Cup-a-Cocoa!!

Good Wednesday morning everyone! Middle of the week already, dontcha' just love 3 day weekends? Makes the work week alot shorter!! I am going to lunch today with my "lunch bunch" gal pals today--it will be good to catch up and just relax for a few hours. My son starts back up Tae Kwon Do tonight and my daughter's ballet is tonight too, so I'll be busy this evening.

I know I promised you the last Copic tutorial today, but I got my new Whiff of Joy stamps in the mail yesterday and just had to share my latest creation with you. I PROMISE to have the Copic tutorial posted on Thursday mornin' bright & early for ya!!! These new stamps are now for sale over on the Whiff of Joy site---you will definitely want to check them out. All of these new stamps are illustrated by the very talented Elisabeth Bell (Sugar Nellie/Sweet Ebony stamps) and they are all beautiful. There are two new stamp series: Willow and Oakley (cutie-pies that they are) and then the Guardian Angel series (beau-ti-ful).

Today I'm using one of the Willow stamps that I fell in love with first. In the winter I have a cup of hot chocolate every morning (I don't do coffee or tea) and so in my mind, Willow is having a steaming cup of cocoa!! Isn't she just lovely? Very pre-teen/teenager like, these new stamps of Willow and Oakley (the boy)--something the stamp world seems to be lacking in I think. I based all of the colors off of this lovely dp from Little Yellow Bicycle (Delightful Collection) and paired it with SU cs. She's colored with Copics and then I highlighted with my Inkssentials pen and some stickles in a few places. Not too complicated of a card I think. I used my new Fiskar's corner punch and distressed with some white ink. All of the flowers are Prima and the brads are by Doodlebug--the sentiment is from Hero Arts. I really like how this turned out--lovee the colors and the image is just so peaceful and reflective to me. Just wait till you see the other images--I will have more projects up soon showcasing all of them. And one of them will be up for grabs next week in some very yummy blog candy--you won't wanna miss it!!!

See ya tomorrow w/ my promised Copic tutorial! Have a great day!
Suzanne
