Sea Birds!

Hello again & Happy Saturday friends!! My kids are STILL sick and I'm still not feeling so hot myself, so I'm keeping it short & sweet for ya today! I will have lots of new projects, my 100,000+ Blog Candy & more CHA pics for ya starting on Monday---so make sure & check back with me 'kay?

My card today uses a great stamp set from Storage Units, Ink & More called "Look What I Caught"---the images I used from this set are not the main images you would think to use from this set! But I wanted to show you the versatility that the SUINK sets have and how many options there are to create so many different scenes with one set!

I stamped half of the pier from the set (the boy sits on the other end) and then stamped on the pelican. I drew in my water with my Copic multi-liner pen (0.3) and stamped out fish, colored them & cut them out too along with the cattails. After cutting the circle out with my nesties I sponged the edges w/ blue ink for my sky and added stickles to the water for shimmer.

The fun dp is from Paper Trey Ink--I love me my polka-dots & they have lots of good paper with 'em! The ribbon & cs is PTI too. This card reminds me of my dad---he loves the water (like me) and loves to sail! So this will probably be put away for his Father's Day card---I'll actually be early with it this year, lol! A quick and easy card to put together and fun too!

BTW, before I leave ya---Susana's Custom Art & Card Design is having a great Web Candy giveaway over on her PCP group site. Up for grabs is a $25 gift card to her store and some yummy Rubber Romance stamps signed by Robyn Ireland(illustrator/owner) herself! Stop by and enter to win---you can find out all the details & enter right HERE!

Have a great weekend and see ya back here on Monday!

Back to Workie!!

Happy Friday everyone! Did ya miss me at all, lol? I'm home safe & sound thankfully and so, so glad to have went out to CHA (Craft & Hobby Association). If you get a chance to go (next one is this July in Florida) you really should go--so many great things to see, people to meet and lots of great make & takes! I enjoyed each and every minute I was there and am already planning to go this summer too :o) I will share pics with you over the next week (don't wanna overwhelm ya with them, hee hee)!

Of course I get home and both of my kids are sick (really bad) with the flu and I'm so exhausted between the time changes and all the walking I did---now I think I'm getting sickie-poo too! And we have snow & ice on the ground---a big change from the 70 degree weather in California, lol!

Me, Marti & Catherine (my CHA roomies) at Joe's Crab Shack the first nite in California! Don't we look cute in our awesome bibs? Bwahhhhahhah! We called ourselves the 3 goofy musketeers--I haven't laughed so much in years! I miss 'em already!!!

Okay, long story short (well kinda, hee hee)! I always have a celebratory drink after flying to celebrate my making it there safe (not a big drinker by the way so don't worry). Catherine & I decided to have these humongous pomegranate margarita's with Pop-Rocks. Well the waiter did not inform us that the Pop-Rocks would literally explode into the air & all over us---I laughed so hard--oh my gosh too funny. Walking back to the hotel that nite we found them in our hair, stuck to our bottoms & everywhere else!

This is me, Marti & Amy Sheffer at the SCS Cupcake Reception! All 3 of us live here in Loudoun County, VA---and believe it or not, but I had to fly to California to actually meet Amy cuz' we're both always super busy, lol!

Above are some of the new paper packs from DCWV (which you know I adore)---the kitchen & whimsy packs are my favorite! There is also 2 called Taj Mahal & Tahiti which were also very pretty. These 4 will definitely be on my very, very LONG "want list"!

Okay, anyone that knows me well knows how much I LOVE zebra print anything. Notice my zebra shoes above, lol---I got this cute lil' zebra & zebra print necklace from a very nice sales guy at MIMI(great totes & bags) who adored my shoes, LOL! And with my new zebra IPhone cover I was set---hee hee! That's my lovely crown all my friends made me wear (for some reason they called me queen the entire time, hee hee)!

Some flashy, cool paper from Rusty Pickle!

I wish I had gotten a picture of these stacked for you but they are AWESOME. They are new FLAT punches from EK Success--they have a button on the back that releases them into a punch and they punch as easy as a stapler! They stack in these cool storage bins on top of each other so they take up no room---FABULOUS!! They have tons of punches & border punches--so keep an eye out for these babies!

Me & Marianne (Copic Guru lady) at the Copic booth. Super talented & super nice lady! She convinced me I need a compressor and airbrush tool (ok, she didn't have to twist my arm very hard hee hee)!

This is me & Kimberly Crawford--she's fabulously talented & super nice and also one of my H&M Design Team sistahs!

Okay, the first 2 days in California were cool & rainy (blech) but on Sunday I woke up to this view out my hotel window and SURPRISE there were mountains (Santa Anna Mts) that I hadn't noticed cuz' of the dreary weather! Cool!

I will be back tomorrow with more pictures for ya! Please make sure and check out my DT sistah's for SUINK--they have lots of sneak peeks for ya and the new stamps will be available on Feb.1st! Today is Kristen & Amber's turn (check out the SUINK blog for all the projects you might have missed this week)!!

Sneak Peeks!

Happy, happy Wednesday! Hopefully I am flying home when you are reading this (although we're getting nasty, icy weather so I hope I'm not delayed). I had an AWESOME time in CA, an absolute BLAST & I really enjoyed every minute. I have never laughed so much, spazzed out with my awesome friends (Marti & Catherine) and just had an all around great time. I went to Disney last nite with Catherine & had so much fun---we ran around like we were 5 years old on a sugar high (if you can imagine that, hee hee)! I have so many pictures to share over the next few days with you of things I saw, did and crazy stuff to share! But I'm exhausted and worn out & getting sick so it will have to wait (sorry)!!

Alrighty, I am going to try and keep this short and sweet cuz' I'm so tired I can't see straight right now (giggle)! Today starts off the Sneak Peeks for the 2 New stamp sets from Storage Units, Ink & More & you will LOVE them! My sneak peek today uses the stamp set "Blarney Stone " which I totally adore cuz' I'm part Irish ya know & this set has all kinds of good St. Patricks Day images :o) This set has so many mix and match images & sentiments to use, I love it! I covered a small tin ($1 each at Michaels) with my matching dp and then one of the cute sentiments from this set. The gold accents are Bella Baubles (goldilocks)!

Isn't this Irish Dancer girl the cutest? All my dp, cs and ribbon is from Stampin Up (green wasabi) which is great for St. Patty's Day me thinks. The scrolls are from punches from Gina K if you're interested in them!

On her skirt I used a gold Spica pen and angel wingz Shimmerz--nice and sparkly. I stamped the sentiment out on cs and then cut it out, bent it a few times in soft folds and then attached it so it looks like she's holding a banner (too cute)! And of course I had to make her Irish hair red!!
Make sure and head over to my DT sistah's blogs today and thru Feb.1st to see sneak peeks of this set and another one called "Goin' To the Chapel"! Today Mary Jo & Janna are up with projects too so stop by & see!
hugz & will post tons more for ya on Thursday!

CHA Day 2!!

Happy Monday to ya all! It was sunny & warm in California yesterday---yay, so nice! Marti had me up at 4 am again (argghhhhh) and we were over at CHA by 9 am & I was exhausted by 5 pm! So much to see and do and so much still left to see--I'll share some with you today. And oh yeah, if you haven't heard by now, Paris Hilton has her own scrapbooking line out and was at CHA yesterday (see below photos)--I didn't know she knew what a scrapbook or scissors were, bwahhahhahahh!! :o)

This is me and Jenni Bowlin--she does great vintage products and I just love 'em--if you haven't checked them out you really should. The funny thing is we went to school together from 6th thru 11th grade back in Maryland---so it was so funny to meet up together here at CHA. She still looks the same and is as sweet as ever.

The pictures above are of Paris Hilton. Now I'm not a fan but I felt it my blogger duty to show you her in case you are a big fan (giggle). She's surrounded by her posse, hee hee!

If you know me well, you know I LOVE animal prints (see my above picture hee hee) and there is alot of it coming out--including these fun papers from Dream Streeet. Love 'em!

Some cute new papers and embellies from BoBunny (show ya more tomorrow).

My favorite line so far is by Anna Griffin (she's one of my favorite lines next to MME) and this line is FABULOUS---it is so coming into my craft room ASAP !
My friend Marti (Smurfette) fooling around at the Doodlebug Booth! Did you know she's not even 4'9--hee hee---I could squish her!!
I will have a slideshow up tomorrow of some of the other new goodies for you including all the new DCWV papers, Doodlebug and My Minds Eye yummies!
Back to CHA early morning---till then...

CHA!!

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you've had a great weekend so far! I had a fabulous day walking around Anaheim & shopping. Bought myself a cool zebra cover for my IPhone and got some nice blisters to boot! I got to go the SCS Cupcake Reception last night which was so much fun! It was so nice to meet my cyber friends & blogging idols in person---I met up with Tosh (StampTalk w/ Tosh), Carole Burrage (Mother's Little Helper), Amy Sheffer (my VA neighbor) & lots of others. Diana Crick was sooo gracious to bring me along and she is even sweeter and kinder in person---love her!

This is me, Diana Crick & my Magnolia-licious DT sistah' Suzy!!

This is me and my H&M DT sistah' Debbie Corbari! She is super sweet & tall--she was squatting next to me here, lol!

Debbie, me and our other H&M Stamp DT sistah' Cindy Lawrence---see they're both taller than me so I had to be in the middle!
It was super fun but I was sooo tired because I'm still on East Coast time---hopeful to catch up soon on sleep but Marti has been waking at 3 am cuz she is CRAZY---arghhhhhhh! I'll share some more pictures with ya tomorrow from CHA!
hugz,
Suzanne

California Dreamin'

Happy Saturday everyone! Well, I made it safe & sound to California---the flight was smooth and Marti & I gabbed the whole way which made time pass quicker! Of course I travel across country to see sun & feel warmth and its raining---just my luck, lol! Oh, well! Marti has 2 classes today so I'm heading out to Newport Beach to take some pictures & do a little sight-seeing--see how much trouble I can get into, hee hee! And tonight I'm going to the SCS Cupcake Reception with Diana Crick which I'm really looking forward to---alot of people I am hoping to catch up with will be there! I'll share pictures with ya'll tomorrow for sure!

Well on Thursday the rest of my Whiff of Joy "Party Animals" arrived (the first batch got lost in the mail somewhere) so I had to ink one up before I left! I think this donkey is so stinkin' cute and I just had to make a baby card with it. If you live here in the states you can get this cutie-pie stamp from 7 Kids College Fund. All the dp, cs & ribbon are from Paper Trey Ink--love that polka-dot paper! Very simple card to make, just lots of layers--but I just love how it turned out! The sentiment is from PTI's "Limitless Labels" set.

This close up shows the stickles on her lil' bow & the diamond glaze on the balloons that I added.
I love that these Whiff of Joy stamps can be used for many occasions too--very versatile! Remember if you want to get the Spring Kit from WOJ you have until January 26th to do so---the images by Elisabeth Bell are fabulous, you will not be disappointed trust me :o)

Alrighty I'm off to do my sightseeing & maybe some shopping---well ok, maybe alot of shopping---hee hee! Have a great weekend!

See ya tomorrow,
Suzanne

Welcome Home Tilda!!

Happy Friday all! As you are reading this, I am probably in the air flying to California for CHA and nervous as all get out!! I will be more excited when the plane touches down safely that's for sure. This is my first trip in 13 years w/o my kids or hubby, so this is a HUGE deal for me and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it (minus the plane trips)--lol! Remember to check back in everyday cuz' I will be sharing projects and lots of news/pics from CHA for ya!

Today I'm sharing one of my most favorite Tilda's evah' (I think I've used her bunches already) but I just love her lil coat & tilted head! You can buy "Decarlia Coat Tilda" at Magnolia-licious if you really love her as much as me :o) When I got this stamp set "Old English" from H&M Stamps, I just knew the lil' cottages would go perfectly with Tilda & friends! It's like they were made for each other---(if you love this set, it is in stock)! And now I'm gonna have to buy the "Old English Accessories" to go with them all, lol!

The yummy dp is by Scenic Route "Sonoma"--love the colors in this dp, a keeper for sure! The flower in the corner is a Petaloo with 2 crochet flowers on top (by Laundry Line). And those are the Nestability Labels 1 that I used--and have you seen all the new Nesties that are coming out! Woohooo, boy do I love 'em and of course will have to order some, a few, ok--lots!! :o)

Alrighty, that's all for me today. Next time you hear from me, hopefully I will safely be in California soaking up some rays!!

hugz,
Suzanne

Puff the Magic Dragon!!

Oh Happy Thursday friends!! I'm super busy today doing laundry, running last minute errands & writing about a thousand notes for my hubby (he has never been left alone this long--who knows what can happen)--LOL! I'm almost scared to leave---my hubby is very together but he can only handle one thing at a time, so I don't know if the animals will get fed or the kids fed, hee hee! We shall see....hopefully I don't come home to a disaster!! I'm so excited to get out to CA and meet all my cyber friends in person---I cannot wait! I will be blogging from CHA so make sure and check in regularly & hopefully have lotsa pictures for ya too!! And when I get back I will have my 100,000 hits BLOG CANDY---yahoo!! :o)

Ok, so if you noticed my title you're probably thinking "what the heck" & no, it doesn't mean I'm smoking anything, lol! I loved, loved the "Puff the Magic Dragon" movie when I was little and this dragon kinda reminded me of him! He is so stinkin' cute & he's from the H&M Stamps set "Dreaming of Princess Land"--which is out of stock right now (sorry) but I'm sure Heather will let you know when its back in stock if you're interested in it!!

I paired him with this cute dp by DCWV "Green Stack" which fit perfectly me thinks! The background on the yellow cs is just a small stamp from one of my PTI stamp sets that I stamped with Versamark Dazzle in "champagne"(such a nice soft shimmer). The buttons are from MME & SEI and I tied a loopy bow with my Scrappers Floss. I made that cute lil' banner just by scoring my cs 4 times so that the center pops up and then cut the ends--so fun!

This close-up shows all the Shimmerz (celery) and Stardust stickles I used--love me my shimmer! I attached his "puff of smoke" to his mouth so he was blowing down on the banner, this set has so many fun images to use! I really love how this card turned out---the cheery colors and the fact that its appropriate for a boy or a girl! Whatcha' think?

Please make sure and stop by Susana's Custom Art & Card Design store blog "Follow Your Heart" today! One of the DT gals, Danni has a tutorial on "Paper Piecing", so if you've never done it & want to learn, make sure & stop by! We will have tutorials on the store blog every Thursday--and next week will be "Stamping on Candles"!

I will have a pre-posted project for you tomorrow and if you could pray for my safe flight to CA, I would so appreciate it!!! I have a nervous belly just thinking about stepping on the plane, lol---but I will make it!!

hugz,
Suzanne

Love You!!

Hello everyone! Back to the real world today--the 4 day weekend was nice but life goes on, right? Did everyone watch or take part in the Inauguration Events yesterday here in the US? I watched and enjoyed every minute of it---I could feel the excitement in the air and felt that maybe, just maybe, this hope and patriotism WILL bring about change for our nation. I listened to Obama's speech over & over again, and just relished in what he had to say and how eloquently he said it---it was a joy to take part in this historical event here in the USofA!! We shall see what the future holds for us....but as for now onto today's projects cuz' you didn't come here to listen to my political views, I'm sure (lol)!

Today is Whatchadoin' Wednesday over at the Storage Units, Ink & More blog---this week is challenge #24 and it was inspired by a photo (you can check it out on the blog). I was inspired to create this "Love Book" card using all the colors in the photo "room". All the stamps used were from SUINK's "Will You Be My Valentine" and "Sweet Things" sets and the dp is from Crate Paper. Basically I cut two cards using my Scalloped Circle Nestabilities and put them together--I stapled the center and then wrapped this yummy PTI ribbon around the center to cover the staple & tied off in a bow.

Each page has a white nestabilitiy heart cut-out on it for continuity(I punched each scallop so it looks more like a doily). I left open spaces so I could write some "sweet" messages to my hubby! Those smaller hearts are from the new Martha Stewart heart punch that I picked up at Michaels.

On this page, I stamped the lil' sweet tart hearts randomly in the background (love those) and then popped up this lil' envie with a love message in it. The shimmer is from Shimmerz which I used on most of the images along with Stardust Stickles too!

This is the final page of the book--I used my CB swiss dots folder on a few of the cs pieces. Just a fun way to express lots of different love notes for a special someone---and a nice keepsake as well. Easy to put together and fun to make too! Remember to stop by the SUINK blog to see the rest of the DT's projects for today's challenge too! If you decide to join in please upload to an online gallery using the keyword "suinkwwc24"--we'd love to see!!
If you haven't pre-ordered the NEW Spring Kit from Whiff of Joy---whatcha' waiting for! You only have till January 26th to do so--its a great value for 10 Elisabeth Bell spring stamps (and they're all beautiful)!
Only 2 days till I leave for CHA in California--I'm super nervous still about the flight but I know it will all be a BLAST!! See ya back here tomorrow with some new projects!
hugz,
Suzanne

Happy Inauguration Day!!

Happy Tuesday & Happy Inauguration Day (for those of us in the states)!! Will you be watching the Inauguration on TV today? I will be, I'm so excited for a new change of guard so to speak & can't wait to see the new ideas & energy that Obama can bring :o) I have (crazy) friends down in DC today probably freezin' their butts off, but they're enjoying every minute of it! I can't take ginormous crowds like that & then the freezin' cold---no way, I'll watch from home thank ya very much, LOL! And soon I'll be off to the warmth of California---sunshine here I come, hee hee!

Today is "Try It Out Tuesday" for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design---this week's challenge is to use any stamp from Susana's store, any dp she sells and only 2 embellishments! Make sure and check out the store blog "Follow Your Heart" to see the rest of the DT's creations. If you'd like to play along just upload to PCP or SCS using the keyword "tiot2" so we can all see, 'kay!

For my card I used a new Karen Lockhart stamp called "Lilacs in Pitcher" which I love--reminds me of my mom & grandma cuz' they love lilacs! The lovely dp is from the Laura Ashley Traditional Collection and those beautiful gold embellies are Bella Baubles in "goldilocks"! I didn't put a sentiment on this one cuz' I might use it for a birthday or a thank you note--so I left the inside blank to stamp whatever sentiment pleases me! Of course using ONLY 2 embellies was hard for me, but sometimes simple is good & I think this turned out rather elegant! Whatcha' think?

Just a quick close-up to show off the diamond glaze I used on the vase and Shimmerz (in iced lavender) on the flowers. Just a subtle but nice effect for this stamp!

I wish you all a wonderful day & I'm off to work on projects for this week!

Until tomorrow....
Suzanne

Beary Happy!!

Happy Monday everyone! Sorry I've been MIA this weekend, but I've been fighting a nasty head cold that I NEED to go away before I leave on Friday for CHA! So I've been resting and catching up on some reading and drinking my vitamin-filled Acai juice :o) Have you guys been following the Inauguration events---the traffic here in Northern VA has been terrible & I'm soooo happy I don't have to go in to DC for anything---too many people for me! But I'm excited to get Obama in the White House to see what he can do--exciting times for our nation right now indeed.s

****BLOG CANDY WINNER----Congratulations to Julie Temple for winning the Valentine Set from SUINK!!

Thanks everyone for playing along--I loved reading what you do or get for Valentine's Day. I ask for exciting things (for me at least, hee hee) like a Big Shot or new photo printer for my past Valentine's Day presents---flowers are nice but I'd rather have stampin' stuff, LOL!

I will have a huge BLOG CANDY GIVEAWAY when I get back from CHA for hitting over 100,000 blog hits! So stay tuned.....its my biggest giveaway yet!
******************************************************

I know, I know...we haven't even celebrated Valentine's Day & here I am working on St. Patrick's Day projects, LOL---that's how it is in the design world, always working ahead! So whatcha' think of this cutie-patootie bear---do you like him? I can't say yet what his name is or who he's by (hint....maybe by someone you already know & love) but I'll tell ya real soon, 'kay! He's colored with Copics and those fun glittery shamrocks are from Michaels---a huge bag for $3! The sentiment was created by me on my computer---pretty fitting me thinks :o) The papers are all scraps that I've had cuz' I have yet to find any cute St. Patty's day dp---if you know where I can find some, let me know! A few yellow stickles on his buttons and buckles and some on his shamrock and he's finished. My grandma would be proud cuz' she was Irish & always celebrated---so this one's for my grandma!!

I'll be back later with the blog candy winner and I've got lots to finish before I leave on Friday too. Have a great day everyone!

hugz,

Suzanne

Woodland Adventures!!

Thank Goodness its Friday cuz' it was a LONGGG week, lol! Hubby and kids have off Monday & Tuesday so we have a nice, long weekend ahead of us--yahoo! I'm sure you all heard the news yesterday about that awful plane crash in NYC--thank god no one was hurt but this DOES NOT help me feel good about flying to CHA next week. I was already super nervous & now I'm thinking of ways to not go---eeekkkkk---I don't know if I'm gonna make it, but we'll see. My friends will kill me if I back out now---oh that's even scarier, LOL! Anyway, I'll stop talking about my plane fears (at least for now, hee hee)!

************************************************
If you haven't entered for my Valentine Blog Candy--you have until tonight at midnite (EST) to do that right HERE! Winner will be announced tomorrow :o)
************************************************

Alrighty then, let's move on to cuteness for the day! Diana sent me these new elf images from Magnolia-licious and this one is "Alva with Flower" and oh my how I love these elfs. I have an elf fetish I think cuz' I just love 'em all, lol! I paired her up (very appropriately me thinks) with the new DCWV "The Green Stack" which is made of 70% recycled papers and the patterns are perfect for elf images--love this pack, DCWV can do no wrong!! I purposefully left off a sentiment so I could use this for any occasion. That cute lil' ribbon charm is by Blue Moon and you can get them at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design--this is in the medium heart assortment but she has TONS of choices. They're all so fun its hard to pick just a few...!

This close-up shows all the Shimmerz I used (golden wheat & angel wingz) on her. I used the Shimmerz on the embossed flowers behind her. If you haven't tried the Shimmerz yet you really should...they're so sheer that you can put a nice coat over your colored image and they dry so fast, I love 'em! I also used distressed stickles on her leafy skirt border and the flower center. Looking at this card just makes me feel cheerful & happy--I love the brightness of it all & hope you do too!

Alrighty, I'm off to breakfast for a friend's birthday and then getting my hair done---(can't show any roots at CHA ya know, lol)! Hope you all have a great weekend!

hugz,
Suzanne

Winter Hello!!

Happy Thursday everyone! How ya doing today? I am trying to catch up on my to-do list which magically never seems to shorten, LOL! My neighbors are having a porch built so my manic dogs have done nothing but bark for 3 days straight--they're driving me crazy!! I love 'em, but sometimes....there's something to be said about having a quiet house :o) Last night I got to go to dinner with a group of my gal pals and saw "Bride Wars"--oh my, it gave me a good laugh, fun, fun!! Definitely a chick flick but oh so funny and I needed some good laughs! Anywhoooo....

***Don't forget to enter for my BLOG CANDY on this POST until Friday at midnite (EST)*** I've been using alot of spring colors lately--wishful thinking I guess (giggle), but it still is winter unfortunately! And I have lots of winter images that want to be inked so I need to listen to them, hee hee! This cute Magnolia image is "Skiing Tilda" and she's in stock over at Magnolia-licious. I used to love to ski (wasn't an expert but I could manage ok) but now I have such an intolerance for being out in the cold--just not fun for me anymore. I'd rather sit in the lodge by the fire reading a good book!

This layout is from this week's SCS sketch #211 which was fun to use. I had to use this beautiful Memory Box dp that features snowy hills--I embellished it with some Ice Stickles. I colored with Copics (listed below) and distressed the edges w/ my Adirondack brown ink. I glittered up some of my snowflake punch-outs with my MS snow (love that stuff and it's sooo much better than the real cold snow)! The fun sentiment is from PTI's "Snowfall". Hope you likee!

Suzanne

Cupid Brings Blog Candy!!

Good morning everyone and Happy Wednesday! Is it snowing wherever you are? My kids are dyin' for some snow, but we've had nothing but rain & sleet and cold winds. I'd like ONE good snow for them and then I want spring to come, lol. I'm flying out to CHA in CA next week and I'm praying that the weather is not stormy when I leave. I HATE TO FLY--I am already having my nightmares about crashing and getting veryyyyy nervous! My poor friend Marti, she didn't know what she signed up for when she got her plane ticket with me :o) But I am excited about meeting up with alot of my bloggin' friends and seeing all the new goodies coming out! Speaking of goodies, I have Valentine's BLOG CANDY TO GIVEAWAY today!!

Make sure and scroll all the way down to the bottom to enter for the VALENTINE's BLOG CANDY!!

Today is Whatchadoin' Wednesday over at the Storage Units, Ink & More blog---today is challenge #23 and you have to make a holder/package for a Valentine's Day treat! If you want to join in the fun, upload your cards to SCS using the keyword "suinkwwc23" so we can all see! Make sure and stop by the SUINK blog to see the other DT gal's fun projects!

I used the cute lil' Cupid stamp from the "Will You Be My Valentine" set for both my card and treat holder. I also made my own patterned paper by taking the three sweettart hearts from the set and placing them on my acrylic block all together and stamping randomly onto my pink cs--super fun & easy! I used my Fiskars threading water punch to create the trims and added some stickles to Cupid of course :o)

These tubes are so fun to use and decorate. I filled mine with those new YUMMO strawberry milkshake Whoppers--lovee them! I just wrapped more of my cs around the tube and added some ribbon and another Cupid! These are quick & easy to put together if you want to make multiples of them! If you're interested in buying some of these fun tubes (mine I've had a while, but the new ones have cool twist tops), Susana's Store has them in stock right HERE.

***BLOG CANDY*** Denise, the wonderful owner of SUINK has allowed each of the DT gals to giveaway one of the new Valentine sets called "Will You Be My Valentine" which I used on my projects today(yours of course will be brand spankin' new, lol)! New Challenges!!

Hello again my friends! I have a little bit of a lengthy post for you today so I will not waste words and delve right in for ya!! Hope your week is going swell so far :o)

Today marks the start of "Try It Out Tuesdays" for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design Store and *NEW STORE BLOG* called "Follow Your Heart"!! We'd love to have you join us for our challenges---you can upload your creations to SCS or PCP with the keyword "TIOT1" so we can all see. This week's challenge was to create a card/project using the colors of black, white, gray & a POP of one other color!

So I wanted to use another of Karen Lockhart's fabulous new stamps, this one is "Lemons & Bay Leaves" on my project. And it just so happened that yesterday's Technique Challenge #203 on SCS was to make an origami box--directions here! Similar products go for over $20 in little boutiques and this was super easy to put together--you only need 2 sheets of 12x12 dp and some liteweight cardboard (I used a SU insert from their dp packs)! This is some of my favorite dp by Imaginisce called "Black Tie" that I hoard it cuz' I lovee it soooo much :o) I added some diamond glaze to the lemons for a nice shine & the cardstock layers were made with my Nestability Labels 1 and added a ribbon-tie closure and some black glitter dots too! I put in 3 packs of bright yellow post-it notes that you can keep on your desk, but you could load it up with all sorts of goodies!

Make sure and stop by Susana's new store blog to see what the rest of the DT has come up with for the challenge today. We will also have a weekly tutorial/technique on the blog along with spotlighted products! You can also join the new Paper Craft Planet store site for Susana's here -- we will have weekly challenges and prizes and other good stuff, so come join us!

My last card uses this week's Mojo Monday sketch #69 which I had soooo much fun working on. I will definitely use this sketch again! I used some of my new H&M Stamps that I got from their awesome Garage Sale and this fun set is called "The Cat's Meow" cuz' ya know how I love my furbabies :o) I know it's sold out on the store site & I'm not sure if Heather is getting more in, but if you REALLY love it and email her that, maybe she'll get more!!! The dp is from DCWV "Pet Stack" which has the cutest patterns to use. I added a nice helping of diamond glaze to the fish bowl for a glassy shine and some stickles to the lil' goldfish!

I will have Valentine's BLOG CANDY to giveaway tomorrow so make sure and stop by for it!!

hugz,
Suzanne
