opening of the Color Me Creative Classroom!  Today I'm working on lots of projects to share with you all!

WOW---there are a lot of you ladies that enrolled and I'm humbled and honored that you all chose to take a class with me :o)  I had to manually enter your emails starting at midnight Sunday night and it took me alllllllllll day, lol!  Thanks to everyone who stopped by Monday Night for the PAR-TAY on the Chat site--it was crazy and fun and lots of prizes were given away!  I will be back tomorrow with some fun projects for you--but I wanted to address a few things below for you all!

classblinkie

**The main site of Color Me Creative is open to EVERYONE--there you can meet others, get news, chat with me and sign up for classes!  MAIN SITE HERE

**If you enroll, it takes 24 hours in most cases for me to get the PayPal invoice and enter you into the system.  Once I have sent the invite, you MUST sign up on the invitation and then I have to approve you before you can access the class.  This all takes a bit of time and I try to do it as fast as I can. Also on that invite will be a web address for your classroom site--each class has a separate site so you need to bookmark it and note it.  The classroom web addresses are on the main site as well for you!

**If you haven't received your invite, please check your SPAM folders!  If you haven't received it after 24 hours feel free to email me--even though I sent out all the invites the NING network didn't process them all for some reason.

**Please do not invite other people to the Classroom sites (class 1, class 2, class 3)--I've seen a lot of people pending for approval that were invited by other people than myself and who have not registered or paid.  I will continue to cancel their invites--the only invitation that is valid is if you receive it from me AFTER you have paid!  You MAY however invite people to the Main site (link above) which is open to everyone! Thanks for respecting me on this!!

**I will check Homework Assignments 3x a week--I comment directly on your photo's in the photo gallery. Please TAG your homework assignments with the TAG I put next to the Homework Assignment--its on the main page of your classroom site.  This makes it so much easier on me to find them all especially once you all start uploading regularly.

**I will answer emails for the Classrooms from Mon-Friday 1-7 pm EST, the weekends I will check in on the site, but I try to keep them free for family time.  If it's urgent email me with "URGENT" in the subject line.

**Internet Explorer may or may not allow you to view videos and photos on the class sites--I suggest downloading Mozilla Firefox (it's free and I use it everyday) to fix this problem.  Also if you can't open videos clear your browsers cache (see here) and download the latest version of Flash Player (10.0) see here.

**My videos are secure--they cannot be embedded or copied to any sites, so if you try this you will get a security warning and they will not be viewable.  They are only viewable on the classroom site!

REFERRALS--I will be sending out referral bucks this week, so please look for them if you referred someone and they signed up!

And of course thank you for your patience--I appreciate it!

Winner of the Zutter Distrezz Machine is:
congrats Debbie--email me with your information!

It's A BIG DAY!!

Happy March 15th to you all!  EEK--my Color Me Creative website is LIVE and running (not without some bumps and fixes along the way, hee hee)!  Info on that site, which is open to the public is below, but I'll be there live today to chat and give out some awesome prizes, so stop by and say "hi"!  If you have enrolled for a class, please look for your invite SOMETIME today--I have to do it manually and its taking me awhile to enter all the email addresses and then approve members.  So give me 24 hours before you start emailing me saying you didn't get an invite, ok---or else it will be hard for me to do everything I need to do!   And I pulled an all-nighter so I might not sound coherent, LOL--and I will be going to bed around 6 am est, so if you don't get approved right away that's why!

I've done my best to set up secure Classrooms and I hope you all respect me enough and the hard work and time I've put in to not share what is in the Classroom Sites.  I have copyrighted my materials and I have lots of eyes and ears out there (yay) who will keep an eye on that so I hope that isn't a problem!

This is a jam-packed post today with a Magnolia-licious DT Blog Hop and a Copic Creations Challenge Anniversary all wrapped up into one!

NewsBitz:

-Stop by the MAIN "Color Me Creative Classroom" site HERE and say HI and join in to win some fun prizes!  If you join the main site I will be picking random members to win some awesome prizes donated by the DT's I work for!  I've worked hard, so I hope you like it and if you're taking a class I THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for trusting me and my work enough to do so!

-If you have referred someone and they have registered for a class--I will refund you the referral bucks in a couple days, once I get some sleep and get invites all sorted! So don't worry-they're coming!

If you're starting the BLOG HOP with me or you came from my pal Kerry's Blog, after you finish here HOP back to the beginning at Becca's Blog!

This card is ALSO for today's 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY for the Copic Creations Challenge Blog--our challenge is to use a Copic technique we've done the past year!  So I have two--blonde hair and skin tones!  You can find all the info on how to join in and WIN BIG PRIZES (including a free Copic On-line Class from me) HERE!

Isn't this "Bridesmaid Tilda" the sweetest?  The papers are from Making Memories and PTI and the base layer of my card is a sheet of acetate folded to make a card (used my Scor-Pal)!  The flowers are all by Prima with PTI buttons in the center (mini-rosebuds are from here).  I die-cut some more acetate and cardstock with a Cuttlebug scroll die, twisted them and stuck them into the flowers!  All my papers were distressed with my Tonic Distress Tool!

She's colored with Copics of course, hee hee (G00,G000,V12,V000,V0000) and I added a few stickles to her dress trim and flowers.  The soft background you see?  I teach how to do that in my Copic Class at My Creative Classroom :o)

Here's a close-up of those pretty flowers and fun acetate scrolls I added--to make the acetate POP I added Stardust Stickles to them!  Now if you read the fine print here AND you leave a comment, I will enter you for Blog Candy that is EITHER A FREE ONLINE Copic Class by me or a $40 GIFT CARD to Magnolia-licious to spend as you please!

Now I'm the LAST STOP on this Blog Hop so you can head over to the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog or start over with BECCA who began the HOP!

Don't forget to pop over to the Copic Creations Challenge Blog to enter to WIN BIG and hop to the DT's blogs cuz' we're ALL giving away something today--you don't wanna miss it!!

Scoot, Scoot-a-Loo!!

Yay and Happy Friday to you my Friends!  Wow, what a crazy 2 weeks it's been and I am DOG-Tired (no offense to my doggies who live quite the high life, lol)!  I always say if I'm gonna be reincarnated I want to come back as a dog that's treated really well. Right now I'm so envious of my dogs, LMBO--sleep, eat, play, get love, eat bone, chase birds, sleep some more!  I'd just like ONE whole day like that (minus the chew bone and chasing birds, hee hee) to recuperate a bit!  And my ghost doggie seems to have reappeared in my craft room!  Yesterday evening I was so tired after working on a ton of projects that I laid my head right down on my craft table for a minute--when I did that all the button containers on my shelf behind me flew off and hit the floor! SCARED THE LIVING BEJESUS outta me I tell ya!  LOL!  And if the ghostie was trying to get me motivated, well....IT WORKED!  I quickly finished up my last project and went downstairs--hubby thinks it was trying to tell me to leave and take a break which could be true too.  So I listened and had some Japanese for dinner (thanx hubby) and sat in my chair and worked on my websites until after 2 am, LOL--that's just the way it is here in the Dean Household right now.  And tomorrow I have a Copic Class with 5 ladies coming so I hope Ghostie doesn't appear--ack--might scare them away!

Anywho, I will announce the winner of the Zutter Distrezz machine and my Hidden Blog Candy tomorrow so stop by cuz' you might be the lucky winner!  And don't forget on Monday I'll be having the Grand Opening of my On-Line Copic Classroom "Color Me Creative"--I'm so nervous and stressed I tell ya.  I hope you like everything that I've done cuz' I've worked really hard to make sure I included everything!!  Also on Monday is a Magnolia-licious DT Blog Hop that you don't want to miss!

************************************************
NEW Victoria Case for SCACD---Scooter Girl!!

Today is a special release from Victoria Case for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design--this collection is called "Hearts and Hugs-Spring Collection" and it is SWEET as candy I tell ya!  So many cute lil' girl images to touch your heart and Susana has named them after members of our DT--SWEET!  And the DT is having a fun Blog Hop to showcase all these cuties for you today!  So if you're starting with me then you want to start at the beginning of the BLOG HOP with Aud's Blog HERE!  (If you get lost along the way the entire Blog Hop list is on the store blog HERE)

As you know I'm really into vintage things these days although I don't like to have just one style--I'm too ADD for that :o)!  But I wanted to take a more modern girl image like this cute scooter gal called "Lil' Dianne" and create a vintage look with it!  I've used some of my favorite K&Co papers called "Marcella-Ancestry" and distressed all my edges with my Tonic Distress Tool.  The sentiment is from PTI's "Vintage Picnic" and the scrolls are from a punch that I have and then I added pearls(in blush) to the ends.  And once again I've layered many Prima flowers and mini-roses together for a more feminine look.

And here's this cutie close up--she was colored with Copics (R22,R20,R00, E55,E53,E50,BG23,BG11,BG10).  I added some diamond glaze to her eyes and the wheels of the scooter and stickles to her shoes, hairbands and scooter streamers!  The soft background was done with my W Grays (I teach how to do this in my Advanced Copic Class 3)!  I think she's a real sweetie!

Now to continue on the Blog Hop you need to hop on over to my pal Anki's Blog HERE!  And when you're done hopping head over to the store to pick out a few cuties for yourself!!

Twinkle Lil' Star!!

Happy Thursday to you all!  I'm busy today again---hey, what's new lately right!  But I've got to run errands, pick up kids from school activities, work on projects and videos for the new magazine and more.  Does that tire YOU out? LOL--it definitely tires me out, so I try to move through the day concentrating on one chore at a time or else I start feeling overwhelmed.  Thank you so much to each and everyone of you that have signed up for a Copic Online Class and/or the new mini-mag---it means so much to me.  And you've all left me the nicest comments and emailed me urging me on and supporting me and that really means A LOT to me--I can only hope to live up to each and everyone of your expectations!

On Monday, March 15th the main "Color Me Creative Classroom" site goes LIVE and this site will be open to everyone!!  All info on the classes, resources and event news will be on this site along with the chat forums where you can talk with me!  So to welcome in our GRAND OPENING that day I will be at the site LIVE from 3 pm EST until 7 pm EST so stop by and say hi or ask me anything you might want to know!  And I will also be giving away prizes during that time so you don't want to miss it.

If you've registered for an Online Copic class you will recieve an invite (or invites if you've registered for more than one class) on the 15th sometime that day.  Please don't email me about not receiving your invitation unless it's the 16th and you still haven't received it--I will try to get them out as fast as I can but I will be doing it all myself manually :o)  This invitation is the key to the classroom so make sure and check your email for it!

And I'm so proud I taught myself how to make a Blinkie Banner, hee hee--yes I did it at 4 am in the morning but I'm still proud!!  So if you want to add it to your blogs you are more than welcome to do that--when you click on the actual blinkie it will go to the main website but will not be active until the 15th!!
(I'm fixing the blinkie code---sorry)

Twinkle Twinkle My Lil' Star

Today Pink Cat Studio releases some brand new, CUTE digi stamps featuring little stars!  Don't we all have a lil' twinklin' star in our lives?  I made this project very soft and pretty and super girly!  I was thinking of all the little girls getting geared up for their dance recitals soon---I SO MISS my daughter dancing ballet.  She was so very talented and I enjoyed every minute she was on stage and wish she would go back to it, but that's her choice of course.  I created a card and decorated a mini-pail filled with chocolate hearts--but you could fill it up with lots of fun treats!

My card uses "Itty Bitty Betty-Star Costume" and my papers are from Basic Grey's "Lily Kate" (a fave of mine but I think they retired it, sob)!  The little mini star paper is from PTI and the sentiment is from a Verve Stamp set.  I used my Pinking Circle Nestabilities to create a star like background and of course my image was colored with copics (Y04,Y11,Y00,R21,R20,R00).  And the bow was made with my Bow Easy and some pretty pearls to finish it off!

Here's a close-up of the lil pail--(buy similar small pails HERE)--I decorated it with matching papers and some pretty ribbons.  I printed my digi stamp a size smaller so I could fit it on the top of my pail--so cute!

Make sure and stop by the Pink Cat Studio Digi Store HERE to buy your lil' stars and the Store Blog HERE to see the rest of the DT's projects!

If you're taking my Copic On-Line Classes (see HERE) you will see how and learn how I colored this Tilda from start to finish in a Distress Inks style--very vintage!  All the glittered accents were created by die-cutting my Scor-Tape Sheets (see HERE), peeling off a layer and then adding glitter!  Fun huh?  And yep those Scor-Tape Sheets you can die-cut and punch thru them and then add glitter or micro-beads to.  I added some stickles to my image as well and the double bow was made with my handy-dandy Bow Easy (if you're reading closely and leave a comment on this post only you will win this Tilda AND a Bow-Easy--you have until Friday to comment)--I love hidden BLOG CANDY, hee hee!  The lil round sentiment stamp is from Stampin' Up!  All my papers were distressed with my Tonic Distress Tool--waiting for my Zutter Distrezz tool very impatiently, lol!

I just love this image of Tilda in her cute lil' cargo pants--too fun!
(I used BG93,BG96,R22,R20,W3)
Remember you can find all these cute stamps at Magnolia-licious!

Side View of the Easel Card--these are so fun to make!

And here is a close up of the "Post Bag of Love Letters"--lots of stickles to dress it up a bit.  And I stacked lots of cream flowers with my mini Prima Roses--the border was done with a MS punch.  Just to let you know I have a bucket filled with just cream/white flowers (so I can color them, paint them however I want) and a bucket full of different sizes roses, LOL--I'm a total flower addict I tell ya!

Hope you enjoyed this post--see ya tomorrow with some NEW Pink Cat Digi stamps!!

Spring Gifts!

Hello and Welcome Back!  Sorry I was absent for so long but I have been piled under hours of video, shooting it and edit it and loading it for the Online Copic Classes--I won't bore you with all the details but it is ALOT of work getting all this ready for you!  My heart and soul (and sleepless nights and sore eyes, hee hee) is going into getting both of these businesses up off the ground.  So I appreciate the kind words and patience---if you've emailed me and I haven't responded yet, just email me again!  I've got a deadline of the 14th to get the classes and materials done, my Dirty Girl projects and magazine projects---so this week will be CRAZY, LOL!  My hubby is ready to smack me silly (not really, lol) but he's ready for me to be done now I think!  Last night I ate a whole head of steamed cauliflower with cheese on top for my dinner---it's the first meal I've had in a week (gasp)--I tend to get ALL consumed in a project and forget to eat, shower and all those other things I'm supposed to do, LMBO!  So that explains where I've been and what I've been up to!

NewsBitz:

-If you've enrolled for an On-line Copic Class with me "Color Me Creative Classroom"--look for an invite (s) to the class(es) that you've enrolled for on the 15th that will come to your email box.  That is your way into the Classroom Site--the main site will be open to everyone though and that's where all the Main News and Chat's will be!  IF YOUR PayPal Email is NOT the one you want the class invite sent to--please email and let me know.

-The bulk of the classes are done--but over the course of next week I will be adding a few short videos to touch on some of what is in the classes some more--call them EXTRAZ, lOL!  On each Classroom site there is a main page---and that is where the new videos will be announced!

-If you want to know what the heck I'm talking about---See the Color Me Creative Classroom HERE (and no matter WHERE YOU LIVE in the World you can take these classes at anytime and on your own time!)!  The NEW mini-mag "Through the Craftroom Door" info can be accessed HERE.

Try It Out Tuesday #58--Buttons Galore

Today is Try It Out Tuesday for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design and I've challenged the DT to show off their buttons on their creations!  I LOVE buttons--I have them in every shape, size and color and they're fun to use.  I wanted to create a very vintage looking Easter Gift Set--I'm very into vintage these days I tell ya (a phase I'm going thru, hee hee)!  I love with vintage that it's a bit primitive with very feminine touches, lace, glitter, swirls with roughed up edges!  Hey that's how I would describe meself too! LOL!  Anywho I created an Easter gift bag and matching glassine bag that holds a card inside and used a fabulous Lockhart Stamp called "IB Birds"!

I took a small glassine bag and gussied it up on the outside with pearls, ribbon, button and some swirls.  The patterned paper swirls were cut with a CB die cut and the glittered swirls were cut with my new fave tool "SLICE" (man I love that lil' thing).  I cut the swirls with my slice from Adhesive Sheets (buy here) peeled a layer off and added lots of MS glittah!

Inside the glassine bag is a little card with one of my favorite sentiments (Heidi Grace set) that you can write a note on the back or the recipient can use as a bookmark.  I added some small pearls and a MS butterfly punch-out to pretty it up (along with some distressing and inking).

I took a plain kraft gift bag and decorated it with some paper, flourishes, glittah and other fun trims!  The papers are all by Stampin' Up in Bayou Blue!

Here's a close-up of the tag (made with my Slice machine), I added some ribbon and buttons--the sentiment is from PTI's "Mega Mixed Messages" along with some swirl stamps thrown in there.

A close-up of the front bag--I used the Lockhart Stamp "IB Birds" for the centerpiece of the bag.  To me nothing signals Spring more than the green grass and birds chirping outside the open windows--so this image was perfect for the center!  The back cream panel is a Spellbinders Pendant "Lattice" (35% off HERE), then the next cut-out is from Spellbinders "Labels 4", and lots of glittery swirls from my Slice machine!  The bag trims were made with my MS punch to create paper lace!  All of my buttons are from PTI as well.

I just love how it turned out and hope you do too!  Now hop over to the Store Blog HERE to see the DT creations AND to enter for that yummy Blog Candy!
